Meek Mill Buys $50,000 Of Dogecoin As Prices Inflate Due To Increased Media Attention

Crypto mania continues to tighten its hold on hip-hop as more and more jump on the blockchain wave in the hopes of a big payday. Just a week after Eminem reportedly pulled down almost $2 million selling a collection of NFTs and Nas purportedly made out like a bandit thanks to early investment in the cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase (prompting him to dub himself the “Cryptocurrency Scarface” on DJ Khaled’s “Sorry Not Sorry”), Meek Mill has joined in the feeding frenzy, buying $50,000 worth of the meme currency Dogecoin as prices rise in the wake of increased media coverage (but not scrutiny).

The rise was precipitated by this year’s flurry of coverage of the Reddit-shorted GameStop stock, as offshoots of the movement turned their focus to Dogecoin (“To the moon!”), like a rabbit hole with enticing lighting strewn up around it. After Elon Musk and his cultis– er, fans — sent the price flying thanks to a tweet from the SpaceX mogul, it looked like Dogecoin might actually be worth something, and noticing this Meek felt a fierce case of FOMO.

“I just grabbed some doge I’m tired of missing out,” he said on Twitter. Meanwhile, on Instagram, he posted a screenshot revealing both his investment — $50,000, or the price of a midsize sedan, or more than many Americans make in a year, depending on how you look at it — and his chronic misunderstanding of investment practices (buy low, sell high, Meek!).

We’ll see if it works out for him but for now, it looks like he’s another person who’s bullish on cryptocurrency and betting he can cash out before the casino closes.

Quotable Lyrics
Young n***a had to get used to the bag
N***a got rich, I ain’t even have a mixtape
N***a got rich, I was only 18
Couldn’t even go to the club and get shitfaced
Diamonds, they drunk and they dancin, get shitfaced
Remember we got into it with the switchblade?
Brody got hot in the hood, had to switch states

Zonnique Trolled Over T.I. & Tiny’s Sex Trafficking Allegations On IG Live

Clifford “T.I.” Harris and Tameka “Tiny” Harris has been accused by dozens of women of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and other serious crimes. Most recently, three new alleged victims came forward this month to accuse the couple of drugging, sex trafficking, rape, and more. As the victims and their lawyers seek an investigation into the Harris couple, uninvolved parties are being forced to entertain the public’s cries for more information.

Zonnique Pullins, Tiny’s daughter and T.I.’s step-daughter, was recently on Instagram Live when a fan joined the video and asked if they could rap for her. When she agreed to listen to the aspiring artist, Zonnique was trolled by the fan, who started berating her over the allegations against her parents. “So, question, when is your parents going to jail for taking all them people?” asked the fan. “How many kids are in the dungeon? When they going to jail?”

Zonnique was mature about the incident, remaining calm as the man continually yelled over her. She told them that she lives by herself and has nothing to do with the allegations against her parents before attempting to figure out how to remove him from the chat, which she eventually did after two minutes.

The uncomfortable exchange is available below. What do you think about this? We will continue to keep you updated as more information is released regarding the allegations against T.I. and Tiny.

Coi Leray’s Latest Thirst Trap Shows Off Her Goods In The Back & Front

Benzino’s baby gir— err, sorry! Rap sensation Coi Leray is currently taking the hip-hop world by storm, mainly due to the viral success of her TikTok hit “No More Parties” with Lil Durk and the current banger “BIG PURR (Prrdd)” alongside Tennessee’s current hometown hip-hop hero Pooh Shiesty. Similar to many female emcees before her, Coi is also a grade-A baddie with a fire body to prove it — a body that she also has zero problems showing off.

Giving a grand preview of the goods to all four million of her Instagram followers, the Republic Records signee left little to the imagination over a series of three flicks she recently posted on the social media platform. The first one gave a nice peak at her backside, which given her petite frame surprisingly gave her that “caked-up” look that we’re pretty sure she was going for. The second photo was a bit more covered up, with Coi opting to throw on a pair of oversized baggy jeans in the vain of ’90s Aaliyah, paired with a single”Black/Cement” Air Jordan 3 sneaker and what appears to be Lilo & Stitch earmuffs — equally as confused as y’all, but moving on!

