Young Greatness: Jury Convicts Man Of Rapper’s Murder

A jury in New Orleans handed down a guilty verdict in the murder of Theodore Jones, better known as rapper Young Greatness

The court found 43-year-old Donald Reaux guilty of second-degree murder after the shooting of Young Greatness. The jury deliberated for eight hours before handing over their verdict.

During the three-day trial, prosecutors argued that Reaux intended on robbing the rapper of cannabis but used two teenagers to set up Jones. They said Reaux gave the two teenagers, Lovance Wix and Donny Maxwell, handguns and informed them to wait behind a dumpster at a Waffle House. Prosecutors claimed Reaux wanted to meet Young Greatness inside of the restaurant.

From there, Wix and Maxwell approached Greatness as he entered his car and shot him in the back. Jones managed to leave the vehicle but died in the parking lot shortly after.

Maxwell admitted that he fired the bullet that killed Greatness, though Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Strauss said the blood was on Reaux’s hands. “It’s that man’s fault,” she told the court, per NOLA.com.

Ultimately, security footage captured Reaux leaving in a vehicle with his girlfriend that trailed behind Wix and Maxwell.

Reaux was also found guilty of obstruction of justice, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Additionally, the jury convicted him of conspiracy to obstruct justice, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Reaux will return to court on Feb. 8th for his sentencing. Judge Camille Buras will hand down a mandatory life sentence.

Wix previously pleaded guilty to his crimes, including armed robbery and discharging a firearm during a violent crime. A judge sentenced him to 20 years. Meanwhile, Maxwell’s sentencing date is scheduled for Jan. 31st. He also pleaded guilty to his crimes.

Hurricane Chris Gets Break In Shooting Trial Thanks To Forensics Expert

Hurricane Chris just caught an early break for his upcoming shooting trial thanks to some help from a forensics expert. Moreover, his legal team recently spoke to The Shade Room to maintain that the rapper’s actions were in self-defense. According to the 33-year-old’s lawyers, they will prove his innocence at his upcoming argument and hearing on February 1st.

For those unaware, authorities arrested Hurricane Chris after he shot and killed a man who tried to steal his car. In fact, the car wasn’t his, which added a charge of stolen possession of a 2016 Mercedes Sedan to Chris’s list. Moreover, the incident occurred outside of a convenience store in his home city of Shreveport, Louisiana. While Chris argued self-defense, officers dismissed such claims after reviewing gas station security footage.

Moreover, the “A Bay Bay” MC’s main trial will being on February 13th. After a court hearing last Wednesday (January 18), his lawyer Alex Washington shared updates with The Shade Room. According to said report, a judge allowed a forensic analysis expert to testify on the artist’s behalf and support claims of self-defense.

“Hurricane Chris’ actions were in self-defense and justified,” the lawyer stated. “Today, the court ruled to allow our Forensic analysis expert to testify at trial.

“He will allow the second expert to testify once we provide a written report to the State,” Washington continued. “Both experts will assist in proving that Hurricane Chris actions were reasonable and justified. The February 1 date will clear up any small issues.”

Meanwhile, the Shreveport native posted a $500,000 bond just two days after his incarceration. Since posting a video shortly after, he stood by his innocence.

“Hello world, hello world, hello world,” he said in the clip. “I’m sure you got the news by now. I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning, a very unfortunate incident. I wanna thank everybody who’s been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who’s been praying for my family.

“After a good, thorough investigation, my name will be cleared. Let God work, watch God work. God bless. Thank you.”

Still, what do you think of Hurricane Chris and his trial being assisted by a forensics expert? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on Hurricane Chris’s case.

Tory Lanez Reportedly Feels Regret For Not Testifying In Megan Thee Stallion Trial

Just last month, Tory Lanez was found guilty on all three counts in his Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. Lanez was being tried for felony assault as well as two gun-related charges. Overall, it was an emotional case as Meg took the stand and recounted her story. Additionally, there was a lot of public interest considering the parties involved.

Since that time, some have rushed to Tory Lanez’s defense claiming that he truly is innocent and that the jury got it wrong. However, Lanez is still facing over 20 years in prison and he could even face deportation to Canada. Ultimately, that’s why the artist plans to appeal the case with his new lawyer, David Kenner.

Tory Lanez Has Regrets

According to a new story from Rolling Stone, Lanez feels very regretful about how he went about his initial trial. Mostly, he just wishes he had actually testified in court. As many already know, Lanez was directed not to speak during the trial, and he ultimately took that advice.

