Wendy Williams Says She’s “Doing Fabulous,” While Leaving Wellness Center

Wendy Williams provided another update on her health for fans while being videotaped leaving a wellness center in Miami, earlier this week. Williams says she’s “doing fabulous,” amidst ongoing health problems that are keeping her from hosting her daily talk show.

In a clip posted by The Shade Room, Williams can be heard saying that she’s “doing fabulous,” and promising fans that “much more Wendy stuff” is on the way.

Williams has been on an extended hiatus from her show for several months now. Michael Rapaport, Jerry Springer, Sherri Shepherd, and more have all filled in as guest hosts.

In November, Williams revealed that her treatment will take longer than expected.

“HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected,” she wrote in a statement on social media. “I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready. I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can’t be there.”

Young Dolph’s Partner Shares Heartbreaking Video Tribute

Memphis rapper Young Dolph’s passing last month was a hard one to stomach. The 36-year-old rapper had always been one of the leaders of his community, constantly making sure to give back to the people around him, as well as anybody having a hard time making ends meet. Dolph’s generosity and philanthropy have been documented at length over the years, and his partner Mia Jaye has long advocated that “Black men deserve to grow old.”

As she grieves the loss of the father of her two children, Mia Jaye has shared a video tribute to Young Dolph, born Adolph Thornton, Jr., after he was laid to rest this week.

“Long Live My King… My Heart… My Soulmate… I love you,” said Mia Jaye about Dolph.

The video includes footage of the late rapper spending quality time with his kids Tre Tre and Aria, as well as his partner Mia. 

This comes following Mia’s initial posts about Dolph’s passing, where she said, “Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers, love, support, calls, messages… I may not see them all but when my eyes are not full of tears, I catch a few. Nonetheless, all the genuine positive vibes, energy and prayers are welcome… because Lord knows I need them… [praying hands emoji].”

LPB Poody Reveals His Favorite Restaurants In Orlando On “Snack Review”

West Orlando’s own LPB Poody recently stopped by HNHH for the latest episode of Snack Review, in which artists taste test and discuss an assortment of their favorite and most classic munchies. In the second part of Poody’s appearance, the “I’m The One” rapper discusses cereals, beverages, as well as his favorite hometown spots to hit up in Orlando.

As for his favorite breakfast cereal, Poody lists Honey Smacks as his number one with Cap’n Crunch Berries, Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Flakes, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch as honorable mentions.

When in Orlando, Poody says he recommends checking out a wing spot called Flyers and says he loves hibachi and soul food. He also still enjoys eating Popeyes and McDonalds to this day.

Poody also reveals his love for seafood, admitting it’s the food that he’s spent the most money on.

“I ain’t gonna lie, I eat a lot of crawfish,” he says. “I’ma turn into one of them because I eat it so much. I eat crawfish probably four times out of the week. It be so much grease and oil in them.”

As for the most disgusting food Poody has tried, he emphatically names zucchini.

Mercedes-Benz Reveals Virgil Abloh’s Electric Project Maybach Car Design

Mercedes-Benz has revealed a concept Maybach car designed by Virgil Abloh, at the request of his family, that is geared for off-roading. Abloh passed away, Sunday, at the age of 41.

The electric coupe comes in a tan and black two-tone colorway with solar panels in the hood.

Mercedes-Benz released a statement announcing that the vehicle will be on display at the Rubell Museum in Miami.

“Our thoughts are with Virgil’s family and teams,” the official statement reads. “In order to respectfully honor the work of a unique talented designer who, through his unbridled imagination, has created endless opportunities for collaboration and inspired everyone who knew his work, Mercedes-Benz is opening up Project MAYBACH, and with it Virgil’s unique vision, to the public.”

Abloh’s friend and fellow designer, Heron Preston, shared pictures from the exhibit on his Instagram, Wednesday.

“He snapped! Off road Maybach!!!” Preston captioned the post.

Mercedes-Benz also shared photos of the concept car on Instagram with a tribute to the late designer: “The world has lost a genius. But his inspiration and legacy will live on. In honor of Virgil Abloh — Project Maybach.”

Project Maybach will be available to see at the Rubell Museum in Miami from December 1–2.

Tierra Whack Returns With A New Three-Song EP, ‘Rap?’

