Ja Rule Responds To People Saying He Paved The Way For Drake

When it comes to the fusion of R&B and hip-hop, Ja Rule is certainly an important part of that lineage. However, there is some debate as to the extent of his influence, and The Shade Room asked him whether he thinks he paved the way for Drake. Moreover, they discussed many aspects of his career and life, including his beef with 50 Cent and his views as a family man. At one point, the host said that “Ja Rule walked so Drake could run,” and asked the New York MC if he agreed.

Of course, he stood by the worth of his work and its impact, but he also said that musicians “borrow from each other” all the time. In addition, he noted prior ballads in hip-hop like “I Need Love” by LL Cool J, plus Method Man and Mary J. Blige’s “All I Need.” Still, Ja said he fused the genres more consistently and brought artists together more cohesively. “You didn’t really know who’s record it was [on a hip-hop duet],” he remarked of the duet format when he dabbled in it. “Like when you listen to ‘I’m Real,’ is that Ja Rule’s record or is it Jennifer’s record?”

Ja Rule TSR Interview: Drake, 50 Cent Beef, And Much More

Elsewhere in the interview, Ja Rule also discussed his long-standing feud with 50 Cent, who recently praised Drake, as well. However, Rule believes that the beef is much less serious these days and more about just posturing and social media trolling. The most recent example of this is their spat over Ja’s “Timberwolves Curse” that Fif vowed to lift. Also, there’s been a lot of trolling involving Rule’s participation in the failed Fyre Festival, although he won’t be around for its second iteration.

Also, he spoke on Nicki Minaj’s own influence and impact in the game, who shares a lot of that success with Drake. “I think Nicki gets proper praise,” Ja Rule expressed. “Her place in the game is solidified. It’s solid. There were no female MCs out and about until Nicki came back out. Before her, the last one was like Lauryn Hill. And before her was like Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, MC Lyte and before her it’s even further back. The female MC — they’re having a run like they’ve never had before. To me, in my opinion, Nicki reopened that door.” Regardless of your take on these topics, log back into HNHH for the latest on Ja Rule and Drake.

Ja Rule Praised Nicki Minaj For Her Career’s Longevity But Deliberately Shaded Every Other ‘Female MCs’ In The Process

Latto may have taken subliminal shots at Nicki Minaj during her set at Coachella, but the “Princess Diana (Remix)” rapper has received love elsewhere. During a sit-down interview with The Shade Room, “Clap Back” rapper Ja Rule had no problem giving his fellow Queens native her flowers.

When asked about his thoughts on the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” rapper’s impact on hip-hop, he made it clear that “Minaj’s place in hip-hop is [solidified].” However, he didn’t have a problem shading other ‘female MCs’ in the process.

“No female MCs out and about before Nicki came out. Before her, the last one was like, Lauryn Hill. And then before her, it was, like, Queen Latifah and Salt-N-Pepa and artists like this, MC Lyte,” said the rapper.

Rule doubled down on his statement, adding, “The female MCs they’re having a run like they’ve never had before, and to me, in my opinion, I would say Nicki re-opened that door.”

In the video’s comment section, fans called Ja Rule out for leaving out other women rappers like Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliott, Eve, and Trina, to name a few.

But Minaj’s fans came to his defense, writing, “She’s had an amazing career in rap that the other ladies don’t,” continuing, “That’s commendable and needs to be studied.”

Ja Rule Clarifies Relationship With 50 Cent

The beef between Ja Rule and 50 Cent has been going on for more than 20 years. The rappers have gone at each other’s throats in more ways than one. Sometimes, they dropped diss tracks. Other times, they straight up stabbed each other. As violent as their history is, the feud has certainly been a big source of entertainment for many that have followed it. In recent years, the pair seem to have become less serious about the once-violent beef. Now, it appears that Ja Rule is over it completely.

