Last month, Carter was unfortunately the victim of a home invasion. She shared with her followers that her boyfriend, Armon Warren, was home at the time and failed to check on her after the incident. “When I see so many females bashing me because I go on Instagram and Twitter and I’m filled with emotions, and everybody does it, our generation we grew up on that…but I can’t do it cause I’m Reginae Carter…and if I do it I’m bashing somebody,” she explained in an emotional video. “That’s not the case. I love very hard and I’m very genuine and something really big happened to me and the person who I love did not check on me, but he made a YouTube video, so yes I do feel like that’s a little clout chasing.”

YK Osiris took the opportunity to make a move on Reginae, writing, “Awwww I knew I would be the one,” on an post about the breakup. He reportedly later threatened Warren, telling him “Don’t ever bring your bitcha*s in my DM I’ll slap the shit out of you n-gga that’s on my son especially wen I don’t know you.”

Young Thug & Jacquees Dropped A Classic With “Beautiful Thugger Girls” Ballad “For Y’all”

Unfortunately, Young Thug is currently locked up and hasn’t been able to produce music in a while. However, he could be dropping something in five days now as numerous artists have teased “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.” No one knows whether or not this is a project or a song, however, people are excited regardless. That said, a lot of fans are feeling kind of nostalgic as it pertains to Thugger. That is why we have decided to celebrate the six-year anniversary of Beautiful Thugger Girls.

For those who may not know, this is Young Thug’s highly-beloved country album. Overall, many were shocked when Thug said that he would be dropping a country project. However, it did not disappoint. While we could have certainly highlighted the intro track “Family Don’t Matter,” that would have been boring. Instead, we have decided to bring you the penultimate track “For Y’all” which features Jacquees.

Young Thug Had A Hit With His Country Album

This is a ballad in a sense, however, it is also a celebratory track. There are some gorgeous horns that fill the room with sound. Moreover, Jacquees delivers a stunning vocal performance. Meanwhile, Young Thug does his thing as well. Throughout the song, both of these artists do a tremendous job of building chemistry. Additionally, you can’t help but feel as though this is the climax of the album, with the final song “Take Care” acting as the perfect denouement.

For many, this is actually Young Thug at his very best. Experimental yet oddly familiar. While he may have other projects that appeal solely to the rap crowd, this was a crossover album that deserves its respect. Tell us your favorite songs off of Beautiful Thugger Girls, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Quotable Lyrics:

Creepin’, man stop, never get over me (woah)

Drake Introduced Himself To Many With “Over”

At this point, Drake is one of the biggest superstars that the music world has ever seen. Overall, some will say that he is the greatest rapper ever. Others will simply put him in their top 10 and top fives. Regardless of how you feel, there is no doubt that he has some massive records and some even bigger albums. However, in order to get to where he is now, he had to have started somewhere. Of course, plenty of fans remember his So Far Gone mixtape from 2009.

Although, one of his best introductions to a lot of music listeners was 2010s Thank Me Later. In fact, Thank Me Later turned 13 years old today. Drake’s debut album came out on June 15th and it was a huge hit with plenty of great tracks. Throughout this project, Drake was able to show fans that he can rap and sing, all at the same time. Ultimately, this album would lay the groundwork for his subsequent projects. Furthermore, one of the standouts on the album is none other than “Over.”

Drake Had A Classic With “Thank Me Later”

This is a track that fans can immediately recognize thanks to the hook at the beginning. It is an anthemic track that for some, may sound dated due to the production. However, you can’t listen to a song like this without getting nostalgia for a time when LeBron James was in a Miami Heat jersey and music listeners were finding out who Nicki Minaj is. Overall, it is a product of its time, but a great one at that.

Since that time, Drake has certainly come a long way musically. He has been evolving as an artist and he is still exploring new sounds. Only time will tell what he brings us on his next effort. Let us know your favorite track from Thank Me Later, in the comments section below.

Quotable Lyrics:

I really can’t see the end getting any closer
But I’ll probably still be the man when everything is over
So I’m riding through this city with my high-beams on
Can you see me? Can you see me? Get your Visine on

NLE Choppa released his Cottonwood 2 mixtape back in April. The project featured guests like Lil Wayne, Fivio Foreign, Kevin Gates, Polo G, and more. In the post, he contrasts a picture of the pair taken years ago when Choppa was just a kid and contrasts it with a recent image of the two to great results.

