Tekashi 6ix9ine and Diddy may be in the same prison, but they are not kicking it. Despite rumors that they have interacted, TMZ notes that the two are in separate areas of Brooklyn’s MDC.

According to 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, the two are not next to each other, and 6ix9ine is isolated due to his notoriety. That separation includes other famous individuals.

6ix9ine pled guilty to violations of his supervised release. The rapper went to Las Vegas without permission, along with failed drug tests and more.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested in NYC for Violating Supervised Release

Tekashi 6ix9ine has once again been arrested. According to TMZ, he was arrested for violating the terms of his supervised release.

6ix9ine was taken into custody on Tuesday morning and will be prosecuted at the NYC federal courthouse for violating his probation conditions. There currently is no confirmation of the violation.

6ix9ine reached his plea deal in 2020 after battling charges of racketeering, firearms, narcotics trafficking, and more.

Earlier this month, the controversial and embattled rapper signed a new record deal with Kartel Music, reportedly for over $6 million.

According to TMZ, 6ix9ine will record a new album with Mexican regional artists and tour across the United States, Mexico, and Central and South America.

The rainbow-haired rapper will earn $1 million for a 10-song album and $250,000 for each show of a tour, resulting in nearly $6 million in earnings.

But there is some fine print. In accepting the deal, 6ix9ine agrees to sidestep legal issues and digital beef while also avoiding arrest.

But just last month, Tekashi 6ix9ine decided to use his drama to generate some views, and this time, it involves his former flame, singer Yailin La Mas Viral. The troubled and now wanted Brooklyn rapper dropped “Repuesta,” a diss track, along with a video yesterday (Sept. 4) aimed at an ex-girlfriend and fellow artist, Yailin La Mas Viral and the ‘Get The Strap” rapper goes in on his former lover.

Even though all of the lyrics are in Spanish (and can understood in depth by those who speak the language), the visual for Repuesta (which means response) gives viewers 6ix9ine’s perception of the rocky relationship between the two artists. Also, Tekashi, known for his flamboyant wear and hairstyles, toned it down this time, donning a black suit while casually spitting his verses instead of his signature screaming style.

The visual includes footage of the rapper and Yailin La Mas Viral when they were still together. The duo dated throughout 2023 before ending things in August. Footage also includes 6ix9ine interacting with Yailin La Mas Viral’s son, whom she shares with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. The relationship publicly went sour when it was reported that 6ix9ine was arrested in the Dominican Republic on domestic violence charges back in January after Yailin’s mother made a report.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Taken Into Federal Custody

Tekashi 6ix9ine has been taken into federal custody, according to a report by DJ Akademiks. The reason for the arrest is due to 6ix9ine allegedly “violating the conditions of his supervised release.” Overall, 6ix9ine is someone who has been in a lot of trouble throughout his career, for a plethora of different reasons. Of course, many remember his case from 2018 which led to RICO charges. However, 6ix9ine snitched on pretty well all of his associates and he only got a few years in prison.

Since that time, Tekashi has remained in the headlines thanks to his various antics. From disrespecting the dead to going overseas and causing trouble in various countries, 6ix9ine has remained a polarizing figure. Moreover, he recently signed a deal with Kartel music, but, of course, now that he is in Federal Custody, that deal might not be worthy much, moving forward. As for this current arrest, there aren’t too many details as to what exactly 6ix9ine did. However, there is no denying that Federal Custody is absolutely no joke.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Signs Massive New Record Deal With Kartel Music

Tekashi 6ix9ine does not have the hit-making capabilities that he once showcased. The rapper used to be able to top the charts with Nicki Minaj and Fetty Wap collabs. The more time that’s passed, though, the harder it’s become for 6ix9ine to generate interest in his music. He’s a celebrity more than an artist. Which is why the rapper felt the need to switch gears and sign a record deal with a brand new label. TMZ confirmed that Tekashi 6ix9ine recently signed to Kartel Music, and plans to drop an album with regional Mexican artists.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s deal could potentially net him $6 million. His plan is to record an album that appeals to Spanish-language listeners. He also plans to tour it in Mexico, as well as Central and South America. TMZ analyzed the contract, and claimed that the rapper will be paid $1 million to complete an album with ten songs. He will subsequently be paid $250K for each concert date. All added up, this could result in the aforementioned $6 million. An impressive chunk of change for someone who, as was previously stated, has stalled on the hip hop charts. The deal came with specific conditions, however. Tekashi 6ix9ine cannot run into legal troubles, or get arrested, during the making of the album.

This is not the first time Tekashi 6ix9ine has catered to his Latino audience. His dropped a reggaeton album titled Leyenda Viva in 2023. It boasted appearances from stars like Angel Dior, Grupo Firme and Bulin 47. In addition to the album, 6ix9ine recorded collaborations with reggaeton star Anuel AA on his debut English-language album, Dummy Boy, in 2018. He has always been mindful of his worldwide audience, as he told fans via Instagram Live. He called out critics who claimed he switched up for clout. The rapper also asserted that he should be able to cater to different groups.

“You know how many Spanish n**gas is born and raised,” he asserted. “In the whole of New York City? What ya’ll trying to say, Spanish n**gas can’t eat? When you Spanish, you can only make reggaeton? It’s our culture, too, n**ga.” Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Spanish-language music has not been met with critical acclaim. That said, it hasn’t slowed him down. He recently dropped a diss song for his ex-girlfriend in Spanish. His upcoming album is set to be his most concentrated attempt at crossover success yet.

According to a report from a local Dominican Republic news outlet, controversial Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has an international warrant for his arrest issued by authorities in the Dominican Republic.

Diario Libre reported today(August 29) that  the Court of Appeals in the Judicial District of La Vega issued this warrant and declared that he was “in rebellion” outside of the D.R. since June 2024. Law enforcement in the D.R. are requesting that 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, be taken into custody in any country they find him unless he decides to surrender.

The case originates from the alleged October 2023 assault of two record producers in the Dominican Republic; the same producers whose lawyers recently filed a motion to request his arrest. This alleged assault occurred during a recording session with 6ix9ine’s former girlfriend, Yailin La Mas Viral. In January, he was arrested again, but this time for domestic violence and released on a $500K bond. Hernandez was ordered to pay $500,  engage in government counseling, and reunite with them every two months until they close their case with his alleged abuse of Yailin.

Thois new international warrant will definitely add to the legal entanglement of 6ix9ine with the justice system.
