Tupac Had Too Much Empathy To Be A Crack Dealer, Ray Luv Says

Rapper Ray Luv recently reflected on his early friendship with Tupac Shakur on the “Dear Mama” docuseries from FX and Hulu. Moreover, Luv spoke to their dire economic straits and having to turn to the streets and sell drugs to make a buck. However, on the very first episode of the show, Ray said that he and Pac were not successful at all in that enterprise. Unsurprisingly, he spoke of how the California legend’s character and perspective wasn’t very conducive to the often cold and exploitative drug business. Still, they tried to make some money for themselves, but fortunately found other paths to success.

“We sucked at selling crack,” Ray Luv revealed on the deep dive into Tupac Shakur’s personal life. “We were the worst crack dealers in the history of crack dealers. He sold crack for like five days. I think I sold crack for seven, mostly because I couldn’t sell my crack which is weird. We knew very quickly that that was not going to be our way out. Because capitalism requires that your empathy level is relatively low. And his empathy level was a little higher than most people. He didn’t believe in hurting or killing Black people. So if a person is smoking crack with their daughter or their son, he’s not gonna recover from that.”

Of course, Tupac’s character and righteous mindset and mentality is as integral to his legacy as his music in many’s eyes. So much so, in fact, that when a Trump crony compared the former president to the late rapper, Shakur’s sister had to set the record straight. “My brother was measured by his integrity, his principles and personal and collective responsibility,” she expressed. In addition, she called such claims “blasphemous” and said that Tupac actually accepted accountability for his wrongdoing, which Trump has never done.

Regardless of undue comparisons, “Dear Mama” provides previously unreleased footage detailing the “All Eyez On Me” MC’s relationship with his mother. In addition, it covers more personal aspects of his life. “For Tupac superfans, I believe that two of the most important things in the project is the never seen before [footage],” director Allen Hughes remarked. “But most importantly, you get to understand why he made certain decisions.” Check out a trailer for it here, find the released series on FX or Hulu, and return to HNHH for the latest on Tupac Shakur.

Snoop Dogg Mad That Tupac “Took His Shine,” Outlawz Rapper Napoleon Claims

Since his untimely death in 1996, many rappers close to Tupac Shakur continue to preserve and defend his legacy. Among those industry ties is fellow Death Row Records rapper Snoop Dogg, who carries Pac’s memory with stride and continually honors him. However, according to MC Napoleon of the Outlawz, the Long Beach native was actually jealous of the Harlem-born star. In a recent interview with The Art Of Dialogue, he spoke on how Snoop has to navigate Tupac’s death in almost every media conversation he has.

“Maybe some of the things he couldn’t tell Pac face-to-face, you know, he can do it in these interviews,” Napoleon said about Snoop Dogg. “It’s sad. And one of the reasons why I always try to correct this is because him and Pac were friends. I already know why he doin’ that, bro. Imagine if you’re the biggest star on Death Row, and Pac come and take all your shine, you understand? And 25 years later, Pac died, and every time you do an interview, that name is brought up. So maybe he’s just trying to take that shine from Pac. You know what I mean?”

Snoop Dogg Was Jealous Of Tupac’s Success, Napoleon Claims In New Interview

Also, Napoleon said that the “What’s My Name?” MC was wrong to express his dislike of Pac’s diss track “Hit ‘Em Up” and should only focus on the positive side of him. “Man, I’d say a week before he died, we was best of friends,” Snoop Dogg told Big Boy on Untold Stories. “Two days before he died, I don’t think he liked me. Because we was in New York and s**t had happened. New York n***as had shot at me and did all kinds of s**t to me, just the worst s**t you could think of, and I forgave ’em. Then I went and did an interview and was asked how did I feel about Puffy and Biggie. I was like, ‘I like them n***as, I wanna do some music with ’em.’

“And that just rubbed cuz the wrong way, like, ‘N***a, f**k them n***as, them n***as tried to kill me,’” Snoop continued. “‘N***as shot at you, and you talking about you wanna do a song with them n***as?’ Even when he played the video for me to ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ even when he played ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ the song, I didn’t like the song. I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the s**t. It wasn’t the s**t to me. Like, you buying more problems, cuh. You buying problems. Gangstas is everywhere. They make ’em everywhere.” Regardless of your take on this, come back to HNHH for the latest on Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

Tony Rock Looks for the Good in AI-Generated Music: ‘You Can Have the Biggie and Tupac Album’

Tony Rock Calls Cap to Will’s Attempt to Apologize

This AI thing is getting out of control, isn’t it? Over the weekend, an outpour of AI-generated singles hit the Internet. The most notable was a dupe Drake and The Weeknd single. But could there be some good in it? Tony Rock thinks so.

