Kenny Muney Recruits Key Glock For Laid-Back Track “Paper Route”

It’s already been a good year for Kenny Muney fans. The Memphis rapper unleashed his album The Blue Seasons back in March, followed by various singles. Now, he’s preparing to deliver a new edition of the project, The Blue Seasons Super Deluxe. It’s scheduled to drop tomorrow (December 6) and will feature an impressive 12 new tracks.

To get listeners ready for what’s to come, however, Kenny has dropped off a new music video for his song “Paper Route” featuring fellow Tennessee native Key Glock. The laid-back track features boastful bars about being “married to the money.” The simplistic music video shows the two artists flaunting their whips, in the studio, and more. This isn’t the first video supporters have seen from Kenny Muney in recent weeks, as he also dropped videos to accompany “Jacuzzi On The Roof” and “I Ain’t Roddy” late last month. Both of those songs are also expected to appear on The Blue Seasons Super Deluxe.

The release of Kenny Muney’s new music video comes after he called out Ralo and DJ Akademiks in October over Young Dolph. He accused them of using the trial of his late friend and collaborator’s alleged killers as clickbait. “Quit speaking on situations wit them folks on the other side cause it ain’t a game!!” he wrote at the time. “If anybody know @youngdolph he don’t give a damn what nobody else f*ckin wit who let my n***a rest!!” Ralo later confirmed that they’d worked things out, admitting that Kenny Muney was right.

Ghais Guevara Is Down “4L” On Outstanding New Single

If his recent singles – including “Flowers,” “Leprosy,” and “Camera Shy” – are anything to go by, then Ghais Guevara will drop one of 2025’s best albums very soon. Moreover, his next project Goyard Ibn Said continues this persona and releases on January 24 of next year. The Philly-based rapper and producer just solidified his upcoming LP’s greatness with another track drop: “4L.” It’s a bouncy, progressive, exciting, and pretty conflicted banger with some amazing sample flips and instrumental additions.

Also, it certainly helps that Ghais Guevara’s witty charisma and compelling turns of phrase make the rapping display on “4L” an absolute treat. The song is kind of conflicted, as mentions of men cowering in darkness and of sin-loving honor roll girlies seem to point to primal urges clashing with present realities. It’s all a tad vague, but these lyrical mentions are certainly evocative and work well with the rambunctious instrumental. Also, this is nothing new for Goyard. His condemnations of political and economic systems pair with his more grounded and quotidian perspective as a hip-hop head, resulting in timelessly resistant anthems.

What’s most impressive about “4L” and the other Goyard Ibn Said singles, though, is just how much Ghais Guevara seems to have improved his songwriting chops and the complementary elements of his music. There was definitely more controlled chaos in his earlier work like BlackBolshevik and There Will Be No Super-Slave, and while we aren’t ruling the possibility of that out for his next album, this refinement and focus doesn’t compromise on talent, skill, message, or ethos.

Ghais Guevara’s “4L”

Quotable Lyrics
All that glory don’t mean nothing, though we took it on the chin,
‘Til the gravity from tension starts to cave us both in,
We was tripping and relapsing, we fell victim to the passion,
Stay provoking me with rhapsodies, you about to make it happen

Lefty Gunplay & Hitta J3 Capitalize On Their Nods From Kendrick Lamar With “Stoopid”

It’s a West Coast takeover on “Stoopid,” one of Lefty Gunplay’s newest tracks. It’s off his most recent project, Most Valuable Gangbanger, which is his fourth tape of 2024. He’s quickly become a prolific artist after getting his start professionally last year. By the way, all of those tapes we mentioned are his first four of his career. That hard work has been paying off for the California rapper, as he landed a big-time feature that will carry a lot of momentum for him going forward. Of course, we are talking about his placement on Kendrick Lamar’s now viral hit off of GNX, “tv off.” But don’t get it twisted, he’s got talent and it’s all over this track below.

