Shannon Sharpe Delivers Tearful Goodbye To Skip Bayless & “Undisputed”

Shannon Sharpe announced just a couple of weeks ago that he would be leaving Undisputed. Overall, this announcement wasn’t that much of a shock to anyone. This is because he and Skip Bayless had seemingly been beefing as of late. Although Sharpe was quick to underplay this in interviews, it was clear in the media that he and Skip were not friends. The two would get into some heavy arguments, and it seemed to be getting personal. Consequently, fans expected the move in some capacity.

Considering the NBA Finals wrapped up last night, it was revealed that today was Shannon Sharpe’s very last show. Throughout the episode, he and Skip were quite cordial. They spoke about Ja Morant, the Nuggets winning the NBA title, and a whole host of other topics. Moreover, at the end of the show, Shannon Sharpe signed off by thanking Skip for the opportunity. It was a sad moment for both men as you could tell Sharpe was emotional. He even had tears in his eyes as he spoke.

Dwyane Wade Addresses 50/50 Finances Comments By Gabrielle Union

Every power couple is different, but even the most successful and wealthy ones can be subject to the same gender norms as any other. Moreover, pop culture saw a recent example of that in Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union. The latter revealed that she and Wade typically split finances 50/50, while also revealing some insecurity when it came to money. Now, the former basketball superstar revealed his own perspective on this to Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast. During his remarks, he expressed confidence in her independence, dismissal of negative perspectives about manhood, and a desire to keep things equal and within each of their defined comfort zones.

“I haven’t given no color to this, but it’s thinkpieces going around about me as a man,” Dwyane Wade expressed before Sharpe teased him about it a little. “Let’s talk about it. So, the whole 50/50 concept, so I understand what 50/50 means. [It] means that everything in life, you got your half and I got my half. We’ll put this s**t together and try to make 100. That is not how our relationship works, all right? Everybody think 50/50, they think ‘Hey, if he gettin’ a sandwich, you gotta put 50% on that!’

Dwyane Wade Reflects On Splitting Finances With Gabrielle Union

“50/50 in our household is- first of all, let’s say that I have 20 to 50 responsibilities,” Dwyane Wade continued. “My wife has 20 to 50 responsibilities. When I say that, that means she has a mother, she has her sisters, she has her dad, she has a lot of things that she’s responsible for. You know what she does? She pays one hundred percent of that. You know what I do? I pay one hundred percent of my life. My wife is a working actress, spends time away from the family, we decided together. I think one time, we was in Miami, I said something about it being my house that I pay for. She said, ‘You will never say something like that to me again when it’s something that we share.’ So my wife was like ‘When we move to L.A., I got half on it.’

Further on in the interview, the 41-year-old spoke on splitting finances with everything related to taking care of their daughter. In addition, he also elaborated on Union also taking time to make lavish trips or special occasions all the more meaningful with her contributions. Overall, Sharpe was right in stating that such a formula works for them, and that’s the only thing that matters even if it was 85/15. Still, check back in with HNHH for the latest on Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.

Shannon Sharpe Hit Heat With A Reality Check

Shannon Sharpe will be leaving Undisputed very shortly after the NBA Finals are over. However, he still has to come into work and sit across from Skip Bayless for the time being. Sure, these two may not like each other anymore, but commitments are commitments. In the final days of the show, some have argued that both look pretty tired and checked out. Overall, it is clear that this has all weight quite heavily on both of them. It is unfortunate, but that is just how it goes sometimes.

Moving forward, the NBA Finals are still going down, although they could very well end tonight. The Denver Nuggets are up 3-1 on the Miami Heat. Consequently, the Nuggets could win the NBA title tonight in their home arena. It would be a truly massive victory, and the fans want to see it come to fruition. On Undisputed this morning, Skip and Shannon spoke about that possibility. As you can see in the clips down below, Sharpe is quite positive that this series is going to be over by tonight.

Shannon Sharpe Says It’s Over

“You have to come to the realization that the team that’s winning is the better team. The Heat have overachieved and have reverted back to what they were in the regular season,” Sharpe explained. “It’s over. The only thing left to give in church is the benediction.” At this juncture, Shannon Sharpe does not have any faith in the Miami Heat. Ultimately, they have not been good in the NBA Finals. Game two saw them steal one, however, that was more on the Nuggets who gave up a big lead.