TMZ caught the comedian at the airport, and he believes it could give us more music from Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. in the form of a joint album.

“I’m looking forward the collaborations we never got because of musicians’ untimely passing,” Rock said. “You can have the Biggie and Tupac album. Isn’t that something everybody would want to hear? A Biggie and Tupac collab.”

He added, “Musically, I would love to see Michael Jackson, featuring JAY-Z, featuring Tupac, featuring Ol’ Dirty Bastard.”

It may be a good idea. MAY. But good luck getting past the estates with that one. You can hear Tony Rock’s ideas below.

Lil Yachty Calls Drake’s Tupac-Playing Toilets “So Annoying” In Kai Cenat Stream

They say money can’t buy happiness. That doesn’t seem to be the truth for Drake, who’s certainly managed to fit the absolute best of everything into his mansion – including singing toilets. The father of one didn’t flex the unique feature himself. Instead, his good pal, Lil Yachty dished about it during his recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s internet show. The latter duo discussed a multitude of interesting topics, from DDG’s diss track to using the bathroom at Drizzy’s. This is something that the Georgia-born lyricist describes as “so annoying” now that he’s done it enough times.

“Every bathroom in his house has heated seats,” Yachty shared during the stream. Aside from that luxury, the toilets also play one of Tupac’s most famous diss tracks while in use. “And every bathroom in his house, when you walk up to the toilet, it opens and starts playing 2Pac’s ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’” Lil Boat alleged. “I swear to God! Every time it’s like, ‘Yeah, you fat muthaf*cka!’ It’s so annoying when you gotta take a shit ’cause it keeps looping.”

Lil Yachty Spills Secrets About Drake’s Home

He’s had the pleasure of relieving himself at Drake’s house “several” times. However, Yachty noted that he’s yet to use every bathroom on the Canadian’s property. At this time, there are minimum “eight or nine” thrones he hasn’t christened, but that will surely change as his long-standing bromance with his “Oprah’s Bank Account” collaborator continues. While certainly laughable, the 36-year-old’s Tupac tribute isn’t exactly surprising. He’s previously expressed love for the late rhymer on various occasions.

Specifically, he spent an astounding $600K on two chains in 2020, both of them depicting the West Coast legend – one with gold and red accents, the other silver and blue. Aside from that ‘Pac was also Drake’s most-listened-to artist of 2022 in his annual Spotify wrapped. He spent 246 minutes of the year streaming the multi-talent’s discography, which placed him in the top seven percent of fans. Tune into Kai Cenat’s full live stream with Lil Yachty below, and share your thoughts on Champagne Papi’s unique bathroom setup in the comments.

Snoop Dogg Reveals He Wasn’t A Fan Of “Hit ‘Em Up”

Snoop Dogg recently shared his thoughts on one of the 90’s most famous diss tracks. Tupac’s “Hit ‘Em Up” was released in 1996 and featured disses of several prominent East Coast rappers. Most notably, Pac took aim at friend turned rival Notorious B.I.G.. Pac’s bombastic takedown of all things East Coast earned many fans and detractors alike. Moreover, the song has gone down as one of the most indelible tracks of both the decade and hip history. Indeed, It speaks to the track’s longevity that it still gets play to this day. However, Snoop now admits that he wasn’t a fan of the track.

Snoop recently sat down with Big Boy TV to discuss his relationship with Tupac. During the conversation, Snoop recalled being shot at while visiting New York. Despite this, he would later express an interest in working in New York artists after the incident. Snoop revealed that this angered Pac. “I went and did an interview and was asked how did I feel about Puffy and Biggie. I was like, ‘I like them n-ggas, I wanna do some music with ’em,’” he said. “And that just rubbed cuz the wrong way, like, ‘N-gga, fuck them n-ggas, them n-ggas tried to kill me. N-ggas shot at you, and you talking about you wanna do a song with them n-ggas?”

Snoop Dogg Angered Tupac By Wanting To Work With New York Artists

Furthermore, tension had already been growing between the East Coast and West Coast at the time. “Hit ‘Em Up” only made that tension worse. Subsequently, Snoop voiced his disapproval of the track. “Even when he played the video for me to ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ even when he played ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ the song, I didn’t like the song,” he said. “Like, you buying more problems, cuh. You buying problems. Gangstas is everywhere. They make ’em everywhere.”