Fans rushed to the comments to shout out Choppa, the song, and the accompanying video. The caption of the post reads “How It Started Vs How It’s Going ‘COLD GAME’ VIDEO OUT NOW.” The video itself hasn’t even been out for a full day yet and already has over 100k views. “Cold Game” is the second song from the record to get a new video since it dropped. Just a few weeks ago Choppa dropped the video for “Champions” which has since been watched over 2 million times.

NLE Choppa and Rick Ross’ Throwback

Paak, and Kelly Rowland. Earlier this year NLE Choppa joined a wide-ranging cast of collaborators for the song “Angel Pt.1” from the Fast X soundtrack. SZA Gave Us A Classic Hit With “Drew Barrymore”

At this point in her career, SZA is a superstar who can hardly be rivaled. Overall, she has two incredible albums under her belt. Firstly, she came out with CTRL back in 2017. Over five years later, she returned by dropping S.O.S. Despite taking so much time between albums, the wait was actually very much worth it. She showed a ton of range and growth with this undertaking, and it was packed with hits. However, CTRL still holds a spot in a lot of people’s hearts as it came out during a lot of her fans’ formative years.

In fact, today marks the six-year anniversary of CTRL‘s release. It is hard to believe it has been that long since this album came out. However, time moves fast and this is an example of that. The project, which was released shortly after DAMN, remains a heavy-hitter in terms of singles. Of course, you have “Love Galore” with Travis Scott. Although perhaps the most powerful single was “Drew Barrymore,” which can be listened to below.

SZA Got Vulnerable With This Song

SZA delivered some gorgeous vocals on this song, as well as some sad and introspective lyrics. Although, the artist is pretty hard on herself on this track. However, that was very much the theme across the entire album. The artist reckons with past relationships and not feeling worthy enough. These are all some heavy themes, and SZA navigates them beautifully.

Let us know which song on CTRL is your favorite, in the comments section down below. Additionally, tell us which SZA album is your favorite. After all, both choices are pretty amazing. Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always bring you the biggest songs from the biggest artists.

Quotable Lyrics:

And she’s perfect and I hate it
Oh, so glad you made it
I’m so glad you could come back

Kanye West & Kid Cudi Gave Us Goosebumps On “Reborn”

Back in 2018, Kanye West stunned fans when he actually released five albums in a row, on time. Overall, these albums were all produced by him and were released every single week for five weeks straight. Firstly, we had Dayonta by Pusha T, and his own solo album Ye. The last two albums were from Nas and Teyana Taylor, although these projects were not received like the others. In the middle of all of this, he dropped a collaborative album with Kid Cudi called Kids See Ghosts.

Technically, Kids See Ghosts was also the name of their group. There were even rumors that these two were going to drop a second album together. However, their relationship has since been left fractured, thus making a second project a pipe dream. However, the seven-track effort was a huge hit. In fact, it is one of the few albums that Anthony Fantano has ever given a 10. Not to mention, fans just absolutely adore the soundscapes on this project.

Kanye West & Kid Cudi Are Kids See Ghosts

One song that really stands out on the song is “Reborn.” Overall, this is a song that speaks to the mental health issues that both Kanye West and Kid Cudi have gone through. The production on the track is simply beautiful, and these are some of Cudi’s best vocals to date. Not to mention, Ye delivers a spirited verse that could be considered one of his best of the post-Pablo era.

While it is unfortunate that we will never get another album from these two, at least we can still go back and listen to this. It was an amazing moment in time, and for many, going back to 2018 seems very ideal. Let us know what you think of this album, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

Quotable Lyrics:

Very rarely do you catch me out
Y’all done especially invited guest’d, me out
Y’all been tellin’ jokes that’s gon’ stress me out
Soon as I walk in, I’m like “Let’s be out”
I was off the chain, I was often drained
I was off the meds, I was called insane

Charles Hamilton Reflects On Cypher With Kanye West And The Game

Charles Hamilton recently appeared on The Blog Era podcast, where he revealed details of his 2009 cypher with Kanye West and The Game. He explained that after hearing Ye and The Game discussing cyphers, he suggested that they get one going. The 12-minute cypher was filmed by DJ Skee and later posted on SkeeTV.