If the Nuggets do win this game, it will be huge for the legacy of Nikola Jokic. He could very well go down as one of the best centers to ever do it. Let us know what you think of Sharpe’s comments, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Stephen A. Smith Clarifies Shannon Sharpe Comments

Last week, Stephen A. Smith waded into the drama surrounding Shannon Sharpe’s abrupt exit from UNDISPUTED and Fox. Smith’s comments were taken as something of a backdoor invitation to try and woo Sharpe into joining him on First Take, Smith’s massively popular ESPN show.

“I don’t know what his plans are, I don’t know what he’s trying to pursue, I don’t know what he’s after. But if Shannon Sharpe needs me, I’m happy to be here for him,” Smith said on the Stephen A. Smith Show on June 2. “And if that included him wanting to come on First Take, the bosses at ESPN know that is something that I would support.” However, Smith has now clarified his comments as rampant speculation in recent days.

Stephen A. Smith Shouts Out ESPN Team

Speaking on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Smith clarified that he had not been looking to rustle any feathers with his comments. “Let me revisit a conversation that I had last week about Shannon Sharpe,” Smith began. “I meant what I said. I respect the brother. If he wants to come on First Take, I’m here for it. I support him. He wants to go elsewhere, that’s fine. He wants to get his own show and he’s got his own aspirations. I’m fine with that, too. Got a lot of respect again for Shannon Sharpe. But make no mistake about it, I love my crew.” Smith then proceeded to list all the various personalities that contribute to ESPN‘s coverage.

However, Smith continued. “And I would never ever ever sit up and tell anybody that I want anybody more than I want Michael Irvin. I welcome Shannon Sharpe to First Take. But it would be in the mix of being part of the family. I like the potpourri of contributors. I like the action and the excitement and the fun of the show. Adding people into the mix is one thing. Changing the complete makeup and formula of the show is entirely different and that ain’t happening for anyone.” Smith’s words make two things clear. Firstly, Shannon Sharpe moving to First Take would not see another personality leave. Secondly, if Sharpe wanted to join First Take, it would be on their terms and expectations, not his. Sharpe is yet to announce his next move but you can follow all the latest updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Shannon Sharpe’s Potential Replacement Revealed

Shannon Sharpe is going to be leaving Undisputed very soon. In fact, the plan is for him to leave the show once the NBA Finals are over. Overall, this is something that a lot of fans saw coming. After all, Sharpe and Skip Bayless had gotten into quite a few arguments as of late. It was becoming clear that the work environment was toxic, and subsequently, Sharpe is going off to do his own thing. According to Front Office Sports, LeSean McCoy is expected to be given an “extended tryout.” For those who don’t know, the former NFL star is a co-host on SPEAK with Emmanuel Acho. This is a show that typically airs in the afternoon. Furthermore, McCoy has been known to offer up some truly wild hot takes on this show. That said, he could be the perfect fit to replace Shannon. Stephen A. Smith Says He’d Support Shannon Sharpe Joining “First Take”

Stephen A. Smith says that he’d support Shannon Sharpe joining ESPN’s First Take after it was reported that the NFL legend reached a buyout agreement with FS1. His last show with Skip Bayless on Undisputed will likely come after the NBA Finals. Bayless previously served as a co-host of First Take with Stephen A. Smith from 2007–2016.

“I don’t know what his plans are, I don’t know what he’s trying to pursue, I don’t know what he’s after. But if Shannon Sharpe needs me, I’m happy to be here for him,” Smith said on the Stephen A. Smith Show on Friday. “And if that included him wanting to come on First Take, the bosses at ESPN know that is something that I would support.” The buyout reportedly also stipulates that Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast will no longer be a part of FS1.

Shannon Sharpe has been hosting Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless since September 2016. There has been noticeable animosity growing between the co-hosts in recent months. The relationship reached a particularly low point after Bayless’ controversial tweet about Damaar Hamlin and his injury back in January.

More recently, the two got into a heated argument on air when Bayless made a comment noting that Tom Brady played until he was 45 years old while Sharpe retired at 35. “That’s what you do,” Sharpe responded. “Every time I call something into question, I get it … I did what I did! You make it seem like I was a bum! I’m in the effin’ Hall of Fame. I got three Super Bowls!”

Stephen A. Smith On Shannon Sharpe’s Future

Stephen A. Smith isn’t the only voice in sports media to express interest in working with Sharpe. Cam’ron also invited him to join his talk show, It Is What It Is. “Shannon, you definitely got a home here,” Cam’ron recently said. “Yo, listen my n***a, come to It Is What It Is n***a. You know how much bread we get? And you can be you because we being us. Shit would be well, my n***a.”

