Young Stoner Life Adds Young Thug, Future, & YTB Trench To The Remix Of Unfoonk’s “Mob Ties”

It’s only been one full week since Slime Language 2 hit DSPs, but the compilation album from Young Thug’s label, Young Stoner Life Records, packed so many great cuts that Hip-Hop fans have kept revisiting the album. In addition to the beloved Young Thug and Gunna team-up on “Ski,” appearances from Drake, Travis Scott, and Lil Uzi Vert have propelled other cuts from the album, including “Solid,” “Diamonds Dancing,” and “Proud of You,” respectively.

Another song that really stood out to fans came courtesy of Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk, who stunned listeners on the soul-baring cut “Real.” With the release of the “Real” music video, it appeared that Unfoonk was really gaining steam in his career and becoming an integral part of the YSL family. Now, following the release of the deluxe version of Slime Language 2, Unfoonk has earned himself another major placement.

“Mob Ties Remix” is a revamped version of the closing track from Unfoonk’s 2020 project 11 Years No Tears, and although Slimelife Shawty is no longer present on the record, Unfoonk and originally featured artist 24Heavy are now joined by Young Thug, Future, and YTB Trench. The result is a high-energy affair that looks to once again steal the show from an already stacked Slime Language 2 Deluxe.

Check out Young Stoner Life’s star-studded remix of “Mob Ties” below.

Quotable Lyrics

Surrounded by the grimy, knock below the devil, let him in
Big stick, b*tch hit like metal pin
I be off that dope, they know how Trench get, yeah

Justin Bieber Sang “Lonely” During His Trip To California State Prison

As we recently saw with Travis Scott speaking on Derek Chauvin’s guilty verdict in his trial for killing George Floyd, even the biggest celebrities and artists in the music industry take time to give back to the community. Last month, Justin Bieber decided to uplift people in a different type of way, by visiting a prison to spend some time with people who are currently incarcerated at the California State Prison.

It was previously reported that Justin and his pastor had traveled there to pray alongside California prisoners, but in newly surfaced footage from TMZ, it’s revealed that the Changes artist actually performed three to four songs, including the Justice album closer “Lonely.”

Some of the lyrics of his Benny Blanco-featured song “Lonely” include lines like “Everybody knows my past now/Like my house was always made of glass/And maybe that’s the price you pay” and “And everybody saw me sick/And it felt like no one gave a sh*t/They criticized the things I did as an idiot kid.” Depending on their charges, the message could possibly relate to some of the people in that prison who may still be incarcerated for crimes that they committed in their youth.

According to TMZ, Justin Bieber‘s visit to the California State Prison wasn’t just about performing singles from his new album. The outlet reports that the Justice singer also spent some time with prisoners outside in the yard by sitting in a circle and listening to several people speak.

Moneybagg Yo & Pharrell Williams Take It Back With “Certified Neptunes”

Moneybagg Yo has officially dropped off his new album A Gangsta’s Paina project that serves to provide a thorough examination of the Memphis rapper. And while there is certainly much to unpack on the project, which features guest appearances from Future, Lil Durk, and Pharrell Williams, nostalgic hip-hop heads will find it difficult to ignore the appeal of track eighteen — “Certified Neptunes.”

Marking the first collaboration between Moneybagg and Skateboard P, many expected this one after Williams declared Yo to be his “favorite rapper.” And not only does he provide vocals, but he also reunites with longtime Neptunes associate Chad Hugo behind the boards. As such, there’s a chillier quality to the production, one that benefits Yo’s rugged persona and formidable mic presence. “I’m gettin’ too much money to sit up and play, these the type of games I’m playin’,” he spits. “Get a massage in Chinatown, It’s heaven on earth, on Ricky Tan.”

Give “Certified Neptunes” a listen now, and sound off if you think Moneybagg Yo should be rapping on more Neptunes beats moving forward.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Hol’ up, wait, it’s me again, don’t look like you don’t call me twin
See the whip my side-bitch in? I got that off CPN
I’m gettin’ too much money to sit up and play
These the type of games I’m playin’
Get a massage in Chinatown, it’s heaven on earth, on Ricky Tan
