In light of Cassie’s lawsuit and damning allegations against Diddy, social media users have been digging into his past. Recently, they’ve called attention to a Yung Joc interview from last year. During a conversation with VladTV, the rapper recalled an incident which he said resulted in Cassie’s iconic partially-shaved head. He claimed that Diddy told Cassie to shave her head after spotting another women with the style, and she agreed.
According to Yung Joc, he and his wife were hanging out with Diddy and Cassie one evening when the Bad Boy Records founder saw a white woman with the side of her head shaved. According to him, Diddy leapt up, requesting that Cassie do the same. “Yo, yo Cassie,” Yung Joc recalled him saying. “Tomorrow I want you to shave the side of your head.” The rapper said that he was shocked by Diddy’s demand, and even more taken aback by Cassie’s response.
“I was like, ‘what the f*ck kind of request is that?‘” he added. “Whatever Sean wants I’m gonna do,” he claimed Cassie told him. While Yung Joc said that Cassie agreed to the haircut, his recollection has managed to raise some eyebrows amid her other damning allegations against the 54-year-old. This isn’t the only resurfaced interview that users have dug up as of late, however.
Back in 2019, Diddy’s ex Gina Huynh sat down with Tasha K to reflect on her relationship with the artist. During the interview, she accused him of physical and emotional abuse, claiming that those around Diddy failed to call attention to the alleged mistreatment. She also alleged that she became pregnant with Diddy’s child at one point, claiming that he offered her $5K to terminate the pregnancy. While she went through with the abortion, she says she refused to take his payment because she “just cared about him.” What do you think of Yung Joc’s recollection of Diddy allegedly telling Cassie to shave part of her head? Recently, Ray J took to social media to reveal how Blueface has inspired him. The performer claims that Blueface’s fiancée Jaidyn Alexis’ budding music career has left him wanting the same for his own partner, Princesss Love. In a new clip, he’s seen with Princess and Safaree, asking followers what kind of music they want to hear from her.
“Congrats!! to @bluefasebabyy and @officialjaidynalexxis,” he wrote. “Now I’m inspired to make my wife @princesslove at hit!!! Got writers on deck!! #SAFAREE @dope_shixxt and the whole squad! — what yall think the song she be about???” Blueface seems to be on board, chiming into Ray J’s comments section. “Milf Music,” he simply wrote.
Jaidyn Alexis has certainly popped off in recent months, particularly thanks to her viral hit, “Barbie.” The MILF Music mainstay previously gained some traction for her other witty tracks, “Post Opp,” “Stewie,” and more. According to Blueface, however, he’s not the writing her music, specifically not her most recent catchy single. He responded to speculation that he was the mind behind “Barbie” on his Instagram Story last month, making it clear that the sassy lyrics were all her. “Jaidyn! Tell them you wrote this s**t,” he demanded, prompting her to declare, “That’s my s**t!” Moreover, Blueface was actually pretty offended by the rumors, insisting he would never write something so “zesty.”
“You really think I wrote that?” he asked his viewers. “That’s disrespectful. Y’all callin a n***a zesty? Is that what it is? So if I wrote them lyrics that make me zesty cuh? Jaidyn, tell em you wrote it. I ain’t never been zesty.” Regardless, if Ray J actually takes any hints from the MILF Music founder, it’s safe to say that Princess Love will be topping the charts in no time. What do you think of Ray J claiming that Blueface inspired him to write Princess Love a hit? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
On this day in Hip-Hop history, Method Man released his debut solo LP Tical. Sticking to RZA’s plan on industry domination, Method was the first to roll out his solo LP after the ridiculous success group debut Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). In the early years of the Wu, Method Man had grown become the public face of the group. His larger than life persona and a multitude of styles won over the hearts and ears of fans after the groups first single “Protect Ya Neck” had “Method Man” on it’s B-side.
Tical delves deeper into the sinister villainous style previewed on 36 Chambers. Method Man creates a dark anti-hero on this album who hungers for the career of wack rappers and perpetrators. It was truly a violent introduction to one of the most outrageous members of the Wu, second only to ODB in theatrical personality.
Considered a “two-man show” by critics, the album was almost entirely produced by RZA. As the Wu’s architect, RZA created specific sounds for each member. Method unique sonic was the most film inspired. Meth continued to build a character likened to the many crime bosses and master villains that starred in his beloved Kung-Fu flicks. Aside from the image, lyrically the album is on another level. Method Man flawlessly juggles synonyms and metaphors with a flow that weaves in and out of the beat to create a hardcore symphony of Shaolin style.
