According t several reports, the father and son who was allegedly recorded beating and robbing disgraced Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine have been released from jail.

43-year-old Rafael Medina Jr. and his 23-year-old son Octavius Medina have been released on house arrest in Palm County after signing a promissory note with a bail bond company. Rafael was released on a $52K bond while his son was cut loose on a $22K surety bond. Their co-defendant, 25-year-old Anthony Maldonado, signed a $22K surety bond as well, but remans in custody at Palm Beach County’s Main Detention Center, according to court records.

All three were charged with battery and robbery of the “Gummo” rapper and are slated for court appearances next month.

On March 30, Maldonado and the father/son team were arrested on suspicion of assaulting Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, inside an LA Fitness gym in Palm Beach County, Florida and recorded the entire ordeal.

Tekashi gave a statement to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s investigators, telling them that his attackers took the key fob to his Lambo, Balenciaga sneakers and an iPhone.

Rumors have circulated that the attack was due to 6ix9ine’s allegiance to Mexico over Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic last month, but authorities say that Medina Jr. is a high ranking member of the Latin King, which is an ally to the Bloods gang. Tekashi famously aided federal prosecutors to convict several of his Blood co-defendants of racketeering and violent crimes, resulting in a sentence of jail and house arrest.

As part of the conditions of release from jail, the three defendants signed papers agreeing to obey all laws, not possess weapons, and appear for scheduled court hearings. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s website says its house arrest program allows participants to obtain employment and requires them to wear an ankle monitor.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Breaks Silence On Gym Attack In Tell-All Interview: “It Was Cowardly”

For years, Tekashi 6ix9ine boasted that he’s untouchable in these streets. The rapper antagonized any rapper possible in hopes that he’d get a response. But, after he walked out of prison, he became even bolder as he made it clear that he wouldn’t move around with security. Eventually, his words caught up to him. At a gym in Florida, he got a beating inside of a sauna. The three men accused of jumping him have been arrested while 6ix9ine seemingly tried to keep a low profile.

Finally, the rapper decided to break his silence in a tell-all interview with NBCMiami.com. Sheli Muniz sat down with the rapper to get his account of what happened at LA Fitness. The rapper explained that he suffered contusions to his face, jaw, and ribs. He added that he stayed in the hospital for a few days after he was beaten. But, when the topic of security came about, he said, that he “felt at peace.” “I love going to, you know, restaurants and not have to say, ‘Oh, I’ll wait for the security team,” he said. “I’ll just go do it.”

6ix9ine Breaks Silence

There’s no evidence connecting the attack to 6ix9ine’s testimony against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. However, one of the attackers is reportedly a high-ranking member of the Latin Kings, who have ties to the Bloods. Tekashi 6ix9ine didn’t necessarily discount the theory but he said that people who are mad at him for snitching don’t “know the real story,” as in the evidence presented in court documents.

Muniz eventually asked 6ix9ine about the video and whether it was difficult to watch. “Yeah, definitely,” he responded. “For me, it was tough to watch because it was so unexpected… It’s cowardly.” He added that the video is filled with “hate,” as he explained that people have formed an opinion about him without ever meeting him. “I think it was cowardly, I think it was opportunistic,” he continued. “But again, I’m not mad because I know that, in the streets, there’s no rules. I’m lost for words because you can’t blame them. They saw an opportunity and they took it.” He also addressed those who felt that it could be staged, saying that he doesn’t need to get attacked to sell records. “I’m that talented,” he said. 6ix9ine Attacker’s Wife Launches GoFundMe, Says Husband “Made A Mistake”

He may be enjoying time in Cuba, but Tekashi 6ix9ine is still recovering from a vicious attack. For years, the incendiary rapper has been targeting his foes, one after another. After turning federal witness against his gang affiliates, he became an industry pariah, with a “snitch” label following him at every turn. Still, 6ix9ine remained unfazed and taunted anyone who criticized him. While several chart-toppers pledged to face off with the rainbow-haired rapper, a reported trio of men at the gym executed an assault.

Recently, a video of 6ix9ine looking bloodied and battered surfaced online. Soon, another followed, showing the “GOOBA” hitmaker on the floor of an L.A. Fitness restroom being stomped, kicked, and punched by a group of men. TMZ shared a photo of 6ix9ine’s injuries from the hospital, and it didn’t take long for mugshots to be released. Jamie Medina, the wife to one of the suspects, Rafael Medina, had a few things to say.

6ix9ine Attack Suspect’s Wife Defends Her Husband

A quick check shows that the GoFundMe campaign has been taken down. However, AllHipHop conveyed portions of Jamie’s message. “My husband is Rafael Medina. I can’t talk much about the situation because it’s still ongoing, but my husband stood up for what he believes in,” she reportedly wrote. “Which, unfortunately, ended in an altercation. It didn’t have anything to do with clout. My husband doesn’t even have social media. The GoFundMe is for everybody involved.”

She accused social media users of spreading false information. “Rafael is a hard-working, loving father and husband, who made a mistake,” Medina continued. There are no excuses, but we are hoping that during this time, we can come together, support and donated to the GoFundMe for the entire cause and for the attorney fees.” It is unclear if Medina took down the crowdfunding campaign herself or if GoFundMe deleted it.

