Lil Wayne No Longer Believes The Lakers Should Trade Anthony Davis

Lil Wayne has his reversed one of his bolder basketball takes, arguing that Anthony Davis is now irreplaceable for the Lakers. “You can’t get nobody for him that’s gon’ replace what he can do. There’s nobody out there like that. If you could get Jokic, but you can’t do that,” Wayne said on UNDISPUTED this week.

As mentioned, the sentiment is a major departure from something that Wayne had previously advocated for. “If the Lakers want to be a championship team, they have to get rid of AD,” the rapper said on the show last November. It was a bold take at the time, despite Davis’ injury struggles. He was still the No. 2 scoring option behind LeBron and his trade value was considered prohibitively high, at least in terms of immediate impact players.

50 Cent Trashes Lil Wayne Ahead Of All-Star Celebrity Game

Meanwhile, Wayne will be swapping punditry for coaching next week as he serves as an assistant coach under Stephen A. Smith at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. However, 50 Cent, who will be coaching under Shannon Sharpe, has already started taking shots at Wayne. “All star game ⭐ ⭐⭐ I’m coaching, you know my team is gonna win. @LilTunechi is probably gonna get high and not show up ! LOL,” Fif wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Wayne is yet to respond to the G-Unit boss.

Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe will face off next week during the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. The two ESPN personalities will serve as the team coaches while also boasting stacked benches of assistants. Smith will be joined by A’ja Wilson and Wayne while Sharpe has added Fif and Peyton Manning. However, their respective rosters are also equally loaded. Smith boasts the likes of Texans QB CJ Stroud, WNBA star Natasha Cloud, and R&B legend Jennifer Hudson. Meanwhile, Sharpe’s team includes Cowboys powerhouse Micah Parsons, WNBA star Jewell Lloyd, and streamer Kai Cenat.

Shannon Sharpe Unbothered After Turbulent Career Year: “I Got More Subs Than “Undisputed”

Shannon Sharpe has said he “ain’t sweating” the turbulence that has surrounded his career over the past 12 months. “I got more subs than Undisputed. You look at the talent they got now… We’re out here launching a new podcast. I ain’t sweating it, I’m fine. My agent? He tells me – don’t worry about it. Your next contract will make up for what you lost. I’m doing just fine,” Sharpe told Chad Johnson.

2023 marked the end of Sharpe’s run on FS1’s Undisputed. Sharpe left the show abruptly after the NBA Finals, ending a seven-year run opposite Skip Bayless. However, Sharpe would later reveal that he had been all-but forced out as Bayless looked to re-center the show around himself. Of course, Sharpe then took his various products to a host of other platforms while moving his punditry to ESPN. First Take, which already held a commanding viewership lead over Undisputed, then pulled clear away from its FS1 rival. Bayless tried to compensate with Hall of Famer NFLers and Lil Wayne, but the viewership had long left with Sharpe.

Shannon Sharpe Posts 80s Throwback To Show He’s “Always Been Poppin’”

Meanwhile, Sharpe also recently posted a throwback photo to show that his fitness journey is not a new thing. The image showed Sharpe at 20 and was posted to social media last month. “When they say UNC just started poppin. That’s a lie. UNC been poppin since the 80s. Here’s proof of young 20 yr old Nephew. 😜😜🤪🤪 #ТВT #SSUQRANGECRUSH #BEENHIM #IMSTILLHIM,” Sharpe added as a caption.

“20-year-old nephew” dates the photo to 1988, Sharpe’s penultimate season at Savannah State. In 1990, he would become an unheralded seventh-round pick by the Broncos. However, the rest is history. Sharpe would become one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history and one of the greatest Broncos of all time. He ended his career with three Super Bowl rings and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2011.

Richard Sherman Makes Keyshawn Johnson Walk Out Of “Undisputed” After NFL MVP Take

Richard Sherman and Keyshawn Johnson are two of the newest faces on Undisputed. Overall, they were brought in to replace Shannon Sharpe. Unfortunately, Sharpe is a personality who is impossible to replace. Furthermore, as many fans have pointed out, Skip Bayless just doesn’t have the same chemistry with these two. Regardless, the show persists and typically, the biggest arguments are between Sherman and Johnson. Sometimes, these conversations can get pretty heated and it leads to some good TV.

