Denzel Curry And JPEGMAFIA Secretly Worked On Kanye West’s “VULTURES 2”

Denzel Curry and JPEGMAFIA are an unbeatable duo. They crush it every time they get on a song together, as evidenced by their new single “JPEGULTRA!” Curry and Peggy are very different artists, but they are similarly passionate about music and pushing their respective sounds. Apparently, Kanye West took notice of this, and recruited both rappers to work on his latest album. Unbeknownst to fans, since neither Denzel Curry or JPEGMAFIA are credited, but they both clocked studio time on VULTURES 2. How do we know? Well, Curry hopped on Twitter on August 13 and told us.

For all the fanfare and confusion surrounding VULTURES 2, Denzel Curry’s revelation was pretty simple. “Me and JPEG both worked on VULTURES 2,” he wrote, without elaboration. The notion of both of these artists linking up with Kanye West is notable, since neither of them have officially collaborated with the Chicago rapper. If anything, Denzel Curry and Peggy have made headline for being critical of West and his recent output. Curry, for example, roasted West’s album DONDA on social media. Curry also mocked Drake’s Certified Lover Boy. “DONDA and CLB could’ve been better,” he wrote. “Y’all n**gas rich and got the greatest musicians at your disposal.” Curry also roasted the artwork for both releases.

JPEGMAFIA has been even more vocal in his criticisms of Kanye West. He called out the rapper for working with who he deemed were subpar talents instead of someone like himself. “U got 27 n**gas tweaking hi hats just to make some mid,” he tweeted in January. “Talk to a real scientist brother stop wasting time.” Apparently, Peggy’s wish came true. Him and Denzel Curry got a chance to work on the VULTURES 2 sessions. As we previously stated, though, neither of their contributions made the final cut. Furthermore, Curry and Peggy didn’t even show up on the bonus tracks or the revised album tracklist.

It would be an understatement to write that VULTURES 2 has had a troubled rollout. It’s one of the most infamous albums of all time in terms of release, and it’s been out for less than a month. One can hope the Denzel Curry and JPEGMAFIA contributions will surface at some point in the future. Hell, maybe they will both be on the tracklist for VULTURES 3. Based on Curry’s lack of elaboration, though, it doesn’t seem like there’s too much more to the story. More songs for the Ye vault.

Ty Dolla Sign Mistakenly Thought “Vultures 2” Topped The Charts Leading To Jokes From Fans

Ty Dolla Sign mistakenly remarked that his collaborative album with Kanye West, Vultures 2, went No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart during a recent concert. “Number one motherf*cking album, man,” he told the crowd before performing the track, “Promotion.” Despite the comments, Vultures 2 actually landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. It was that project’s 14th week atop the album chart.

Expectedly, fans on social media trolled Ty in response to the slip-up. “Old head saw himself #1 on Apple Music and thought it was billboard,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another joked: “I mean we can all pretend Taylor Swift never existed and I’m good with that.” One more user wrote: “TY so funny man he be having no idea at all.”

After selling 107,000 equivalent units in its first week, Vultures 2 failed to overtake The Tortured Poets Department, resulting in the end of Kanye West‘s streak of 11 consecutive number-one albums. That record previously held on by a technicality when Ye’s collaborative album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts, failed to top the chart but was released under their separate name as a duo. West and Ty brought along several top artists to help them with Vultures 2, including Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, Kodak Black, Future, Lil Wayne, and many more. The charts aren’t the only place the project has struggled, however. Reviewers have also been highly critical of the project, as it wasn’t released in a finished state.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures 2” Smacked With Brutal Reviews

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s newest album, Vultures 2, is being deemed one of the worst hip-hop albums of the decade according to reviewers on Metacritic. The site lists the project at a score of just 40, which positions it last among hip-hop albums in the 2020s. The X (formerly Twitter) page, Hip Hop All Day, took note of the score on Monday morning.

It also ranks among the worst of all time, beating out only Tekashi 6ix9ine’s DUMMY BOY and Iggy Azalea’s In My Defense. Fans have been debating the harsh criticism of Vultures 2 on social media in response to the update. “Idk if the score needed to be that low, but also what do you expect when you drop an album that clearly isn’t completed,” one user admitted. Another fan argued: “That low is insane wtf. Album was unfinished, however a couple tracks in there still better than most of the new sh*t I hear coming out. Kanye deserved better.”

West and Ty Dolla Sign dropped the project on August 3. It features appearances from Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, Kodak Black, Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Young Thug, and many more artists, but sounded unfinished on day one. Despite the hype, Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department outperformed it on the US Billboard 200, instead earning its 14th week at No. 1.

