It’s been a contentious weekend for Juice WRLD fans since his estate finally put out The Party Never Ends. It’s the supposed final album overall from the late and beloved Chicago multi-talent. With so much more in the vault, it’s sort of hard to definitively say that this third posthumous release will be the one to leave off on. As we said, the rapper and singer’s supporters are having incredibly mixed feelings on the final product. With that in mind, there’s a chance the act’s team may reconsider their previous statements about it being the last LP ever. Despite the harsh feedback from listeners and other hip-hop names, they are getting the stamp of approval for this one move.
That would be the fact that Juice WRLD’s reps were able to put together a collaboration with pop rock band, Fall Out Boy. Fans have said that this is something that both artists were wanting to do when Juice was still with us. Besides having a mutual respect and admiration for one another, Fall Out Boy is actually a Chicago-based band. Because of that, the fact that this now exists in some form now is special enough in the eyes of the fans. Patrick Stump, the lead singer for the band, and Juice even get to share the chorus in the waning moments. On the surface, this might be a random collab, but deep down, this one means a lot to quite a few people.
Darling, I was wondering if I can Put a yellow diamond ring on your left hand, uh Married to that money, he’s my best man You my lover, you my fighter, you my best friend And we in it ’til the world ends A understatement is me calling you my girlfriend
After fans criticized the cover of Juice WRLD’s last posthumous album, The Party Never Ends, last week, they continued to disparage the album upon its release on Friday. Passed away in 2019 at 21 years old, the third and final afterlife release has been dissected relentlessly online. While the late rapper’s devoted followers eagerly anticipated the release, the project has been met with criticism, with fans arguing it falls short of the high standards Juice WRLD set during his career. Fans blame the superstar’s team for the album’s concept and direction.
Fans expressed their distaste for the album on social media. One user tweeted, “The last ever juice WRLD album the fans will ever stay up for, meant to honor his legacy and how diverse his talent was. And they infest it with more dog posthumous features, mixing, and depressive tracks. The mainstream will never be able to see how good he really was.” Another tweeted, “How tf is this the album they’re gonna drop after waiting 3 extra years? It’s unbelievable that they picked these songs instead of all the bangers Juice WRLD made. It literally ruins his legacy because of all the hype that was built, just for them to drop the most mid-songs.”
JuiceWrld Fans Ain’t Feelin The Last Album, The Party Never Ends
The Party Never Ends follows the legend’s 2021 album Fighting Demons. With songs like “Already Dead,” “Burn,” and “Wandered To LA,” the album explored the Chicago native’s inner demons. As of December 2021, the album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, but at #1 on the Billboard Hip-Hop & R&B charts. Fighting Demons was Juice Wrld’s second #1 posthumous album of the three.
Born Jarad Higgins, Juice Wrld tragically passed in 2019 after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport. Emergency responders reported he was bleeding from the mouth upon arrival. The loss sent shockwaves throughout hip-hop. The one-of-a-kind recording artist left behind a legacy defined by vulnerability and raw emotion in his lyrics.
There’s some belief/hope that The Party Never Ends by Juice WRLD will not be the final album. However, his estate continues to affirm that it will be. With that said, this title may be a reflection that even though this could be the last hurrah, the rapper’s current discography and legacy will never end. But in that same breath, the reason we mentioned that there’s hope that more music is coming is because of the fanbase’s view on the tape. Some have been highly critical of its quality, with folks in this camp being of the mindset that this is not how Juice would have made this album.
Additionally, DJ Scheme shared similar feelings, especially in relation to multi-genre hitmaking producer benny blanco’s inclusion. He felt the promotion and overall execution were off. But still, there are some redeemable traits to the project. “Party By Myself” feels like early classic Juice with the sad guitar loops, slow tempo, all while he sounds distraught and lost. It checks all the boxes for fans of his who enjoyed his openness to talk about his own personal issues like addiction, loneliness, and anxiety. “Party By Myself” also hits due to its earworm melody and chorus. Overall, the plan to release The Party Never Ends is up for debate. But there are some replayable tracks, with “Party By Myself” being one.
