Watch SZA Perform A Brand-New Song, ‘Shirt,’ At Grey Goose’s ‘In Bloom’ Concert

In a pre-recorded collaborative concert with Grey Goose titled In Bloom, SZA unveiled part of a brand-new song, “Shirt,” live. Fans and social media users might already be familiar with the silky track, as it made the rounds on TikTok earlier this year when the R&B sensation shared a snippet of “Shirt” to her Instagram story. Likewise, SZA’s “Good Days” video included a tease of the new track near the clip’s end.

In a statement prior to the event, SZA said:

“I feel like In Bloom really captures where I’m at right now, especially after a year and a half of lockdown, which is also why it feels like the best place to debut some of my new material. I’m so excited for my fans to see this performance.”

At the event, which took place in Los Angeles, SZA also provided an update regarding the long-anticipated follow-up to 2017’s critically adored Ctrl. “I’m actually probably about to scrap all of it and start from scratch,” she told WWD about the new record. “I think [fans will] be surprised to know that it’s not what they thought, and it’s not coming when they thought,” she said. “I hope that they’ll be pleasantly surprised.” Then she added, “I’m literally not talking about my album anymore until it’s out in the world. At this point, I’m gonna start jinxing it, and I don’t want to jinx anything.”

To hear SZA perform a bit of “Shirt,” head to the 49:05 mark in the video above.

Cardi B Is Thankful She Didn’t Get The Face Tattoo She Wanted As A Teenager

Cardi B has a distinct look: When you see her, there’s no mistaking that it’s Cardi. If she had made one different decision as a teenager, though, her appearance would be even more idiosyncratic today. On Twitter last night, she revealed that when she was younger, she wanted a face tattoo.

Cardi tweeted, “Everyday I’m thankful at the fact that ain’t get this face tatt I wanted when I was 16.” She then followed up by describing her previous ink plans, sharing a GIF of Mel B facepalming on America’s Got Talent and writing, “Little stars from the top of my eyebrow swirling down to my jaw.”

Cardi actually has a tattoo that’s somewhat similar to that proposed one, though, as behind her right ear, she has a tattoo of a star next to the American Sign Language symbol for “I love you.”

Meanwhile, Cardi has been busy lately. She stole the show at the 2021 BET Awards by revealing that she is pregnant. She also has a role in the new movie Fast & Furious 9 and she loves her character, saying in a behind-the-scenes clip, “I like the fact that I’m representing such a powerful, strong woman. She’s just that bitch [laughs]. […] I remember when I saw Ludacris in Fast & The Furious, […] then to see Don Omar, it makes the hood have hope. Being around Vin [Diesel], he’s just so nice, so dope. He makes you feel so comfortable. I’m just so excited.”

Cardi B is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Cordae Educates The Youth On “Taxes” For Netflix Show “We The People”

Taxes… they suck, but we’ve all got to pay them. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Sometimes, it can be pretty difficult to wrap your head around the concept of taxes, but they’re important to keep our cities running as they do. Even the former President didn’t pay his taxes… so why should we? Well, rapper Cordae broke down the reasons why on his latest song “Taxes,” which is featured in Netflix’s We The People.

The new track, produced by Take A Daytrip, looks at how taxes became a thing, where that money is spent, and why it’s so important that everyone pays them on time. If you’re looking to educate yourself on taxes, or you’ve got a little brother or sister that could learn about financial literacy, show them this new record from Cordae.

What do you think of “Taxes?”

Quotable Lyrics:

You see, taxes pay for roads and interstates
And our local library that they just had to renovate
Not to mention, I grew up on food stamps and Section 8
All of which co-exist because of taxes we pay

G Herbo & 21 Savage Secure Position On “T.O,P”

It’s easy to say that the latest project from G Herbo is a total doozy, with songs like ”Turning 25” and “You Can’t,” there is one that goes too hard against the fray.

T.O.P. boasts a 21 Savage feature so ostentatious it makes you want to just get in whatever car he’s driving with him. With production so bouncy and damn-near Carti-esque, the two rappers really go in.

One thing I will say, though, which is pretty unnecessary in Herbo’s verse is when he spits “Going crazy like ADD.”  Having had that shit for a minute now, let’s just say, it makes nothing worth rapping about. It’s just very easy to doubt that he’s going that crazy.

