The team said once it heard about the allegations, it immediately hired an independent law firm to investigate the claims.  After going over the firm’s findings, Celtic executives decided to suspend Udoka for the season.

Udoka released a statement and said he’s sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation.

“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down,” Udoka said. “I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”

Nia Long Speaks On Fiancée Ime Udoka Cheating Scandal

nia Nia Long Says Netflix Movie 'A Fatal Affair' Lacked Diversity: 'Maybe Three People on the Crew Were Black'

Earlier this week, a story broke that Boston Celtics head coach, Ime Udoka would face a possible suspension for a consensual, but “inappropriate” relationship with a woman in the Celtics organization. Word quickly spread across the news with many people, sports commentators, and social media voicing their opinions on the situation. However, pretty much everybody asked the same question: “Why would you cheat on Nia Long?”

Nia initially kept her silence on the situation, but earlier today she broke her silence in a statement to TMZ.

“The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me,” Nia said. “I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.”

Sources close to the family told the news outlet that Nia and her 10 year old son had officially moved to Boston 2 weeks ago, when Udoka was fully aware his affair with the married front office staffer was going to blow up. In fact, Udoka knew as far back as July that the team knew of the affair, and was launching an investigation. Long apparently knew nothing of the affair until a few days before it made headlines.

Since news broke of the affair, Udoka has been suspended for the entire 2022-2023 basketball season and has become the butt of many jokes online, with people bashing him for cheating on Nia Long.

SOURCE SPORTS: Suns/Mercury Owner Robert Sarver Announces He’s Selling Both Teams

Robert Sarver

Owner of the NBA’s Phoenix Suns and WNBA’s Mercury, Robert Sarver announced he’s started the process to sell both franchises.

In a statement, Sarver said in “our unforgiving climate,” it’s clear that whatever good he could do in the future is outweighed by things he’s said in the past.

This comes after Sarver was suspended for one year and fined $10 million by the NBA after an independent investigation into the Suns’ and Mercury’s workplace.  The investigation found he used racist language and conducted unequal treatment of female employees as well as harsh treatment of employees that was related to bullying.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said he “fully supports the decision” by Sarver to sell both teams. “This is the right next step for the organization and community,” Silver said.

Floyd Mayweather Confirms Rematch With Connor McGregor Next Year

Conor McGregor Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather has confirmed that next year he will fight Connor McGregor in his first rematch with the MMA fighter since their 2017 fight.

Mayweather spoke to the The Daily Mail where he said that the fight would happen, but is unsure whether the fight will be an exhibition match or a professional boxing match.

“I want to go out there this weekend and have fun [against Mikuru Asakura]. Then I have another exhibition Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023,” Mayweather told the publication.

When asked whether the match would be a professional fight or exhibition, Mayweather did not directly answer the question, but said that he choses to do exhibition fights because the fighters don’t hit as hard.

‘So, guys like Conor McGregor and guys that don’t really hit hard such as YouTubers or UFC guys, I don’t really mind colliding with those kinds of individuals but nothing where I am going to put myself in a position where I am going to harm myself or hurt myself.’

Regardless of whether its an exhibition or professional fight, it means a payday for both of the fighters. In their last bout, Mayweather earned a reported $275 million from the fight whereas McGregor earned $85 million.

LeBron Channels His Inner MJ And Kobe By Going Bald, The Internet Reacts

lebron bald

Earlier today, LeBron James shared a photo of his new haircut. The 37 year old basketball veteran seems to be taking inspiration from other basketball greats such as Michael Jordan and Kobe by going completely bald.

LeBron posted a picture of himself on his Instagram story, still in the barber chair with his cape on sporting the fully bald look. He added laughing emoji’s and the bald grandpa emoji.

LeBron’s hairline has a been a point of conversation on the internet for years. Every year, people would poke fun about how his hairline would recede and how he wore a headband to make his hair loss less obvious. The internet would even point out if LeBron seemed to get hair loss surgery if he came into a new season with a crisp hairline. Even some people on the internet thought that the GOAT was using a filter.

Shortly after the picture made its rounds on the internet, people seemed to congratulate LeBron for finally letting his hair go. “It’s about time my brother” one Twitter user wrote.

LeBron has not said anything about his recent transformation, but he surely will address it when a reporter asks him about it following the season opener.

Drake and LeBron James Sued $10M Over Rights For Hockey Documentary

LeBron James Drake

LeBron James and Drake are being sued for allegedly stealing the rights to a movie about a segregated hockey league.  Billy Hunter, the former head of the NBA players union, claims he holds the exclusive rights to produce any movie about Canada’s old Colored Hockey League, an all black hockey league founded in 1895.

The lawsuit states Lebron and Drake used their production companies to go behind Hunter’s back and sign a deal with the authors of a book their Black Ice documentary is based on.

The authors, George and Darril Fosty, are also listed as defendants, citing breach of contract for allegedly violating the agreement. However, the authors say no one violated any agreements because a documentary is different from a movie.

James and Drake’s documentary, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Hubert Davis, is being showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 10.

Representatives for LeBron James and Drake haven’t made any comments on the allegations.

Iman Shumpert Opens Up On ‘This Car Ain’t Stolen’

iman

While his infamous family has been in the spotlight, Iman Shumpert, has been preparing for the release of his anticipated first studio album “This Car Ain’t Stolen”. Initially set to release the summer of 2020, #TCAS has been magic in the making. Known for reciting the phrase “We Own It”, Iman. doesn’t only take pride in the album, it’s the first project to drop on his own record label, “A Sinners Peace Records”.

The sixteen-track album is a story Iman has been ready to tell for quite some time. The album is produced by “Hey Samyr” who worked with artists like Rick Ross, Jada Kiss and DeRay Davis.

“Iman. is very versatile and has a record for everyone. Be prepared to hear different sides of him throughout his album. He is very lyrical and his bars always include a double entendre.”- Hey Samyr.

His summer single off the album, “Drop Ya Glasses” is a remix to Eve’s familiar “Blow Your Mind” track w/ Gwen Stefani and is a smooth addition to the track list. “Should Be Dead”, is a personal track that explains a story close to his heart, reminiscing on a near death experience filled with dope lyrics and a hype flow. Another hitter is “Prada”, an ode to celebration of self and fly fashion.

“This Car Ain’t Stolen” is about OWNERSHIP. Owning your art, Owning your voice, Ownership. No matter the age nor the type of vehicle, being classified “Black” we are constantly reminded that we as a race are seen as unworthy and a danger to those around us. For a long time I struggled with the science of how normalized that was and how I became desensitized to seeing it. My older self sees this all as a game, a game we plan to win. They literally put the most dangerous one behind the controller and now I got control. When people listen to this, I want them to understand this is not the basketball version of my mother’s son. But this is “Mani” that never knew if he’d ever make it. PLAY TO WIN. DRIVE SAFE. THIS🚙❌STOLEN”

– Iman. #TCAS
