Offset Denies Reports He Got Into A Fight With Quavo At The Grammys: ‘What TF I Look Like?’

It appears that reports of Offset and Quavo fighting backstage at the Grammys may have been exaggerated. After the TMZ-reported rumor circulated online, Offset himself put in a rare appearance on Twitter to put paid to the speculation, tweeting, “What tf look like fighting my brother yal n****s is crazy.” Quavo, meanwhile, hasn’t made a comment yet.

However, he could just be doing damage control as Entertainment Tonight reports seeing camera phone footage from backstage yelling at someone off-camera, “Both of y’all wrong. This is not right.” While it’s unclear per ET who she’s talking to, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that she could have been addressing her husband and his cousin, who reportedly had to be separated after Quavo declined to allow Offset to join him onstage for his tribute to Takeoff during the ceremony.

The two have been on the outs since last year, when rumors of Migos breaking up hit social media after Offset unfollowed his bandmates on Instagram. Then, Quavo and Takeoff announced their joint album as Unc And Phew, while Offset announced what appeared to be a competing album, and reportedly took the trio’s label, Quality Control Music, to court over the rights to his solo music.

Quavo and Takeoff addressed the split in October, suggesting that the falling out was personal. “We stand on real deal loyalty, and sometimes that sh*t ain’t displayed,” Quavo said. “This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers. And sh*t, it is what it is. Right now, we gon’ be the duo ’til time tell.”

Before the group could reconcile, though, Takeoff was shot dead in Houston at the start of November, and since then, both remaining Migos appeared to have been mourning separately. They haven’t been seen together except at Takeoff’s funeral.

Gillie Da Kid & Wallo Slammed Over J. Prince Interview

Just before Quavo took to the Grammys stage to memorialize Takeoff and other musicians we lost last year, J. Prince sat down with Million Dollaz Worth of Game. It’s an interview that has quickly swept through Hip Hop as Prince opened up about the night Takeoff was murdered in Houston at the top of November 2022. The Migos star was said to have been an innocent bystander at a private event when he was shot and killed. Reports claim there was a verbal disagreement about a dice game that Takeoff wasn’t even a part of.

J. Prince’s son was at the scene and was spotted on video walking past Takeoff’s body. People called him out for alleged callous behavior, but Prince insisted they did all they could. Elsewhere, he also called out Offset for speculated tension with Takeoff just prior to his death. “In reality, the truth of the matter is you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive, you know what I mean?” said Prince.

Prince added, “So for you to be taking these positions that you’ve taken—and I’ve got people everywhere, so I hear all kinds of things—I’mma just say this to you. Don’t ever put me in no position where I have to defend myself. That wouldn’t be healthy for you. I have to say that.” Offset clapped back, but among conversations from fans have been criticisms toward Gillie Da Kid and Wallo. The Million Dollaz Worth of Game hosts were called out for allegedly facilitating a space where a potential beef could brew.

The podcast has long attempted to educate those in the streets about making better choices. Gillie and Wallo deliver inspiring messages to those who have faced trouble with the system, and their critics questioned this interview with allegations of divisiveness. They haven’t addressed the backlash just yet, but comments continue to pour in. Check out a few reactions below, and let us know if you think the J. Prince interview was inappropriate.

Offset Put J Prince On Blast Over His Comments About Takeoff’s Death: ‘Ain’t Nobody Going For That’

Rather than bringing his brothers back together, Takeoff’s murder last year only seems to have set off even more disputes in hip-hop. In addition to apparently sparking a physical confrontation between remaining Migos members Quavo and Offset at last night’s Grammys ceremony, it’s also led to friction between Offset and Houston rap impresario J. Prince.

Prince, in a recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, offered some criticism of Offset. Downplaying Offset’s importance to Migos’ success, he said, “The truth of the matter is, one can dance and do different things in front of these different cameras and all kinds of shit. The truth of the matter is, n***, you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. For you to be taking these positions that you taking. I got people everywhere, so I hear all kinds of things. I’ma just say this to you. Don’t never put me in no position where I have to defend myself. That wouldn’t be healthy for you.”

Offset replied in a video on Instagram, calling out Prince for his gangster image. “First off, y’all n****s speaking on my real brother,” he shot back. “. “I don’t know what the f*ck y’all n****s got going on. Y’all n****s speaking on my real brother. How dare you n****s even speak on me and Take relationship? I don’t know you from a can of paint. Y’all n****s don’t know how me and my brother rocked. You trying to clear your face. This your fifth interview… You ain’t think about his momma? You ain’t think about the family? We ain’t said nothing. Nobody said nothing but you.”

“Who y’all n****s think y’all is, John Gotti? Ain’t nobody going for none of that… And, if you heard something from me, I’ma tell you it’s gon’ come from me. Call my phone. Y’all n****s going off some ‘he say, she say’ sh*t. And y’all airing it out on interviews, talking about ‘I said this.’ Call my phone, homie. You call my phone we’ll have a conversation.”