Now, it seems as though Tory feels like his first lawyer George Mgdesyan gave him poor advice. Consequently, this led to the lawyer being taken off the case. Mgdesyan has since defended his departure from the case noting that he doesn’t do appeals.

Moving forward, Lanez is set to receive his sentencing on February 28th. From there, his legal team can start the appeals process, and go from there. However, there are no guarantees that he can get this conviction overturned.

This is a developing story so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates. Additionally, let us know what you think about this revelation, in the comments below.

6ix9ine Trolls Gunna In Latest IG Post

6ix9ine called out Gunna in the comments on his latest post on Instagram, Tuesday night. It is Gunna’s first upload since taking a plea deal in the RICO case against Young Thug and the rest of YSL.

“N****s acting like they switching to a side But it’s only one side,” Gunna captioned a photo of himself sitting next to a home studio set-up. “#YslTheLabel #FreeThug&Yak GUNNA BACC!!!!!”

In response, 6ix9ine criticized Gunna for referring to YSL as a “label” after admitting to it being a “gang” as part of his guilty plea.

6ix9ine commented: “In court you said it was a gang here on IG u saying the label. Lol u can’t make this shit up.”

Gunna has been out of jail since accepting the plea deal, last month. While he won’t serve any more time in prison, he will have to commit to 500 hours of community service.

Tuesday isn’t the first time that 6ix9ine has criticized Gunna in recent months. In December, he alleged that the YSL rapper incriminated Young Thug in his plea deal.

“Just stfu and listen I know ya don’t wanna accept it,” he wrote online at the time. “Your man is fighting for his life in court on a gang RICO. Judge: You are aware YSL is a gang correct. Fatass gunna: Yes ma’am. Judge: ONLYYYYY you and Jeffrey are in the car and the police find a handgun and drugs. This didn’t belong to you correct? Fatass gunna: Yes ma’am.”

As for Young Thug’s case, the jury selection process began this week.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Injured Foot Shown In New Graphic Photos

TMZ has published new photos showing the damage done to Megan Thee Stallion’s foot during the night Tory Lanez shot her. The graphic photos were presented as exhibits in the trial for the Toronto rapper. Other photos show the bloody SUV from the scene of the crime.

In photos of the vehicle, a blood-stained suitcase as well as the pistol Lanez used to shoot Megan are visible. There are also X-rays of Megan’s foot from when she was hospitalized.

As for the injuries to Megan’s foot, Dr. Lee Haruno, chief resident in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s orthopedic surgery department, testified as to their extent during the trial.

“When foreign bodies are that small, it often causes more harm to try to remove them,” Haruno told the court, adding that small fragments still remain in Megan’s feet today.

The jury found Lanez guilty of carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, assault with a semiautomatic handgun, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. The rapper intends to appeal to ruling and has hired Suge Knight’s former lawyer, David Kenner, to help him do so.

Despite the ruling, many in the hip-hop community have continued to back Tory Lanez. Soulja Boy took issue with this during a Livestream on Instagram, earlier this week.

“Yall n****s out here shooting bitches and ain’t nobody gone say nothing? I’m the only n***a in the whole rap game that’s gonna say something? Ok, cool,” he said online.

Lanez is currently facing up to 22 years behind bars. His sentencing is scheduled for January 27.

From there, he went on to attack Tory Lanez specifically for the incident.

“Well, Tory Lanez you a bitch. You a bitch n***a on me,” he continued. “Yall watched this n***a shoot this bitch and everybody said, ‘He aint do it.’ Man, fuck yall lame ass n****s.”

In another video, Soulja further went at Lanez, threatening him physically.

“You want to shoot bitches in the feet n***a? Yous a pussy n***a,” Soulja Boy said in the clip. “And when you get from jail n***a you know where I’m at. You got a problem n***a I’ll beat your bitch ass n***a. Don’t never rap over none of my beats, don’t never freestyle over none of my beats. You trash n***a. Your music trash.”

A grand jury found Lanez to be guilty of all three charges leveled against him regarding the 2020 shooting of Megan. All-in-all, he was hit with felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

Lanez faces up to 22 years in prison as he awaits sentencing. Before then, he’s reportedly hired Suge Knight’s former lawyer, David Kenner.

Ron Jeremy Won’t Stand Trial For Rape Due To “Severe Dementia”

Former porn star Ron Jeremy won’t stand trial for his over 30 counts of rape due to his “severe dementia.” According to The Los Angeles Times, the court will declare Jeremy incompetent. If so, he will spend his days at a state-run hospital.

The outlet says they obtained an email from L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson citing mental health experts to determine his condition.