“Vultures 2” Disapoints Critics

In addition to making headlines for the poor reviews, West also has been trending on social media for his antics while hosting a DJ set over the weekend. At the event, Kanye reportedly played songs by both Diddy and R. Kelly back to back. Taylor Swift Gets Sweet Revenge On Kanye West

Taylor Swift and Kanye West have been at odds with one another for many years at this point. Overall, it is easy to see how this has become the case. After all, Ye did go up on stage during the VMAs and steal her moment. Furthermore, his bars on the song “Famous” left a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths. To this day, the two are on bad terms. This past week, both artists were competing for the number-one spot on the Billboard charts.

After dropping Vultures, Kanye was trying to keep his number-one album streak alive. However, Taylor has proven to be formidable with her album The Tortured Poets Society. Going into the weekend, it had spent 13 weeks on top of the album charts. Now, you can officially make it 14. She sold 142K units while Ye sold just over 100K. Needless to say, it appears as though Swift has gotten her revenge on Ye, whose latest effort was not enough to get fans truly excited.

Taylor Swift Stops ‘Vultures 2’ From Going No. 1, Ends Ye’s Long-Running Debut Streak

Kanye West dropped off Vultures 2 alongside Ty Dolla $ign, an album long-awaited by fans after the original hit at the top of the year. That would put Ye back at No. 1, right? Nope. Taylor Swift and the Swifties returned The Turtured Poets Department to the top of the Billboard 200.

With Vultures 2 debuting at No. 2, Ye’s streak of 11 consecutive No. 1 albums has ended.

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s album Vultures 2 debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 107,000 equivalent album units earned. Released on August 3, the album is the highly anticipated sequel to the chart-topping Vultures 1, which launched at No. 1 on February 24 with 148,000 units. In its first week, Vultures 2 sold 60,500 albums, earned 46,000 SEA units (equivalent to 50.44 million on-demand streams), and 500 TEA units. Additionally, Vultures 2 debuts at No. 6 on the Top Streaming Albums chart and No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart.

The album’s opening solid sales were bolstered by its availability in multiple formats, including a standard explicit edition and a clean edition released later on August 8. Ye’s official website also offered five additional explicit digital album variants on August 7 and 8, each featuring the standard album’s 16 tracks and one exclusive bonus track, priced at $5 each. Additionally, both the clean and explicit versions of Vultures 2 were discounted to $4.99 in the iTunes Store during the tracking week.

Vultures 2 was initially scheduled for release on March 8.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures 2” First Week Sales Are In

Last weekend, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign finally unleashed their eagerly anticipated collaborative album, Vultures 2. The album was released by surprise and arrived following plenty of delays. It’s since earned mixed reactions from listeners. While many are impressed, others feel as though it left a lot to be desired, and wasn’t necessarily worth the wait.

On Wednesday, Chart Data reported that the album was on track to move 68K units in its first week. While that’s certainly no small feat, the number is fairly low for Ye. In fact, it would mark only the second time he’s released an album that didn’t top the Billboard 200. It was expected to debut at No. 2 instead, just behind Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department.

Now, the first week sales are officially in, and they’ve exceeded expectations. According to HipHop-N-More, Vultures 2 has moved 107k album-equivalent units in its first week, with 60k coming from pure sales. Of course, this number is still pretty low compared to the first-week sales figures of albums like Jesus Is King or Donda. It looks like Ye might have bigger things to worry about these days, however.

Last week, his former Chief of Staff Milo Yiannopoulos accused Ye’s dentist of fueling his alleged nitrous addiction, leaving fans incredibly concerned. #SaveYe even began trending on X, though he’s yet to address the shocking claims. Bianca Censori & Sisters Support Kanye West At “Vultures 2” Listening Party In Utah

Last weekend, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign unveiled their new album, Vultures 2. To celebrate, the duo hosted a listening party for the project in Salt Lake City yesterday. As expected, they were surrounded by countless fans and loved ones. Of course, Ye’s wife Bianca Censori was in attendance, stunning in one of her signature nude bodysuits. She even brought a few family members along, who were spotted sitting next to the Australian model.

In photos from the evening, Censori and her sisters Angelina and Alyssia can be seen enjoying the event. They were also joined by a woman speculated to be their mother Alexandra. Angelina later shared several clips of the show, including one of Ye performing “Runaway.” While it makes sense that Censori and her loved ones came through to support her husband, this may come as a surprise to some, as some reports have suggested that they might have serious concerns about their relationship.

Back in March of this year, a source even told the Daily Mail that Censori’s father wanted to meet up with Ye to discuss her scandalous fashion statements. Ye even walked out to his lost track with Travis Scott “Can U Be,” which was officially released earlier this week. As expected, fans went wild, as seen in the clip above.