In a new interview with The Shade Room, Ja Rule tells the world how he really feels about 50 Cent. The rapper looks cool and collected as he is interviewed about his once archnemesis. “Is there a world where 50 Cent and Ja Rule call a truce?” the interviewer asks. Ja Rule clearly doesn’t take the question very seriously, choosing to poke fun at the situation. “If 50 Cent was to walk in here right now, what do you think is gonna happen?” he asks playfully. The interviewer responds, saying that she doesn’t really think anything would happen. This prompts an exaggerated reaction from Ja Rule. “Exactly!” he exclaims loudly. This is a very different tune than the two were singing just a few years ago.

Ja Rule and 50’s Beef Spans Decades

The long-standing feud between 50 Cent and Ja Rule is the stuff of legend. It has spanned over two decades, characterized by violence, insults, and trolling. It began with a robbery involving Ja Rule, where 50 Cent’s associate was responsible for stealing the rapper’s chain. This led to altercations at nightclubs and the exchange of diss tracks. Years later, when the two ended up sitting next to each other on a plane, it seemed there might be peace. However, the feud reignited in 2018 when 50 Cent pulled a prank by buying tickets and leaving empty seats at Ja Rule’s show.

Although the feud has taken a more lighthearted tone in recent years, mostly consisting of trolling and social media banter, it has a history of hostility and rivalry. It originated from the robbery and escalated into fights, diss tracks, and even a stabbing. Despite occasional attempts at reconciliation, the feud persists due to personal differences and competition between the two artists. 50 Cent has made it clear that he sees no end to the beef, keeping the feud alive in the public eye. It would seem that Ja Rule disagrees, however. What do you think about his comments on the current state of the feud? Let us know below!

Lil Durk Says India Royale Has Him “In A Headlock,” Defends Her From Twitter Trolls

Lil Durk and India Royale’s curious relationship continues to unfold on social media, as the rapper said she has him “in a headlock.” Moreover, he responded to trolls on Twitter criticizing Royale for her fame and status, debating whether she’s “famous” or just “known.” Furthermore, a lot of people went at her for only reaching the limelight as a rapper’s baby mama. However, that’s a title and rise to fame that the 28-year-old seemed to embrace and not let get to her head. As such, she brushed off the critics and clapped back at a few people on Twitter, which Durk backed up.

“I’m one of the ones who don’t care about y’all saying I got famous from being a rapper baby mama,” she tweeted. “I did, and what about it? It’s Miss Rapper Baby Mama to you.” Then, she kept responding to people either defending her or continually bashing her after her remarks. Still, one of her most vocal supporters was none other than Durkio himself, who took to the comments section of The Shade Room Teens covering these interactions to put some respect on her name… albeit by reaffirming how much he wants her back. “Y’all talking all that s**t lol she got this rapper in a headlock,” he wrote.

India Royale Has Lil Durk “In A Headlock,” He Shares

Interestingly, it’s not like the Chicago MC’s attempts to reconcile have resulted in nothing but scorn from his ex. After all, she defended Durk against YoungBoy recently, and even his baby mama and other rappers got roped into the conversation. Despite all that, their relationship status is still separated at the moment, although they’re on good enough terms to have a good time with their four-year-old daughter Willow together. Recently, The Voice even posted a lengthy and loving birthday message for his former flame, one that he wants to spark again.

“So I ain’t perfect but I’m for you and I love you,” he partly shared on his IG Story. “And I’m all ears when ever we get back in a relationship. You saved my life with you and willow and big sky outside all my kids you was there ripthang. This real s**t don’t attack her she definitely the best in the world trust me. I ain’t do her wrong I just keep her from the world. I love you having fun and we ain’t fighting I said not fight and I started one but I miss you that’s all. We ain’t no jokes we really that we can get the bag bag together without doing the most or copy cat what they did.” Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest on India Royale and Lil Durk.

Nick Cannon Calls Mariah Carey A “Gift From God”

It’s always curious and often heartwarming to hear this father of 12 talk about his controversial, yet clearly loving relationships. Recently, Nick Cannon called his ex wife Mariah Carey “a gift from God” during an interview with The Shade Room. In fact, it’s the same interview where he spoke about seeing a future with his other partners and his children. While they may seem like opposite statements, he’d probably gush about each of his six baby mamas the same if given the chance. Still, that first love was something special for him, which he spoke earnestly about.