Commercially, the album was a hit and only added on to the cipher of success revolving around the Wu-Tang Clan. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop chart selling a million copies within a year of its release. It kick-started a wave of successful solo albums and keep afloat RZA’s five-year plan to becoming the greatest rap group in history.
Rapper Snoop Dogg has spent the last several decades adding almost as many successful business ventures to his portfolio as he has musical awards to his artistic accomplishments. And this week, he diversified his business portfolio even more, stepping into the world of tech with his son, Cordell Broadus, as the two announced Death Row Games, a Fortnite-based game studio designed to provide access and opportunity to diverse creators and broaden the narrative around gaming.
The game studio relies on Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), a community-based platform that allows anyone from individual creators to professional gaming studios to create content using open-source code. (Epic Games takes a 5% royalty fee from most developers who sell their content via the platform.) The versatile code allows creators to create games that are usually functional on most consoles including Xbox, Playstation, PC, and VR devices.
Snoop stated that he and his son have been experimenting with game publishing for the last few years, but on an amateur level. They decided to start Death Row Games as a way to make “a home for diverse creators in the gaming ecosystem and be a part of the narrative, the storytelling of what the next game should be looking like. And I keep saying ‘show representation of the culture in these sectors,’ versus us just being the talent. We wanted to make sure that we’re part of the decision that’s being made and more importantly tell these stories from diverse creators and focus on creatives in underserved communities.”
For those that may not be aware, Snoop has been involved in the gaming industry for quite some time, participating in the esports gaming collective FaZe Clan and also had a custom skin in Call of Duty and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In 2019, he launched his own esports tournament series, the Gangsta Gaming League and in 2021, he dropped an exclusive NFT collection titled “A Journey with the Dogg.” In 2013, the rapper also debuted the Snoopify app, which allows users to add Snoop Dogg-themed stickers and graphics to their personal photos.
Death Row Games will join Snoop’s other business ventures, which have an estimated net worth of $160 million and include Snoop Doggie Dogg’s pet product line, venture capital firm Casa Verde Capital, the Leafs by Snoop cannabis brand, Snoopadelic Films, his Indoggo gin line, and several more. Cordell, Snoop’s second-oldest son, also has experience in the game design and NFT space.
No word if Snoop will show up like Travis Scott to perform a Fortnite concert for fans yet, but Snoop did set up residency in The Sandbox gaming metaverse back in 2021, hosting a virtual performance and dropping custom NFTs for fans.
If she is expecting her first child, Halle Bailey has done a pretty impressive job of hiding it so far. Seeing as rumours have been following her and DDG for months now, though, it’s clear that it’s not good enough to keep the gossip at bay. Earlier today (November 13) fans of the couple thought they finally caught the YouTuber slipping by accidentally showing off Bailey’s bump. However, a new tweet from DDG has us questioning whether he and his other half have been messing with our heads this whole time.
The “Elon Musk” artist is often trolling online, usually to rack up more views on his videos. Now that he and The Little Mermaid actress are on a baecation together, social media sleuths have been carefully scouring through every post, looking for any evidence that Bailey has a baby on the way. Before long they found what they were looking for in multiple forms, including reflections of the singer in DDG’s sunglasses that seem to show her growing stomach.
As that and other “clues” began circulating on various blogs, some felt sure that the young lovers would have no choice but to finally share the big news. Instead, DDG is brushing off speculation of a slip-up, tweeting, “The internet so gullible ,” this afternoon. We’ve seen other celebs successfully hide almost their entire pregnancy in the past, but still, keeping such a major secret has to be exhausting.
We still can’t say for sure whether or not Halle Bailey and DDG are parents-to-be. What we do know is that if they do have a child it’ll certainly be well taken care of. This is thanks to income from the former’s budding acting career and the latter’s new collection with Boohoo Man. Read all about DDG’s latest venture in the fashion world at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
PinkyDoll is someone who burst onto the scene out of nowhere. Overall, she is known as a TikTok NPC streamer. For those who don’t know, NPC streams are a relatively new phenomenon. They involve a person in front of the camera simply acting like an NPC based on donations made by the chat. PinkyDoll is the most viral of these streamers thanks to the unique things she does, such as trying to pop popcorn with a hair straightener. Although some are freaked out by these streams, she remains popular on the platform.
