Lil Baby Announces New Album “Wham” For Early 2025 Along With Key Young Thug Update

Lil Baby fans have been waiting for him to come back in full-length form for years now, and 2022’s It’s Only Me left a sour taste in many of their mouths. Fortunately for them, it seems like the Atlanta MC is poised to do just that, as he announced his new album Wham over the weekend. It’s set for release on January 3, so it’ll kick off 2025 with a bang. What’s more is that we also have the feature list for the “Touchdown” rapper’s upcoming LP. Reportedly, it will feature appearances from Future (twice), GloRilla, Rod Wave, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage.

It’s a pretty exciting list, but one more name makes things even more hyped. Lil Baby will also reportedly feature Young Thug on Wham, although it’s unclear in what capacity Thugger could show up. Maybe it’ll just be some vocals for an intro or his first full-on verse since his release from jail, but either way, fans can’t wait to find out. They, Travis Scott, and Future hit the studio together recently, so maybe that indicates a more substantial guest slot.

Lil Baby Announces Wham, Dropping 1/3

Elsewhere, though, Lil Baby also left fans scratching their heads this week thanks to his aforementioned new single “Touchdown” and one particular bar off of it. “Real gangster, I ain’t rocking no nail polish,” he rapped on the cut. Listeners theorized as to whether this was a direct diss, they debated whether or not men should use nail polish, and they questioned why another man would even care. All in all, it’s the same thinly-veiled homophobia that dominates discussions like these. Although, Baby probably didn’t mean it as seriously as others took it.

Meanwhile, Lil Baby fans don’t have to wait long for this new Wham album, which must feel amazing. They’re curious as to what could appear on this project lyrically. Some recent situations like supposed IG beef with Offset became big headlines. He certainly has a lot of time to make up for and a lot of topics that he could dive deep into. So we’ll see how this intro to rap in 2025 shapes up.

Bad Bunny Previews His Next Album With Dance Floor Ready “EL CLúb”

There really isn’t anyone bigger in his respective genre than Bad Bunny right now. The Puerto Rican native has been producing hit after hit for about eight years now. No matter when or what he drops, his tracks and projects always seem to do respectable to massive numbers. His latest single, “EL CLúb,” is already becoming another smash, with over 2.1 million views on YouTube. That’s good for the number six overall spot in trending for music. This is Benito’s second single of 2024, and it follows the release of “Una Velita” back in September. It was a pretty somber release focusing on life’s sometimes unrelenting wave of obstacles and how difficult it can be to overcome them.

Somewhat conversely, “EL CLúb,” is aptly titled for where it will see a lot of success (the nightclub). However, it’s still a pretty sad track if you know how to read Spanish or translate the lyrics to your native language. Bad Bunny is struggling with the loss of a former partner, and he’s at the club trying to cope with his nagging emotions. Based how the verses are being presented, it sounds like he’s having a heated conversation with this woman, and she rips into Benito for not being what she had hoped. It’s a banger though, as it blends reggaeton, edm, and house in an effective and trippy way. It’s also the lead single for a 2025 album, currently abbreviated as DTmF.

Quotable Lyrics (English Translation):

2019, blinked and now we’re here
2020, the last time I was happy
2022, the last time I saw you

I don’t know what happened
I prayed to God, but He ghosted me too

Skepta Is The “Alpha” And The “Omega” On Lex Luger-Produced Single

It’s almost been a full year since UK grime icon Skepta announced his next album, Knife and Fork. It will be his sixth studio effort, and first rap tape since his 2020 joint effort with Chip and Young Adz, Insomnia. In terms of solo bodies of work, we got our last serving in the genre from him in 2019 with Ignorance is Bliss. He’s been doing some incredible work in the house space with some spare loosies. But the time is near for Big Smoke, and we cannot wait. Unfortunately, a release date remains hidden from us. It’s got us feeling we will receive the LP sometime early next year.

But of course, we are hoping it arrives before 2024’s end, as there are still a few weeks remaining. He’s been keeping fans fed with four and potentially five promotional singles since the title reveal, though. “Jangrova” with Idris Elba, Tribal Mark, and ODUMODUBLVCK got things started. “Gas Me Up (Diligent),” “Tony Montana,” “Miss Independent,” and “Why Lie?” with Flo Milli then followed suit. All of that brings us to “Alpha Omega,” a big boss cut with some terrific production from one of the trap legends, Lex Luger. If you know your Greek alphabet, alpha is the first letter and omega is the last. He’s essentially letting everyone know that he was here from the start and will be at the end thanks to his work ethic and hunger to be number one.