Moreover, the interviewer asked about whether he still considers Carey the love of his life. “Like the greatest? I mean, I always talk about that,” the Wild ‘N Out alum began. “Then it goes viral and our fans get mad at me. But I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall and that becomes my wife. And the fact that she’s the coolest person I ever met.

Mariah Carey Is A Gift From God, Says Nick Cannon

“I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her,” he continued. “She’s just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what’s happening in life. I’m like, ‘Wow, a person can really operate like that and don’t allow negative energy into they space.’ When I found that out about how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She’s a gift from God.” Elsewhere in the interview, he also reflected on having a lot of people in his life that he wants to keep around. Also, he clarified that he doesn’t necessarily see exclusivity, as he loves all of his partners dearly and wants to help them with their children as well.

Meanwhile, he recently and comically responded to jabs that Jimmy Kimmel threw at him during the Oscars. To be fair, they were lighthearted jokes about the number of kids he has, so there wasn’t much reason to take things personally. After all, he’s known to make plenty of cheeky comments about it himself. If you’re interested in more from the Masked Singer host, check out the Shade Room interview here and our own conversation with him here. Nick Cannon Discusses His Future As A Baby Father: “How Could I Be Lonely?”

Nick Cannon spoke about his future as a baby father during a conversation with The Shade Room, which they recently teased. Moreover, the full episode and interview will be available on their YouTube channel on Friday (March 17) at 5pm EST. During that snippet, Cannon reflected on how he sees upcoming years with his six baby mamas and with his 12 children, although it’s a lot to consider. However, he seems quite excited and passionate about showing that love consistently. After all, his recent jokes and teases about his many children indicate a light-hearted but dedicated attitude.

Firstly, the interviewer asked him whether he sees a future with his BMs and a lifelong relationship with his children. “I love them,” he said about his partners. “They’re amazing!” Then, the interviewer asked whether he sees something long-term with just one of his flames. “Yeah, they’re the mothers of my children!” he said about staying in touch with them. However, he pushed back on exclusivity or playing favorites. “But that’s a disservice to the other ones. I’ll be over here! And if you wanna see me, I’ll be at the house. How could I be lonely, I got 12 kids!

Nick Cannon Addresses Future As A Baby Father

Also, the Wild N’ Out star recently responded to jokes that Jimmy Kimmel made about him at the Oscars concerning his… seed. Disney spent 2 billion dollars to make this movie. Just to break even, all of Nick Cannon’s children had to see Avatar four times,” the awards show host said. In typical Cannon fashion, he took it in stride. “Nah, it’s hilarious,” he told TMZ. “I created Wild N’ Out. I can hear jokes all day long. Kimmel’s my man.”

During our interview with him, he also spoke on the value of compassion, which surely drives him to maintain these positive and loving relationships with so many. “I think over the years, in even just my persona. I’ve spoken about it, even my ego can sometimes be like, ‘Oh, I just want to be a boss. I want to be a mogul, I want to do this.’ But really, I come from a place of empathy and compassion for so many. And specifically, my family and those I care for, I feel like I’ve been put on this planet to take care of. I just, I’m truly—I wake up each and every day grateful for life. Walking in gratitude. Trying just to practice compassion more and more every day.” Regardless of your take, log back into HNHH for the latest updates and news on Nick Cannon.

Chloe Bailey Clarifies Video Of Fans Throwing Things At Her On Stage

Chloe Bailey has responded to the viral clip of fans throwing objects at her on stage, explaining that they weren’t intending to do so maliciously. Commenting on a post of the video by The Shade Room, Bailey explained that “not everything is negative.”

“Wayment! Not people throwing things at #ChloeBailey while she was performing. Sis was definitely dodging ’em though!” The Shade Room wrote in the post’s caption. Bailey then commented: “lol the kids were trying to give me their light up wrist bands. they weren’t throwing things at me to be mean. it was a great show. not everything is negative.”