Tierra Whack has had an interesting career trajectory so far. After beginning her career as a battle rapper named Dizzle Dizz, she reverted to her real name in 2017 and dropped her high-concept debut album, Whack World, in 2018. Despite a 15-minute runtime consisting of 15 one-minute songs, Whack World became a critical and commercial hit, earning Whack a placement on the 2019 XXL Freshman Class alongside soon-to-be massive stars like Cordae, DaBaby, Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty, and Roddy Ricch.

However, since then, her output has been somewhat… let’s just say “sporadic.” After releasing a string of intriguing singles in 2019, she’s restricted new releases mainly to feature verses on other artists’ songs (Willow and Janelle Monae‘s) and singles released as part of brand partnerships like “76” with the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers (her hometown team), “8” from the Madden NFL 22 soundtrack, and “Link” as part of Lego’s Rebuild The World Campaign, as well as a handful of impressive freestyles over past hits like Ludacris’ “Stand Up,” Onyx’s “Last Dayz,” and CJ’s “Whoopty.”

Earlier this week, however, she teased a new EP titled Rap? alluding to the eclectic mashup of styles she’s used on previous releases. The EP, which is apparently meant to commemorate the release of her new Vans collection, dropped today as promised, featuring three tracks: “Meagan Good,” “Millions,” and “Stand Up.” And yes, all three tracks are most certainly fantastic examples of the genre, giving Whack plenty of opportunities to showcase her rap talent.

Hulu Takes Down A TV Special Titled ‘Astroworld: Concert From Hell’ After Backlash

Tragedy struck last month during Travis Scott’s performance at his annual Astroworld festival. A massive crowd surge of 50,000 people left hundreds injured and ten people dead, including a nine-year-old boy. Seeing as families and friends of victims are still coping with the insurmountable loss, many thought Hulu’s decision to host a TV special titled Astroworld: Concert From Hell on their site was highly insensitive.

The 50-minute Astroworld: Concert From Hell program recapped the events that went down at the Houston festival. The description of the documentary special says it gives a “minute-by-minute look at what happened” that night: “Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival was supposed to be the concert of a lifetime. But it turned into a tragic nightmare. A minute-by-minute look at what happened in the crowd, the young victims who were killed, and what happens next.”

People on social media caught eventually caught wind of the documentary special and condemned Hulu, with one user saying it was in “poor taste.” Eventually, Hulu opted to remove it from their website completely. A spokesperson for Hulu told Variety: “This was an investigative local news special from ABC13/KTRK-TV in Houston that originally aired on November 20th. This was not a Hulu documentary and has since been removed to avoid confusion.”

RayFace Needs ‘No Middle Man’ For A Boastful ‘UPROXX Sessions’ Performance

After highlighting Houston rappers like Erica Banks and KenTheMan, UPROXX Sessions once again plays host to a Space City spitter in RayFace, who stops through for a boastful performance of his 2020 single, “No Middle Man.”

An adherent of Houston’s long-held tradition of independently released music, RayFace founded his own record label, Self Made Music, while also running other businesses on the side. His self-released mixtapes include Underrated and Trapademic, from which he’s released a slew of self-funded music videos, including “Out The Trap” “Got To Have It” and “Tell Me Why,” the latter containing a feature from fellow self-made Houstonite Slim Thug.

Although he’s still a relative newcomer without the resources of a major-label artist, two of the videos he’s released this year have garnered over a million views on YouTube and his polished presentation suggests that he’s got all the tools he needs to build an even bigger buzz in the future.

Mad Cool Adds Jack White, London Grammar, Stormzy, And More To Complete An Insane Lineup

Coming into its fifth anniversary, Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival is already one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, bringing nearly 200,000 revelers to the sprawling Valdebebas urban open space venue. The initial 2022 lineup was announced in June and was heavy on the rock and roll acts with Metallica, Muse, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Pixies, Faith No More, Twenty One Pilots, and Placebo leading the way.

They took it a step further in October adding a fifth day to the summer fest and artists like Haim, Florence + The Machine, and Nathy Peluso. Now they’ve beefed the lineup up one final time adding Jack White as the fifth day headliner and infusing the lineup with more big name acts like Stormzy, London Grammar, Modest Mouse, Two Door Cinema Club, Local Natives, and Mura Masa.

It brings the grand total to 144 artists playing across the festival’s five nights. Other artists playing on this comprehensive bill include St. Vincent, The War On Drugs, Beabadoobee, Arlo Parks, Phoebe Bridgers, Leon Bridges, Animal Collective, Tinashe, Glass Animals, Carly Rae Jepsen, Chvrches, Wolf Alice, and loads more.