Cam’ron Shoots His Shot At Shannon Sharpe

In April 2023, Cam’ron joked on It Is What It Is about recruiting UNDISPUTED host Shannon Sharpe. “I seen Shannon curse on TV the other day,” Cam’ron began. “N-gga said, ‘What the fuck,’ then he had to stop himself. Yo Shannon, if you wanna be on television without the producers tellin’ you what to say, without ya co-host cutting you off every time you want to make a statement, come to the team.”

Well, turns out that Sharpe is about to become a free agent. Earlier this week, Sharpe announced that he would be leaving Fox at the end of the NBA Finals. The NFL Hall of Famer had successfully negotiated a buyout to leave the network, taking UNDISPUTED and Club Shay Shay with him. While Sharpe’s brand has always been fuelled by spirited debate, it appears that his relationship with co-host Skip Bayless is the primary reason for his departure.

In the wake of Sharpe’s announcement, Cam’ron re-upped his invitation to the Hall of Famer. “Shannon, you definitely got a home here,” Cam’ron began. “Yo, listen my n-gga, come to It Is What It Is n-gga. You know how much bread we get? And you can be you because we being us. Shit would be well, my n-gga.” While unlikely, it would surely be a power pairing in terms of sports media. However, Cam’ron might also be on the move. “Soon getting ready to do a deal. We won’t say with who yet. I got a lot of people. I could have done a deal a month ago but I just want to weigh my options out. So we’ll figure it out,” Cam’ron told local New York media last month.

It’s unknown where Sharpe is headed next after seven years at Fox. However, he’s not the only person on the move. Last month, ESPN announced that they had signed Pat McAfee to a multi-year deal. McAfee already serves as a color commentator for Thursday Night Football. Now the network will also feature his flagship show starting this fall. McAfee bought out of a lucrative contract with FanDuel.

Charles Barkley Trolls Skip Bayless

The sports world was rocked earlier this week when Shannon Sharpe announced that he would be leaving Fox at the end of the NBA Finals. The NFL Hall of Famer had successfully negotiated a buyout to leave the network, taking UNDISPUTED and Club Shay with him. While Sharpe’s brand has always been fuelled by spirited debate, it appears that his relationship with co-host Skip Bayless is the primary reason for his departure. The pair have always sparred but things appear to have broken down in recent months. Incidents like Bayless’ comments about Damar Hamlin and getting personal when debating Tom Brady appears to have been the breaking point.

In the wake of the news, many people have roasted Bayliss for his apparent fumbling of the bag. It’s widely known that Sharpe is the one people really tune in for. Now, his biggest on-air detractor is also getting in on the action.

Charles Barkley Dunks On Bayless

Charles Barkley couldn’t help but get in on the roasting of Bayliss. “I did find out something…I read an article today, if you work with a damn idiot, they’ll buy you out. I’m saying, I read it,” Barkley began during his NBA Finals postgame coverage, “Shaq, it’s not you. It’s not you [Grant Hill] and it’s not you [Matt Winer]. It’s not Ernie. But apparently if you work with a damn idiot they’ll buy you out. So, I just want you to know, I’m open to the buyout. I didn’t know it was that easy.”

It’s no secret that Barkley absolutely despises Bayless. In 2017, Barkley made some very colorful comments about him on The Dan Patrick Show. “You know what we should do for ratings? If I get a disease and I’m gonna die, how about you get Skip Bayless in here and I’ll kill him live on national television. Just get him in here. Only when I know Imma die….Cause I just want to get Skip Bayless in a room one time and beat him like a dog. Only if I knew I was gonna die. Not if I’m gonna live, cause I don’t wanna go to prison. Cause like Mahorn say, ‘they would love you in prison.’”

Sean Salisbury, Kendrick Perkins Are Betting Favorites to Replace Shannon Sharpe on 'Undisputed'

In the wake of the surprising departure of Shannon Sharpe from the popular FS1 talk show Undisputed, sports enthusiasts are eagerly speculating about who will step into the esteemed analyst’s shoes.

Fueling the rumors and intensifying the anticipation, Bovada, a renowned online sportsbook, has recently unveiled its live betting odds on who might join forces with the outspoken host, Skip Bayless, on the highly acclaimed show. Leading the way for Sharpe’s replacement is Sean Salisbury at +130, followed by Kendrick Perkins at +600.

