Here’s Cardi B’s Super Bowl Commercial That Was Deemed Too Risqué To Actually Air In Full During The Super Bowl

If you caught Cardi B in a commercial for NYX Professional Makeup during Super Bowl LVIII, you haven’t seen the whole thing.

Entertainment Weekly reports that only half the ad, which shows the “Up” rapper touting the brand’s Duck Pump lip gloss, was approved for the broadcast. The rest of the commercial — the part that’s online only — was deemed too risqué for a joke involving men mishearing “Duck Plump” and administering the beauty product where it doesn’t belong. When Cardi B is informed of this unfortunate development, she asks, “They put it where?”

First, Deadpool couldn’t make a pegging joke. And now this? What’s this country coming to?

“As a female-led brand with female creators behind the work, we’re proud of our creative idea, which flips the script on male stereotypes with lighthearted humor,” NYX Professional Makeup general manager Yasmin Dastmalchi said in a statement. “As a bold brand rooted in entertainment, and as a first-time advertiser on Super Bowl Sunday, our intention was to make everyone laugh during the big game. We hope you love it as much as we do!”

Any ad that doesn’t feature a pickleball-playing talking baby is a winner to me. You can watch the full-length commercial above.

Ice Spice’s Debut Super Bowl Commercial Will Show Off The Rapper’s Sweet Side With A Soda Partnership

Taylor Swift’s domination of NFL coverage has sprouted a new subset of at-home viewers. While avid football fans are excited to watch the epic sports showdown at this year’s Super Bowl, others are tuning in for a different genre of entertainment: Some non-sports fans’ interest in the evening is Usher’s halftime show performance. The other remaining curiosity is lasered in on what witty commercials are set to air throughout the broadcast.

Today (January 9), Billboard exclusively revealed that “In Ha Mood” rapper Ice Spice has been tapped for a coveted advertisement slot. As Starry’s newest celebrity ambassador, Ice Spice will lend her likeness to the company for its upcoming Super Bowl commercial. You might recall Ice Spice’s signature drink deal with Dunkin last year, but this is quite different.

Instead of formulating a new beverage concoction, Ice Spice will simply sit pretty as she sips on PepsiCo’s newest lemon-lime soda, which was introduced in 2023. This national coverage is just the fizz she needs going into the promotion of her forthcoming debut studio album. A representative for the company referred to the partnership with Ice Spice as “a no-brainer.”

“Ice Spice’s charm and charisma are unmatched, making her the perfect fit for the brand’s first Super Bowl commercial,” read the statement.

Ice Spice echoed that in her note shared with Billboard. “I’m hyped to star in the first-ever STARRY Super Bowl commercial,” she said. “Trust me. STARRY is a vibe.

Cardi B & Offset’s Super Bowl Commercial For McDonald’s Celebrates Love

Cardi B and Offset’s Super Bowl commercial for McDonald’s was a wholesome and loving affair. Moreover, their signature McDonald’s meal (for two, obviously) will launch on Valentine’s Day. In the commercial, though, they are just one of many couples who talk about sharing and enjoying their food together. Of course, some of them have different takes on sharing fries than others. Still, even in the most stacked advertising night of the year, it’s hard to deny they stood out. Overall, it made for a tender and filling ad with a lot of heart.

During most of the commercial, the couples talk about what their partner wants. For example, Cardi B said that Offset always gets a Quarter Pounder and a Hi-C. “He a simple man,” she said as they sat together at a Mickey D’s table. Moreover, the other couples debated about getting “[partner] points” for letting them eat from their fries. “If it’s mine, it’s hers,” the Migo said. Surely, they’ll enjoy many more McDonald’s meals together, especially now that they have their own. if you’re curious, it comes with a cheeseburger, Quarter Pounder with cheese, and barbecue sauce. Also, you’ll enjoy a large order of fries, an apple pie, the aforementioned large Hi-C, and a large Coke.

Furthermore, Cardi took to Twitter to excitedly gush about the ad. “Y’all saw our commercial? PARAPAPAPA I’m F*ckin him! …The CARDI & Offset meal is coming February 14 at your closest McDonald’s!!!” The fast food giant also had to hop on and give a little promo of their own. “Introducing the Cardi B & Offset meal, coming February 14,” they captioned a picture of them sitting with the bag in front of them. Oh, the McDonald’s bag, not the bag they got for participating in the commercial.

Meanwhile, Cardi B and Offset recently performed during one of the many Super Bowl parties this weekend. While they’ve been dealing with some unfortunate beef as of late, nothing does the trick quite like a shared meal to get their spirits up. Let us know what you think of their ad and stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on the Super Bowl.

Diddy’s Super Bowl Commercial Highlights Past Catchy Hits

Diddy’s Super Bowl commercial for UberEats ended up being one of the funniest this year. Moreover, the skit is based on a group of executives trying to get Diddy to make a new song for the Uber One membership. “Diddy don’t do jingles,” his threatening bodyguard tells them, as he sits in silence in his office. However, the commercial then goes into the studio, where Combs and his entourage listen to prospective hitmakers. In fact, they’re all bonafide hitmakers, as you’re bound to recognize all these tracks. Even if they fit slightly into the “one-hit wonder” category, these melodies are more far-reaching than some entire discographies.

Still, it was pretty funny seeing the Bad Boy chief give his take on these “auditions.” Starting things off was singer-turned-minister Montrell Jordan, who rapped a UberEats-centric version of his 1995 hit “This Is How We Do It.” Moreover, Diddy cheered on everyone in the booth- well, almost everyone, but we’ll get to that. Next up was Donna Lewis, who spun her 1996 cut “I Love You Always Forever.” Also, singer-turned-farmer Kelis sang a remixed version of her iconic track “Milkshake” from 2003. Don’t remember that one? Well, it brings all the boys to the yard, and they’re like “it’s better than yours.”

However, once Swedish duo Ylvis hit the booth with a rendition of their YouTube sensation “What Does The Fox Say?”, Diddy asked them to stop their repeated barking. Then, they retorted in Swedish, and the mogul’s right-hand man responded perfectly back. Last, but certainly not least, singer Haddaway emerged from behind Ylvis to sing his absolute smasher “What Is Love.” Overall, it was a nostalgic, brief, and sweet celebration of some of the biggest earworms of the last thirty years or so.

Meanwhile, the 53-year-old took to Twitter to share his excitement over his second Super Bowl commercial. “Proud to be starring in my second #SuperBowl commercial! Watch it tonight during the 2nd quarter!” he wrote. Also, his flame Yung Miami expressed support of her own via the app. “Papi only does HITS,” she wrote excitedly, sharing the commercial in full. Speaking of which, you can see the whole UberEats commercial from Diddy above. Of course, stay logged into HNHH for the latest on the Super Bowl and its amazing commercials.