The third pic is the one that we’d bet really made her followers “purr,” showing off a dangerous combo of bottom-of-the-boob cleavage and the infamous camel toe flex, complimented further with a blue butterfly thong. As if that wasn’t enough, Spongebob socks and Powerpuff Girls tattoos solidified her place as the ultimate hip-hop crush. Hey…if you got it, flaunt it!

Are you feeling Coi Leray’s latest thirst trap photo on Instagram, or should she just stick to rapping and leave IG modeling to the, well, IG models? Let us know your thoughts by sounding off down below in the comment section:

Yung Mal & Pooh Shiesty Link Up On “Walkin”

Yung Mal is heating the streets up. Initially joining the 1017 roster as part of Mal & Quill, the rapper’s solo efforts have now been released directly through Alamo Records but there’s no bad blood with his former label. In fact, the rapper returned today with a new collaboration alongside 1017’s star pupil Pooh Shiesty who assists on “Walkin.” A chilling Memphis-style beat backs the two rappers who weave through the piano keys with details of vengeance and street warfare.

The latest from Yung Mal arrives after the release of April’s “1.5 Way or No Way.” After releasing 6 Rings in 2020, it appears that the recent slew of singles he’s released are in preparation to a follow-up project.

As for Pooh Shiesty, the rapper is fresh off of the release of Shiesty Season which produced the smash single, “Back In Blood” ft. Lil Durk. Check out our Rise & Grind interview with Shiesty here.

Quotable Lyrics
Ask about us, get the drop, you gone less than a week
No, ain’t no gettin’ away, they said some shit, maybe, I’m forever beefin’
I’m in my prime, you n***as washed up, all my work be recent

Meek Mill Reveals Son’s Name & Shares First Picture Of His Face

After keeping his son’s face shielded from the world on social media, Meek Mill has finally posted the first picture of his baby boy ahead of his first birthday. Celebrating his first turn around the sun on Thursday, Meek’s son got a proper reveal on Instagram with the rapper sharing a picture of his face and telling his fans his name.

“Happy bday czar,” he said as his caption, revealing the given name of his baby boy with fashion designer Milan Harris. “Love you tomar your first big day!!!! can’t wait to see you love you!!!”

Amazingly enough, Meek and his son share the same birthday! In the photo, Czar wears a Burberry bucket hat, an open white shirt, ripped denim, and two iced-out chains around his neck. Meek had previously protected his son’s identity by placing emojis over his face or keeping him off social media altogether. In the comments, people are wishing Czar a happy early birthday, telling his rapper dad how cute he looks in the picture.

Meek will surely be spoiling his baby boy with lots of gifts tomorrow. Whatever he gets his son, he has a chance to make that money back pretty quickly. Last night, Meek revealed that he bought $50,000 worth of Dogecoin. The cryptocurrency continues to grow, reaching an all-time high on Tuesday. His investment could end up doubling in the coming months.

Happy early birthday, Czar and Meek!

LeBron James Speaks Out Following Ma’Khia Bryant Tweet Controversy

LeBron James is possibly the most identifiable basketball player of this generation and he doesn’t take the responsibilities that come with it lightly. James has continued to be outspoken about social issues affecting Black and Brown communities across America, even if it causes unnecessary uproar. The Lakers star was subject to scrutiny by right-wing pundits and police officers following the death of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant.

“You’re Next #Accountability,” he wrote on Twitter, hours after Derek Chauvin was read a guilty verdict. Many refused to acknowledge the timely social reference and began accusing the NBA star of inciting violence. A Cincinnati bar owner banned NBA games from being shown at his establishment. The LAPD union demanded that the NBA launch an investigation into James while a Los Angeles police officer condemned his message in an open letter that went viral.

Despite the complaints from authority figures and conservatives, there was little conversation surrounding the death of a 16-year-old girl. James recently took to Twitter where he acknowledged that his tweet ultimately took away from the issue at hand. “I fueled the wrong conversation about Ma’Khia Bryant and I owe it to her and this movement to change it,” he wrote with a link to an article titled “Why they’re not saying Ma’khia Bryant’s name” written by Fabiola Cineas for VOX. “Thank you @fabiolacineas for educating us about Ma’Khia and her story and why this needs to be about her.”
