Cardi B Teases Huge Update On New Album And Fans Think It’s Coming Soon

Cardi B’s next album is one of the most anticipated and long-awaited releases in mainstream hip-hop… And we’re well aware that this headline sounds familiar. Nevertheless, she recently gave fans a huge update as to the progress of this release, indicating that she already took her album cover pictures and can’t decide on which one to use. This is one of the most concrete actualizations we’ve received of this sophomore LP as of late, and one of the only ones that doesn’t relate to its release date. While fans are still foaming at the mouth for a final word on that, this should still fuel a lot of excitement for die-hard supporters.

Unfortunately, these days have been unpredictably tough for Cardi B, as she recently spoke on a “freak accident” that almost jeopardized her pregnancy. “I was doing so good, like, so good,” she told her social media followers concerning her pelvic injury. “Exercising, f***ing outfits put together, I had so much energy. Now I be in pain like a motherf***er. I can’t f***ing wear heels, I can’t f***ing stand up, I can’t do s**t. Everything was going great, now a h*e is injured. S**t got me so f***ing tight. And the thing about it is, I’m not even a clumsy b***h. I’m not a clumsy person, and I bust my a** bro.

Elsewhere, Cardi B also spoke on this being her “easiest pregnancy yet” despite sleepless nights and her baby kicking a whole lot. “If anybody knows where I could get a pregnancy waist trainer, a pregnancy faja, let me know,” she asked her Instagram Live viewers. “I need it right now ’cause this a** is not dropping. I swear to f***ing God, this a** is not dropping. It’s not really because of my stomach, of course, I just don’t want my a** to drop.”

Meanwhile, another update that Cardi B teased at concerning her new album involved possible album titles. It’s clear that she’s teasing a lot of stuff out little by little, and at least giving fans the illusion of being a part of that process. We’ll see how this all manifests, as the Bardi Gang hopes that it’ll arrive sooner rather than later.

Rich Amiri & Internet Money Collab For Addicting New Single “KEEP IT COOL”

Rich Amiri’s successful 2023 landed him a spot on this year’s XXL Freshman list. He put out two projects in Evolution and the immensely popular, Ghetto Fabulous. The latter contains some of his catchiest songs to date such as “OUTTA THERE”, “AINT NOTHING”, and of course, “ONE CALL”. For someone who is more known to be in the underground trap scene, pulling in over 336 million streams on one song is quite the feat. But this where the Boston, Massachusetts MC thrives. His uniquely deep voice and sticky flow patterns could boost him into the mainstream if he continues on this trajectory. It seems he’s staying on that path as “MADONNA & RIHANNA” is shaping up to be another fan favorite, with over 8.6 million streams already since its release in April.

With all of this momentum, Rich Amiri coming through on this “KEEP IT COOL” record is another W. On this single, he perfectly matches the tempo of the video game/gothic instrumental. It may sound like a weird mashup of ideas, but it the rage-like beat absolutely slaps. “KEEP IT COOL” does have Rich Amiri attached to it, but this is actually an Internet Money release. The California-based fleet of producers is supposedly working on a new album via the founder, Taz Taylor. That shuts the previous belief that this track was going to be for WAR READY, Amiri’s forthcoming project.

Chance The Rapper Goes On Rhyming Spree On Joey Purp Link-Up “Bad Boys 2”

A couple of days ago, Chicago rap superstar Chance the Rapper had some things he needed to get off his chest. Specifically, in relation to his forthcoming “album”, Star Line. We say “album” because he doesn’t find it respectful of his fans to keep asking him to “drop the album”. In fact, he finds it incredibly confusing and if they keeping asking for the project in this manner, he may shelve Star Line for good. “Stop calling it the album. And I don’t mean that in an ungrateful way. I’m grateful that people are putting in my comments, ‘Drop the album’. I’m not going to drop the album until y’all start calling it Star Line“.

He is asking for this favor because he sees this record as something more than just another LP. “But what I’m doing is something different. It’s something very specific. It’s called Star Line“. All of this and more was conveyed via an Instagram Live. However, just 48 hours later, Chance the Rapper is back with a supposed track from Star Line called “Bad Boys 2”. Him and Joey Purp collab here, and you can tell that the Acid Rap MC was having a fun time writing playful bars and multiple rhyme schemes for his verse. Big Sean Skates Over Soulful Beat From The Alchemist On “Together Forever”

Big Sean has been one of the biggest leak victims this year, especially since it has affected the release of his upcoming album. Better Me Than You was slated to hit DSPs last Friday, August 9. Now, we should be receiving the new body work hopefully by the end of the month. If not then, we could also be looking at an early September date as well. The Detroit MC has been handling all of this very well given the circumstances, which you have to commend him for. He revealed he’s in the process of planning some shows immediately after the album drops, so he’s really trying to give fans a lot during this album rollout. In the meantime, though, Big Sean is tiding fans over with “Together Forever”, which brings the single total to four.