Tekashi Speaks On The Altercation

After days of being taunted online, 6ix9ine reemerged with a post. He reshared the clip of him getting jumped and seemed to praise his yearslong ability to move freely without incident. “For 2 years I been walking around with no security. Not saying I promote that BUT now you see I really never hid from anything,” said 6ix9ine. “If you ever crossed my path or ever came to my house (you girls know who you are) ya can tell the world ‘Danny drives his own cars and be solo’ You know how many of you people seen me in real life by myself in gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.”

“Anyway what happen here was nothing but cowardly. I’m not mad this happened. In the street there’s no rules so I cant say they were wrong. Obviously it wasn’t fair but again the streets has no rules. Just imagine having nothing to do to with a situation and feel obligated to make it your business. (Very weird) I’m happy to be here still. And I want to say I love my fans. Thank you. P.S : I never knew we respected jumping people. When did that ever become a W???” Check it out above.

6ix9ine is back to the music. Dropping off “Bori” filmed in Cuba, where his retreat was held after his brutal gym beating.

First time addressing the situation. For 2 years I been walking around with no security. Not saying I promote that BUT now you see I really never hid from anything. If you ever crossed my path or ever came to my house (you girls know who you are) ya can tell the world “Danny drives his own cars and be solo” You know how many of you people seen me in real life by myself in gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Anyway what happen here was nothing but cowardly. Wife of Alleged 6ix9ine Attacker Sets Up GoFundMe

69 1

Rafeal Medina is one of three men accused of attacking Tekashi 6ix9ine. On Thursday evening, Medina, joined by Octavious Medina and Anthony Maldonado, was booked into a county jail for assaulting the rapper.

The wife of one of the men who attacked the rapper, Jaime Medina, created a GoFundMe account to help with legal fees for all of the men involved. The money will not only be used for her husband but for the other men that jumped the artist.

6ix9ine was rushed to the hospital on March 21, 2023, with injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back. The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was attacked by a group of men inside a south Florida gym. On Thursday, March 30, 2023, authorities arrested three people in connection with the assault, which was captured on camera.

In 21 hours, the campaign only raised $10 out of its original $100,000 goal.

She wrote, “The go fund me is for everybody involved.”

“My husband is Rafeal Medina,” the woman wrote. “I can’t talk much about the situation because it’s still on going, but my husband stood up for what he believes in— which unfortunately, ended in an altercation. It didn’t have anything to do with clout, my husband doesn’t even have social media.”

According to the wife, the internet made up “false assumptions,” regarding why her husband and the other men jumped the rapper.

“Rafeal is a hard-working, loving father and husband, who made a mistake; There are no excuses, but we are hoping that during this time, we can come together, support and donate to the GoFundMe for the entire cause and for the attorney fees,” she said.

Jamie Medina also asked people to “refrain from the negativity” because “there’s enough of that already.”

She ended the paragraph by thanking people for “all of the support.” The wife also listed her CashApp for people who wanted to give their donations to her directly.

Update: The GoFundMe page has been taken down.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Alleged Attacker Identified As High-Ranking Member Of Latin Kings: Report

Nearly a week passed since the vicious beating of Tekashi 6ix9ine at an LA Fitness in Florida. Three men walked into an LA Fitness where they caught the rapper slacking in the sauna and proceeded to pulverize him on the floor. The gym’s staff had to rush him to safety while police swiftly arrived to the scene. However, fans didn’t necessarily have much sympathy considering his previous antics. Whether berating his peers in rap or dissing the dead, many felt as though the beatdown was long overdue.

Between the cell phone footage, CCTV cameras, and the publicity surrounding the attack, it seemed impossible that the perpetrators wouldn’t identify themselves. However, police announced that they made three arrests in the case. Authorities arrested Rafael Medina Jr., his son, Octavious Medina, and a third man, Anthony Maldonado on preliminary charges of felony battery and robbery. However, the latest update on the case surrounds the oldest of the three suspects and his alleged ties to the Bloods.

Police: Tekashi 6ix9ine Suspect Is A Latin Kings Member

According to TMZ, Palm Beach County Sheriff revealed that Rafael Medina Jr. is a documented member of the Latin Kings gang. He’s held a high-ranking position in the Latin Kings Palm Beach County Chapter over the past few years. Medina Jr. reportedly holds the title of “Inca” – the Chapter’s president., according to Gang Unit Detectives. At this point, it remains unclear if he acted alone or on behalf of the Latin Kings. Still, the connection alone seems to put a few pieces together.

The tabloid publication reports that the Palm Beach County Sheriff Office identified the Latin Kings as allies of the Bloods. As you recall, Tekashi 6ix9ine took the stand against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods – a subset of the United Blood Nation. Medina Jr. was previously convicted of felony charges in the mid-2000s during a federal RICO case surrounding the Latin Kings. Again, it’s unclear what the motivation behind attacking 6ix9ine is but the revelation about Medina Jr. suggests that it likely had to do with street politics moreso than Tekashi’s internet antics. We’ll keep you posted with anymore updates surrounding the case.
