Tyga Calls On Chris Brown On “Nasty”

Chris Brown and Tyga are keeping the winter season hot with a brand-new single. The two artists reconnected for their new single, “Nasty,” which, as the title suggests, is a bedroom banger. MANMAN and Murphy Kid join forces for the production, merging a West Coast bounce with R&B’s smoothness for an undeniable bop. At the same time, Tyga leans closer toward Breezy’s melodious styling on this one for an infectious smash record.

“Nasty” is the latest single that extends Chris Brown and Tyga’s collaborative partnership. Over the years, they’ve certainly earned a reputation for creating magic on wax, beginning with the Fan Of A Fan mixtape. As soon as it dropped, the 2010 effort produced hit records like “Deuces” and “No Bullshit.”

Five years later, the two reconnected for Fan Of A Fan: The Album. This time, they connected with a slew of artists that helped emphasize the gangsta rap inspiration behind the project. ScHoolboy Q, Boosie Badazz, 50 Cent, Pusha T, T.I., and Fat Trel appeared in the project. Upon its release, the album debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Besides their recent collab, the two have had extremely productive years. Chris Brown blessed fans with his tenth studio album, Breezy, and hit the road alongside Lil Baby for the “One Of Them Ones” tour. Additionally, he dropped a re-release of the project including his holiday singles, “It’s Giving Christmas” and “No Time Like Christmas.”

Though Tyga hasn’t released a project since 2019’s Legendary, he’s continued to deliver a streak of smash records, like “Booty Dancer,” “Fantastic,” and the Jhené Aiko and Pop Smoke-assisted, “Sunshine.”

Morray Drops “Da Rant”

This latest single is simply called “Da Rant,” and it is perhaps his most personal track yet. Although Morray has always included personal stories in his music, this latest track is on a whole new level. From start to finish, he goes deep into his past as he describes the people he associated with and the things he saw. Overall, it makes for a compelling listen, and the bars speak to Morray’s growth as an artist.

Furthermore, the production is also a demonstration of how Morray has matured. The beat here is much more progressive than what he typically raps over as there are some unique shifts throughout. Central Cee’s made his mark across American in 2022. From the release of his sophomore project, 23 to the viral success of “Doja,” the British rapper left a mark on the year and will undoubtedly have a grip on 2023.

Latto Is Back With “Another Nasty Song”

Throughout her career, Latto has built herself something of a reputation for making salacious songs. Like many other female rap divas, she’s not afraid to let her confidence shine through as she talks her shit. Of course, this sort of attitude comes with its share of haters, but the 23-year-old isn’t letting them phase her.

On her aptly titled new single, “Another Nasty Song,” the “Sunshine” artist dishes about some of her bedroom preferences. “‘Cause this here another nasty song / He love it when I pull up wit’ no panties on,” she saucily teases on the chorus.

Other bold lyrics from the rising recording artist include “Gangster bitch, I make him wear my chain whilе he drillin’ / And me and my bitch might run a train on this n*gga.”

The sexy single comes following a massive leak that Latto’s unreleased music was a part of. Hundreds of tracks that she had locked and loaded in her arsenal were sadly shared with the world without her permission, though they’ve made their admiration of certain titles very clear.

Latto heard her fan’s praise loud and clear and was quick to officially unveil “Another Nasty Song” with them as a result.

After sharing her own 777 album back in March, the reality star has had an impressive 2022. Most recently, we saw her work with GloRilla on “FTCU” and on Chlöe’s “For The Night” single.

Stream Latto’s “Another Nasty Song” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, let us know what your thoughts are in the comments.

Birdman & Juvenile Represent On “Ali”

Birdman and Juvenile reconnected this week to deliver some new heat paying homage to one of the greatest boxers of all time. The Cash Money co-founder and the Hot Boy alumni joined forces for their new song, “Ali.” The record serves as a tribute to Muhammad Ali as Birdman and Juvenile compare their greatness to the late boxer. The smooth production — handled by D-Roc and twoprxducers — and melodious vocal performance make for an excellent return for J.A.G. In the video, they bring fans back to NOLA while also reflecting on humble beginnings and overcoming adversity. “Ali” is truly a motivational single that captures the excellent chemistry between Birdman and Juvenile after all these years.

Birdman and Juvenile joined forces as J.A.G in 2019 for their joint project, Just Another Gangsta. The collaborative outing contained 12 songs in total with a sole feature coming from NLE Choppa. Hopefully, a new project from the two arrives sooner rather than later.

Birdman hasn’t necessarily released a ton of music but he has delivered a handful of collabs. He teamed up with Quavo and Takeoff on “Big Stunna” off of Only Built For Infinity Links. Prior to that, he assisted rising Louisiana rapper Rob49 on “Hustler’s Anthem V2.”

Though Juvenile hasn’t released a ton of music in recent years, he did inspire one of the biggest artists of 2021. NBA Youngboy paid tribute to Juvenile’s 400 Degreez album art with the artwork for 3800 Degrees.

Hopefully, new music from J.A.G comes soon. We’re also hopeful that Juvenile will deliver even more solo music in 2023.

The Weeknd Debuts “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” From “Avatar 2”

Disney’s preparing the release of Avatar 2: The Way Of The Water. Ahead of its release, The Weeknd released the first single from the soundtrack.

The new song initially appeared in the teaser for the movie earlier this month on The Weeknd’s page. Swedish House Mafia and composer, Simon Franglen, who scored the film, co-produce The Weeknd’s new single for Avatar 2.

Jon Landau, Avatar 2: Way Of The Water producer, explained how the song came together. It began after Landau met The Weeknd during the After Hours til Dawn Tour this summer.

“When he came in, Swedish House Mafia came up with the concept of the song, and they embraced working with our composer, Simon Franglen. And together, they came up with a song that is true to who The Weeknd is but is organic to our film,” Landau told Complex. “And that’s what was important to us. We didn’t want just something to come on at the end of the movie that felt outside of it, but he embraced that collaboration, and his voice, oh my God.”

The Weeknd is coming off of an incredibly strong year. At the top of 2022, he released his new album, Dawn FM — an undeniably solid body of work. Since then, he hit the road in support of his latest project. As a result of his charitable efforts, the 2022 CMW Allan Slaight Humaniratian Spirit Award was awarded to The Weeknd. The Canadian singer’s latest honor recognized his philanthropic efforts.

“That this is a Canadian award sits deep with me,” he said. “Allan and The Slaight Family Foundation are known across the country for their generous philanthropy, and it means a lot to be acknowledged, and is an honour to be recognized along with the legendary Canadian artists who received this award before me.”
