Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Under Scrutiny Amid New “Vultures 2” Sample Issues

On Saturday, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign surprised fans with the release of their new album, Vultures 2. The project arrived after various delays, and so far, has elicited mixed reactions from fans. While many are enjoying the 16-track LP, others think it left a lot to be desired. Last night, a message on the Yeezy website confirmed that “updated songs will be published in real time.” It’s to be seen whether or not this will satisfy critics.

The music itself isn’t the only thing about Vultures 2 sparking controversy, however. Geoff Barrow of Portishead took to X last night to accuse Ye and Ty of sampling his band’s 2008 song “Machine Gun” without permission. “For f*ck’s sake,” the musician wrote alongside a clip of the song. “Not again 🤷🏼‍♂️.”

Geoff Barrow Of Portishead Calls Out Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign

News of Barrow’s complaints arrives shortly after LA-born artist Swsh called the duo out for allegedly failing to clear a sample with them. “When people keep thanking you for clearing the sample for Kanye but you literally found out this morning lol,” they wrote yesterday, clarifying that they had no idea their work would be used. Luckily, Swsh didn’t appear too upset over the situation, though fans urged them to at least consider seeking financial compensation.

Similarly, Barrow’s fans are encouraging him to take action, with some even suggesting he file a lawsuit against Ye. “Dude, you need to sue the f*cker,” one X user insists. “Jeezus, that’s not even sampling, they just used the entire song for a backing track for some sh*t karaoke. Zero creativity,” another writes. What do you think of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign getting called out once again for another allegedly uncleared Vultures 2 sample? How are you liking their new album so far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kanye West (Ye) and Ty Dolla Sign surprised fans with their spontaneous release of their latest album, Vultures 2. But the body of work’s arrival isn’t the only thing to shock the public.

Yesterday (August 3), Portishead’s Geoff Barrow was annoyed to learned that the duo sampled the group’s song “Machine Gun” without permission. Over on X (formerly Twitter), Barrow called out the duo for featuring its revered instrumental break on the Vultures 2 track, “Field Trip,” which features Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, and Kodak Black.

“For f*ck’s sake,” he wrote. “Not again 🤷🏼‍♂️.”

Users online chimed in to encourage Barrow to take legal action.

“Dude, you need to sue the f*cker,” wrote one user.

“Jeezus, that’s not even sampling, they just used the entire song for a backing track for some sh*t karaoke. Zero creativity,” penned another.

“Now that’s just a blatant ripoff, and you deserve to be compensated,” added another.

“Make them delete the whole album 💯💯💯,” demanded another.

However, not everyone shared the same sentiments. Fans of Ye, begged Barrow not to take things to court.

“Don’t sue Ye, this song is amazing, let us have it man😭🙏🏻,” wrote one user.

“You should’ve said something after the first listening party it was previewed at bro 😭😭 we finally got the music and now you wanna take it away,” added another.

“Better to ask for forgiveness,” chimed another.

Ye has reportedly already been hit with several copyright infringement lawsuits from past projects, Donda. Even Vultures 1 was surrounded with sample clearance issues (from Donna Summer’s estate to Ozzy Osbourne). But based on Barrow’s response, this is Ye’s second time ripping off his past work. Could this be his legal breaking point?

Kanye West Put On Blast Over Allegedly Uncleared “Vultures 2” Sample

Yesterday, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign took fans by surprise by unveiling their eagerly anticipated album, Vultures 2. Previously, it was announced that it would drop on August 2, though fans were skeptical as the announcement was deleted within hours. Just a day later, the duo delivered, though the project has earned mixed reactions so far.

While many are just glad to have gotten something from Ye and Ty, others are demanding changes to the mix. A message on the Yeezy website confirmed last night that “UPDATED SONGS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN REAL TIME,” so it’s to be seen whether or not that will satisfy listeners. This is far from the only Vultures 2 controversy to arise after its release, however.

Swsh Calls Out Ye & Ty Dolla Sign For “530” Sample

Recently, LA-born artist Swsh took to social media to react to praise after being sampled on “530.” According to them, however, they allegedly never cleared the sample. “When people keep thanking you for clearing the sample for Kanye but you literally found out this morning lol,” they wrote alongside a clip of themself shrugging. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like Swsh is too upset. “Much love tho,” their caption reads. Fans are urging them not to pull the track, but think they should request financial compensation at the very least.