But, it’s pretty clever and that much is surely easy to appreciate. And the same applies to the remainder of the Chicago spitter’s latest album. This, on top of tacks like “Stand The Rain” and “I Don’t Wanna Die” merely make for a trio of its standouts. Let us know which song you like the most.

Quotable Lyrics:
I don’t really talk on phones, we put you to bed if we find out you fed (On God)
I got them sticks in the shed, the bullets is big, they knockin’ out dreads

Kawhi Leonard’s Knee Injury Continues To Be A Mystery

Kawhi Leonard was a huge addition to the Los Angeles Clippers all the way back in 2019 and since then, the Clippers have become a threat to win the title. This year, the Clippers made it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history and while they came up a few games short, there is no denying that they were an impressive team. Had it not been for Kawhi’s knee injury in the second round, there is a very good chance this team could have gone on to win the title.

Curiously, little is known about this injury as very few updates have been given to the public. According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, no one knows if his knee injury is simply a bad tear or a full-on ACL tear, which would keep him out of basketball for the better part of a year. Not to mention, this injury could affect his free agency plans as he has a player option with the Clippers.

This mystery certainly has some fans worried, especially when you consider his history in San Antonio and how his nagging quad injury had even more mystery behind it. With all of this in mind, Kawhi and the Clippers have a lot to worry about right now, and it could make for a very interesting summer.

With this information in mind, which team would you like to see Kawhi play with next year? Let us know in the comments below.

Tabitha Brown Responds To Wendy Williams By Respectfully Reading Her To Filth

Because of Tabitha Brown’s tremendous success, she was able to retire her husband from the police force after fifteen years, marking a special moment for her family. Wendy Williams commented on the situation during a recent episode of her talk show, taking a negative stance and projecting her own relationship problems onto Tabitha and Chance Brown, claiming that she was also married to “one of those” kinds of men and predicting that their marriage will crumble soon.

She didn’t need to respond to the drama but Tabitha Brown fired back with a heavy dose of shade, respectfully delivering it with a prayer as spectators continue to go crazy over her clap back.

Wendy, the pain you must be in to feel this way, honey, I’m so sorry. But listen, let me tell you this. Twenty-three years I’ve been with my husband, broke for a very long time together. Struggled for a very long time together. Succeeded for the last couple of years together,” said Tabitha in her response, which has gone viral. “I did every year with him in the LAPD and he did every year with me with rejection and no’s in this entertainment industry. However, God has blessed me… I’ve been praying on this for a very long time and it has now come to pass. That is the power of God. It’s also the power of allowing God to be first in your marriage. That’s how it remains successful, we keep Him first. He is first in our marriage. Not money, not business, not success, but God. He’s first.”

She maturely offered a prayer for Wendy, saying, “I pray that someone will love you enough to see you when you are not well, to see when you need true support, to see you when you need compassion, to see you when you need kindness. I pray that somebody loves you enough to sacrifice their life for you. I pray that type of love finds you so that you can understand why I don’t want my husband to put his life on the line anymore, wearing a bulletproof vest if he don’t have to, and if it’s not his desire.”

Master P’s Son, Hercy Miller, Signs $2 Million Deal Following NCAA Rule Change

Hours after the NCAA ruled in favor of student-athletes receiving money on “likeness,” Hercy Miller, Master P’s son, is already taking advantage. TMZ caught up with Hercy and his father in Beverly Hills yesterday, and asked them about their new 2 million dollar deal.

“It was a 2 million dollar deal. It’s incredible. This is gonna change the way college athletes want to stay in school,” Master P says. “I’m proud of my son going to a HBCU. This is like playing in the pros now,” he added.

Hercy then spoke to the camera, and confirmed he signed with an American technology company. “I signed a deal with an American technology company. Like my dad said, it’s a blessing,” the incoming Tennessee State frosh said. Later adding, “I learned from my dad, I’m gonna start off by giving back to the community and everyone around me. I have a camp July 21,” Hercy says before saying he will also cop himself a new car with the money.

The deal had been in the making for a while now, first reporting a few months back that Master P had everything lined up but was just waiting for the NCAA rules to change and alas here we are. Congrats to Hercy!