The full run of odds is available below.

Sean Salisbury +130
Kendrick Perkins +600
Chris “Mad Dog” Russo +700
Nick Wright +700
Scottie Pippen +800
Chad Johnson +900
Brian Dawkins +900
Ray Lewis +900
Marcellus Wiley +900
Tom Brady +1500

Shannon Sharpe’s days at FS1 are numbered. The Post reports Sharpe will split from Skip Bayless after reaching a buyout agreement with Fox Sports.

Shannon Sharpe is expected to appear on Undisputed through the conclusion of the NBA Finals. After departing from Fox Sports, Sharpe will take his popular Club Shay Shay podcast with him.

Sharpe was long believed to work his way out of FS1, especially after he and Bayless clashed on air over Damar Hamlin’s injury.

Following a controversial tweet from Bayless about Hamlin’s injury, Sharpe did not show up to Undisputed. A day after his absence, Shannon Sharpe returned to the Undisputed desk, and the fireworks immediately went off between him and Bayless.

In a monologue, Sharpe explained his absence and stated he didn’t agree with Skip’s tweet. “Skip tweeted something and although I disagree with the tweet, and hopefully, Skip will take it down…”

Skip would interject and state, “Time out — I’m not going to take it down because I stand by what I tweeted.”

The two would go back and forth briefly before Shannon deflected to the show’s moderator to continue forward with the show.

You can see the moment below.

Shannon skipped the Tuesday broadcast, according to TMZ, because he was “upset” with Skip Bayless’s offensive Damar Hamlin tweet, in which he questioned why the NFL would postpone a crucial game so late in the season. The outlet added that the network is uncertain as to whether Sharpe will report for duty on Wednesday.

In the episode that aired the following Tuesday, Bayless took the opportunity to retract his remarks and explain his intentions.

“I apologize for what we’re going to set out to do here today, if it offends anyone, because we’re gonna try to do the show pretty much as we usually do the show. I’ll admit up front, I’m still shook up by what happened last night to Damar Hamlin,” Bayless said. “In fact, I’m still wrecked. In fact, I’m not sure I’m capable of doing this show today. After barely sleeping on it last night, I decided to give it a try.”

He added, “We wrestled through much of the night whether to even do a show today because it felt like in our mind, we almost can’t win with this. Because the last thing we want to try to do is come off as insensitive to what this young man is going through in a life-or-death situation. … As this show goes on, we’re going to try and talk about a little bit of sports, but we’re going to continue to talk about what happened to this young man last night and try to sort back through it with help from you and the audience.”

The Post also notes Sharpe’s relationship with LeBron James, who Bayless relentlessly goes after, contributed to the departure. There is currently not a plan for replacing Sharpe on the show.

Shannon Sharpe Likes Tweet That Suggests Why He’s Leaving Skip Bayless

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have been a dynamic duo since 2016. In September of this year, it would have been seven years since they formed the show Undisputed. However, it doesn’t seem like they are going to get that far. Last night, it was revealed that Sharpe’s contract with FS1 was being bought out, largely by his request. Subsequently, he is set to embark on his own projects, such as Club Shay Shay. Overall, this news came as a bit of a shock, but for those who pay attention, the writing was on the wall.

Sharpe infamously got into a fight with Skip Bayless over Tom Brady. Skip was extremely disrespectful and some felt like Sharpe needed to take action. Moreover, things got infinitely worse when Skip made that tweet about Damar Hamlin. Things continued to spiral, and although Shannon Sharpe stuck around, it was clear that perhaps a change was needed. Now, Sharpe is leaving the show for good, and he is even liking tweets that theorize why he left.

Shannon Sharpe Co-Signs This Tweet

“Their relationship got progressively worse over the last 2 maybe 3 years because skip fought for him to be on that show but I feel like skip couldn’t stand Shannon succeeding without and that’s when skip was taking pot shots on air,” the Twitter user wrote. Of course, fans immediately clocked that Sharpe had liked the tweet. Although, it is unknown whether or not this is truly the case or Shannon is just letting the emotions get the best of him. Either way, Skip Bayless needs to go out and find a new partner.

It is believed that Sharpe will do the show through the NBA Finals. Once those are over, he will quietly exit the show. Needless to say, this is all happening very fast, and Undisputed viewers are likely to make a grand exodus. Skip Bayless has yet to react to the news. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world. We will always keep you informed.