I’m leanin’ like I’m using a needle Probably party by myself because I don’t fuck with people Marijuana with the pills, euphoric and cerebral I do it all to chase the thrill (Thrill) I know what I’m doing’s illegal But ain’t nothin’ else gon’ numb my pain like the pills and the reefer
Juice WRLD tragically passed away back in 2019 at the height of his popularity. Overall, Juice was known for his incredible freestyling ability. His ear for melodies propelled him to superstardom and he was quite adept at cranking out the hits. However, his posthumous releases have proven to be quite controversial. Much like XXXTentacion, some fans believe the Juice WRLD estate has been disrespectful with his legacy. The artwork for his new project The Party Never Ends is a prime example.
Despite the criticism of this endeavor, there are still a ton of fans out there who want to consume as much Juice WRLD music as humanly possible. One thing that fans always knew about the artist was that he was constantly in the studio. He could make dozens of songs in one session, and that means his vault is filled to the brim with tracks. With this new album, we get 18 Juice WRLD tracks that clock in at just under an hour. There are big features here, including from Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Fall Out Boy, and even Offset.
The public reactions to this new album will be interesting to see. Juice fans are very protective of him as a whole, and there is no telling if this project will be received in the same capacity as a Legends Never Die. We just hope that estates continue to treat artists with respect and use Mac Miller as an example of how things should be done.
The long-awaited final album from Juice WRLD, The Party Never Ends, is out now via Grade A Productions and Interscope Records. Featuring high-profile collaborations with Eminem, Fall Out Boy, Nicki Minaj, Offset, and The Kid LAROI and production from Benny Blanco, Nick Mira, and Cashmere Cat, the album celebrates the late rapper’s legacy as a once-in-a-generation artist.
Accompanying the release is a Steve Cannon-directed video for “Misfit,” a track that sees Juice turning outsider identity into triumphant self-expression. Cannon, a frequent Juice collaborator, delivers a visual tribute to fans finding solace in Juice’s music.
The Party Never Ends coincides with Juice WRLD Day 2024, happening Saturday, November 30, at Chicago’s United Center. The event will feature an exclusive listening experience, performances by Kodak Black, Lil Yachty, Polo G, and more, plus a Fortnite tournament hosted by Xbox.
The album dives deep into Juice WRLD’s colorful, complex psyche, offering fans a final, bittersweet connection to the beloved artist.
Juice WRLD will forever be one of the most impactful, beloved, and enduring musicians of the 2010s decade, a legacy that will transcend its temporal boundaries. Despite some bumps along the road since his tragic loss in 2019, it seems like his team is finally ready to leave his catalog in peace with one final posthumous album. The Party Never Ends drops on Friday, November 29, and we just got a new trailer for it featuring an old man in 2065 telling his grandchildren about the Chicago artist. It emphasizes how each of his albums have a different theme to them, and promises that this last one will be worth the wait.
After all, The Party Never Ends – as a concept for a posthumous Juice WRLD album – has been around for a long time. Sadly, despite all the hype for it and how disappointed some fans have been with how his team has handled his legacy since his death, none of those conflicting emotions could’ve prepared fans for its cover art, which proved to be quite the controversial Murakami piece.
Nevertheless, that won’t change the quality of the music itself, which is obviously what fans are mostly concerned with. We already got a taste of what’s to come on The Party Never Ends thanks to the “All Girls Are The Same” remix from Juice WRLD and Nicki Minaj, “AGATS2 (Insecure).” Other than that, die-hards probably expect some other leaks and unreleased material to appear on this new LP, or completely new stuff from the vault that we haven’t even heard snippets of before. Of course, fans are pretty skeptical on that front given the nature of some posthumous material, but we won’t know for sure until it lands.
Meanwhile, there could still be more Juice WRLD music approaching, as DJ Scheme recently claimed that Lil Bibby spoke about this final album plus a “greatest leaks” compilation. We still don’t have any solid confirmation on that, but it would be interesting to see what makes a tracklist and how fans would receive this. In any case, we will celebrate this incredible life and career next week, and we hope that it’s a worthy send-off to a legend gone far too soon.
But the song is just the top of the Juice Wrld’s musical vault iceberg. Yesterday (November 16), music executive tied to Juice Wrld previewed what is believed to be the musician’s final posthumous album, The Party Never Ends.
At ComplexCon Las Vegas 2024, special guests were treated to an advance listen of The Party Never Ends. For some time now, the forthcoming project has been teased online. But those who weren’t able to attend the event won’t have to wait long before they can enjoy the body of work.
According to a countdown shared on the late musician’s social media page (viewable here) The Party Never Ends has an official release date. based on the timer, the album is expected to be shared on November 29.
