In case you missed it, Kanye West was booted from the GRAMMY performance lineup. Following the breaking news, The Game stood up for his “Eazy” collaborator and issued a statement on Instagram.

“Time & time again they show us that they only want to steal the culture, not allow you to ever be their equals,” Game said. “In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions…. The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming.”

According to reports, YE was pulled for his erratic behavior online, which included disses towards Pete Davidson and Trevor Noah, the GRAMMYs host, who he called a “koon.”

The Game acknowledged Noah’s hosting and cited that may be a reason:

“Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision. Or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown; especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions. We’ll just say it’s all of the above & a continuous disrespect for us & all that we have brought to the table in entertainment, media & sports over the last 100 years especially.”

The Game Says Kanye West Was Removed As A Performer At The Grammys Due To His Actions On Social Media

Earlier this week, Kanye West was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours due to consistent behavior that went against the platform’s rules. This includes constant attacks against Pete Davidson, who’s dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, threats against comedian D.L. Hughley, and racist slurs directed at The Daily Show host Trevor Noah. It was these slurs that proved to be the final straw leading to Instagram’s decision to suspend the rapper for a day. It turns out that Kanye’s comments against Trevor may have affected more than just his Instagram presence, it also allegedly got him removed as a performer for the upcoming Grammy Awards.

The what The Game says at least in a recent Instagram post he shared. “Time & time again they show us that they only want to STEAL the culture, not allow you to ever be their equals,” he wrote under the post. “In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions…. The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming.”

The Game went on to say that he will always support Kanye’s decision to speak his mind as The Game himself is someone who “can’t sleep at night knowing I was quiet about issues burning holes in my heart.” In the lengthy post, The Game also mentioned Colin Kaepernick’s inability to play in the NFL, lynching just becoming a federal hate crime, and recent legislation that was passed that made it illegal to discriminate someone from employment because of their hairstyle.

It’s unknown if Kanye was actually going to perform at the Grammys and if The Game’s reason is why he was pulled from the show. Nonetheless, the 2022 Grammys Awards will commence on April 3 with performances from BTS, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, and more.

Kanye West’s ‘Eazy’ Collaborator The Game Criticizes Instagram For Suspending Him

Yesterday, after nearly a month of posts haranguing comedian Pete Davidson for dating his ex, Kanye West was finally suspended from Instagram for calling Trevor Noah a “coon.” While many saw the punitive action as long overdue, Ye’s “Eazy” collaborator The Game saw things differently, piping up on behalf of his friend — who, remember, he said did more for him in a week than Dr. Dre did his whole career — in an Instagram post of his own questioning the decision to lock Kanye out for a whole 24 hours.

“It’s a whole war going on in Ukraine & hate posts surrounding it that add fuel to the fire,” Game argued. “+ Africans being violated & barred from crossing borders to safety with racists comments/content attached…. and y’all zero’d in on Ye’s posts about the protection of his children, his fatherhood & him speaking his truth in defense to the coonery displayed by other verified users on this app that further complicate his situation in regards to his family.”

Okay. So.

Good points were made. Game is right: Instagram lets a lot of stuff slide. As anyone following any major sports account can attest, bots are rampant, a lot of quasi-racism gets by the filter, comments are filled with bullies and trolls, and heaven forbid you accidentally “like” the wrong post and screw up the algorithm — you might find yourself in QAnon territory by the end of your lunch break.

But!

Come on, now. Is this the behavior we’re going to bat for? Kanye spent several weeks calling that man “Skete,” and crowing about chasing him off the app while spreading Breitbart propaganda posts. Kim Kardashian, bless her oblivious, narcissistic little heart, has been desperately trying to get Ye to chill out lying about not seeing his kids. Trevor Noah’s big offense was expressing his concerns about the situation in an empathetic monologue on his show (Trevor was really nice about his response too). Kanye needs someone near him to risk getting the Big Sean treatment and tell him about himself, not defend him when he finally faces consequences for his own reckless actions. Also, there’s a strong chance that he’ll be unsuspended by the time most folks read this, and equally likely he’ll be right back at his old shenanigans by the weekend.

One good thing may come of this, though: As French Montana said, now that Kanye’s been offended by Instagram, it’s a safe bet he’ll have his own social media platform ready to rollout by this time next year. He’ll be easier to ignore then.

Ed Sheeran Recalls Smoking Weed With The Game

Contrary to what he says in his 2012 breakout hit “The A-Team,” Ed Sheeran won’t “go mad for a couple grams.” Of weed, that is. During an appearance on Australia’s Fitzy And Wippa radio show, the “Shivers” singer recalled studio sessions with rapper The Game, which went down shortly after “The A-Team” took off.

“We were in the studio,” Sheeran said, “and we probably made like 13, 14 songs. And towards the end of the session, his boys come in and… it starts being a bit of a party… I took a tiny, tiny, tiny puff on something and I was out, I had to go home. I don’t really do that at all.”

Since the debauched studio sessions, Sheeran and The Game have collaborated on the tracks “City Of Sin” and “Roadside,” both of which appear on The Game’s 2019 album Born 2 Rap.

Sheeran’s radio appearance coincides with the announcement of his 2023 Australian stadium tour. He’s set to kick off the first leg of his +-=÷x Tour, also known as The Mathematics Tour, next month in Cork, Ireland, with dates throughout Europe and the UK. Sheeran is expected to announce American tour dates soon.

Ahead of his tour, Sheeran will perform a series of “warm-up shows” kicking off in London next week.

Kanye West And The Game Share Another Video For ‘Eazy’ And It Shows Pete Davidson Getting Beat Up

Kanye West has spent a lot of the newish year attacking Pete Davidson, be it through songs, videos, or posts on Instagram. The rapper is far from pleased that the SNL comedian who is now with Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s ex-wife and mother of his four children. Recently he released a claymation video for “Eazy,” his collaboration with The Game, which shows Kanye putting a hit on Pete, But apparently that wasn’t enough to show his disdain towards Pete. Now, the two have returned with a second video for the same song, in which Pete is yet again the victim.

In the new “Eazy” video, the rappers opt for an animated look that features the skinned monkey that appeared on the song’s cover art. The trio takes a trip through Los Angeles in a Maybach where they visit a tattoo parlor and church. They also stop by a courtroom, where Kanye and his crew turn up as he raps, “N****, we havin’ the best divorce ever / If we go to court, we’ll go to court together.” As the song comes to a close, Kanye sends the skinned monkey to attack a man with his face blurred out while rocking a hoodie that says “Skete,” a name that Kanye has often used to refer to Davidson. As the attack goes down, Kanye raps, “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.”