Allegedly, Ye has some history with uncleared samples, as he was also put on blast by Donna Summer’s estate following the release of Vultures 1. The estate accused him of sampling her song on “Good (Don’t Die)” without permission and sued him for copyright infringement. Reportedly, the two parties reached a settlement in June. What do you think of Swsh calling out Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign for allegedly not clearing their “530” sample? How are you liking Vultures 2 so far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kanye West Confirms “Vultures 2” Songs Will Be Updated In Real Time

Kanye West has confirmed that he will be making updates to Vultures 2 that will be added to streaming platforms in real time. The announcement comes from a statement on the Yeezy website that fans on social media began noticing on Saturday night. “VULTURES 2 AVAILABLE ON ALL DSPS,” the statement reads. “UPDATED SONGS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN REAL TIME.”

The news comes as fans have been complaining about the mixing on Vultures 2 since its release earlier in the day. “So we need to keep listening to know if they are fixed?” one user on X (formerly Twitter) joked. Another remarked: “The only thing I’d like to see is that the vocals to be lifted across most of the tracks. The production sounds muddy.” One more wrote: “They said this for vultures 1 and I didn’t notice any big changes – vultures 2 quite literally has to have entire songs reproduced and remixed there’s no saving that album.”

Ty Dolla Sign announced that he and West will be hosting a listening event in Utah, next Friday, but the comments section was flooded with fans demanding updates to the new album. “Fix the album it’s terrible,” the top response reads. “Revert time moving slow and river to the og and if it’s not too much to ask fix the mixing and this album can go from poor to great. Give it the tlop treatment,” another wrote, referencing West similarly updating his 2016 album, The Life of Pablo.

Kanye West Confirms Updates Are Coming

As it stands, there are plenty of guest appearances across the tracklist for Vultures 2. They include West’s two daughters, North and Chicago, as well as many other high-profile artists. Playboi Carti, Kodak Black, Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and many more all make appearances. Ty Dolla $ign & Kanye West Announce “VULTURES 2” Listening Party In Utah

With the excitement mostly at its peak for VULTURES 2 at the time of writing, Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West are announcing yet another listening party. The former of the tandem shared the news via his Instagram just about an hour ago and it marks the third one for the album. Ty revealed the first one back on July 6 for Korea, which is now 20 days away. Then, the multi-hyphenate made his followers know about their future visit to Taiwan on July 25. That will go down two days later on August 25. That leads us to today, as Ty and Ye will be hitting the road, and heading to Salt Lake City to give the fans a special one-night performance of VULTURES 2.

This will actually be the first of the three listening experiences, as it will be going down on August 9. However, Dolla $ign’s followers aren’t really reacting to this news. Instead, they are harping on one aspect of the album that a majority of the community is having an issue with. The mixing, for lack of a better word, is pretty bad. Some aren’t too surprised with the final product, but others are confused, especially given how many times VULTURES 2 has been pushed back.

This argument is highlighted by the fact that there are quite a few songs that have floating around the internet for a couple of years now. People are wondering how and why Ye and Ty decided to give everyone essentially demos and they are letting them hear about it in this comment section as well. “FIX THE MIXING IN THE ALBUM THE QUALITY ISNT THE BEST”, one IG user demands. Another adds, “Album is s***, the lyrics are terrible, and mixing is so bad that some songs play on one ear when using headphones, the wait was not worth it”. “Dude why is Husband on here twice”, someone else jokes. Despite all this, we are sure Utah will have a massive turnout.

What are your thoughts on Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West announcing a new listening party for VULTURES 2 in Utah? Do you agree with a majority of the fans that the mixing isn’t good? Kanye West Blasts Adidas On “Vultures 2”

Today, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign surprised fans by dropping their new album, Vultures 2. Supporters had been waiting on the project for months and were less hopeful than ever after the August 2 release date came and went. Luckily, they didn’t have to wait too much longer, and can now enjoy the project in full.

So far, the second installment of Vultures has received mixed reactions. While many are impressed, others are urging Ye to hurry up on his previously announced retirement. With that being said, listeners are still hard at work dissecting each and every track, including “My Soul.”

Kanye West Says “F*ck Adidas” On New Track “My Soul”

The song is the last on the album and features a jab at Adidas, which cut ties with Ye back in 2022 amid his infamous antisemitism scandal. “We mass targeted, mass marketed, mass incarceration
Mass in police stations, mass incorporated, f*ck Adidas,” he spits. While the remark certainly hit hard, listeners aren’t necessarily shocked, as this is far from the first time he put the company on blast.