One fan page on X (formerly Twitter) alleges that during the listening party, attendees heard 15 tracks, all of which are rumored to appear on the album.
An upload by the page (viewable here), the account alleged that it could feature guest appearances by The Kid Laroi and Miley Cyrus.
Juice Wrld’s estate hasn’t confirmed any details surrounding The Party Never Ends. So, fans will need to hold a bit longer.
Juice WRLD recorded a vast catalog within a short period, though many of these records have yet to be heard from the public. The rapper reportedly left behind 2,000 songs before his untimely death in 2021. The estate of the Chicago artist has slowly unveiled records from his vault, even as many of these songs leak onto the Internet. This week, Juice WRLD’s single, “The Light” arrived in its entirety, following an announcement made by DJ Scheme on Wednesday promising new music from the late rapper. The single is expected to land on Juice WRLD’s next project, The Party Never Ends.
“The Light” initially surfaced online last year, though there was no indication when it would hit streaming services. The latest record reflects Juice WRLD’s unique blend of styles – his ethos for rap, blended with pop-punk influences and infectious radio-friendly melodies. Most importantly, “The Light” highlights Juice WRLD’s relatability that turned him into a household name. Throughout the song, he details his personal struggles while reflecting on how his partner’s helped him out of the dark place.
Juice WRLD’s Estate Unveils “The Light”
The latest single marks his first posthumous release of the year. Since his 2019 death, the rapper’s estate unloaded plenty of content, including a documentary and two out of three posthumous albums due out. Legends Never Die arrived in 2020, with singles such as “Come & Go,” “Smile,” and “Tell Me U Love Me.” Then, Fighting Demons dropped the following year, which served as the second to last album in the posthumous trilogy.
Lil Bibby, the founder of Grade A, announced earlier this year that his final project, The Party Never Ends is currently in the works. “The Last Juice WRLD Album is in the works… We want this album to feel like a Celebration/Party! Let’s celebrate the life of Juice,” he wrote. “No more mourning, I want everyone that Juice loved while he was here to help celebrate, especially his fans who he loved! You guys have been the best fans an artist can have (Minus the death threats to Bibby).” Check out the new Juice WRLD single above.
Quotable Lyrics I had to cuff you up, like a cop on a heist Cupid is the judge, so I must testify I won’t move or budge, I’ll stand by you for life All my life, when you die is when I die
What do we know about Juice Wrld’s posthumous album? One of the biggest what-ifs in the music industry, Juice Wrld, was a different breed. Jarad Anthony Higgins, or his stage name Juice Wrld was an emo-rapper who just went into the studio and freestyled song after song.
Often using the same instrumental and recording 2-3 different songs from that beat. It has been rumored that Juice has over 2,000 songs in his discography that are still unreleased to this day. Fans hope we get some of those unreleased songs on the new album.
After his death, Juice was still under contract with the record label Grade A. They had gathered songs that Juice Wrld potentially wanted on an album and created two more albums under his name. These two posthumous albums were called “Legends Never Die” and “Fighting Demons.”
Everything We Know About The Juice Wrld Album “The Party Never Ends”
Being delayed multiple times, the album has been promised to us numerous times. Lil Bibby, who owns Grade A Productions, always promises the fans the album. Many fans dislike Bibby because of these false promises.
The album was first teased to the fans in July of 2021 by Juice Wrld’s manager Peter Jideonwo. He told the fans that the album would be released that summer and have fewer than five features.
Jideonwo had this to say on Instagram Live back in 2021, “I can’t guarantee the album will be this month, but pretty soon,” Jideonwo revealed in an Instagram Live. He continued: “‘The Party Never Ends’ is going to be the best album, not only musically but creatively. We got a big collab on the album cover and also the merch. Everything about it is fire. We’re not just doing some basic music… we’re taking our time to craft a classic you’ll talk about for the next ten years.”
Continued
Juice Wrld’s estate went on and officially announced the album on July 8, 2021. It was accompanied by a 15-second project trailer on YouTube.
It was confirmed that this album at the time would be the first part of a trilogy series. Lil Bibby himself revealed this in a June interview with VladTv.
Months have passed, and we didn’t get many updates until Lil Bibby tweeted, “first part of the album is 90% done, jus waiting on @trvisXX spam him!!”. From there on, we would continue to get tweets from Juice’s circle. Tweets that referenced song lyrics to tweets talking about updates on the album.
