Hassan Haskins Arrested For Strangling Girlfriend

Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins has reportedly been arrested in Nashville on felony aggravated assault charges. Haskins was taken into custody on June 29 after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend on June 22. Haskins was a fourth-round draft pick for the Titans in 2022 and appeared in 15 games, rushing for 93 total yards.

The June 22 assault reportedly happened after Haskins saw that his girlfriend, Makiah Green, had liked a picture from another man on Instagram. The two argued, with Haskins pinning Green to the bed and strangling her with both hands after she refused to stop throwing his shoes on the ground. After he stopped strangling her, the two reportedly slapped each other repeatedly.

Haskins Arrested After Second Altercation

Reportedly, Haskins was arrested Thursday following a second altercation with Green. After arguing at dinner, Haskins reportedly returned home without Green. Forced to Uber home, Green allegedly threw a glass at Haskins before locking herself in the bedroom. Reportedly, Haskins then broke down the bedroom door and began arguing with Green. At this point, Green reportedly tore a chain off Haskins’ neck. After he reportedly broke her phone, Green took Haskins’ phone and claimed to see Snapchat messages from “naked women”, prompting her to allegedly break Haskins’ phone.

Furthermore, Haskins has alleged that Green choked him from behind with a broom before throwing his Playstation 5 through the wall. Both were arrested and have since made bond. Green was charged with aggravated assault and felony vandalism. Haskins was held on a $10,000 bond while Green was held on $7500. The Titans running back will appear in court on July 10 in Jefferson County. Derrick Henry has been the face of the Tennessee Titans franchise since joining the team. The former Alabama running back has made a career out of his physical running out of the backfield. However, the career of a running back isn’t necessarily a long one. Running backs have to deal with the physical impact of nearly every play. So, the decision on when a team must decide to make a move at running back can sometimes be a difficult one. But for the Titans, that decision doesn’t even seem to be on the radar.

Titans GM Ran Carthon spoke to the media recently on the rumors that the Titans could be dealing Henry. Carthon didn’t waste any time with his response. The Titans GM says the team is not dealing Henry and have not received any calls for the All-Pro running back. According to Ari Meirov, Carthorn also shut down rumors of the team dealing other stars. “We also were apparently trading Jeffery Simmons at one point, and during that entire period, we were negotiating his deal.”

Titans Not Ready To Move On From Derrick Henry

Henry hasn’t given the team any reason to look at moving the former Pro Bowl running back. Last season, Henry carried the ball 349 times. Which is the second most carries in all of his career. Henry also rushed for over 1,500 yards and found the endzone on the ground 13 different times. The Titans offense will unquestionably involve a heavy dose of Henry during next season. But the team still will be looking to improve on the offensive side of the ball.

Even with Henry, the Titans failed to make the post-season last year. The Jaguars defeated the Titans in the regular season finale for the AFC South crown and the final playoff spot. Moneybagg Yo delivered the first-ever tunnel walkout performance in the NFL. Ahead of the Tennessee Titans’ battle with the Las Vegas Raiders, Moneybagg Yo performed “See Wat I’m Sayin’” as his hometown team led by Derrick Henry took the field. The Titans won 24-22 for their first W of the season.

When it was released in May, the song reached the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts at position #14. The rapper from Memphis, who has long supported the Titans, had a song called “Blitz” ft. Tripstar used in the Madden 22 soundtrack music video.

Moneybagg Yo released his most recent single, “Blow,” on his birthday this past Thursday, keeping him busier than ever this year. The rapper is up for awards from iHeartRadio and Billboard Music.

AJ Brown shocked the NFL and NFL Draft by getting traded from the Tennessee Titians to the Philadelphia Eagles. After the Eagles moved up in the draft to select Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis with the 13th pick, the Eagles shocked the NFL by landing the All-Pro Brown via a trade with the Titans.

Not only that, but the Eagles have already signed the Pro Bowl wideout to a four-year, $100 million extension with $57 million guaranteed, per NFL Media, as they secured a new top target for the long term.

In exchange for Brown, the Titans received the No. 18 overall pick, which they used on potential Brown successor Treylon Burks from Arkansas, and the Eagles’ No. 101 pick, a third-rounder.

The Titians were the number 1 seed in the AFC last season with the help of Brown. Ultimately, the Titians didn’t want to give Brown a huge payday, so they traded him and, for all-purpose, drafted his replacement in a draft loaded with wide receivers.

The Eagles now have a go-to receiver that quarterback Jalen Hurst can rely on. Both Hurts and Brown are close friends who work out together regularly, so the Eagles stuck gold here, especially if they plan on building around Hurts long term. Brown is that big receiver the Eagles’ offense needed, and alongside DeVonta Smith, it will pose a big problem for defenses this season.