You’re a liar, big capper, a pump faker
Seen you around, but you’re never involved, a spectator

Nah, how we’re livin’? I’m never quittin’ (Woo)
V ‘Bach whippin’, Rollie ain’t tickin’

Roddy Ricch & Terrace Martin Will Blow You Away With “Lonely Road”

Roddy Ricch has some fans questioning just what the heck is going on right now. Today, the California rapper was supposed to deliver his long-awaited third studio album, THE NAVY ALBUM. However, that is not the case, as instead he let fans know across his social media platforms that it will be ready by 2025. “THE NAVY ALBUM 🐺 2025.” There was additional explanation as to why this is now the case, but Apple Music says it will be out on February 21. The project is going to contain 16 tracks, and interestingly, “911” is not listed as one of the singles.

Instead, “Survivor’s Remorse” and “Lonely Road” with producer Terrace Martin are the only certified inclusions. The latter is essentially an apology for the album not arriving today, but it’s much more than a consolation prize. In fact, we feel this could be Roddy Ricch’s best song yet. This future closing track hears him continue on similar themes from “Survivor’s Remorse” about his growth and struggles. However, instead of feeling uneasy at times, he’s thankful for the obstacles he’s gone through. Turbo also has his imprints on this cut, but it’s not what you traditionally get from him. Roddy expressively and passionately spits over a drum-less beat with Martin absolutely killing with the saxophone. It blew us away and we feel it will do the same to you.

Streets got a n**** wondering, when will my day come?

Lil Baby Is Going To Reach The End Zone No Matter What On “Touchdown”

Lil Baby is naming his next album, WHAM, which stands for Who Hard As Me. With a title like that, fans should expect some extremely braggadocious and confident trap bangers. However, it could be more than just a collection of those. There could also be a nice mixture of themes that still tie into what Baby is shooting for. On his latest single, “Touchdown,” the Atlanta native is rapping with a hunger and tenacity that has frankly been missing from him his sound for a little bit. Of course, he’s got a different mindset now, as he’s one of the biggest MCs in the game despite the recent vibe around his music.

He’s not going to be dropping tracks like “Freestyle” very often, as that era was about him trying to prove himself. But in that same breath, he does sort of have pressure on him right now. Generally speaking, folks feel his quality has been slipping since the release of his Lil Durk collab tape, The Voice of the Heroes. So, with songs like “Touchdown,” which has a real go-getter’s mentality, it’s going to be critical for Baby to have tracks in this vein. It’s a simple record in terms of what of it’s trying to do, but he just sounds livelier on the dark Wheezy production. It could take some a while to come back around, but this a solid return to form for Lil Baby, all things considered.

Got the ball in my hand, I can’t fumble this s***

Mike Delivers Touching Tribute To His Late Mother With “You’re The Only One Watching (Showbiz)”

Losing a parent is one of the most painful and traumatic things any human can go through. For Bronx, New York underground darling, MIKE, he tragically lost his mother, Anuoluwapo Sandra Akinboboye. He’s brought her into his music countless times throughout his career. Overall, it sounds like their connection was beautiful and loving beyond belief. Back on his 2019 project, tears of joy, he included this tear-jerking voicemail from her. “I don’t even know what to say, you are such a golden child; my golden child. My blessed boy, you shall be blessed forever — ever. I shall not die.

MIKE consistently returns the love back to his angel above too. In his recent IG post announcing his new single, he penned a thankful tribute on her birthday, November 29. “To be able to celebrate & see my mother in this way is a blessing I will forever be grateful for. She’s truly my angel! So thank u, n happy birthday to my mama 🕊#” MIKE has a ton of spirited releases in this vein, but “You’re the Only One Watching (Showbiz)” might be near the top. Self-produced under his dj blackpower alias, he incorporates a show-stopping soul sample along with some more words from his Nigerian mother speaking in her native Yoruba language. Overall, it’s just plain heartfelt and it’s going to be a great track on his 2025 album, Showbiz (Man in the Mirror).

Redman Previews His Long-Teased Album With Money Anthem “Dont Wanna C Me Rich

One of hip hop’s most charismatic MCs and greatest pure spitters of all time has returned. New Jersey native Redman, aka Funk Doc, is here with “Dont Wanna C Me Rich.” It’s another official release from his long-awaited (understatement) sequel album, Muddy Waters Too. The original 1996 tape is one of his classic efforts, so him even deciding to follow-up on it is exciting news in and of itself. However, it remains in limbo, as Redman has been teasing it since 2015, according to Genius. Since then, he’s put out several potential singles, especially in the last three years.

“80 BARZ,” an exercise in stunning double entendres and wordplay is one. Additionally, 2022’s “Jane” and “So Cool” are also candidates, especially given all of their production styles and similar cover arts. For now, though, the one we can safely say will make the cut is “Dont Wanna C Me Rich,” thanks to this recent IG post from Redman. “NEW MUSIC ALERT… “Dont wanna C me Rich…” From the Muddy Waters 2 Album.” Genius also says this is expected to drop in 2024 and with the 28th anniversary of Muddy Waters coming up (December 10), maybe Redman will celebrate by dropping the sequel? That’s our hope because this track and the others we mentioned are stellar. Check out “Dont Wanna C Me Rich” below.