Bailey is currently on the road for her first headlining tour in the U.S. She announced the shows, last month. “I’m headlining my very own solo tour performing all the songs from the new album,” she wrote at the time. “Y’all I’m so excited. See you there.” The announcement came ahead of the release of her highly-anticipated debut studio album, In Pieces, which will be out later this month.

The latest online drama is far from the only controversy Chloe Bailey’s dealt with as of late. Many users on social media criticized the young singer in February when she collaborated with Chris Brown. The two worked together on Bailey’s new track titled “How Does It Feel.” Perhaps the most vocal among the critics was Cheetah Girls singer Kiely Williams. “Let him come out with his own record – so genius so captivating that it makes us all forget HE BEATS WOMEN. He can’t so we won’t. So what does he do?” Williams wrote on Twitter at the time. “He slowly creeps back into the mainstream by getting small nods for features on Black Women’s merit. Black women who are more talented, more worthy, but give him the okay.” Chris Brown later exchanged shots with Williams online.

50 Cent Has Settled His Penis Enlargement Lawsuit Against The Shade Room

The Shade Room has agreed to pay a settlement to 50 Cent rather than going to court in his lawsuit against the gossip blog, according to Complex via Los Angeles Magazine reporter Meghann Cuniff. Cuniff posted a copy of an email notice of settlement that was sent out confirming that 50 will continue to pursue his suit against the other defendants, which include plastic surgeon Angela Kogan and her Miami-based practice, Perfection Medical Spa.

50 filed suit in September 2022 after Kogan used a photo of the two of them together to promote penis enhancement surgery — the unwritten suggestion being that she’d performed said surgery on 50 himself. In August 2022, The Shade Room published a post listing 50 Cent as one of Kogan’s clients, which lends credence to 50’s complaint about the photo. A trial was set for July 3, 2023, but with The Shade Room removing the post and agreeing to a settlement after mediation, it appears 50’s beef is only with Kogan and her practice now — which is bad news for Kogan, considering how zealous he is pursuing his grievances.

After all, it’s not like 50 needs the money; just a week ago, he celebrated a new television production deal with Fox, which is on top of his Starz empire and the music he’s putting out later this year.

50 Cent Settles With The Shade Room In Penis Enlargement Lawsuit

50 Cent’s no stranger to lawsuits but he found himself in a legal battle last year over particularly odd claims. The television mogul became the focus of rumors that he underwent penis enlargement surgery by a celebrity aesthetician. Though the case initially targeted Angela Kogan and her business, the aesthetician said that The Shade Room was to blame for the story spreading across the Internet, leading to a lawsuit against the publication.

In the lawsuit, Fif claimed that he deserved an apology and damages for The Shade Room’s role in “exacerbating the penile implant saga.” The Shade Room shared a photo of Fif and Kogan, which further implied that he underwent the surgery. However, Kogan pointed at TSR for sharing the photo across their massive platform with 27.7M followers. The suit accuses TSR of “driving clicks and ad revenue at the expense of the truth.” Her attorney added that Kogan never “stated or implied that 50 Cent received plastic surgery services or penile enhancement surgery.”

50 Cent & TSR Settle Out Of Court

Though 50 Cent and Kogan will have to see each other in court, one aspect of the case has reportedly been settled. Per Los Angeles Magazine’s Megann Cuniff, The Shade Room and 50 Cent “reached an agreement to settle” “Jackson and TSR are in the process of executing their respective obligations pursuant to the agreement and will file a Notice of Dismissal with Prejudice of Defendant The Shade Room LLC shortly thereafter,” the court documents read.

This aspect of the case will have no impact on the other defendants involved. A judge scheduled the trial for July 3rd for the right-of-publicity suit against Angela Kogan and her company, Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa. “Yeah my dick is a BIG DEAL,” he wrote after the judge announced the trial date. “Set for trial in July no enhancement necessary, these fools put them selves out of business. SMH.” However, Fif reportedly moved his lawsuit with Perfection Plastic Surgery to mediation. Perhaps, this case will be settled outside of court before its scheduled trial date later this year. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates.