Since she started to go viral, the TikTok star has been able to maintain relevancy. For instance, she has linked up with a plethora of Twitch streamers. Moreover, she even got to hang out with NLE Choppa recently. The Laval, Quebec-based content creator continues to try new things, and she is eager to expand her career. In fact, she is now trying her hand at music. Below, you can see a preview of her track “Yes Popcorn” which is a reference to her streams.
Unfortunately for PinkyDoll, this song is very much “not it.” From the autotune to the weak hook, fans are not feeling this at all. The tweet above eventually got ratio’d pretty hard with Twitter users going in on the viral star. “As a child I thought 2023 would have flying cars, robot maids, and teleportation. Not…whatever the fuck the shit is,” one person wrote. “She is trash, this song trash, the attempt(give you credit but trash) Now a days anyone will do anything for some attention smh,” said another.
Fans React
Sometimes, it is simply better to stay in one’s lane. Trying to get viral hits in the music world has become a popular practice over the last few years. Sometimes, it works but other times it results in massive failures. For PinkyDoll, it appears as though the latter is true. Let us know what you think of the track, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will be sure to keep you informed.

One could argue that the UK’s rap scene has been running laps around that of the United States for many years. A vast city filled with a variety of cultures and styles, London has been the hub for many of the world’s best lyricists. The British capital has a rich history of pushing musical boundaries, including hip-hop and beyond. The development of London’s rap scene as we know it occurred almost concurrently with the rise of grime in the 2000s. Over the years, the genres have often overlapped, with many grime MCs taking on hip-hop production, eventually evolving to what we now know as UK drill and afroswing — two of the most popular styles of British rap music.
Today, we are highlighting 7 London rappers you should be listening to. While London is home to many legendary rappers and grime MCs, this list prioritizes the stars of today who are actively establishing themselves as the future of the city. Many UK icons still continue to release music, but we are spotlighting both the new legends and those who are working toward that status. Take a look at the list below.
Tottenham in North London is home to many of the UK’s greatest MCs, including Skepta, JME, Frisco, and Wretch 32. Also hailing from the district is Avelino, the skilled and criminally underrated lyricist. His big break was in 2015 when he released a collaborative mixtape (Young Fire, Old Flame) and an earth-shattering freestyle with his mentor, the aforementioned Wretch 32.
Fast forward to 2023, Avelino stayed on course, finally releasing his debut album, God Save The Streets earlier this year. Executive produced by Wretch, the album fulfilled Avelino’s true potential. It contains clever wordplay while also serving as a cautionary tale to his home city. With one of the best rap albums of the year, Avelino is a must-listen.
Headie One
Another Tottenham native, Headie One is the drill superstar who brought the sub-genre to new heights. Headie has played an integral role in drill’s longevity, bringing depth to the tough and aggressive style. The London rapper started his takeover at the end of the 2010s, releasing street anthems like “Know Better” and “18Hunna.” Following his 2019 mixtape, Music x Road, Headie One served four months in prison for knife possession, but he came back bigger than ever.
In 2020, he collaborated with Fred again.. for the groundbreaking GANG EP and released his gold-selling debut album, EDNA. The album hosted features from Drake, Skepta, Future, AJ Tracey, Stormzy, Young Adz, and others. More recently, Headie One branched out with his collaborations on his No Borders compilation, which featured rappers from all over Europe. He also recently teamed up with K-Trap for the collaborative mixtape, Strength To Strength. Headie One is an essential listen for drill fans.
Dave is one of London’s biggest superstars and is rapidly growing his fanbase in the United States. The Streatham, South London rapper is known for his deep lyricism and conscious subject matter, as well as his numerous hit records and award-winning albums. Both of his studio albums, 2019’s PSYCHODRAMA and 2021’s We’re All Alone in This Together are considered modern classics, earning a Mercury Prize win, BRIT Awards, and numerous platinum certifications. He’s worked with the likes of Drake, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and others. This year, Dave teamed up with Central Cee for Split Decision, a collaborative EP that included the hit single, “Sprinter.” Dave is a London rapper who is quickly building his status as a young legend in the game.
One of the UK’s most trailblazing figures is J Hus. A pioneer of the afroswing genre, the Stratford, London rapper and singer heavily celebrates his Gambian heritage in his music. Hus’s humorous bars, endless versatility, and infectious melodies have earned him the status of one of the UK’s most revered artists. With classic albums like 2017’s Common Sense and 2020’s Big Conspiracy, as well as hit singles like “Did You See,” J Hus has never missed. This year, he returned with Beautiful And Brutal Yard, his third studio album that included features from the likes of Drake, Jorja Smith, and frequent collaborator Burna Boy. With one of 2023’s best hip-hop albums, J Hus is continuing his reign as one of London’s most unique rappers.
