YG Puts “Scandalous” People On Blast As Fans Try To Uncover Who He’s Talking About

YG is fresh off of a new single where he called out other rappers for being weird. The song is fittingly called “WEIRD” and it’s the third single from his upcoming mixtape Just Re’d Up 3. The mixtape is part of a series as its name would suggest, but newer fans of the “FDT” rapper will be forgiven if they haven’t heard of the trilogy before. The original mixtape dropped all the way back in 2011 and the sequel a few years later in 2013. Both predate his breakthrough project My Krazy Life, which he’s celebrating the 10-year anniversary of this year.

Now YG is continuing his recent trend of calling out his contemporaries with a new series of Instagram story posts. The first post called out “scandalous” people and concluded “when yg start trippin tho they gon say he trippin.” In the second post he calls out one specific individual, though doesn’t mention them by name. He follows that up by saying that he’s “slappin sh*t all summer.” Fans are mixed on what to make of the posts. Some speculate, or rather joke, that he could be talking about his girlfriend Saweetie. Others think it could be some kind of promotion for his new mixtape that drops next week Check out the posts that have fans theorizing below.

YG’s Instagram Story Rant

Some fans suspect that one particular lyric from “Weird” references Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef. Drake mentions YG in one of the bars of his diss track and it may not have gone over particularly well. “When it’s smoke, don’t ever mention my name (mention my name) You gon’ have me jeopardizin’ my fame, jeopardizin’ the gang, jeopardizin’ where you hang, n**ga,” he raps on the song.

What do you think of YG’s new Instagram rant calling out “scandalous” people and claiming he’s going to be “slappin sh*t?” Who do you think he might be talking about in the more specific second post? Let us know in the comment section below.

Did YG Diss Drake In Support Of Kendrick Lamar On His New Song ‘Weird?’

At this point, the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has died down significantly: The last time either rapper dropped a new diss track was early May, with Lamar’s No. 1 single “Not Like Us” and Drake’s poorly received “The Heart Part 6.”

But, folks aren’t done picking sides and fortifying their positions. Such appears to be the case with YG on his new song “Weird.”

Did YG Diss Drake In Support Of Kendrick Lamar On His New Song “Weird?”

At one point on the new song, YG raps, “When it’s smoke, don’t ever mention my name (Mention my name) / You gon’ have me jeopardizin’ my fame / Jeopardizin’ the gang, jeopardizin’ where you hang, n****.” Some have perceived this as a response to a line in Drake’s Lamar diss track “Family Matters”: “You know who really bang a set? My n**** YG.”

Notably, Lamar’s “Not Like Us” contains a sample of YG’s 2011 song “I’m Good.” Since YG would have had to clear that sample for Lamar to use it, that would be seen as YG choosing his side in the beef.

Meanwhile, Apple Music recently unveiled its much-discussed list of the 100 best albums of all time, and Lamar made the top 10 with Good Kid, m.A.A.d City.

Bo Jackson Tries Weird Cure For Hiccups

Bo Jackson is a sport legend. The College Football Hall of Famer was the number one pick in the 1986 NFL draft. He enjoyed three fantastic seasons in the NFL before his career was cut short by injury. However, he also played eight seasons of Major League Baseball, joining the Kansas City royals in 1986. Yes, if you didn’t already know who he was, Jackson played two pro sports concurrently.

However, Jackson has reportedly been suffering from the hiccups for a full year now. Anyone whose had the hiccups for more than an hour knows just how bad they can get. Furthermore, prolonged hiccuping can cause damage to your body. But some of the things Bo has tried to cure his hiccups are just downright weird.

Bo Jackson (May Have) Sniffed A Porcupine’s Butt

“I’ve had the hiccups since last July,” Jackson said on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning. “I’m getting a medical procedure done the end of this week, I think, to try to remedy it. I’m busy at the hospital sitting up with the doctor’s poking me, shining lights down my throat, probing me every way they can to find out why I’ve got these hiccups.” According to Jackson, he’s tried all the traditional cures of hiccups. But nothing has worked.

However, while listing the cures he had tried, he very casually some absolute insanity. “I have done everything—scare me, drink water upside down, smell the ass of a porcupine, it doesn’t work.” That’s right, while talking about getting scared etc., Bo Jackson also said that he had sniffed the ass of a porcupine. Now, Jackson was probably speaking hyperbolically to indicate the great lengths he had gone to. Furthermore, HotNewHipHop could not find any evidence of smelling a porcupine’s butt as a cure for the hiccups. However, several websites do recommend smelling strong odors as a way to cure the hiccups. So who knows, maybe Jackson wasn’t speaking so figuratively as one may initially believe. What’s your go-to cure for the hiccups? Let us know in the comments below.

Nelly Gives Weird Performance At Juicy Fest

While artists love to give it their all on stage, sometimes it might be too much for fans. Nelly recently turned heads at Juicy Fest in Melbourne, Australia for his odd performance. Moreover, he performed with other notable artists from the 2000s such as Ja Rule, Xzibit, Mya, and many more. Following last year’s clips of him performing to younger girls, this isn’t the only rodeo we’ve had with his shows.

In recently surfaced clips, you can see the St. Louis artists performing his song, “Over and Over” featuring Tim McGraw. During his show, he was smiling and shouting his lyrics quite expressively. Still, it all seems in line with typical stage antics and excitement. After all, when you’ve worked as long as Nelly, you’ve got to find different ways to perform the same song over and over again. However, people really expressed their worries when his eyes rolled into the back of his head at a few points.

As such, many online were quick to clown the show and Nelly’s erratic stage presence. “When that edible starts TO FIGHT BACK,” one user wrote under a clip of his singing. “Like look at this n***a lmao,” another wrote. “He is WASHED, DREDGED, BATTERED AND DEEP FRIED lmaoo.”

Moreover, the last we heard of Nelly was from longtime friend Ashanti, who said she’d work with her ex again last year. She actually teased it multiple times, but most recently discussed so with Selena Hill.

“I don’t know if we’re gonna go to the studio or anything together,” she stated. “But what I will say is, again, we’re both very business savvy. If an opportunity presents itself to make a record and get to the bag, we’re probably gonna be all in.”

Still, with this recent performance clip in mind, fans might be expecting something different if Nelly drops new music. As one of the 2000s’ brightest and most impactful stars, a comeback wouldn’t be surprising. However, let’s see if this is part of his performance gimmick or if he addresses the viral clip.

What do you think of Nelly’s bizarre performance at Juicy Fest this year? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for more weird, curious, or straight up bizarre hip-hop happenings.