Earlier this year, for example, he went after Adidas, Drake, and more in a fiery Instagram rant. “F*ck Adidas and everybody who works there or with them. Anyone who goes to school with anyone who’s parents work at Adidas. Just know they tried to destroy me and here we are with the number 1 song in the world,” he said at the time. Obviously, there’s still some bad blood there, and it doesn’t look like Ye will be forgetting about it anytime soon. What do you think of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new album Vultures 2? What about Ye slamming Adidas on his track “My Soul”? What’s your favorite song on the project so far? Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign Recruit Don Toliver, Playboi Carti, & Kodak Black For Unhinged “FIELD TRIP”

When you take a look back at the tracklist for VULTURES 1, the undoubted banger from it is “CARNIVAL”. For better or worse, it has an instantly recognizable instrumental and chorus. Additionally, the numbers the song continues to put up further proves that it stands above the rest. Pretty soon fans of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign will come to the same conclusion about “FIELD TRIP”. Also like “CARNIVAL”, the track boasts a big-ticket cast of features. In this case it is Don Toliver and Kodak Black, a duo we never knew we needed, and Playboi Carti. He’s been heavily involved in both of these albums, as this is his third appearance.

He already helped Ye, Ty, and Rich The Kid reach number one status with “CARNIVAL” and he could replicate those results with “FIELD TRIP”. Also like its predecessor, this VULTURES 2 cut has a sticky chorus thanks to Don’s insanely high-pitched delivery and irresistible melody. Furthermore, the beat equally stands out just as much as “CARNIVAL”, perhaps even more so. It’s much more progressive, especially when Kodak’s verse pops in toward the end. As far as the lead stars performances go, they play more of a background role, as they split the second verse. However, Ty’s aggressive tone mixed with Ye’s hilarious puns about being extremely lavish are nice additions.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s “VULTURES 2”: More Mainstream Names Lead To Left-Field Sounds

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 2 is another big-time event. Just like the first installment, they have pieced together another long list of some of the biggest names in hip-hop. But where these LPs differ is the overall soundscape. It’s a nice change of pace that has a lot of curveballs. In fact, you can make an argument that there is a more diverse collection here compared to VULTURES 1. That is something that definitely highlights the more experimentative side to the production.

For example, “SKY CITY”, featuring 070 Shake, CyHi, and Desiigner sees Ye and Ty take on a more acoustic approach. Production can be attributed to Kanye, Timbaland, and BoogzDaBeast. “RIVER” is another prime sample of more risk-taking and one that draws some inspiration from JESUS IS KING and DONDA. Charlie Wilson, Young Thug, Leon Bridges, and The Inter Milan Ultras make a perfect melting pot of overall performances. Pi’erre Bourne, Ye, and London on da Track, are just a few of the hands that were involved in putting this soulful cut together.

Kanye And Ty Dolla $ign Assembled An Army Of Talent For “VULTURES 2”

However, you also get you share of pure bangers and more rap-centric songs. Features like Don Toliver, Playboi Carti, Kodak Black, Future, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby all bring out Ye and Ty’s more aggressive side. Trap rap beat makers Wheezy, ATL Jacob, FNZ, and Dez Wright, are just few bring their special sauce to the table in that regard. Whenever we get VULTURES 3, we can only imagine that ¥$ will continue to dump tons of money into bringing on the best of the best.

What are your thoughts on the features and producers that are on Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 2? Comparing the two installments in the series, which one is better based on the talent? How do you feel about the constant stream of complaints surrounding the mixing and final assembly? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Kanye West’s Daughter North Raps In Japanese On “Vultures 2”

Today, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign finally unleashed their eagerly anticipated new album, Vultures 2. The release caught fans off guard, as it arrived after various delays. Initially, it was supposed to drop earlier this year, but it was later pushed back indefinitely. Earlier this week, it was announced that it would drop on August 2, but the announcement was deleted within hours. At that point, supporters weren’t sure what to expect, but they were pleasantly surprised early this morning.

So far, the project has received mixed reviews from listeners. While many are impressed, others are demanding that Ye retire. As reactions continue to roll in, one track from the album that’s stood out is “Bomb.” It features two of Ye’s children, North and Chicago West.

North West Appears On New Vultures 2 Track, “Bomb”

On the song, North raps in Japanese, leaving fans impressed. This isn’t the first time the 11-year-old has jumped on one of her father’s tracks, however. Back in February, Ye and Ty unveiled the first installment of Vultures, which also featured North. Her verse on the single “Talking” quickly went viral, and she later made her directorial debut with the track’s accompanying music video. Ye even shared a video of the middle schooler planning the music video at the beginning of this year. Clearly, she was blessed with her father’s creative gene, and fans can’t wait to see what else she decides to do with it.

As for other Vultures 2 features, Don Toliver, Kodak Black, and Playboi Carti’s appearance on “Field Trip” has gotten a great deal of attention online, along with Lil Wayne’s verse on “Lifestyle.” What do you think of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new album, Vultures 2? What about North West rapping in Japanese on “Bomb”? Are you impressed? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