Loyle Carner
Loyle Carner is as authentic as it gets. The Lambeth, South London rapper is known for his transparent lyricism, often rhyming over jazzy hip-hop breaks. Loyle Carner’s autobiographical bars are compelling in their content and delivery. Each of his distinctly unique studio albums serves as a journey of self-discovery that marks key points in his life. Loyle Carner has worked with artists such as Jorja Smith, Sampha, and frequent collaborator Tom Misch. Loyle Carner is in a lane of his own when it comes to many different styles of hip hop coming from London.
With each album, Little Simz has grown both artistically and in notoriety. The Islington, London native has experimented with numerous styles of hip hop, crafting abrasive bangers and soulful moments of reflection. While she has recently tightened her collaborative circle, Little Simz has worked with artists like Chronixx, Syd, Chip, and Ghetts. She frequently collaborates with Cleo Sol of Sault, as well as Inflo, the producer and Sault member responsible for producing her last two critically acclaimed albums.
While each of Little Simz’s projects has its own unique sound and style, 2021’s Mercury Prize-winning Sometimes I Might Be Introvert and last year’s No Thank You took her career to new heights. Rolling Stone even listed the former on their controversial list of the 200 Greatest Hip Hop Albums of All Time. Little Simz is definitely a London rapper that you should be listening to.
Stormzy
It is impossible to discuss UK rap without mentioning Stormzy. With only three albums in his discography, the Croydon MC is one of London’s most prolific and legendary artists. He launched his career as one of grime’s most promising names before expanding his repertoire on his 2017 debut Gang Signs & Prayer. The album incorporates elements of hip-hop, grime, R&B, and gospel, with features from Ghetts, J Hus, Wretch 32, and more. In 2019, Stormzy made history at Glastonbury, becoming the first black British solo artist to headline the festival.
Stormzy’s second album, Heavy Is The Head served as a victory lap to his newfound legend status, boasting features from Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, and H.E.R. Recently, the rap star has been releasing singles throughout 2023 following the release of his third studio album, 2022’s spiritual and R&B-centric This Is What I Mean. While Stormzy is one of London’s biggest rappers, his skill set should not go unnoticed in the U.S.
Renowned rapper Rick Ross found himself in an unforgettable predicament when his ankle monitor unexpectedly went off in the presence of former President Barack Obama. In a recent interview with Complex, Rick Ross confirmed the incident, providing a glimpse into this extraordinary encounter. The interviewer asked if it was true if the incident happened, to which Rick responded it was. “I did,” admitted Rick Ross with a nonchalant demeanor, acknowledging the moment when his ankle monitor disrupted the presence of one of the most influential figures in American history. Meek Mill, who was also present during the interview, recounted the aftermath of this extraordinary encounter. The two were laughing about it because Ross was clearly embarrassed about it.
Ross had the unique privilege of meeting President Obama in 2016, a meeting that demanded the surrender of all electronic devices. The room where this historic meeting took place was not your average setting; it was filled with several hip-hop icons, making it a truly iconic moment. At the time, Rick Ross was on house arrest. He remembered the moment it happened, and proceeded to slouch down on the couch as he retold how he felt in the moment. “The Secret Service started moving because everybody gave away they phones—all electronics had to be given up,” Ross said. “So when something started making a noise, you saw all the people in the back and I’m like, ‘Damn.’ And then it finally went off and then Obama had to say something. I ain’t gonna repeat it out of respect for Obama though.”
It’s a funny story, for sure. Fans reacted to hearing this story as well as the overall interview on social media. “Am sorry but I don’t know why am laughing [crying laughing face emoji,” one person wrote. “Meek and Ross are the funniest combo man, its good seeing them in this light,” another person said. “Funniest thing I seen was Ross speaking on prison reform,” someone else commented.
Rick Ross has been speaking out on all kinds of things lately. Moreover, he spoke with Rolling Stone the other day to share his thoughts on Jada Pinkett Smith. “To me, she’s psychologically lost and needs some counseling,” Rick Ross said of the actress. “Jesus! What are you going to tell us next? When you tell us you haven’t been together in six years, you haven’t had sex in this many years, you don’t have a prenuptial agreement — OK, what’s next?” It’s clear Ross is not holding back in any of these interviews.
