Questlove is not feeling the Kendrick Lamar-Drake beef. On Instagram, Questlove said the battle was not about skill.

“Nobody won the war,” Questlove wrote. “This wasn’t about skill. This was a wrestling match level mudslinging and takedown by any means necessary – women & children (&actual faacts) be damned. Same audience wanting blood will soon put up ‘rip’ posts like they weren’t part of the problem. Hip Hop Is Truly Dead.”

A rumor is running rampant online, stating Universal Music Group is looking to step in and host a group Zoom, with Kendrick Lamar and Drake included. The rumor alleged Lamar is doing damage to Drake’s reputation with pedophile allegations.

TMZ hopped in and stated the rumor was “totally unfounded,” and no one asked Lamar to put out a statement that would backtrack his statements in the diss records. Furthermore, there was no Zoom meeting and no ask of a Zoom meeting. Additionally, UMG would never interject in the feud.

Also, why should UMG want it to wrap up? More music, more beef, more streams, more dollars.

According to ChartData, “Not Like Us” has the biggest single streaming day for a Hip-Hop song in history, surpassing Drake’s “Girls Like Girls” featuring Lil Baby.

“Not Like Us” has hit the top of the Global Spotif chart with 10.986 million streams. “Girls Like Girls” was at 6.593.

Cody Rhodes’ Theme Topped The iTunes Rock Chart After His WrestleMania 40 Win

Rhodes
WWE

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes didn’t just finish his story, he capitalized on everything he’s worked for over the last few years to elevate himself to the face of WWE. Holding the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship for the first time in his career, Rhodes will also roll into Monday Night Raw as the driving force behind the band Downstait claiming the top song on the iTunes Rock chart following his win.

When Rhodes returned to WWE three years ago, he was intentional about every aspect of his character. Maintaining the gimmick he’d created wasn’t in question — he had trademarked everything and has the tattoo of his logo prominently placed on his neck. And when it came to his music, he was adamant everything stay intact.

“The music, it wasn’t that there was any pushback, as much as it was, what does it matter? We make great music here too, and really they do,” Rhodes told Uproxx Sports ahead of his American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes documentary. “I’ve heard a song that was a version for me here. That was an area where I was adamant, and Kevin Dunn was very generous in that he allowed that to be the case. Now I couldn’t think of the bit without it. There’s some fans who are absolutely on board and they know every part of this movie you’re going to see. And then there’s other fans who know, this is where we go, ‘whoa,’ at the show and that may be their only thing. What we’ve discovered was this rallying cry against WWE, which is what the song is, is very catchy. That was an area where I knew it was important enough to fight for it.”

The song has become tied to Rhodes and his rise to the top, and will now follow him into his first appearance as champion on Monday Night Raw.

However, interference from Jimmy Uso threatened Rhodes’ ascent, prompting an intervention from Jey Uso. With the odds seemingly stacked against him, Rhodes continued to fight, executing a daring Spear through the barricade in a bid to overcome Reigns.

Lil Wayne Will Debut His Anticipated New Single At Wrestlemania 40

Lil Wayne is officially in the mix. The legendary rapper confirmed that he will be one of several notable celebrities to attend Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia. Wayne made the announcement during a brief but memorable interaction with superstar Jey Uso on the most recent episode of WWE Monday Night RAW. Not only will he be attending, but the rapper will be debuting a new song as well.

Uso was starstruck upon bumping into Wayne backstage, and urged the rapper to make time in his busy schedule to “come through” to Philly. Of course, Wayne didn’t take much convincing. “Imma be there and you know what, I’m bringing my single,” he asserted. “World premiere. WrestleMania. You know what it is.” The title of the single, and its producer, have yet to be announced. Nevertheless, Uso is eager to hear it. He gave Wayne a taste of his signature catchphrase “yeet” upon learning about the rapper’s plans, and got a “yeet” in return!

Lil Wayne announced the song on RAW

A new single from Lil Wayne may not seem like a big deal, given the rapper’s massive output, but it’s actually been a while since he dropped solo material. He put out the 2 Chainz collab album Welcome 2 Collegrove and the mixtape Tha Fix Before Tha VI at the end of 2023, but he hasn’t released a new solo single since September. Wayne is currently working on the anticipated album Tha Carter VI, which was announced back in 2022. The new single will stand next to previous Carter VI era tracks like “Kant Nobody” featuring DMX and “Kat Food.”

It’s a good year to be a Wayne fan living in Philadelphia. In addition to the rapper’s Wrestlemania 40 appearance, he will be performing at the 2024 Roots Picnic at the Mann in Fairmount Park. Wayne will co-headline the event with R&B singer and Philly native Jill Scott. Other notable performers at the Roots Picnic include Andre 3000, Gunna and Victoria Monet.