As we said, it’s an all-Cali link-up, with Hitta J3, 19-year-old YS, and Bozo in the mix. Speaking of J3, he also got the chance to shine on Lamar’s project. You can find him on the title track deeper into the record. Overall, this track is a major banger, with an excellent gangsta rap-like beat. That comes courtesy of Damn James! (Kanye West, Meek Mill, Ella Mai) and Ty Dolla $ign. It’s mean, it’s lean, and extremely hard-hitting right from the jump. J3 really kicks the track off right with some intimidating bars and nice flow over the slower production. Gunplay follows up right after, then YS, with Bozo maybe having the best verse of them all. But no one misses and it’s a track we can Gunplay hanging his hat on.

Kendrick Lamar & SZA Went More Commercial But Remained Authentic With “All The Stars”

Rapper and singer duos are some of the best types of tandems in music. There are tons of great ones out there like any Sampha and MC collab, Travis Scott and The Weekend, as well as Kanye West and Rihanna. Those are just a few, but you cannot forget to throw Kendrick Lamar and SZA into that mix. They may not have the most instantly recognizable collabs out there. However, when they link, it’s never a miss. Their history traces back to SZA’s first project Z back in 2014 on “Babylon.” You then have “Doves in the Wind” off of Ctrl and after that, it’s “All The Stars.”

This Black Panther soundtrack lead single was the one that showed off their pop crossover ability. It’s easily their most commercial-sounding release yet. After all, it was made for a movie. However, it doesn’t come off as tacky or as a money grab. SZA’s vocals on her verse and the chorus are some of her most stunning and emotion-filled of her career. Kendrick keeps it more lowkey, but when you read into the lyrics, they cut deep and are extremely relatable. Especially with the track being about how scary it can be to chase after what you want/deserve. It’s up to you where you feel this effort of theirs should be ranked amongst the rest, now with “luther” and “gloria” in the mix. But this cut deserves its flowers due its incredible impact on a massive blockbuster, as well as listeners of all ages.

Kodak Black Has His “Trill Bill” Fan-Favorite With “News Matt”

Kodak Black’s new mixtape Trill Bill hit streaming platforms over the weekend, and frankly, it’s been a nice surprise. For us, the hitmaker can be hit or miss sometimes, with not all of his records being the most consistent. However, in keeping this project to just 11 tracks, there was very little margin for error. After listening to it a few times over the last couple of days, we can say that Kodak took his time with this one.

Tracks like the opener, “Cherish The Moment,” the risk that is “Dirty Revolver,” and “Burn It Up,” are ones that we have taken a liking to. Now, we are adding the second cut “News Matt” to that growing list. It hears Kodak addressing his haters and people that have turned their backs on him. It’s empowering, real, and relatable, which is why it’s become the fan favorite so far. At the time of writing, the music video for “News Matt” has over 506,000 views on YouTube. That equates to it being number 18 on trending for music on the platform. See what all the hype is about with the link below.

It made me think, “What else you gotta say that you ain’t sayin’?”
Like anything I ask you, acting deaf like you want me to beg

Metro Boomin Completed A Perfect Sequence Two Years Ago Today With “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)”

Metro Boomin had always been a very respectable and exciting producing talent prior to what we know him to be now. To clarify, he is now indeed one of the most in-demand visionaries of the modern rap era. But back in the mid-2010s, he was more a name on the rise. He had some hit records under his belt, with a majority of them being with Future. Their effortless connection on tracks is a big reason why he’s at where he’s at. Overall, there aren’t many better rapper/producer duos than these trap icons. But they boldly decided to take a break from collaborating following the release of Pluto’s 2017 self-titled album.

Things still wound up working out for both of them, though. Fewtch was still making wavy and ignorant bangers, and Metro was honing in on creating a more recognizable sound. However, everyone wanted to see them get back in the lab together at some point soon. Well, it took about five years too long, as they finally linked back up on Metro’s sophomore effort, HEROES & VILLAINS. Fans wouldn’t have to wait until the backend of the tracklist to hear them again, as Future took us back in time to his dominant 2015 run with a spectacular and fiery performance on the second cut, “Superhero” with Chris Brown. It was a ceremonious event and remains to be one for us every time we revisit this timeless track. Making it even more special is how well it capitalized on the grand and operatic opener “On Time.” It’s one of the best back-to-back sequences in hip-hop in years on a top-tier trap record.