For instance, on Tuesday morning, these two had it out over the NFL MVP conversation. In the eyes of Johnson, it is very obvious right now that Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, deserves the MVP award. He has been phenomenal so far this season and has led his team to a league best 12-3 record. However, Sherman believes the MVP award could actually go to a QB who may not even make the playoffs. The quarterback in question is none other than Josh Allen for the Buffalo Bills.

Richard Sherman Sounds Off

Based on the statistics, Allen is responsible for more touchdowns than any quarterback in the league. Therefore, Sherman believes this makes him the MVP compared to Jackson. Johnson was flabbergasted by this take and immediately let his displeasure be known. He ultimately walked off of the set, and left Skip right there by himself. It was pretty hilarious, and we can imagine a lot of fans were left in agreement with what Johnson did in that situation. After all, making Allen the MVP would be laughable knowing what we know right now.

With Sherman’s take in mind, let us know who you think should be the MVP of this NFL season. Is Lamer Jackson a lock or should it go to someone else? Tell us, in the comments section below. Lil Wayne Urges Caution From Fans Saying Draymond Green Needs Help

It’s been a turbulent NBA season for Golden State Warriors mainstay Draymond Green so far. During the offseason, he was already dealing with drama as reports claimed he was beefing with some of his Warriors teammates. But that was quickly surpassed once the season started. In November, he was ejected from a game after putting Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert in a chokehold, something you certainly don’t see on a basketball court every day. For that offense, he was suspended for the next 5 games and even found himself being mocked on an episode of Saturday Night Live.

Earlier this month he was ejected once again, for the third time already this year. His latest ejection came when he hit Phoenix Suns player Jusuf Nurkic in the head while trying to draw a foul. Draymond apologized for the incident and claimed it was purely accidental, but despite that, the league suspended him again. This time though, they took the highly unusual approach of suspending him indefinitely for his repeated offenses. The unconventional move unsurprisingly spawned reactions from dozens of figures across the sports world. Now, the music world is weighing in as well. Lil Wayne stopped by an episode of Undisputed to share his thoughts on the situation. Check out what he had to say below.

Lil Wayne Talks Draymond Suspension

In his take on the situation, Wayne urged caution from those saying that Draymond Green needs to seek help. He claimed that people should know more about the situation before claiming that somebody should seek out help publicly. The take didn’t sit well with some of the fans in the comments.

“If you are a grown man and clearly have issues with self-control, and look to hurt people unnecessarily, yes you need help fixing your sh*t,” the top comment on a repost of the clip reads. What do you think about Lil Wayne’s take on the Draymond Green situation? Do you think Draymond needs people in his life to look out for him? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cam’ron Trolls Skip Bayless As “Complex” Ranks Him And Mase Higher On Sports Personalities List

Cam’ron took a shot at Skip Bayless after he and Ma$e were ranked higher than the Undisputed host on Complex‘s list of sports personalities. “Congrats 2 my big bros @stephenasmith and @shannonsharpe84 for securing the top spots!! And Thx @complex for the write up. Number 6 ain’t bad for our 9th month in business. And everyone before us is on TV.. we appreciate y’all!! Here’s some others on the list!! Hey skip!! Down there lol Yeah Murder!!! @rsvpmase @itiswhatitis_talk And thank you @underdogfantasy,” Cam’ron wrote on Instagram.

It Is What It Is has quickly become a fan-favorite sports show, despite the lack of sports expertise and it’s unorthodox home on YouTube. While there were rumblings earlier in the year that a major network was in talks to acquire the show, that does not appear to have come to pass. However, Cam’ron has been transparent about aiming high. His latest hints suggested that a major NBA legend will soon be joining the show’s main cast. It remains to be seen if that will still occur. However, It Is What It Is‘ star is shining bright and set to only shine brighter in 2024.

