Central Cee Is Equal Parts Cocky & Humble On New Two Pack “Bolide Noir”

One of the most important names in all of UK hip-hop right now is back. West Londoner Central Cee is here with a new two-pack for us, “Bolide Noir”. It features the title track, which features the Frenchman, JRK 19, and “Billion Streams Freestyle”. The Columbia Records signee has been enjoying a pretty fruitful 2024 thanks to some big singles and a handful of features. When it comes to the former, you have “BAND4BAND” with Lil Baby and now “gen z luv”, which is gaining steam as we speak. As for the latter, he was able to grab a guest spot on J. Cole’s surprise project Might Delete Later. Of course, you also can’t forget about his controversial Ice Spice collab “Did It First”. That led to lots of rumors, confusion and a breakup with influencer, Madeline Argy.

These two singles are the first offerings since that debacle, and they look to be more hits for Cench in the near future. “Bolide Noir” is the banger of the tandem, and this probably the song that’s going to cause a little debate online. In fact, it already has, as DJ Akademiks posed the question with a screenshot of the bars below. Some fans were giving Cee his flowers, while others were quick to dismiss his bold statements. Then, you have “Billion Streams Freestyle”, which sees him in a reflective state talking about how far he’s come and his biggest career accomplishments. “Said that my b**** was gay, got a billion streams, I’m a mainstream rapper“. Check out the Central Cee singles with the links below.

03 Greedo Tantalizes Fans Ahead Of New Album With “Kill Me / Still Feel Loaded”

03 Greedo is building anticipation for a new album with two singles, “Kill Me” and “Still Feel Loaded”. It is unclear which releases will make the final tracklist, as there is currently some confusion. The Watts, California rapper singer updated his Instagram followers about a month ago regarding the plans for later this year. “While we waiting on sample clearances for #HellaGreedy we got another cake baked for you. New Full Length Studio Album(+Deluxe) “The Life That I Deserve”. In that June 11 post, Greedo also tagged all of the producers that are assisting him. It is quite a respectable list that includes evilgiane, Hit-Boy, Cash Cobain, Harry Fraud, himself, Cash Money AP, and more. There is no current release for Hella Greedy nor for The Life That I Deserve. However, the latter is expected later this summer.

03 Greedo is going to be taking this extra project on a North American tour starting on October 18 and running through November 30. With that timeline, there is a good chance The Life That I Deserve drops sometime in August or early September. So, yes, there is a lot of moving parts for Greedo right now, and it will be interesting to see when and where everything falls into place. For now, the auto-crooner is tiding fans over with “Kill Me” and “Still Feel Loaded”, which marks his second two-song EP this year. In late April he put out “R.I.C.O.”, alongside Maxo Kream, and “Bless Your Soul”. Helluva Beats cooked up the instrumentals for these latest tracks, which is a great sign because these two have quite a lot of chemistry. It is on display for sure and we recommend you give them a whirl with the links below.

Tory Lanez Unearths Two More Lost Tapes, “Phases / Someone Else”

When some artists go to jail or prison, they are not able to keep their fans interest. That could be because their music does not to hold up while they are inactive, or the listeners just are not loyal enough to where they need to constantly find the next best thing. Also playing into that is the rapper’s team either not wanting to push out new/unreleased material, or the artist is refusing to do so. For Tory Lanez, though, things are different, as the Canadian multi-talent is back with two new tracks, “Phases” and “Someone Else”.

The first of them is a 2017 recording, while the latter is from his early prime days in 2015. These are continuing his “Lost Tapes” series, something that the singer and rapper is doing to ensure a tight-knit connection with his listeners. Overall, “Phases” and “Someone Else”, see Tory Lanez once again in his melodic R&B bag. Out of all of the now four releases so far, the former is the most rap centric cut. On it, Tory talks about the common ups and downs in relationships. “Someone Else”, the incarcerated MC has a sneaking suspicion that his girl is cheating so he goes and throws himself a lean party with other random women. Both tracks are once again produced by his close friend and collaborator, Play Picasso.

BossMan Dlow Drops Off Two Pack That Includes A Lil Baby Feature On “PJ”

BossMan Dlow is already star, and it only took him a few months to accomplish this. Yes, he has been rapping since for a few years now, but fans are really starting to take notice in 2024. However, it seems like every time he drops, the song is a hit. “Get In With Me”, “Mr Pot Scraper” “SportsCenter”, and “Finesse” are just a small fleet of his bangers. Overall, these examples are why we can see BossMan Dlow having more heaters on his hands with “PJ” and “ION WANNA HEAR IT”.

These two songs are a part of a two pack and it is clear that the Florida MC wants to waste no time. Just four months ago, BossMan Dlow put out Mr Beat The Road. However, he might be working on another project because “PJ” and “ION WANNA HEAR IT” are the second and third releases since then. The former of them features first-time collaborator Lil Baby. He is the latest star to spit over Dlow’s instantly recognizable skittering productions. Overall, both songs are flexing bangers in some capacity. Whether it being beating the odds or money talk, Dlow raps about both topics to perfection.

Tory Lanez Digs Up Some “Lost Tapes” From 2016 Called “Girls Around The World” & “I’ve Been”

Tory Lanez is still giving fans some heat even though he remains behind bars in the form of the “(Lost Tapes)”. These are a handful of tracks that were recorded by the Canadian melodic rapper in 2016. Both “Girls Around The World” and “I’ve Been” are also self-produced, along with some help from his frequent collaborator, Play Picasso. The latter has helped make some of the rapper/singer’s biggest tracks such as “Traphouse” “LUV” and more. Their chemistry is highly underrated and if you have not heard a lot of their work together, we highly recommend you check out their catalog.

