Drake Shows Off His Singing And Rapping As A 9-Year-Old In Viral Home Video

Drake is the biggest star in all of rap and one of the biggest stars in all of music, but it’s worth remembering he came from pretty humble origins. He’s spawned multiple hits from discussing his come up on songs like “Over” and “Started From The Bottom.” But a recently unearthed video gave fans an even more up close and personal experience with the rapper before he was famous. But it isn’t just Drizzy in his TV actor days, the video goes back even further than that.

A Twitter account called Historic Vids shared a brief 15 second snippet of video that got people talking. In the video Drake shows off his rapping and singing abilities over the music playing in the background. The catch is that it’s the now legendary rapper as a 9-year-old in 1995. The clip racked up more than 33k likes and thousands of retweets in just a few hours as fans couldn’t believe the moment was preserved on film. In the comments they discuss how fascinating it is seeing his interest in music blossoming at such a young age knowing what he would go on to become. As many rap fans have heard, Drake has been attacked on all fronts recently. He’s been called out directly in song by Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, and Metro Boomin. But there’s even further suspicion that Future and The Weeknd may have also taken shots at the mega-star. Subsequently, he responded with a diss track attempting to take on all his challengers called “Push-Ups.” The song just debuted at number 19 on the Hot 100.

YG Thinks “Still Brazy” Doesn’t Reflect His Personality

This year marks the 10th anniversary of YG’s debut studio album My Krazy Life. He went all out celebrating the record for it’s anniversary a massive show on the main stage of Rolling Loud Los Angeles where he played some fan-favorite cuts from the record. He’s spoken extensively on his love for the album, be he doesn’t feel the same about his entire catalog. His 2016 album “Still Brazy” is by far his most acclaimed, but he has more complicated feelings about it than you’d expect.

During a recent podcast with ScHoolboy Q he reflected on the album. Q is certainly a fan of the album, saying “That sh*t is so hard.” But YG’s feelings are more complicated. “I was in a dark-ass place when I made that album. My album wasn’t even supposed to sound like that. I started recording that album right around the time I got shot. I was just going through all that sh*t. And then I fell out with the homies. N*gga, I was in a dark-ass place. I had my newborn daughter but it was just dark. I was making sh*t that I didn’t even wanna, I was trying to be on some other sh*t but it wasn’t there. YG’s Surprising Take On “Still Brazy”

Much of the recent news relating to YG has had to do with his relationship with Saweetie. The couple seemingly called it quits earlier this year but all signs have been pointing to things being back on. That started during his Rolling Loud performance where Saweetie joined for a sensual guest appearance. They went Twitter official all over again a few weeks ago when they dropped a picture together accompanied by a caption packed with heart emojis.

Snoop Dogg Learns French In New Teaser For he Paris Olympics

Seemingly everyone loves Snoop Dogg and that doesn’t include just the United States. The rap superstar is so beloved worldwide that he plays a role in a promo for the upcoming Olympics in Paris. He shared the video to Instagram alongside NBC, who will air the competition, a their streaming service Peacock. With the Olympics just a few months away Snoop has to brush up on his French but luckily he has the perfect teacher.

The video is titled “French Lessons With Cordoba” the name of Snoop’s granddaughter. In the adorable promo video she teaches her world famous grandparent a few simple French lessons. The video takes place on an adorable set littered with pink decorations and mini tea party tools. He learns the names of different foods, landmarks, and greetings before turning it around on Cordoba and testing her knowledge. “Paris @nbcolympics is only a few months away yall!! Much of the recent discussion surrounding Snoop Dogg spawned from Drake’s new Kendrick Lamar diss track “Taylor Made.” On the song he used AI generated vocals of both Snoop and even more controversially of Tupac. After fans digested the new disses that he threw out at Kendrick, they started to process the use of artificially assembled voices of real rappers. That sparked a debate over whether or not Drake too things too far using the emerging technology in the diss track.

People like Suge Knight and even Tupac’s own brother have called him out for the move and claimed that it was disrespectful, even threatening legal action against the rapper. DaBaby Claims A Well Known Rapper Tried To Start Fake Beef With Him

Most fans have no idea what’s actually going on behind-the-scenes in the music industry. Because of that, they can often speculate occasionally quite wildly on how the strings could be secretly being pulled. Other times fans suspect that supposed conflicts and storylines are set-up For years there’s been rumors among fans that the alleged infidelity that led to Beyonce’s Lemonade and Jay-Z’s 4:44 was faked, though there’s no evidence for it. During a recent podcast appearance though, DaBaby got fans wondering about fake rap beef all over again.

2024 has been a major year for rap beef already. Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj kicked things off earlier in the year while Kendrick Lamar and Drake have taken over as the biggest beef around right now. Though there hasn’t been many allegations of faking it being thrown around, it has resulted in a major spike in popularity for all involved, including Kendrick’s original diss track “Like That” spending three weeks at the top of the Hot 100. In the new clips, DaBaby claims that a “well known” and “lyrical” rapper recently gave him a call. He claims that the rapper in question had observed the spike in popularity from Kendrick and J. Cole’s beef and wanted to start a staged beef to capitalize. As one of the hosts mentions, they would be friends in private but beefing in public.

