Kendrick Lamar is riding high right now. The rapper’s album, GNX has received glowing reviews from fans and critics. He currently occupies seven of the top 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100. “Squabble Up” is the rapper’s third number one single of 2024, and and fifth overall. He’s currently gearing up for a new tour with SZA, Grand National, which is slated to cover most of the major cities in North America. Lamar decided to add some new tour dates, however, and the locations turned a few heads.
Kendrick Lamar added two new dates to his upcoming Grand National tour. One of these dates is in L.A., which makes complete sense. GNX is the most California-centric release of Lamar’s career, so it would only be fair to give hometown fans another chance to see him. The other date, however will be in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. We do not need to rehash the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud, as it has dominated most hip hop conversations this year. It’s also helped to fuel two of Lamar’s aforementioned number one singles.
Lamar and SZA were originally slated to perform in Toronto on June 12 only. The duo will now put on an encore performance June 13. As fans have been quick to point out, these dates are right before Father’s Day, which has been interpreted as another dig against Drake’s allegedly bad parenting. There’s little to support this theory. That said, the locations of these additional dates do feel intentional. Kendrick Lamar is nothing if not purposeful with his actions. It’s hard to imagine he added dates to his hometown and his rival’s hometown without realizing it would come off as a subtle flex.
Kendrick Lamar and Drake may no longer be dissing each other, but the feud is very much still alive. The latter has decided to sue his and Lamar’s label, UMG, for allegedly using bots to boost Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” He believes the label is in cahoots with Spotify to downplay his music and promote Lamar’s. K. Dot has not commented on these allegations. He has, however, continued to put up massive numbers with his new album.
“All I ever wanted was a black Grand National/ Fuck being rational, give ’em what they ask for,” Kendrick Lamar raps “tv off” from his new album, GNX. Arriving with little to no announcement, the “Not Like Us” rapper’s highly anticipated sixth studio album has easily met and even surpassed our expectations for his follow-up to Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Equipped with plenty of West Coast bounce, and a pair of cameos from SZA, Kendrick went above and beyond with GNX.
It’s not surprising, especially since he’s a little over two months away from his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime performance in New Orleans. While there is speculation surrounding a follow-up album, it has yet to be confirmed by Kendrick himself. However, he will be hitting the road after the Super Bowl for the Grand National Tour, alongside SZA. The Compton rapper will be hitting a series of stadiums–not arenas–across North America, including a stop in Toronto, the hometown of his archnemesis. With tickets set to go on sale this week, here’s everything you need to know about Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National tour.
Tickets for the “Grand National Tour” will be available through an exclusive presale for Cash App Visa Cardholders starting Wednesday, December 4th at 10 AM local time and running through Thursday, December 5th at 10 PM local time. To access the presale, customers can use the first nine digits of their Cash App Card and complete their purchase using the same card. General tickets will go on sale starting Friday, December 6th at 10 AM local time on grandnationaltour.com. Cash App Card users can also score a 20% discount on official tour merchandise purchased on-site during the tour.
Who Will Be Opening For Kendrick Lamar?
SZA will be joining Kendrick Lamar on the forthcoming Grand National tour. SZA appears twice on Kendrick’s new album on the songs, “luther,” which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, and “gloria.” Although it’s been nearly two years since the release of S.O.S., the Grand National tour might be an indication that she has a new album coming soon. In fact, there is a good chance that she could be sliding through before the end of the year with a new project. Lanaperhaps? During her appearance on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2, she confirmed that her next album would be released by the end of 2024.
As usual, Kendrick keeps a tight ship, thus making it practically impossible to predict what he might have up his sleeve on the upcoming tour. The Big Steppers tour was a highly theatrical outing that saw Kendrick and Baby Keem perform globally. The tour also earned a total revenue of $111 million across 73 shows. It became the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all time. However, it was later dethroned by Drake and then, Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour.

Drake has finally announced the tour dates for his Australia and New Zealand trek in early 2025, which he dubbed the “Anita Max Win” tour. If you don’t know what or who that is, then we recommend you do some digging into the viral streaming clips that have surfaced over the years featuring The Boy, as this is his gambling-loving, Kick-streaming “alter ego” of sorts. He will touch down in Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena on February 9 and 10), Sydney (Qudos Bank Arena on February 16 and 17), and Brisbane (Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 24) before wrapping things up with two Auckland shows at the Spark Arena on February 28 and March 1.