Postponing The Album
Lil Bibby would continue to tweet out more release dates and say they are waiting on people. It was always an excuse, and the album continued to be delayed longer and longer.
When the documentary was about to be released, Bibby went on Instagram live to explain that he had to postpone the album again. He also wanted to have the documentary of Juice WRLD released with the album. As we can see, the album never dropped.
We would then receive an update that the album would drop in 2022. From there, multiple people would start getting creative with the tracklist and leaking it. The label denied most of the tracklists as false, but many continued to make them.
On Instagram and Twitter, fans would continue to ask people in Juice’s circle about the album’s release dates. They would also go on to ask them to put out certain songs or suggested songs to be on the tracklist.
Canceling The Album
April 29, 2022, Lil Bibby tweeted, “no party this year.” This comes from leakers and hackers posting unreleased music on third-party sites. This led to the frustration of Bibby and Grade A, as they wanted to release the album but couldn’t because of the leaks.
Lil Bibby, Pete Jideonwo, and DJ Scheme would all go on to vent about the frustration of the leakers and blame them and the fans that the album wouldn’t come out because of them. Bibby even threatened to cancel the album because hackers leaked the unreleased music.
A New Hope
Since then, only a little has been heard about the album and its updates. Nevertheless, on February 4, Bibby posted an update on Instagram. He explained how this would be the last album in the works—changing from the original idea of a trilogy.
This is what he said on Instagram, “The Last Juice WRLD Album is in the works… We want this album to feel like a Celebration/Party! Let’s celebrate the life of Juice No more mourning, I want everyone that Juice loved while he was here to help celebrate, especially his fans who he loved! You guys have been the best fans an artist can have (Minus the death threats to Bibby) . I’m not gonna complain but i’ll jus say this is not easy. We miss you, We love you 999 til the world ends .”
This announcement happened after Juice Wrld’s discography was reportedly sold to Opus Music Group. We don’t know if the Instagram post meant that this would be Juice’s last Grade A album, but many fans hope this will not be the end.
A New Release Date
Fans were blessed to hear an apparent release date for the album. Of course, we are now past that release date of March 13, but we got another update saying it will be released sometime this year.
Hopefully, they are finally telling the fans the truth, as all they want is new music from Juice WRLD. So again, hopefully, this will be the last delay for the album, and that we will get it this year.
Lil Bibby and Juice WRLD fans have a strange relationship. Juice signed to the fellow Chicago native’s label Grade A Productions back in 2017. Under that contract, Juice put out two studio albums before his tragic death in December 2019. Since then, two posthumous Juice records have been released. These include Legends Never Die and Fighting Demons. Additionally, a third one reportedly titled The Party Never Ends should arrive soon.
In the years after Juice’s death, however, his fans have not been fond of how Bibby and Juice’s camp have operated regarding posthumous releases. Along with The Party Never Endsbeing hit with multiple delays due to leaks, Juice’s cousin Millz had some harsh words for Juice’s ex-girlfriend Ally Lotti, saying she was “controlling and manipulating” him while he was alive. It’s safe to say that those who love Juice need to see a well-executed release of his next project.
Lil Bibby Hasn’t Sold
Among all this dysfunction, reports from Billboard on Feb. 3 claimed that Bibby, Grade A and Juice’s estate had sold most of Juice’s publishing rights to Opus Music Group. They represent reggateon artists like Maluma and Rauw Alejandro. However, on Feb. 6, Bibby took to Twitter to deny these claims. He tweeted: “We sold nothing…” Bibby has not elaborated on this, which makes it hard to believe that Billboard’s reports would be inaccurate. A spokesperson for Opus gave a statement to Billboard at the time the story broke that emphasized how impactful the deal is. “To represent the body of work of Juice Wrld – whose cultural significance and generational influence can’t be overstated – is an honor and a responsibility,” they said.
One day after the Billboard report, Bibby posted on Instagram that “the last Juice WRLD album is in the works,” which could certainly validate Bibby’s claims that he is still in control of Juice’s music. The Party Never Ends will be the first full-length Juice WRLD release since December 2021. It will likely serve as the final official release for the slain rapper. Surely more clarity from Bibby will come regarding who owns his publishing rights. Stay tuned to HNHH for more updates on this developing story.