It seems that Sean Don is leaning into themes of family, relationships, self-confidence, and living a fulfilling life for this record. Overall, it seems like this project could be one of his best yet, because “Together Forever” is another W in our books. Here, Big Sean is reuniting with the mad scientist himself, The Alchemist. The acclaimed producer has worked with him once before on the Larry June-led cut, “Palisades, CA”. The West Coast native gives the Michigan technician a jazzy, soulful, and head-nodding boom-bap beat, which he floats on. Below, you can check out the song and its accompanying visuals. On top of this heater, Sean seems to tease another track from the album with a darker approach and it may feature some rapping from Uncle Al, so fingers crossed.

Dr. Dre Shares Exciting Update Surrounding Upcoming Snoop Dogg Collab Album

Well, it’s now August 13 and we still do not have Missionary, the collab album between West Coast icons Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. There was a little hope that Tha Dogg Pound was actually on the money with their claims. Daz Dillinger and Kurupt told the Drink Champs panel this in early June and it had us excited that it was dropping really soon. “Dogg sacrificed ’cause he got an album dropping in July. This album with Dr. Dre dropping in July”, Kurupt stated. Daz doubled down, adding, “He got an album coming out next month with Dr. Dre”.

For whatever reason, their words never became reality, but we do have a new update from one of the LP’s creators this time. According to AllHipHop, Dre had a chat with Entertainment Tonight and during it, he really hyped it up. Despite putting out a timeless classic with Doggystyle about three decades ago, the famed producer and rapper feels this work maybe even of higher quality. “This one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music,” Dre claimed.

“I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career”. Perhaps helping aid the studio sessions was the fact that the 2001 creator felt that he’s been in higher spirits. “[It’s been] much more fun”. Trippie Redd Continues To Tease His Next Album With “LGLG”

Trippie Redd has not been in his prime according to a lot of listeners. Obviously, a great deal of his fans are going to defend their Canton, Ohio MC star, but we can see where the former camp is coming from. His last few projects, MANSION MUSIK, A Love Letter To You 5, and Saint Michael V2, seem to have come and went. Furthermore, his collaborative record with mgk, genre : sadboy, was another disappointment thanks to its blandness. On top of that, some of his recent singles, especially “LWRW”, just feel lazy.

However, Trippie seemed to redeem himself a little bit with “Bando Kid”, the follow-up to the aforementioned track. It’s also the second single for the upcoming sequel LP to his debut album LIFE’S A TRIP 2. It saw the “Miss The Rage” artist lean into that heavy metal sound and the effort level was clearly raised in our opinion. Now, Trippie Redd is looking to carry that momentum into “LGLG”. On this record, it feels he went back to the basics. For him, that means a catchy and repetitive chorus mixed with some dark lyricism and production. For some reason that method on “LWRW” came across as annoying, but not here. Trippie even tries his hand at interpolating Playboi Carti’s deep voice, as well as Travis Scott’s recent growling he’s been messing with. Overall, it’s a decent effort but let us know what you think below.

SAINt JHN Laps Around In “Circles” On New Single: Stream

SAINt JHN is a very vibrant and versatile artist, and it seems like this new era for him will further fuse R&B and alternative rock elements. Moreover, this new single “Circles” is a love-lorn, guitar-led jam that displays a lot of vocal passion, dramatic instrumentation, and desperate themes of seeking to fit into a relationship and getting out of repetitious cycles. From what the cover art for this new song and that of the Guyanese-New Yorker’s previous single “Humble” indicate, these cuts will be on the new project COLLECTION II: FAKE TEARS FROM A POPSTAR.

Back to “Circles,” though, SAINt JHN builds a pretty powerful and bombastic cut thanks to the cavernous and grand production techniques that he applies to each element of the song. With these more prolific releases, fans hope that this new era manifests into this full-length sooner rather than later. He’s still been busy in recent months, assisting on Mez’s The Loading EP and contributing a Swizz Beatz, BIA, and Fivio Foreign collab to the Godfather Of Harlem soundtrack, “Street Opera.”