Travis Scott Performs At The New Mercedes-Benz Showcase

Earlier this week, Mercedes Benz held a special event for the unveiling of a new car. The newest in their G-class series continues an investment into the world of electric cars and made a variety of bold promises about its game-changing potential. In order to get as much attention as possible on the announcement, they had a special guest along to perform during the event. Travis Scott was in attendance to unpack some of his UTOPIA songs for those in the crowd.

In a series of videos making the rounds online, Scott injects plenty of life and energy into the show. He surprised everyone in attendance by stepping out of the car already parked on stage. Though he made use of the entire stage for the performance he did eventually return to the car and sit on it during a later song. Scott has kept busy ever since he returned from an extended hiatus following the Astroworld festival tragedy. Travis Scott recently released some new music for his fans but it probably didn’t get the reaction he was expecting. He shared a new remix of “FE!N” which appeared on UTOPIA and originally featured Playboi Carti. The new remix version instead features Chase B and fans weren’t vibing with the change. Many took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with the song following its release.

Scott appeared on another recent remix that landed with much better favor among fans. He joined Sexyy Red and Chris Brown on a remix of Nicki Minaj’s hit “FTCU” last week. She took on an acting role in the series and discussed some of her experiences and the upcoming finale while on the show. Through the game she revealed all kinds of unique eccentricities about herself. She admitted that before putting on any metal jewelry or clothes she uses a blow dryer on it to heat it up. This is apparently because she doesn’t like the feeling of cold metal touching her skin. Similarly, she revealed she hates the sounds that cardboard makes dragging against other objects. Specifically, she makes her assistants remove the cardboard slip covers from her coffees to avoid having to hear the sound. She copped to even more strange things throughout the segment. Over the weekend, Kim Kardashian was at the center of the biggest, and perhaps only diss track to hit the pop music world so far in 2024. Taylor Swift has been feuding with the reality star for years now dating back to a 2016 beef that Kardashian inherited from Kanye West. Kim has been near silent on the beef for years but Taylor has brought it up repeatedly. She once again did so on a track from the deluxe edition of her new album The Tortured Poets Department.

DaBaby Gives A Surprise Performance For Charlotte High School

DaBaby is no stranger to repping his city. From lyrics about specific exits, to vintage Hornets jerseys, he’s ride or die for the city of Charlotte. Though some of his legal troubles in the past have spawned from incidents in the city he still has a lot of love for the town. He showed that off recently when he stopped by a local high school for a surprise performance. It’s unclear if he has a direct connection to the school he performed at, but students were thrilled nonetheless.

Video of his surprise appearance made the rounds earlier this week. The short clip features an entire gymnasium of students erupting in applause as he enters holding a microphone while his music blasts over the speakers. He hilariously throws up one of his trademark poses for the camera while a group of kids hype him up on the bleaches behind him. The video’s caption reads “DaBaby surprises students at Charlotte high school,” and that seems to be exactly what happened. Rick Ross Blows Kisses & Comically Laughs At Drake In Music Video For “Champagne Moments”

Rick Ross’ sights have clearly been set on Drake to “eliminate” him and only him over the last several weeks. The Mississippi rapper and MMG label head has constantly been poking fun at Drizzy for getting tons of cosmetic work done, championing the hashtags of BBLDrizzy and NoseJobPapi. He has also been calling him out for having ghostwriters, as well as the controversial relationship with 20-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown. All of the chirping got him to respond on “Push Ups,” which was officially released on April 19. Rick Ross responded to the original leak with “Champagne Moments,” and now he has a music video for said diss response.

This visuals are extremely simple, as the multi-millionaire rapper sits a stool and raps his disses. “Kill you n****s for free, do it all for the thrill / N****s leakin’ they records when we speakin’ directly / If we keepin’ it gangster, when you see me, you check me.” These are far from the most degrading jabs at Drake, but the coldness of these bars are the vibe that Rozay was going for in the video.

He succeeds well in that regard, with lots of direct and stone-cold stares into the camera. NLE Choppa Shows Off The Bras He’s Collected On Tour

Coi Leray Shows Off Her Dance Moves During Coachella Set

Week two of Coachella wrapped up over the weekend and there were tons of highlights. After bringing out Kali Uchis, A$AP Rocky, and Childish Gambino during his first weekend set, Tyler, The Creator was joined by Earl Sweatshirt during his second weekend headlining set. Doja Cat also headlined the festival and had Teezo Touchdown, A$AP Rocky, and 21 Savage along for the ride in her set. A variety of other rap stars performed over the weekend including Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi, Lil Yachty, and even Coi Leray.

Coi took to her Instagram to recap both of her performances at the festival. For weekend two she dropped a video showing off some of the dance moves she unpacked during her set. The clip has already racked up more than 75k likes and grabbed some love from fellow celebrities like Paris Hilton in the comments.