Furthermore, this will be Drake’s first visit to the region since 2017 and tickets for it will go on presale starting Tuesday (December 3), with the general sale beginning on Friday (December 6) at 12PM local time. He performed a lot over the past few years as part of his It’s All A Blur trek, so he’s going to have the energy and muscle memory to really impress. We wonder if the Toronto superstar will just run through his hits or if he will also play material from his collab album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which is hopefully out by then.
Of course, the irony behind Drake’s “Anita Max Win” tour is not lost on fans. It stars on February 9, which is the same day as Super Bowl LIX and its Kendrick Lamar-led halftime show. We wonder how much of this is due to coincidence and how much of it is by design, because it’s impossible not to make that connection.
But their beef just took a wild direction and might involve a courtroom – or at least, something that sprouted from the battle and not the showdown itself. Drake’s legal petition against Universal Music Group and Spotify could be a massive moment of change in the music industry. Maybe nothing comes of it, which would render this move as one of the worst optical decisions in hip-hop history. Either way, it probably won’t make the “Anita Max Win” tour any less of a success.
Denzel Curry has some major plans for 2025: Today (November 18), he announced the Mischievous South Tour.
The shows span from February to July and will be everywhere from Australia to North America to Europe. Curry will also be joined by Kenny Mason, 454, and Clip.

Drake has been quiet on the music front for the last few months. He dropped a Chino Pacas collab, but by and large, he has kept fans waiting on his anticipated joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. He’s also been hinting at an international tour in 2024. The rapper took to his Instagram Story on November 11 to bolster the rumor that he will be hitting stages throughout the world in the new year. How did he do it? Well, by looking backwards.
Drake posted a photo of himself looking out at the Sydney Opera House. The photo was taken in 2015, which was the last time the rapper performed in Sydney. “It’s been like 7 years,” he wrote. The math is a bit off, but the sentiment remains. Drizzy is seemingly headed down under for the first time in a decade. It’s not the first time the rapper has used IG to gauge interest in an international tour. He teased the “No One Likes Us” tour via some grainy photos of merchandise a few months. The authenticity has yet to be confirmed, but the text underneath the alleged title reads: “Euro 2024.”
The plan, if true, would align with the impending PARTYNEXTDOOR collab album. Drake hinted at a release date in the fall back in August. On November 7, the rapper took to Instagram to comment under a PND Instagram post. “THAT TIME,” he wrote, leading fans to believe that the album’s release date is right around the corner. If the album does indeed meet its fall release plan, then it makes sense that the 6 God would want to carry the momentum over to a world tour. Especially if the tour in question helps to erase some of the bruises that Drake took during the Kendrick Lamar battle.
It’s worth nothing that 2024 is almost over, though. Drake doesn’t have much time to announce tour dates, and he’s prone to pushing back the release dates for his albums. If the PARTYNEXTDOOR album gets delayed, or the planning for an international tour proves more complicated than initially planned, then fans may have to wait until 2025. The good news is that Drake seems eager to get back on the global stage. Hopefully he drops specific dates sooner than later.
It’s been a triumphant year in hip-hop, from receiving quality bodies of work from artists like ScHoolboy Q and Vince Staples to the Blockbuster battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake but it looks like the final quarter of the year will continue to keep up the momentum with Tyler, The Creator’s forthcoming album, CHROMAKOPIA due out on Monday, October 28th. Ditching traditional release dates may set the tone for artists moving forward to avoid the first-week sale debacle.
Tyler, The Creator is undoubtedly a visionary who is just as meticulous with producing each of his albums as his live performances. And if you saw him live during the Call Me If You Get Lost tour, then you know that his commitment to bringing his albums to life is bar none. Though we aren’t entirely aware of what’s to come on his upcoming project, he recently announced the CHROMAKOPIA tour for 2025–a trek that will take him and his latest across the globe with some excellent openers including Lil Yachty and Paris Texas. For those looking to cop tickets and see Tyler, The Creator live, here are all the details.
The CHROMAKOPIA tour is set to launch in early 2025, following the release of Tyler’s album on Monday, October 28th. This tour spans several months and will also see Tyler, The Creator performing in major cities across the globe. Furthermore, with stops in North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, fans worldwide will have a chance to catch him live.