With all this in mind, fans of the “You Laughed At Me” creative are foaming at the mouth, and if we can expect this level of quality from his next move, he’ll have a killer year. LL COOL J & Saweetie Unite For Seductive Single “Proclivities”

LL COOL J is looking to go 3/3 on the singles front for his upcoming album as he drops “Proclivities” with Saweetie. Prior to this, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee put out “Passion” and “Saturday Night Special” with Rick Ross and Fat Joe. The New York legend had taken a lot of time to get The FORCE right and lately, he’s been feeling that is a project worth hyping up. “We’re talking 14 tracks of straight fire, all crafted by myself and the one and only Q-Tip. When you listen to this album, you’re not just hearing music, you’re experiencing a whole new vibe, a whole new level of artistic passion”. So far, we have certainly been hearing the detailed approach from LL and Q. The previous tracks have been in our rotation consistently thanks to standout rapping and instrumentals that recapture the early days of hip-hop.

When fans heard that LL COOL J would be working with Saweetie on a song, they weren’t sure how it would sound. However, we are happy to report that the California femcee is able to put forth a pretty killer performance. She flexes her singing chops on the chorus which are highly sexual and steamy. She then effortlessly transitions right into her raunchy verse, keeping the sensual tension high. LL’s verses carry a majority of the runtime, and both of their performances are backed by another winning instrumental from Q-Tip. Its smoky, grand, and it’s just got an alluring quality to it. Lil Tecca Flexes His Array Of Women On “TASTE”

After dropping T E C at the start of fall in 2023, Lil Tecca is gearing up for another release less than a year later. The Queens, New York multi-hyphenate (rapper, singer, producer, songwriter) began the rollout for Plan A loosely just a month after ending his year two album hiatus. He didn’t leave much to the imagination, simply stating, “new album”, via X. However, fans wouldn’t get the first two promo tracks until May 3 with “Number 2 / Never Last”. Now, though, things appear to be ramping up as Lil Tecca has just put out “TASTE”.

-According to Genius, this track is the 21-year-old’s most prized possession. “[It’s} my favorite song i ever made in my life”, Tecca said in a post to TikTok. With such high respect coming from the artist himself, what makes “TASTE” tick? Well, Tecca, once again, has crafted a pretty easy-to-follow melody to pair with an addicting instrumental. The latter is very chill and summery and allowing for the “500lbs” hitmaker to find an equally smooth pocket. On this track, he explains to the viewer, as well as any potential lady willing to shoot their shot, that he’s not the easiest to hold down. He loves to explore his options and brags about the idea that he can dabble with multiple types of women.

PARYTNEXTDOOR Reveals Exciting New Details About Drake Collab Album

The upcoming collaborative full-length from PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake took many fans by surprise, but it’s also what plenty of them have been manifesting hopefully for years now. Never mind all the beef stories surrounding The Boy right now: this team-up is a long-anticipated OVO affair that marks yet another shift in his career, albeit a lateral one. Regardless, we now have some limited but nonetheless exciting new information about the project courtesy of Party himself. He recently spoke with Awaiz Punjani in a brief video published on Tuesday (August 6), and let fans know exactly how much new material they should expect.

“The one we doing right now, all 15 we doing right now,” PARTYNEXTDOOR responded to a question about what his favorite Drake collab is. As such, we know that there will apparently be 15 tracks on this joint album, which is very promising for various reasons. 15 is a hefty and satisfying number of cuts, but it’s also not overbearing enough to where fans would be concerned by questions of bloat, quality control, or lack of focus. Also, considering how much respect and love they have for each other, their chemistry would make any number of records electric either way.

“I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you,” Aubrey Graham said during his surprise appearance at PND’s Toronto show on Friday (August 2). While neither artist has confirmed the release date for this team-up, Drizzy’s words indicate that it will be a fall or winter release, so there’s still a solid chance it would come out for the early winter of 2025. At this concert, the 6ix God also performed “Wah Gwan Delilah” for the first time.

But elsewhere, news of Drake’s collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR comes amid rumors that his other iconic partnerships are dwindling. For example, many fans believe that Lil Wayne is sending subtle hints that he’s not rocking with his Young Money heir anymore. Of course, that’s purely speculative, so unless either artist does something truly pointed and direct, we have no reason to assume that “The Motto” will age as poorly as cuts like “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” have. At least we definitely have this PND collab to look forward to.