First Take Dominating Undisputed

However, losing out to Cam’ron and Ma$e isn’t the only thing that Bayless has had to deal with this week. According to Front Office Sports, over the last week of November and the first week of December, First Take averaged more than 5.5 times the viewership of Undisputed. Furthermore, November finished with the best monthly viewership figures in the 16-year history of First Take.

The gap between the two shows has only continued to grow over the second half of 2023. Despite a complete retooling, Undisputed has been unable to bounce back from losing Shannon Sharpe to ESPN back in June. No matter what Skip Bayless tries, including getting a live college commitment announcement on the show, nothing is helping close the gap with the Stephen A. Smith-led vehicle. Not even adding the likes of Lil Wayne has helped Undisputed catch up.

“First Take” Continues To Dominate “Undisputed” In TV Ratings

First Take has continued to hold a massive lead over Undisputed in terms of TV rankings. According to Front Office Sports, Over the last week of November and the first week of December, the ESPN product averaged more than 5.5 times the viewership of its FS1 rival. First Take‘s Upward Trend Continues

The addition of Shannon Sharpe, even as a part-time contributor, has helped First Take rocket to new heights, well above any of its major competitors. Back in September, First Take was seeing single-episode highs of over 700,000 unique viewers. However, perhaps Bayless is the architect of his own destruction. In September, Smith was making bombshell claims about Sharpe’s former employer. Smith claimed that he doesn’t view his acquisition of Sharpe as poaching or anything like that because Sharpe “didn’t leave of his own volition”.

However, it makes sense. It’s an open secret at this point that Skip Bayless has been seeking more and more control over his flagship show at FS1. It’s likely that Bayless wanted Sharpe out so that he could restructure the show to once again put himself at the top of the pecking order. This is supported by the fact several people were considered and rejected to replace Sharpe and most were rejected on the basis that they would be too much of an equal opponent for Bayless. Instead, Bayless reportedly wants easy wins when it comes to his debate partners.

Cam’ron Takes Aim At Skip Bayless For “Using” Lil Wayne & Yella Beezy For Clout

Cam’ron is someone who does not mince words. Overall, this is especially true on his new sports talk show, It Is What It Is. He and Ma$e have renewed their friendship on this show, and it has been great to see. As you probably know, these two have taken aim at plenty of figures this season. However, they have a lot of respect because of these tactics. Fans love the show, and it will not be going away, anytime soon.

Recently, Cam decided to go after Skip Bayless while OJ Simpson was on the show. Essentially, Cam takes issue with the fact that Bayless seemingly “uses” black people to make himself appear cooler. For instance, he referenced the fact that Lil Wayne, Yella Beezy, and Bubba Dub have all been on the show. Cam feels like Skip is trying too hard and that if there is a show they should go on, it would be It Is What It Is.

Cam’ron Says His Peace

“Yo if anybody that’s popping on the Gram, social media — do not go up there for free cause them n**** is getting the bag, my n***a. They treating y’all like the NCAA in 1991, my n***… The name of their show, you ever see how it comes on, like the logo? It’s gold chains,” Cam explained. “Skip, get the fuck out of here with them gold chains bro. Yo stop man. You gotta stop bro. Yo Bubba Dub, Yella Beezy – like I said, I already know Wayne ain’t playing no games — stay the fuck away if y’all don’t get paid. That n***a using y’all for cool points ’cause he don’t know how to be cool.”

Skip and Wayne have been good friends for a minute now, so he would probably disagree with the sentiment. However, there is no doubt that Cam is making an interesting point. Do you think he’s right? Let us know in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latst news from around the sports world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Michael Irvin Trolls Son For Rap Career: “You Grew Up In A Gated Community”

Michael Irvin called out his son during an appearance on Skip Bayless’ FS1 show, Undisputed, teasing him for pursuing a career in hip-hop. The NFL legend joked that his son grew up in a “gated community” and doesn’t know where his lyrics are coming from. Irvin’s son raps under the name “Tut Tarantino.”

