50 Cent Is Looking For A New Home For ‘Power’ After Starz Contract: ‘Only 5 Months Left On My Deal!’

50 Cent has been less than happy with the current situation at Starz, where he currently produces the Power universe of television shows. He recently complained about the network’s treatment on social media, threatening to relocate his shows after being frustrated by its refusal to announce any renewals for the next few seasons of the handful of Power spinoffs currently airing. Now, after voicing his frustrations and still receiving no new information on those renewals, he says he’s had enough.

“Everybody ready to work,” he wrote in the caption of his latest Instagram post, which included a video of a mixed martial artist asking for a role in Power during a post-fight interview. “I’m trying to buy my universe back from STARZ so it goes where ever I go. Only 5 months left in my deal, and I’m not on the air for 6 months so We Out!”

In his previous posts, 50 explained his reasoning. “They renewed High Town, and FORCE is the highest-rated show they have sitting in limbo,” he argued. “If I told you how much d*mb shit I deal with over here, you would think they all went to school on a small yellow bus.”

The finale of Power Book IV: Force is set to air on April 17.

50 Cent Calls Out STARZ Again: “6 Months Till I Have Anything New”

50 cent Moneybagg Yo

50 Cent and STARZ are still going at it. As fans inch closer to the end of the first season of his Power Book IV: Force series, 50 Cent is unhappy that he will not have a product on TV for the next six months.

“I have 4 more episodes of FORCE, then I don’t have anything airing on STARZ for six months so y’all know the vibes,” 50 said. “FORCE is the highest rated premier of any show on the network. when they take too long to green light it, it pushes the production time line back. after tonight’s episode there are 3 left, April 10 it’s a wrap. Then 6 months till i have anything new.”

After 50’s statement, fans showed up in support:

50 Cent Threatens To Pull ‘Power’ From Starz (Again) After Dealing With ‘Dumb Sh*t’ For Too Long

50 Cent’s Power series — along with its assorted spinoffs — has long been one of the hottest things on TV, driven by his fervent fanbase and strong social media buzz. However, that hasn’t stopped 50, who executive produces the shows, as well as having a recurring role on the original Power, from running into frustrations with Starz, the network that carries the shows. Although he’s expressed his feelings about the network before, apparently things have reached a new head, leaving the rapper-turned-mogul ready to pack his bags after his 2017 deal expires according to his latest post on Instagram.

Posting a string of images of luggage, including a gif from Oran “Juice” Jone’s “The Rain” video, 50 once again threatened to take his talents elsewhere. “This is me packing my stuff, STARZ,” he taunted in the caption of the gif. “Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They renewed High Town and [Power Book IV] FORCE is the highest-rated show they have it sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb sh*t I deal with over here.”

In the other photos, he jokingly kept the motif running, as a series of dialogue exchanges with partners and employees. “Anil, get your f*cking bags in the car now, we are out of here,” read one. “take that f*cking sign off the door no more G-unit film and television over here.” Another cracked, “Michael, what the f*ck are you takings so long for, let’s go! Why are you folding all of your clothing so perfect, we can just get new clothes when we get where we going.”

Whether this tactic results in Starz renewing Force for another season or allowing 50 to truly walk out the door, one this is certain: 50 Cent will find a way to make even contract negotiations seem entertaining.

50 Cent Reacts to Surgeon Who Saved His Life After He Was Shot Pleading Guilty to Health Care Fraud

50 Cent has been the reason for a lot of the Starz network success since the hit show Power debuted in 2014. The show has spawned 3 spinoffs and as a result of the Power universe’s success, 50 has been able to greenlight other shows for the network. That doesn’t go to say that Fif has not had his fair share of problems with Starz. In a recent Instagram post, Fif seemed to have had enough and is ready to pull the Power universe from Starz.

“This is me packing my stuff, STARZ Sucks,” Fif captioned an instagram post with a video of a man packing a suitcase. “My deal is up over here I’m out. They Renewed High town and FORCE is the highest rated show they have it sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb shit I deal with over here.”

Fif continued his tirade in multiple IG posts. “Hold my calls i’m traveling, getting the fvck away from STARZ.”

In other posts, he posted pictures of people packing their luggage and captioned the pictures, calling on executives from his G-Unit Film & Television company, including Anil Kurian, Head of Development for G-Unit Film & Television to pack their bags.

“Anil get your fvcking bag’s in the car now, we are out of here, take that fvcking sign off the door no more G-unit film and television over here,” he wrote.

In 2018, Fif signed a 4 year deal with the network that was reportedly worth $150 million. As he enters the final ear in his contact, it might be possible we see Fif leave the network and take the Power universe with him.
