When he’s with his family, there’s no denying that Offset has a lot of love in his heart for his five children and wife, Cardi B. Of course, the Atlanta native isn’t perfect, and he has admitted to cheating on his partner in the past. At one point, the Invasion of Privacy artist filed for divorce from Set, which ultimately led him to get his act together. They’ve since been able to turn their relationship drama into art, bringing them plenty of money to continue filling up their luxurious wardrobes.

While the New York-born performer has been finishing her summer by promoting her new “Bongos” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, her other half has been busy generating hype for his upcoming LP. Rather than doing traditional interviews, the “Ric Flair Drip” hitmaker decided to join Kai Cenat for a 24-hour live stream, during which plenty of laughs were shared. Before things got too out of hand, the Hustlers actress had the help of her fanbase in dispelling the gossip. “Y’all are lying and just putting random clips together,” @updatesofcardi tweeted this weekend. “They were laughing because they caught him sleeping, and that’s definitely his brand manager/cousin.”

With fall coming up around the corner, heavyweights within the soulful genre have been previewing their incredible work. Diddy proved that he’s still a force to be reckoned with on, The Love Album: Off the Grid. Muni Long’s latest single also reminds us how magical her voice is. Elsewhere, two other superstars skipped out on the tradition of sharing their new music at midnight, instead opting to drop off “Slime You Out” at noon on Friday (September 15).

Drake and SZA are responsible for the emotional new song. It begins with some impressive vocals from the 36-year-old after he calls out the fairer sex for being too dependent on men. “You b**ches really get carried away / Makin’ mistakes then you beg me to stay,” he sings. “I met the ni**a you thought could replace / How were there even comparisons made?” Drizzy continues, bragging about his ex’s inability to find someone like him after their split.

Burning Man Fiasco Becomes The Main Character On Social Media

Burning Man has ended chaotically. The counterculture festival that has become a refuge for the rich and elite has been beset by a litany of issues during the 2023 running. Heavy rainfall has turned the festival ground in the Nevada desert into a sea of mud and grime. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that the festival is about to become a breeding ground for an ebola outbreak. If that wasn’t enough, police are reportedly investigating a death at the festival.

This chaos has resulted in the Bureau of Land Management, which oversees the Black Rock Desert, essentially locking down the festival. Attendees have been instructed to shelter in place until the roads can be reopened. Meanwhile, the vehicle gates have been shuttered and the the festival-ending effigy burn canceled. However, several high-profile guests have hiked the five miles to the closest town, Gerlach. Earlier in the week, climate activists held up entrance to the festival for hours after blocking the main road into the festival site. They were eventually removed by the county sheriff and tribal rangers. The images later went viral after it was shown that several law enforcement officers drew weapons on the protestors.

Social Media Has No Sympathy For Burning Man

Over the years, Burning Man has developed a unique reputation. What was once a true counterculture festival is now seen as an event only for the ultra-rich. Furthermore, its attendees have developed their own reputation for being absolutely unbearable. As a result of this, those who are stranded in the Nevada desert will find little sympathy online.

“I cannot unsee this image of Neal Katyal, the Supreme Court attorney who among other things successfully defended a company’s use of overseas child slave labor, at Burning Man,” one user wrote in response to an image of Katyal dressed like a child predator in a 90s PSA. “Being trapped at Burning Man seems almost as bad as being trapped in a conversation with someone who went to Burning Man,” added stand-up comedian Sam Morril. Social Media Is Absolutely Roasting Complex’s “All-Time New York Rappers” List

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, many media outlets are doing feature series about the genre. This inevitably leads to a variety of listicles about various scenes, subgenres, and demographics. But few pieces have gotten people as heated as the “50 Best New York Rappers of All Time” list published by Complex on August 11.

The includes a top ten of (in order) Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas, Rakim, LL Cool J, Fif, Nicki, DMX, Busta Rhymes, and KRS-One. It’s a top ten that people may have some slight objections to but is mostly sound. However, the scope and scene knowledge of the team behind the article quickly becomes apparently the further you read. Or don’t read, because the article counts up from #50.

Complex Sure Made Some Choices

A lot of recency bias is present in the Complex article, especially lower down the list. Ice Spice has had a meteoric rise over the past year. However, she makes the list at #50 despite her limited body of work. Meanwhile, Diddy sits at #48, 23 places below Cardi B. The article feels very…vibes driven. Ice Spice gets a spot because she’s hot right now. Cardi anchors the midpoint because most people like Cardi B. Meanwhile, French Montana does not make an appearance on the list. Argue all you want about his heritage but saying he’s not a New York rapper is pretty insulting to the contributions the man made to the city’s scene in the early 2000s.

Perhaps it’s the ranking aspect that makes the article so egregious in the eyes of so many people. While an unranked list, or something more akin to a Hall of Fame list, would still garner debate, it’s the numerical ranking that stuck in the people’s craw. Ice Spice could become an all-timer for NYC. But to have her start a list of the greatest New York rapper of the last 50 years is a wild decision. At the end of the day, it almost feels like ragebait content – a purposefully inflammatory list designed to stoke engagement.

It’s become increasingly hard to tell exactly what the status of Halle Bailey and DDG’s relationship is, but then again, maybe that’s exactly how the creatives want it. The Atlanta native found herself soaring to new heights following The Little Mermaid premiere in the spring, in which she stars opposite Jonah Hauer-King. While playing the roles of Prince Eric and Princess Ariel, they obviously had to film some romantic scenes, but seeing as it’s a Disney movie, there was nothing more than some smooching and subsequent hand-holding on the press tour.

While he’s played it off relatively cool online, it seems DDG has been feeling some type of way about watching Bailey on the big screen with another man. Since the song his DSPs yesterday, social media has had plenty to say about DDG. DDG is very jealous and possessive about her career. The fact that he threatened to hurt her image because he is insecure is a bad sign,” one person reflected after catching up on the tea.

While celebrating her 5-year-old daughter’s birthday this week, the Hustlers actress shared plenty of adorable Kulture content on Instagram. “Happy birthday to my pretty princess. It’s beautiful seeing my girl grow yet makes me a lil sad that my baby is not my little baby no more 💖🎀🍰🎂,” Cardi wrote in a post on Monday (July 10).