“I got a son. He raps. His rap name is Tut Tarantino,” Irvin said. “If you ever listen to some of his raps. I’m like, ‘Oh my god. Where does this come from, son? You grew up in a gated community your whole life.’ But he’s rapping my life. Because we romanticize and fantasize about that old thug life, ghetto life, and all of that stuff. [W]e used to work to get away from [it]. Now, we’ve gotten to a place somehow where we’re running back towards it. In the music, in everything.”

Where does this stuff come from?’ I worked hard to get you out of this, and you’re rapping right back to it.” Check out Irvin’s latest comments on his son below.

Shannon Sharpe Claims He Nearly Hit Skip Bayless During Tom Brady Debate

While appearing on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Shannon Sharpe recalled a time in 2022 when he nearly came to physical blows with former co-host Skip Bayless. The moment came during an episode of Undisputed when Bayless took a jab at Sharpe about “having to stop at 35” in comparison to Tom Brady, who played well into his 40s. Despite being a seventh-round pick, Sharpe became one of the best tight ends in NFL history. He won three Super Bowls before he retired. Sharpe’s unamused reaction was a rare break in his demeanor on the show. He explained to Smith that he had to restrain himself from “putting his hands” on Bayless.

“Why would I be jealous of Tom Brady? I’m happy that Tom — Tom was like me, given an opportunity, he made the most of that opportunity. I think that was, in all of my TV career, I remember going home, calling my sister, I called my brother, my homeboy, everybody had told him, he raced home, he’d watch it. It took a lot. It took a lot for me not to put my hands on him, it actually did,” Sharpe said. Smith, whose show First Take Sharpe has since joined, joked he was thankful Sharpe didn’t resort to blows because it wouldn’t have gone well for Bayless.

Sharpe Helps First Take Pummel Undisputed In The Ratings

While Sharpe never came to physical blows with Sharpe, he has helped body Undisputed in the ratings. Figures from September between First Take and Undisputed show that the Shannon Sharpe Effect is very much a thing. Viewership figures from September 12 show that First Take received 717,000 viewers. By comparison, Undisputed received 118,000 viewers on the same day.

Furthermore, figures from earlier in the month show a similar trend. Even before Sharpe debuted on First Take on September 4, the numerical evidence was already there. When Undisputed came back from its summer hiatus, it premiered to an audience of 131,000. That dropped to 78,000 viewers by the middle of Undisputed‘s first week back on the air.

Lil Wayne Gives Skip Bayless A Deep Dive On “The Fix”

Lil Wayne gave his close friend Skip Bayless a deeper breakdown on his recently released mixtape. “The Fix is just a few songs to satisfy my fans because I love them so much. I just wanted to give them something before the actual album. Because we’re still getting clearances and things like that before we drop the actual album. They are songs off the album and songs I recorded specifically for it [The Fix],” Wayne told Bayless on Undisputed. The full album, Tha Carter VI, is due out later this year.

Wayne has had a weekly spot on Undisputed since the show came back from its summer hiatus. The rapper was the first new addition to the show announced by Bayless back in early August. He now does a handful of segments on Fridays, occasionally coming into the studio to chat with Bayless. Elsewhere, Wayne will perform at halftime during this Sunday’s Raiders game. The 1-1 Raiders host the 1-1 Steelers in a crucial early-season matchup for both teams.

Undisputed Ratings Continue To Tank

Despite the addition of Lil Wayne, Undisputed has continued to struggle in the ratings game. Throughout the month, First Take has completely dominated its Fox rival. Viewership figures from September 12 show that First Take received 717,000 viewers. By comparison, Undisputed, Sharpe’s former workplace, received 118,000 viewers on the same day. While First Take has always had an edge on Undisputed, the schism has grown substantially since Sharpe’s departure in June.

Furthermore, the Sharpe Effect appears to only be growing. Even before Sharpe debuted on First Take on September 4, the numerical evidence was already there. When Undisputed came back from its summer hiatus, it premiered to an audience of 131,000. That dropped to 78,000 viewers by the middle of Undisputed‘s first week back on the air. As Sharpe settles into his role at First Take, it’s likely that the gap is only going to continue to grow.