Swim high, motivate for Michael Phelps
Only what could f*** it up, n****, is (N****, is)

Xzibit Stomps On Dem Jointz’s Beat Like Godzilla On “Everywhere I Go”

Xzibit isn’t just coming back, he’s looking to take names and blow the competition out of the water. That’s the energy he’s exhibiting on his latest single, “Everywhere I Go.” It’s the third teaser to his upcoming album Kingmaker, which will be out sometime in early 2025. Excitingly, it’s going to be his debut record under Greenback Records, UFC world champion Conor McGregor’s brand-new imprint. X and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are his only two artists so far, but it’s quite a great way to get the label off the ground.

Prior to dropping “Everywhere I Go,” Xzibit got the rollout started with the grand and episodic “Play This At My Funeral,” which released on October 11. Then, two weeks later, the Detroit rapper would drop off the sequel to “Been a Long Time” with a new guest in Jenn Em. Both of the first two releases were incredibly strong, so how does this newest one fare? To put it simply, it’s another hit. Dem Jointz (Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Eminem) is on the boards, and he brings a rambunctious energy to the track. One element of the beat may sound familiar to fans of the Godzilla franchise, and it may have inspired some of X’s bars on the track, which you can find below. He sounds like the radioactive monster on the record as his presence is once again undeniable.

Hydraulics singin’ like the weekend

Drake Reveals Official Status Of His PartyNextDoor Collab Album

The livestream with fellow Canadian xQc and Drake continues to produce some intriguing headlines. Multiple clips from it have circling the internet. However, this one might be the most exciting one yet. Back in August, The Boy officially revealed that him and his OVO partner, PARTYNEXTDOOR, were going to drop an album. He revealed this during a shocking appearance at PND’s show and announcing the news in the most Drizzy way possible. “Once summer over with… do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly… a PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you.”

Given that slightly cryptic bombshell, many were speculation a potential fall release. However, we are now at the end of November and still nothing. It became clearer and clearer that the Canadian duo was not that close to being finished as we may have thought. Both artists have been hyping it up, labeling it a future classic and things like that. Additionally, they have been pretty vague in terms of the actual status of the project. But as we said, Drake’s most recent update during the xQc stream is tantalizing. It gives everyone a better idea of when it may arrive, especially with one month left to go.

Drake & PartyNextDoor’s LP Is “75% Done”

“Me and PARTY’s album is 75 percent done. Shout out to PX cooking right now. Album is sounding incredible. Shout to the Six, the whole city, anybody watching from Canada, we love you.” After that, xQc tried to get some more intel, asking his guest about any tracklist details. Drake answered the question, but also didn’t at the same time.

“I always have a problem making shorter albums…” The clip cuts off there, but it seems like the other 25 percent is going to be making final cuts to the tracklist. Given this and the initial reveal, there is definitely still time for Drake and PARTY to get this out. They may have it out by late December, which would fall in alignment with the For All The Dogs MC also making it known that he’s going on tour during Super Bowl week. In fact, the “Anita Max Wynn Australia Tour” will kick off the day of the big game and Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show performance.

Miguel Delivers One Of His Most Raw Records Yet With “Always Time”

Los Angeles, California singer, songwriter, and producer, Miguel, has become one of R&B’s more elusive faces. Throughout the 2010s, he was dropping records with fair consistency. However, since 2017’s War & Leisure, he’s been a recluse. He’s helped out with other artist’s singles. But solo wise, Miguel has remained pretty silent for the most part. A return could be near though, as he’s been teasing a new album over the last year, Viscera. It’s still very much in limbo, as a release date remains hidden. Potential releases that could make the cut include 2023’s “Give It To Me” and “Number 9” with Lil Yachty.

You could throw “Always Time” in there now as well, which Miguel just dropped this weekend. Over his illustrious and underrated career, the “Sure Thing” artist has proven to be unpredictable. On “Always Time,” he’s wailing over a haunting acoustic instrumental about letting go of a past lover. However, it’s clear that this relationship meant a lot to him. Miguel has spoken very candidly about this single, saying, “This may be the most difficult song I’ve ever had to write — for all of the life lessons and experiences that live between each line,” he began. However, it seems that this song needed to be written, and its ideas had to be spread to release that pent up pain for Miguel. “I’m grateful for the closure it has given me and know it’s the most honest way to begin this chapter of my artistry and relationship with my audience.” Overall, it’s a terrific display of vocal range, rawness, and vulnerability, and this next of his era should be special.
