NLE Choppa Addresses Backlash To His Support Of The LGBTQ+ Community

NLE Choppa says he has no plans to stop showing love to the LGBTQ community and thanked them for their continued support of his popular single, “Slut Me Out 2.” He made the comments while addressing criticism of and speculation about his sexuality during a recent concert. He also confirmed he’ll be making an appearance at Atlanta Pride.

“If you’re a person that had something to say about me regarding if I’m gay or if I’m this or that, well, this might make you a little bit angrier or more intrigued as you try to conclude who I am,” he stated. “I know who I am deeply and I appreciate who I am. I will be doing my justice by coming to Atlanta for Black Pride, showing love to the LGBTQ community, which has been one of the best audiences streaming ‘Sl*t Me Out 2.’” He concluded: “Just as they pour love into me, I am giving that love back.”

It’s not the first time Choppa has voiced his support for the LGBTQ+ community regarding their love for the single. Back in April, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m noticing the LGBTQ community showing so much love to ‘Slut Me Out 2.’ And I Simply Want To Say Thank You.. IDC what’s normalized as a rapper, I was raised to F*ck with who f*ck with you! So thank y’all for appreciating my craft.. My music For ALL we do NO Discrimination [heart emoji].”

NLE Choppa Shuts Down Homophobic Fan While Continuing To Show The LGBTQ Community Love

NLE Choppa has made one thing clear in recent weeks, he’s in support of the LGBTQ community. Back in April, he released his new single “SLUT ME OUT 2.” Since then, the song has racked up more than 21 million streams and sparked a viral dance. Choppa seems well aware that quite a bit of support for the song is coming from his fans in the LGBTQ community and he hasn’t been shy about thanking them for their support on repeated occasions. But as homophobia still persists in his fan base he’s had to clap back at fans making disrespectful comments.

In his most recent embrace of his LGBTQ fans, he declared on Twitter that he wants to do a special performance of “SLUT ME OUT 2” for pride month. “I want to perform Slut Me Out 2 at a pride event in return of the love you all showed me,” a tweet he made reads. But when a fan responded with a homophobic comment, Choppa had to clear things up. He posted a reply explaining why he had love for his gay and transgender fans. “I’m secure, I know who I am. Show love it won’t hurt and also You do know women are apart of the LGBTQ community right you gone hate them too ? The song is even raunchier than the original and has come with a promotional campaign featuring a number of NSFW moments. That included a viral photo shoot where he recreated a classic Tupac bathtub photo using excessive chains and rubber ducks. It also included a hilarious performance of the sex anthem with some of the last people you’d expect, his own parents. Now the song is once again creeping into territory you wouldn’t expect given how raunchy it is.

The song is making its impact on graduation ceremonies around the world, though unsurprisingly it’s not because they’re actually playing the track. NLE Choppa Affirms That He Makes His Raunchiest Songs While Celibate

We may have an explanation as to why NLE Choppa has been in his freakiest mindset of his career. According to HipHopDX, the exuberant Memphis, Tennessee rapper made a hilarious guest appearance on the Fame & Flavor cooking show, hosted by social media figure Cugine. He himself is an entertaining voice on the internet so this collaboration was much needed. The YouTube series, ran by RapTV, is now six episodes in and it sees Cug chef up some dishes alongside rappers. NLE Choppa popped out for the most recent video, and in it, he says that when he makes raunchy tracks, it is due to him being celibate.

While making a “rasta pasta” dish, the hitmaker says when he is not getting intimate with someone, he gets down and dirty with the beat. “I make my most freakiest songs when I’m celibate. I just f*** the beat, ya feel me?” Of course, that had the entire set laughing. In the interview, he is making allusions to his recent sex positive track is “SLUT ME OUT 2,” the follow-up to the original which remains to be one of his most popular tracks.

Later on in the video, NLE asks Cugine about the backlash he has been receiving for said record. “If you was a bad b****, would you f*** you?” Choppa inquired. Cug said he would as well and that is when NLE responded with confusion. “Exactly! Although it is not in line with what Choppa has made in the past, fans are digging it. However, there are some day one fans who feel a little bit alienated by all of this. At the end of the day, it is a much different vibe for him. It might take a while for some to come to grips with the change in direction. That said, it remains to be seen if he will even continue this sound, in the future.

Considering the sexual nature of the track, there are some who are trying to interpret some of the lyrics. For instance, at one point in the song, Choppa says “it smells like badussy.” Overall, this had some fans questioning his sexuality, as they thought it had to do with a man’s body parts.
