Snoop Dogg Threatens Switch To Soulja Boy Console

EA is no stranger to fielding scorn from the gaming community. Yet a threat from Snoop Dogg carries more weight than that of the average irate gamer. An ardent online competitor in his own right, Snoop recently found his quiet-night-in disrupted by a server outage, one that left him incapable of engaging in his fierce Madden rivalries. As such, he took to Instagram to issue the gaming corporation an ultimatum, one that found him looking toward different — though not necessarily greener — pastures.

“EA, you n***as got thirty-minutes to get them servers back on,” warns Snoop. “If you don’t, I’m switching to the Soulja Boy Console. I know that n***a got some games on that muthafucka that work. Soulja Boy, hit your uncle up. Draco! You got Madden on your shit? Cause EA playing games. I done been hit by a thousand muthafuckas — they saying they want to play. What the fuck man! Get it together. Get right, or get left. Soulja Boy, get Madden on your shit.”

Soulja Boy wasted little time in responding to Uncle Snoop’s message, sharing a clip on Instagram and promoting his infamous SouljaGame console in the process. “Tell em unk @snoopdogg,” he writes, though no word on whether he’s planning on pursuing making Madden a cross-platform affair. In fact, it’s not even entirely clear as to whether the SouljaGame supports online functionality to begin with. Either way, it still makes for an amusing clip — even if it doesn’t ultimately lead to any Snoop-narrated “Fighting Soulja – Draco Editio‪n” Let’s Play videos.

Travis Scott Is Delivering Food To Over 50K Houston Residents Affected By The Winter Storm

Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation has partnered with the city of Houston to provide aid to 50,000+ residents who were impacted by the recent winter storm that knocked out power and left Texans in freezing conditions with no heat or water. In a press release announcing the aid program, it’s noted that the Cactus Jack Foundation worked with local agencies including The National Association of Christian Churches, The Black Service Chamber, and even local restaurant owners to identify the most vulnerable people in need of assistance.

The program is using trucks loaded with hot food and clean water to deliver these needed goods directly to people with disabilities, families with children under the age of 18, senior citizens and homebound adults, and unemployed or low-income individuals who may not have access to transportation and other resources.

Travis isn’t the only Houston resident pitching in. After Texas Senator Ted Cruz basically bailed on his constituents for a family vacation in Mexico (build that wall, right?), Houstonians looked out for one another. Beyonce teamed with her Ivy Park partners at Adidas to provide financial aid to individuals, while Megan Thee Stallion and Ellen DeGeneres gave a donation of $50,000 to a local nurse who moved from Mississippi to help with coronavirus treatment efforts and got stuck in a hotel with five kids.

Even former residents like James Harden, who was traded to Brooklyn Nets earlier this year, is giving back to his former adopted city, giving away hot food from his restaurant last weekend. This week he also told reporters postgame after defeating my Clippers that he’s been on calls with Houston’s mayor, local plumbers, and his sponsors at BodyArmor to provide water to the city and more.

Shelley (FKA D.R.A.M.) Releases His New Single “Exposure”

Last year, LVRN-signed hitmaker D.R.A.M. changed his artist name to his given name, officially going by Shelley professionally. The only music he had released under his new moniker came by way of the LVRN holiday album, lending vocals to some tracks on there. Finally, Shelley has released his first new single under the rebrand, dropping the “Exposure” music video today.

The new single is a soulful record about falling in love, showing Shelley at his most vulnerable, hoping that he’s ready to give and accept love from his partner. It comes following a full year of self-reflection from Shelley, who didn’t release much new music in 2020. Hopefully, this signals a new start for the artist formerly known as D.R.A.M.

Watch the new music video below, directed by Christian Sutton. What do you think of Shelley’s new direction?

Quotable Lyrics:

Let me love you inside-out and outside-in
Let me touch your soul before I touch your skin
When you expose yourself to me
You have my consent, I wanted to see
What lies underneath
‘Cause beauty to me is more than skin-deep

Air Jordan 4 “White Oreo” Gets Official Images: Release Info

These last few years have seen a plethora of Air Jordan 4 colorways make it to the market, especially in light of the fact that the silhouette celebrated its 30th birthday back in 2019. Since that time, Jumpman has kept the party going and we have seen numerous dope offerings hit the market. 2021 is certainly going to see a lot of hype towards the Jordan 4 and with the “White Oreo” colorway, it’s crystal clear that Jumpman has a winner here.

This new colorway resembles the infamous “White Cement” offering except for this time around, we have a much more white throughout the upper, all while the midsole has that signature grey and black speckled feel to it. Limited red is placed on these as we really only get some on the tongue and on the insole. Overall, it’s an incredibly clean model and they will be perfect for the summer months.

Travis Porter Explain How They Fell Off

Travis Porter, the Atlanta rap trio made up of Ali, Quez, and Strap, had a period of a few years when they were ruling the club scene. Their music is still jumping, but they haven’t had the same attention in a minute. At this point, they’ve had enough time to reflect on what went wrong, and they’re being open and honest about how they fell off, speaking with No Jumper’s Adam22 about their rise and fall during a recent interview.

Catching up with the guys for the No Jumper podcast, Adam22 asked Travis Porter what happened to cause them to completely fall off in terms of relevance, and they had a few different theories. The first directly involves Bankroll Fresh and his passing.

“To be a thousand, our last joint that we really put out was a song with our homie Bankroll Fresh. It was called “Walked In”. That was really like when everyone was like, ‘damn’,” they said. “It was kind of one of those really heartbreaking situations where someone is with you every day.” Quez said that, after Fresh passed away, he wasn’t inspired to hit the studio for a long time. They were working on a collaborative project with the late rapper.

Of course, their label situation also had something to do with their falling off. Ali suggests that the group’s demise was mostly their fault though, saying, “We wasn’t really just in tune all the way, or I wasn’t,” he said. “Just everything. And, you know, the label [Jive] collapsed and we had to go be with some label that didn’t really f*ck with us.”

The three guys agree that that was a big part of their falling off, saying that the people that were assigned to work for them didn’t really care much about pushing them to a new level. They said that RCA tried to change them, saying that they wanted “corny” poppy music from them.

Coolio Returns With Comeback Track “Out Fa The Bag”

It’s been a minute, but Coolio has officially returned to the game. Though it’s been a minute since the “Gangsta’s Paradise” legend was active on the scene, it would appear he’s ready to launch a full-blown comeback, going so far as to resign with his former label Tommy Boy Records. And while he certainly made his mark during his heydey, it seems as if the veteran Compton emcee has done his part to adjust to the modern musical climate, as evidenced by his brand new single “Out Fa The Bag.”

Featuring an assist from Al and C.L.A.Y, Coolio’s latest may very well raise eyebrows from some listeners, if only for the major stylistic shift. Taking to an up-tempo instrumental from DJ Wino, Coolio slides in with a reliable flow and a simple goal in mind: securing the bag. “Whatup to my killers and all my bitches,” he raps, his delivery rugged. “I hope ya’ll ready to get these riches / stack that guap those dividends / me and Wino pimpin’ in an all blue Benz.”

While it’s unclear as to whether Coolio intends on following through with a new album, this return, unexpected though it may be, is welcome news for longtime fans of the beloved rap figure. Check it out for yourself now.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Whatup to my killers and all my bitches,
I hope ya’ll ready to get these riches
Stack that guap those dividends
Me and Wino pimpin’ in an all-blue Benz