“As a result of the agreement of the experts, the defendant will be declared incompetent to stand trial … his prognosis for improvement is not good,” Thompson wrote.

“If he does not improve, we will not be able to try him for his crimes,” he continued. “Because criminal proceedings are suspended as long as he is incompetent, we also cannot get a guilty plea from him or discuss other measures to get justice for the victims in this case.”

While he is unfit for now, if his condition improves, Jeremy can still stand trial at a later date.

Lianne Young, one of Jeremy’s accusers, says that she felt “numb” over the decision.

“It’s going to come down to public opinion now, and public opinion has looked at Ron like a god,” Young said. “It could be an indication to other predators or viewers of pornography that they can get away with such crimes.”

A jury indicted Ron Jeremy on more than 30 counts of sexual assault back in August 2021. The alleged incidents date back to 1996. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and maintained his innocence in the time since.

Tory Lanez Hires Suge Knight’s Former Lawyer

Tory Lanez has reportedly fired his attorney and hired Suge Knight’s former lawyer. Lanez was found guilty of three felony assault charges for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

The news comes from legal reporter Meghann Cuniff. Cuniff has been covering the trial of the State of California vs Daystar Peterson (Tory Lanez).

“Regarding Tory Lanez’s Tuesday court date, yes, there is a date listed on the jail roster,” Cuniff wrote on Twitter. “It’s not on Judge Herriford’s calendar, and he’s got a bunch of other stuff at the time. Attorney David Kenner confirmed to me last week he’s now representing Tory.”

Cuniff further continued: “Kenner is a longtime criminal defense attorney whose clients include former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight. Anyone with actual experience in criminal law (not all lawyers) will tell you he’s joining the case a bit late: Before trial would have been better.”

She added that it’s unclear what the new court date is pertaining to. Los Angeles Superior Court doesn’t make court documents available to the public. As for what could be happening, she shared a few clues in a follow-up tweet.

“Some clues about what’s going on: Prosecutors tried to add a bribery count to Tory’s charges during trial, which the judge rejected,” Cuniff wrote. “Any post-conviction motion from David Kenner regarding false evidence or witness testimony is very unlikely to come this quick.”

As for what Lanez was convicted of, he was found guilty of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

Waka Flocka Flame Addresses Gunna, Young Thug & Snitching Allegations

Waka Flocka recently addressed the upcoming trial for Young Thug and other members of YSL while speaking with Shannon Sharpe. Appearing on his podcast, Club Shay Shay, Waka said that he’s praying for the best for the artists.

“God bless their situation and I hope they learned from it and I pray they become bigger & better people,” Wake said when asked about the situation.

Waka also labeled Young Thug one of the hardest-working artists he knows.

Gunna has denied that his plea deal came as a result of snitching on his associates. Additionally, his attorney has said that the rapper will not testify against Thug or anyone else in YSL.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna said in a statement.

Elsewhere in the interview, Waka reflected on the death of Takeoff. The Migos rapper was shot and killed in Houston, back in November during a dice game.

“I can’t tell you why, and I never want to speak on nobody’s death, but I could tell you this: when God blesses you, you have to change your ways, you have to evolve — you have to,” he said. “I could just say wrong place, wrong time for these guys.”

Young Thug’s Dad Says His Son Shoudn’t Take A Plea Deal

Young Thug’s Dad, Jeffery Williams Sr., professed his son’s innocence in a new interview, stating that the rapper shouldn’t take a plea deal. Speaking with Infamous Sylvia on Friday, Williams Sr. addressed Thug’s upcoming case.

“I can’t answer that because I’m not him,” Williams, Sr. responded to Sylvia’s questions about a potential plea deal. “I’m his father. My son is not guilty of a lot of things that these people [prosecutors] probably sayin’ about him.”

He continued: “As a father, if they came to him with a plea deal and he left it up to me to give him the advice. I would tell him, ‘No.’”

Williams Sr. added that prosecutors would not offer Thug a plea deal if they had a strong case against him.

“A plea is a let out,” he added.

Thug’s father’s interview comes in the wake of several YSL members taking plea deals. Gunna was released from prison, earlier this month, after agreeing to enter a guilty plea. His attorney, Steve Sadow, has stated that he doesn’t intend to testify against Thug or any other members of YSL. He’s also reaffirmed that Gunna did not snitch to get offered the plea deal.

Williams Sr. also says that he plans on being present in the courtroom throughout the trial.

“I’m a parent. I’m a father,” he stated, before adding “I’m not that daddy who just there. Right now, it’s me and him against the world.”

Young Thug’s trial will begin on January 9, 2023. He faces several gang related charges among other various felonies.