Overall, these two “Lost Tapes” cuts from Tory Lanez see him in his R&B bag. Fans debate back and forth whether or not they think singing Tory or rapping Tory is better. It is certainly a tough question to answer, and that versatility is why the Canadian has gained such a following over the years. On “Girls Around The World”, he experiments with the Afrobeats genre as he swoons over women from Africa. Then on “I’ve Been”, Tory is trying to win back a former lover over a sexier and moodier club-ready beat. Hopefully, these two “Lost Tapes” are a part of a full project of the same.

The Foreign Exchange Reunite For The First Time In 6 Years For “The Grey / I Couldn’t Love You More (Dub)”

Underground rapper/producer duo The Foreign Exchange is back with a fresh set of tracks called “The Grey / I Couldn’t Love You More”. This is the most recent offering from rapper of Little Brother, Phonte, and Dutch producer Nicolay. It is their first under this moniker in a little over six years, as it follows up on the single “June”, which dropped on the fourth of that month in 2018. In terms of projects, The Foreign Exchange’s last offering was a 2017 tape called Hide&Seek. In usual fashion, you are getting great material from Phonte and Nicolay, as both tracks in this two pack go over extremely well.

Overall, “The Grey” offers up a little more in terms of lyrical substance. However, the more subdued “I Couldn’t Love You More” is still a rich listening experience thanks to the production from Nicolay. The latter, according to HipHopDX, is actually a remake of R&B legend Sade’s track of the same name. Tigallo is responsible for the rendition and does a great job capturing the magic of the original. So, why are The Foreign Exchange returning after a such a long hiatus? Well, this is all a part of a 20th anniversary celebration of the duo’s debut project together, Connected. Additionally, they are releasing a limited number of colored vinyls (300) to commemorate this special occasion.

Shaquille O’Neal Rereleases Two 28-Year-Old Tracks Via The “SHAQ Pack”

Shaquille O’Neal is without a doubt the most dominant player the NBA has ever seen. From the moment he stepped onto the floor as a rookie with the Orlando Magic to even his Miami Heat days, there were not many better at his position. The same could be said about his pen game, as he was and still is passionate about his musical career. He was dropping quite a lot of music in the mid to late 1990s, working with some of the best in the booth. The Diesel did take a long break, but lately he has revisited the rapping side of things. Shaquille O’Neal’s SHAQ Pack is here to remind us of his abilities, featuring two songs from 1996.

“Strait Playin’” and “Legal Money” were two popular cuts off You Can’t Stop the Reign, a project that featured plenty of heavy hitters. Some of them included Peter Gunz, DJ Quik, Mobb Deep, and Lord Tariq. The first two land on “Strait Playin’”, a braggadocious, West Coast special. Then, Mobb Deep bring their production expertise and some verses to the table to accompany the standout hook from Tariq. Here, the all-star cast raps about earning dough through reliable means, instead of the dangerous methods that rappers sometimes fall into. There is no telling if Shaq plans on reviving the project and dropping it on streaming. But we are enjoying these blasts from the past.

LUCKI Leaves Off Second 2-Pack, “2 Faced, Pt. 2”, Ahead Of Rumored Album

LUCKI has made a living off his signature mumbly and druggy flows over slow-mo trap rap beats. Today, the Chicago, Illinois-bred artist is delivering more of the same on his newest set of tracks. Just a few months ago, he put out a two-pack called 2 Faced back in January for his rumored album GEMIN! According to Genius, the project is supposed to be out on June 14, and it would follow up his 2023 tape s*x m*ney dr*gs. Now, fast forward to today and LUCKI has more to offer in the form of 2 Faced, Pt. 2.

This time around LUCKI is bossing up on both cuts, which are “Heavy On My Heart”, and “Courtesy Of”. On the first track, the veteran rapper is proving an ex wrong by locking and making as much bread as possible. “Really a rapper, but I’m with the wolves, ’cause I know they’ve got dreams too / We had fell out, the whole world seen it, they had told me to leave you / Went back home when I got rich, and they said I needed you“.

On 2 Faced, LUCKI divulged on being a baller on “PAIDNFULL”, whereas “COLORFUL DRUGS” was more of a trippy vibe than anything else. Overall, these tracks are fine, but nothing too new.

Rich The Kid Finally Releases “Band Man” Along With Peso Pluma Collab “Gimme A Second”

Rich The Kid is the midst of pretty big comeback. The Queens, New York rapper is still riding high off being on one of the biggest records of 2024. That of course is “CARNIVAL” off VULTURES 1. For some, the track came and went. But there is no denying that it was being played everywhere at the time of its release. Now, we are gearing up for Rich The Kid to make his solo return possibly sometime this summer with Life’s a Gamble.

After some pretty underwhelming projects, namely BOSS MAN and Trust Fund Babies, it is clear that he is going big or going home on his third album. Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West are the executive producers and rumors say there will be a crazy number of features. One of those we know now, as Peso Pluma makes an appearance on “Gimme A Second.” This one of two singles that Rich has put out, with the long-awaited “Band Man” being released in unison.

Both tracks do not really stand out from a lyrical perspective, even though Rich has never been seen as a wordsmith. But where both singles shine are production wise, perhaps to no surprise. DJ Durel, “Gimme A Second”, and d.a. got that dope, “Band Man”, both lay down some tight trap instrumentals. Each one has a distinctive vibe and overall carry the tracks. However, we have to give credit to Peso Pluma, as he does bring an animated performance.

What are your thoughts on “Gimme A Second / Band Man” by Rich The Kid and Peso Pluma? Which track do you prefer out of the two and why? Does this get you excited for Life’s a Gamble? Who had the stronger performance on “Gimme A Second?” We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