Meanwhile, Snoop also spoke on his relationship with Pac in the weeks leading up to Pac’s death. Snoop revealed that the relationship with his Death Row Label mate was unpredictable and could change quickly.  “I’d say a week before he died, we was best of friends,” he said. “Two days before he died, I don’t think he liked me,” Tupac was killed in Las Vegas in September of 1996. Additionally, Notorious B.I.G. was murdered the following March. Subsequently, many have speculated that increasing hostility in hip-hop may have played a role in the two legends’ untimely deaths.

Tupac’s Alleged Killer Appeared In Redman & Released An Album

Nearly 30 years after the tragic death of Tupac, and new details surrounding his murder continue to emerge. In recent times, more news surrounding the accused killer, Orlando Anderson, surfaced. Keefe D, Anderson’s uncle, recently sat down for an interview with Vlad TV, where he detailed his nephew’s rap career. Keefe explained they appeared in Mel-Low’s “Blaze It Up” music video with Redman together after Mel’s team reached out to them for a low-rider.

The music video helped Keefe D and Redman develop a strong relationship. Throughout the years, Redman would touch down in Compton and immediately reach out to Keefe for weed. “So yeah, [Redman] used to pull up to that little spot, he used to get off the airplane, get in his taxi, pull up to my spot, ‘Keefe D. I need that bud!’ He was ghetto. I liked him,” Keefe explained.

Orlando Anderson’s Rap Album

Two years ago, an album recorded by Anderson began surfacing online, which shocked many who only knew him as a suspect in the ‘Pac case. Keefe said that Anderson started a recording company but he explained that he was in the feds around the time that the album was recorded. “I had went to the feds so I didn’t know what was going on [with the album]. I didn’t really talk on the phone once you get in the feds ’cause, you know how they do. But once they was doing that, I went to the feds,” he said.

Though Anderson maintained his innocence until his death in 1998, Keefe D has suggested otherwise. During an interview in 2018, he claimed to be in the backseat of the car the night Tupac was shot. Though he never ID’d the killer, he claimed to be “the only one alive” who knows what happened on the night the rapper died. Former Death Row security guard Reggie Wright Jr. said that Keefe D would be arrested in connection to the murder, though that never occurred. Check out Keefe D’s interview above and press play on Mel-Low’s “Blaze It Up” video ft. Redman. Orlando Anderson appears at the 1:41 mark.

Tupac’s Sister Called A Comparison To Donald Trump ‘Blasphemous’ Following His Attorney’s Comments

Donald Trump’s attorney Alina Habba apparently wanted her client to change his inner thug life (a motto of the late raper Tupac Shakur), but it didn’t quite work out in his favor.

Strangely, during Habba’s appearance on The Benny Show podcast, she likened the former president to hip-hop titans Tupac and Biggie Smalls, seemingly because of his recent indictment and subsequent arrest. “Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump’s Biggie Smalls, he’s better than Tupac. I’m east coast, so I love Biggie,” Habba said.

Although both rap pioneers did know and have been photographed with Trump, Tupac’s sister Set Shakur isn’t here for the comparisons. In a statement shared with TMZ, Shakur flat out called Habba’s remarks “blasphemous.”

“My brother was measured by his integrity, his principles, and personal and collective responsibility,” said Shakur.

While the late rapper was found guilty of sexual assault in 1995, Shakur emphasized the difference between Trump and her brother is that “[Tupac] took accountability during his 1994 sexual abuse trial,” whereas, within Trump’s recent indictment, it is reported that in 2016 Trump tried to pay his accuser off with hush money.

Shakur later added that her brother’s time in prison wasn’t what made him popular. Instead, it was the fact that people “were able to measure him by his words and actions that aligned.”

Back in 1992, Tupac called out Trump for his greedy ways during an interview with MTV, saying, “If you want to be successful, if you want to be like Trump, gimme gimme gimme, push push push push. Step, step, step, crush, crush, crush. That’s how it all is, and it’s like… nobody ever stops.”

Even from the grave, the rapper was able to hit ’em up.

One Of Trump’s Wacky Lawyers Actually Thinks His Indictment Will Make Him An Iconic Figure Like Tupac And Biggie

Donald Trump’s recent indictment has everyone talking. While most are elated that he’s finally getting his just desserts, some delusional Trumpers think this will only make him more appealing during election season. Some are even likening him to two rap legends.

In a clip from right-wing podcast The Benny Show, Donald Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba spoke to host Benny Johnson, saying that Trump’s indictment and impending arrest put him up there with some of hip-hop’s most revered acts.

“Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump’s Biggie Smalls, he’s better than Tupac. I’m east coast, so I love Biggie,” she said. “Donald Trump is his own brand. He is everything. This is just gonna boost him, we’ve seen it in the polls. It’s not a question, it’s a fact.”

Last Thursday (March 30), Trump was indicted for paying hush money to Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged affair. He is expected to be arrested today (April 4).

All the while, several have shared images of themselves celebrating Trump’s arrest, including one group of people who flipped off Trump Tower in a photo shared to Twitter.

Several reporters have been waiting outside of the New York City criminal courthouse, waiting to watch Trump’s arrest in real-time.

In the meantime, you can watch the clip from The Benny Show above (if you must).

Tupac’s Sister Blasts Trump’s Attorney For Comparing The Two

Donald Trump’s attorney’s recent comments about the former president being like Tupac and Biggie caught some heat from the late rapper’s sister. Moreover, attorney Alina Habbais claimed that these recent “false” claims bolster the reality TV star’s brand. “Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump is Biggie Smalls,” Habbais told Benny Johnson. “But no, Donald Trump is his own brand. He is everything. This is just going to boost him. We have seen it in the polls. This is not a question. This is a fact.”

Of course, these comparisons elicited strong reactions online, from both hardcore hip-hop fans and political commentators alike. When comparing the two, Set Shakur said that there’s very little overlap between her late brother and the indicted political figure. “My brother was measured by his integrity, his principles and personal and collective responsibility,” she remarked to TMZ. Not only that, she called Habbais’ assessment “blasphemous.” While the West Coast legend took responsibility for his 1994 assault case, she went on, she’s not seeing the same level of accountability in Trump. In response to the attorney’s claims about exposure, Set remarked that Tupac’s popularity didn’t stem form his controversies, but rather the power of his music.

Trump & Tupac Cannot Compare, Set Shakur Remarks

Furthermore, Habbais made these statements about Tupac just as Trump landed in New York to face charges of fraud and the results of other investigations. While people expect him to turn himself in on Tuesday (April 4), anything could happen in this highly publicized and politically divisive case. On one hand, these investigations sought to hold Trump accountable for hush money sent to porn star Stormy Daniels and other things like tax evasion and further counts of fraud. On the other, his supporters believe this is a rigged and witch-hunt-style takedown of the business mogul.

Given his presidential run for 2024 and his complete denial of any wrongdoing, this should make for an interesting development in this election cycle. However, it’s clear that Habbais’ words incited and provoked conversation rather than speaking to the rapper’s fanbase. With that in mind, public favor amid the Republican Party, and especially amid his detractors, will likely turn even more against the 76-year-old in the coming weeks. Hopefully justice is served. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Donald Trump and Tupac.

Donald Trump’s Attorney Compares Him To Tupac & Biggie

Things aren’t looking great for Donald Trump these days. The former president of the United States faces several investigations but only recently did allegations of fraud manifest into an actual indictment. He’s expected to turn himself in on Tuesday for his arraignment on charges reportedly related to fraud. The investigation surrounds the alleged hush money he paid adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of his presidential campaign. However, he and his allies feel like this is an attack orchestrated by the Democrats.

The former president already left Florida to head back to New York City for his arraignment on Tuesday. Though he won’t be put in cuffs, he’ll have to be photographed and fingerprinted. Moreover, the grand jury will ultimately reveal what laws he broke. However, a few publications have asked the judge to make the indictment public. According to reports, Trump is facing roughly 30 charges including at least one felony related to the Stormy Daniels controversy.

Donald Trump Is Tupac & Biggie, His Attorney Argues

Trump’s attorney Alina Habbais recently sat down with Benny Johnson on The Benny Show where she made one of the weirdest comparisons of his political career. While discussing the arraignment, Johnson pointed out how some politicians and pundits have said Trump would become a figure like Johnny Cash or Tupac. “Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump is Biggie Smalls,” Habbais said. “But no, Donald Trump is his own brand. He is everything. This is just going to boost him. We have seen it in the polls. This is not a question. This is a fact.”

Habbais encouraged members of the GOP to get behind Trump ahead of his upcoming bid for president instead of running against him. Though there’s been a huge divide within the Republican party, Trump will have a few supporters in NYC tomorrow including Marjorie Taylor Greene, who said she’d be protesting the indictment. Furthermore, on Truth Social, Trump said that he wouldn’t be able to get a fair trial. “The Corrupt D.A. has no case,” he said via Truth Social. “What he does have is a venue where it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a Fair Trial (it must be changed!), and a Trump Hating Judge, hand selected by the Soros backed D.A. (he must be changed!” We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates.