“So yeah, I’m aware that Kanye is there and Game is there,” Hamilton begins the story. “Kanye West comes around the corner with this like, Melania Trump-looking chick and he talking his Kanye shit. I’m like, ‘Mr. West,’ and he like, ‘Ahh!’ And he said some shit. He’s reading a program, and it’s like a dress up event and he says, this gon’ be difficult to go to because I dress down when I dress up and I dress up when I dress down. So his girl does a Vanna White laugh.”

Hamilton Calls The Cypher “A Rare Exhibition”

He continued, explaining how the idea came up. “So The Game comes out and Kanye, and The Game start talking about how they were cyphering outside of Nike Town,” he shares. “I was like, ‘Yo, ya’ll want to get a cypher going right now?’” Hamilton went on to call the ordeal ”one of the rare exhibitions of [him] believing in [himself].” He added, “Props to me, but like, I believed in myself.”

It was recently confirmed that Ye had his accounts frozen by Adidas, following his accusations that over $75 million was frozen by the company. “I went from being a multi-billionaire to not even being able to use my Apple Pay four nights ago. I couldn’t use my Apple Pay because someone how Adidas was able to legally go in and freeze my money,” he claimed. Law360 unveiled court documents proving that the artist’s accusations were true. The Game recently poked fun at Lil Pump’s selfie in a cropped purple jacket, writing, “The rapture coming.” He also recently shared some sweet selfies with his 12-year-old daughter, California Dream.

Biggie Smalls’ Birthday: Stream “Get Money” Feat. Junior M.A.F.I.A. In Honour Of His Heavenly 51st

It’s been over 26 years since The Notorious B.I.G. – born Christopher Wallace – tragically lost his life in a 1997 Los Angeles shooting. He left behind two children and countless fans who all do their part to ensure his legacy still lives on today. While not everyone remembers the lyricist fondly, his songs have been known to transcend generations, some of them even going viral on platforms like TikTok. One such title is obviously “Get Money” with Junior M.A.F.I.A., which we’re streaming in celebration of what would’ve been Biggie Smalls’ 51st birthday today (May 21).

The catchy track chiefly finds the Brooklyn native popping off on the first verse, reflecting on a romance gone awry after his girl flipped on him. “Guess you could say you’s the one I trusted / Who would ever think that you would spread like mustard?” he cleverly rhymes. “Shit got hot: you sent Feds to my spot / Took me to court, tried to take all I got.”

Playboi Carti & Lil Uzi Vert Reaffirmed Their Chemistry On “Shoota”

Playboi Carti remains one of the biggest artists in hip-hop today. However, five years ago, no one knew how he was going to follow up his incredible run in 2017. Overall, this included songs like “Magnolia” and “Wokeuplikethis.” In the end, Carti was able to do it with a surprise album that dropped five years ago today. That album is none other than his hypnotic soundscape, Die Lit. This is still considered to be his best work which is impressive as Whole Lotta Red still very much exists.

There were plenty of fantastic tracks on this album. From the hypnotic opener “Long Time” to the follow-up “R.I.P,” Carti delivered some range and then some. However, it was the track with Lil Uzi Vert dubbed “Shoota” that truly encapsulated the 2018 sound. Overall, this is a song that fans loved right away. Of course, Uzi and Playboi Carti have a long history of collaborations, and this song only reaffirmed what fans already knew.

Playboi Carti & Lil Uzi Vert Did What They Had To Do

From Uzi’s opening verse to the crescendos in the beat that eventually lead to Carti’s verse, this song is iconic. Although this song definitely got hit with the meme treatment, it was a staple of most rap playlists. This song ultimately set the tone for the narratives around Carti. Subsequently, after Die Lit, all eyes were on Carti. With WLR, he made sure to show people that he wasn’t just a flash in the pan.

Hopefully, Carti and Uzi collaborate with one another again, very soon. Perhaps that collaborative album is real, after all. With this being the five-year anniversary of Die Lit, let us know your favorite track from the album, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from the music world. We will always keep you informed on new releases.

Quotable Lyrics:

Everybody rock with me because I’m up now
Took your girl and I’ma score like I made the touchdown

Used to want a G-Shock, now I’m walking with a bustdown