Kanye West’s “VULTURES 2” To Debut At Number Two On Billboard Charts

We’re hoping VULTURES 2 is the wildest album rollout of 2024. We can’t imagine an album being more scattered and confusing than this, much less conceive of an artist who could get away with it. The album has been a talking point for all the wrong reasons, between streaming removals, sample clearances, and the rumor that Kanye West used AI to complete his verses. All that said, VULTURES 2 has sold decently well. Chart Data has dropped the first week numbers for the anticipated sequel, and it’s set to do better than expected.

The outlet reports that Kanye West and Ty Dolla’s Sign’s joint album will sell 83K units in its first week. That’s good enough for a number two spot on the Billboard 200. In a separate tweet, Chart Data noted that the number two debut will end Kanye West’s streak of having albums top the charts. To make things even worse, Taylor Swift will be the artist who ends it. Swift will continue to hold down the top spot with her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Departments. As we previously noted, Swift put out four new versions of the album on August 8. Innocuous enough on the surface, but fans were quick to point out the fact that West dropped four versions of VULTURES 2 the same day.

Fans will never know for sure whether Swift was trolling Kanye West with her rollout. That being said, the VULTURES sequel would have struggled regardless. Ye’s album sales have been steadily declining in the last few years. Jesus Is King and DONDA sold 264K and 309K first week, respectively. VULTURES was a significant downturn with only 148K units sold. VULTURES 2 is the first time Kanye West’s career that he has failed to sell at least 100K in the first week. That said, album sales appear to be the least of the star’s worries these days.

Kanye West took to social media on August 8 to blast Atlantic Records over their business tactics. He said that the label was threatening to take both VULTURES albums down from all streaming platforms. “40% of all revenue from V1 and V2 needs to be paid to Atlantic,” the rapper claimed. “If we don’t handle immediately Atlantic will issue take downs for both albums.” West then likened himself to an indie artist, and continued to release new music throughout the day. “This is what ‘they’ do to independent artists,” he added on his IG Story. We will have to wait and see where the VULTURES 2 story goes next.

Last weekend, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign unveiled their eagerly anticipated project, Vultures 2. Unfortunately for the duo, however, it looks like Travis Kelce’s father Ed is not a fan. On their track with Lil Wayne, “Lifestyle,” Weezy drops some bars about the athlete and his girlfriend Taylor Swift. “Ice up in my veins, old flames tryna melt me / I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” he spits.

Of course, the lyrics themselves aren’t too wild, but Ed appears to have taken offense. He shared a Daily Mail article about the namedrop earlier this week, throwing quite a bit of shade in his caption. “Mental illness on full display,” he wrote. This could likely be explained by the pop icon’s long and rocky history with Ye.

Following the release of Vultures 2, some fans speculated that Swift tried to troll Ye by dropping several new versions of her own latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. These arrived on the same day he released various new versions of the collaborative album, each of which included exclusive tracks featuring Kid Cudi, Kodak Black, and more. Fans Think Taylor Swift Trolled Kanye West By Dropping New Album Versions

It’s a confusing time to be a Kanye West fan. The last week has been filled with highs and lows the likes of which few fanbases have experienced. West dropped VULTURES 2 after months of delay. Then, the rapper made tweaks. Lots and lots of tweaks. So many tweaks, in fact that VULTURES 2 barely looks or sounds like the project that originally dropped. Kanye West resorted to dropping four different versions of the album on his personal website, Yeezy.com. Then, within hours of doing so, Taylor Swift decided to release four versions of her latest album. Coincidence? The fans don’t think so.

To be fair, few things are coincidental when it comes to Taylor Swift. She has a reputation for being one of the most calculated (and oftentimes, vindictive) artists in the world. Swift and West have had beef for over a decade, and the narrative has really turned in Swift’s favor since the rapper interrupted her at the VMAs. She’s become the biggest artist on the planet in the 2020s. West, meanwhile, has become a pop culture pariah. It’s very conceivable that Taylor Swift would drop four different versions of her album the same exact time West is doing so as a means of overshadowing him.

Taylor Swift Dropped Her Versions The Same Day As West

August 8, the day all this happened, was a particularly hectic one for West. The rapper uploaded new songs that were taken down from streaming platforms within hours. Then, he tweeted out that Atlantic Records are trying to stifle his creativity and threatening to take both VULTURES albums down as well. It’s a mess of a situation, and one that’s developing faster than people are even able to cover it. By the time I finish writing this, there will likely be new changes to VULTURES 2. Did we mention that West took down the different versions of the album on his website? It’s impossible to tell whether Taylor Swift’s drop was partially to blame, but wilder things have happened. Especially with these two artists.

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Taylor Swift, however. The album that now has multiple versions for sale, The Tortured Poets Department, was her worst received yet. Fans felt like the singer rehashed what made her notable in the first place. The singer also decided to cancel multiple tour dates in Europe after two ticket buyers were arrested. According to Newsweek, the ticket buyers in question were planning to launch a terrorist attack in Vienna, where Swift was slated to perform.
