Deion Sanders Was Secretly Part Of Death Row Records, Suge Knight Claims

Suge Knight claims that Deion Sanders was originally part of Death Row Records. “Deion Sanders — when Prime wanted to be a rapper, he said: ‘I want to be a rapper. I spent over half a million dollars of my own money. I put guys in the studio, I paid Dallas Austin, I did all these songs — did everything. Then one day he came to me and said, ‘Well, y’know, Prime deal with Nike and Death Row is a Black-owned company, and we don’t really want to deal with a Black-owned company. Even though you paid for everything and we signed to you, put us on the Interscope brand’,” Suge told The Daily Cannon.

Sanders put out two albums – 1994’s Prime Time and 2005’s The Encore Remix. Prime Time even charted, reaching #70 on the Billboard Hip Hop chart and #14 on the US Heatseekers chart. However, it’s definitely brand-new information that the album could have originally come out under Suge’s iconic brand.

Sanders Demands Compensation For UCLA Robbery

Back in the present day, Sanders is seeking justice for his players at Colorado. Sanders publicly demanded that the NCAA or UCLA directly compensate his players after the Colorado Buffaloes were reportedly the victims of a robbery during a recent road game. “Our kids got robbed during the game last week. I think that’s a travesty. I would expect the NCAA to do something about that. This is the Rose Bowl. They said the granddaddy of ’em all, right? I’m sure granddaddy had some money. Grandpa should have some money to give these kids,” Sanders told reporters during a press conference this week. “I’m going to have a list made out from these young men, and I know they’re going to be truthful about what they lost, so we can try and get it back for them. They may not be able to get the items back, but they should be able to reimburse them. That was unbelievable,” he continued.

Furthermore, Sanders squarely put the burden of responsibility on the NCAA. “It don’t make no sense when you’re out there ballin’ and playing your heart out and you get robbed at the same [time]. I hope we can do something about that, NCAA. You do something about everything else. Do something about that,” Sanders noted. UCLA officials confirmed that a police report had been filed with the Pasadena PD. The Rose Bowl, which serves as the Bruins’ home stadium, is about 26 miles from the main UCLA campus. The robbery reportedly occurred during UCLA’s 28-16 win over the Buffs last weekend.

While that doesn’t have much to do with Petty’s beef with the rapper, it’s hard to take either without the context of the other. Moreover, Nick Cannon became the most recent celebrity to speak on this incident, and it wasn’t very forgiving. Still, it’s just a lot of gossip and Internet drama at this point, since it didn’t go beyond just a few videos of him and his friends staking ‘Set out.

Fans are roasting Nick Cannon on social media for arguing that Bruno Mars has more hit records than Beyoncé. He explained his reasoning during a recent episode of his podcast, The Daily Cannon, adding that he’d also take Mars over Taylor Swift.

“Have you ever seen Bruno perform live?” he asked his co-hosts. “Fire! ‘Cause he got his whole crew on stage with him and they be doing the little dances. It feels very Morris Day and the Time-ish. See, no offence, but I would rather go to a Bruno Mars show than a Beyoncé or a Taylor Swift [show],” Cannon added while asking who has the most hits. From there, they cited “Crazy in Love,” “Drunk in Love,” “Single Ladies,” and many more songs from Beyoncé. “I’m a Beyoncé fan,” Cannon clarified. “I still believe Bruno Mars actually has more hit records.”

Fans were quick to begin roasting Cannon for the take on social media. “Nick cannon just said Bruno mars got more hits than Beyoncé like let’s be fucking serious right now,” one fan tweeted. Another wrote: “Alright we the people would like to release Nick Cannon from the culture. First all these kids and now you saying Bruno Mars has more hits than BEYONCÉ!! MAN WHAT?!”

Not all of the responses were so negative. Nick Cannon says he believes that Bruno Mars has more hit records than both Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. He made his case for why he’d rather go see Mars live during a recent episode of his podcast, The Daily Cannon.

“See I think, no offense, but I would rather go to a Bruno Mars show than a Beyoncé or Taylor Swift,” Cannon said. “Who got more hits?” When his co-hosts confidently chose Beyoncé, he responded, “I’m a Beyoncé fan. Nick Cannon says that he mixed up the Mother’s Day cards he made for the women in his life, last weekend. Reflecting on the holiday during Monday’s episode of his new radio show The Daily Cannon, he admitted that he gave the wrong cards out to different mothers of his many children.

“I tried my best, I really did,” he said on the show. He added: “To show people how you really feel, write it down. And I was doing handwritten messages from the heart. So then as I’m writing the handwritten message, I get the cards mixed up. And then so when one baby mama reads the card about how I feel about the other baby mama…” From there, he joked, “See if I would just got some generic s–t that everybody else got, that wouldn’t have happened.”

Troy Ave might have helped the court give Taxstone a guilty verdict for manslaughter for shooting his entourage back in 2016, but he still has to go to jail on attempted murder and weapon possession charges. Moreover, he recently took to Instagram to voice his frustrations. “And would you believe after all the evidence I still gotta go to jail,” he wrote. “Even tho I feel like ‘it’s self defense.’ Even tho I feel like ‘my friends shoulda took some of the weight off my shoulders.’ But regardless of all that ima take whatever comes with this, with my chin up and 10 toes down.