Kodak Black Challenges Himself On “Trill Bill Standout “Dirty Revolver”

A special shout out goes to AnotherWav, one of the producers on Kodak Black’s new mixtape, Trill Bill. The beat he gives the Pompano Beach, Florida rapper is quite unique. That’s thanks to the piano melodies, sometimes static qualities, and woozy sound effects. But to be honest, Kodak Black makes it seem like light work, as he manages to find a pocket just seconds into the two-minute track. On top of his flows, there are some straight up comedic and sticky sets of lines. You can tell he was having putting this one together and just letting the instrumental take him wherever he felt was right.

The womb, I’m a motherf***in’ goon / Hey, pop that boy balloon, pew and zoom / Fredo in the dune, you beef with me, your doom / Flippa finna be zoom, he comin’ home in June / Thuggin’ every June, ain’t no lovey-dovey do.” These are just a few of the memorable portions, with one another being below, too. However, this is just one of many surprising and fun moments on Kodak’s new record. The first leg of the 11-song tape is especially strong with tracks like the opener, “Cherish The Moment,” the subsequent “News Matt,” among others. If you haven’t been a fan of his lately, or just in general, we think you should still give Trill Bill a try.

Juice Wrld’s Estate Fulfills The Rapper’s Dream By Dropping “Best Friend” With Fall Out Boy

It’s been a contentious weekend for Juice WRLD fans since his estate finally put out The Party Never Ends. It’s the supposed final album overall from the late and beloved Chicago multi-talent. With so much more in the vault, it’s sort of hard to definitively say that this third posthumous release will be the one to leave off on. As we said, the rapper and singer’s supporters are having incredibly mixed feelings on the final product. With that in mind, there’s a chance the act’s team may reconsider their previous statements about it being the last LP ever. Despite the harsh feedback from listeners and other hip-hop names, they are getting the stamp of approval for this one move.

That would be the fact that Juice WRLD’s reps were able to put together a collaboration with pop rock band, Fall Out Boy. Fans have said that this is something that both artists were wanting to do when Juice was still with us. Besides having a mutual respect and admiration for one another, Fall Out Boy is actually a Chicago-based band. Because of that, the fact that this now exists in some form now is special enough in the eyes of the fans. Patrick Stump, the lead singer for the band, and Juice even get to share the chorus in the waning moments. On the surface, this might be a random collab, but deep down, this one means a lot to quite a few people.

50 Cent Drops New Verse Out Of Nowhere On O.T & Elesia Iimura’s “Prayed Up”

A new 50 Cent verse wasn’t predicted to close out the year. The mogul collaborates with emerging stars O.T and singer Elesia Iimura on the faith-driven track “Prayed Up.” While 50 supplies his signature ghetto Quran, newcomers O.T and Elesia display individual talents in catchy vocals and hooks. The track has swiftly captured attention, blending raw emotion with polished artistry. As a follow-up to his collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the song “Beep Beep” in 2023, the new track is his second verse since 2020.

The song is perfect for hip-hop’s transition into the new year. Elesia Iimura’s velvety, emotive delivery contrasts beautifully with O.T’s assertive verses, while 50 Cent’s rapid-fire bars add a raw edge reminiscent of his early classics. Together, they craft a soundscape that balances vulnerability and power, drawing listeners into their narrative of gratitude, redemption, and overcoming life’s obstacles. Before “Prayed Up,” O.T and Elesia caught popularity overseas with their previous song, “Chooky,” featuring Busta Rhymes. Makes sense for 50 Cent to hop on the new track following him and Busta’s roast session over hairlines on social media last month.

“Prayed Up” celebrates perseverance and demonstrates their unique synergy. For 50 Cent, the track serves as a nod to his roots and an acknowledgment of hip-hop’s evolving future. The piece demonstrates his ability to remain relevant while championing new talent. Hopefully, this will be the first of many new tracks by the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ creator.