J. Prince’s involvement appears to stem from the fact that Takeoff was murdered in Houston, and it appeared that his son, Jas Prince, was at the scene, leading to speculation and rumors that he was somehow involved in Takeoff’s death. Since then, police have arrested two suspects, but you know how that goes: once a rumor has begun to circulate, little can stop it.

Quavo Blocks Offset From Participating in GRAMMYs Takeoff Tribute Leading to Backstage Brawl

Quavo Blocks Offset From Participating in GRAMMYs Takeoff Tribute, Leading to Backstage Brawl

During the In Memoriam section of the GRAMMYs, Quavo performed a tribute to Takeoff, his recently released single “WITHOUT YOU.” The moment ended with Quavo and the supporting group Maverick City Music standing with Takeoff’s chain.

In a report from TMZ, moments before the performance started, Quavo was involved in a fight with Offset backstage. The physical encounter led to Quavo and Offset being pulled apart. It started because The GRAMMYs wanted Offset to be a part of the tribute and Quavo refused to let it happen.

According to TMZ, Offset didn’t start the fight. Also noting Quavo and Takeoff were close before his untimely death, notably releasing an album together, while Offset was outside of the group dynamic due to personal reasons.

We hope that the duo is soon able to put their issues behind them and come together.

A video of Quavo’s tribute is below.

Quavo And Offset Reportedly Got Into A Fight Backstage At The Grammys Over The Tribute For Takeoff

No one knows the reason behind the dispute that split Migos, but it doesn’t appear that Takeoff’s death has made Quavo and Offset ready to settle it yet. According to TMZ, it actually escalated last night at the Grammys, where the two men were involved in an altercation backstage and had to be separated when Quavo refused to allow Offset to participate in his tribute to their fallen bandmate.

Meanwhile, according to TMZ’s sources, it was not Offset who started the fight, which makes sense considering the comments Quavo and Takeoff made over the past year regarding his falling out with the group. While Quavo and Takeoff spoke about “disloyalty,” it seemed that Offset had angered them in some way, leading to their making a joint album without him. Fans have speculated that it was Offset suing their label, Quality Control Music, that set things off; others believe that there was a romantic tryst between Offset and Saweetie, who was previously dating Quavo.

Whatever the reason, many fans were disappointed that the two remaining Migos were unable to reconcile their differences for the tribute. However, it looks like the tribute provided another wedge between them, making a Migos reunion less likely than ever.

Offset Furiously Addresses J. Prince For Discussing His Relationship With Takeoff

J. Prince is apparently doing a media run surrounding Takeoff’s death. As the Prince family continue to face backlash following Take’s passing, they appeared on Gillie and Wallo 267’s Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast. Though the Prince family tried to clear their name from the negative press, J Prince criticized Offset for not being present in Take’s life around the time of his passing.

“This Offset dude. I ain’t gon’ leave him out because I’m real like this, you now? N***as be throwin’ rocks and hidin’ their hand,” Prince said on the podcast. “I don’t like them type of individuals. And the truth of the matter is, one can dance and different things in front of different cameras and all kinds of shit… You wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So, for you to be taking these positions you are taking – and I got people everywhere so I hear all kinds of things. I’mma just say this to you – don’t ever put me in a position where I got to defend myself.”

By now, it’s no secret that Offset’s relationship with Quavo, at least, was kind of rocky. As a result, he became distant from Takeoff in the public eye throughout the roll out for Only Built For Infinity Linx. However, Take’s death undoubtedly impacted Offset, whether or not he was around the late rapper.

Shortly after the interview with J Prince went viral, Offset slammed the Rap-A-Lot founder in a message shared to Instagram. On his Story, ‘Set expressed outrage at Prince’s comments, specifically the audacity to comment on his relationship with Takeoff. “I don’t know what the f*ck y’all got going on. You speaking on my real brother. How dare one of y’all n***as speak on me and Take relationship, n***a? I don’t know you n***as from a can of paint,” he said. Moreover, he called out the Prince family for the series of interviews they’ve done to discuss Takeoff’s passing.

“You ain’t think about his momma? You ain’t think about the family, n***a? We ain’t said nothing,” he continued. “Nobody said nothing but you n***as. Who y’all n***as think y’all n***as is? John Gotti, n***a? Ain’t nobody going for none of that. I ain’t standin’ for none of that sh*t y’all n***as talkin’ about either.”

Additionally, Offset stated that Prince’s comments derived from things he hard from the grapevine, rather than the source itself. “And, if you heard something from me, I’ma tell you it’s gon’ come from me. Call my phone. Y’all n***as going off he-say-she-say.”