Special Guests: Lil Yachty and Paris Texas Will Join the Fun
Tyler is certainly not going on this journey alone. In addition to the headliner, the tour will feature special performances by Lil Yachty, who has continued an impeccable run in 2024, and fellow Los Angeles natives, Paris Texas, who are riding high off of their 2023 album, Mid Air and released two singles this year. Each of Tyler’s tours have curated the opening acts amazingly, and the inclusion of Yachty and Paris Texas will undoubtedly produce one of the most exciting tours of the year.
Ticket Sales Begin November 1st
Tickets for CHROMAKOPIA: THE WORLD TOUR will be available to the general public starting Friday, November 1st, at 10 AM local time in each city. Fans eager to secure their spots should act fast and secure their spots when it goes live. You can purchase tickets here.
For those with an American Express card, there’s good news. Card Members will have the opportunity to access presale tickets for shows in North America, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and select European markets starting Tuesday, October 29th. Additionally, Amex Card Members will have exclusive access to limited-edition tour merchandise at select venues, making it an exciting perk for fans attending the shows.
The tour announcement comes days before the album drops and shortly after he unloaded two new singles off of the project including “NOID” and “St. Chroma.” However, the next few weeks are bound to be incredibly busy on Tyler’s end. Along with the album, he’s set to host a listening party the night before in Inglewood. Then, on November 16th and 17th, he’ll be hosting the annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles, which will mark his first live performance of new material.

It’s been a big year for both Killer Mike and Dave Chappelle. Now, they’ve announced that they’re teaming up for something exciting later this year. Earlier today, the rapper took to social media to unveil dates for their upcoming “Still Talkin That Sh*t” tour. “Took my N***a @davechappelle to the @blueflamelounge, after the good times he hugs me and says ‘We should go on tour!’ BOOM,” he captioned the post. It’s set to kick off in November with a show in Detroit. It will also feature stops in Atlanta, Rosemont, Boston, NYC, Oakland, and Long Beach.
The tour is billed as a “fusion of music and comedy across a joint set,” and will also feature Killer Mike’s Mighty Midnight Revival gospel group. Brooklyn Vegan reports that all shows will be phone-free, and will require attendees to store their electronic devices in Yondr pouches. Tickets go on sale this Friday (October 25).
This isn’t the first time Killer Mike and Dave Chappelle have collaborated, however. The comedian is featured on Killer Mike’s track “Run” alongside Young Thug, which appears on his Grammy-winning album Michael. Killer Mike also appeared on Chappelle’s Show back in 2008.
The announcement comes shortly after Chappelle inducted A Tribe Called Quest into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He delivered a touching speech in which he reflected on how the group helped him during his hiatus from Hollywood. “Years ago, in a tough time in my life, I read a Chinese proverb that changed my life. And the proverb said that the best meal you can cook is made with ingredients that you already have,” he explained. “And this proverb reminds me of hip-hop, and this proverb reminds me, in particular, of Tribe because Tribe was born out of friendship.” What do you think of Killer Mike and Dave Chappelle announcing a co-headlining tour? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
Dave Chappelle has long maintained an active connection to the music world, ever since he made musical guests a highlight of Chappelle’s Show. Now he’s preparing to make the center of the Chappelle/music Venn diagram even larger: Today (October 23), he and Killer Mike announced Still Talkin That Sh*t!, a joint tour.
A press release describes the show as “featuring a fusion of music and comedy across a joint set.” Currently, seven shows are scheduled, in Detroit; Atlanta; Rosemont, Illinois; Boston; New York; Oakland; and Long Beach. Tickets will be on sale starting October 25 at noon local time via Ticketmaster.
This comes after Mike teamed up with Chappelle (and Young Thug) in 2022 on the single “Run.” In an interview, he said of the comedian, “I went to one of his shows, and afterward all the comedians were hanging out. Everyone was telling funny stories, and the next thing you know, Dave is like, ‘Mike, you need to run for governor.’ I was like, ‘We got somebody running for governor already,’ and he just gives me this monologue backstage. […] I laughed like sh*t and I called him after we had done this record. I was like, ‘Yo, would you mind repeating that same speech you gave me?’ […] He sent it back to me, and it was as good as the night he cussed my ass out and told me to run for governor.”
