‘Rap Sh!t’: All The Music You Heard In The Season 1 Finale

(SPOILERS for this latest Rap Sh!t episode will be found below.)

Season one of Rap Sh!t is now in the books, and in just eight weeks, Shawna and Mia (played by Aida Osman and KaMillion) achieved many of the early goals they set out for as a new rap duo. They secured not one but two successful records with “Seduce & Scheme” and “Nann Badder.” Their songs were played in clubs and they were also invited to industry parties. Shawna and Mia have plenty to be excited about as season one comes to a conclusion, but their future is also in question now.

The aforementioned events in the finale of season one are soundtracked by records for the ladies. They’re songs that will boost your confidence and even make you want to shake something if that’s your vibe. Nonetheless, these records perfectly encapsulate the world that Shawna and Mia live in and hope to thrive in as well.

What Songs Were In The Season On Finale Of Rap Sh!t.

In addition to Shawna and Mia’s trademark records, “Seduce & Scheme” and “Nann Badder,” playing in the episode, there are three records that soundtracked biggest moments in this episode of Rap Sh!t. The first two are Kiddo Marv and Dreezy’s “Do It” and Saucy Santana and Renni Rucci’s “Money.” These two songs, along with “Seduce & Scheme,” soundtrack Mia’s time at a strip club. She heads out there with two of her friends for a moment of fun after the frustrating moment with Shawna during their performance in the last episode. It’s also during this scene that Mia records a video for Instagram that makes her fans think that she and Shawna had a split. The second is Steve Lacy’s “Infrunami” which can be heard after Mia hits it off with a fellow Miami rapper. He certainly piques Mia’s interest and the stacks of cash he gave her also boosted his chances.

The soundtrack for this week’s episode also includes the following songs:
City Girls — “You Tried It”
Josh Levi — “Vices”
Tokyo Jetz — “Just Ride”
Foogiano — “Dead In Miami”
Big Boss Vette — “Heavy”
Chelly Flame — “Bandz”
Jackboy — “Hate the B*tch”
Yung Miami — “Rap Freaks”
King Bucc — “Scam B*tch”

HBO Max’s ‘Rap Sh!t’ airs on Thursdays at 9:00pm EST.

City Girls’s JT Is Brought To Tears In The Upcoming Episode Of Revolt’s ‘Caresha Please’

City Girls, comprised of JT and Yung Miami, are a truly dynamic duo. They possess the charisma, popularity, talent and work ethic to go as far as they see fit because both members bring a lot to the table. Over the last few months, we’ve seen Miami pursue a new solo venture in her Revolt show Caresha Please, with memorable interviews featuring her boyfriend Diddy as well as Kevin Gates. This week’s episode, releasing on Thursday, August 11, will include her partner-in-rap JT and the enigmatic Saucy Santana. Though they all have fun-loving personalities, the trailer for the episode shows JT getting emotional.

The official Revolt Twitter account shared a nearly minute-long clip ahead of the episode where Santana can be heard telling JT how talented she is and questioning why she won’t “do nothing,” though it’s unclear whether these are his personal thoughts or the thoughts of some fans. As Saucy Santana says this, JT is shown wiping tears from her face.

As the clip continues, Yung Miami says “Oh, I’m not thinking ‘I’m gon’ do this sh*t without JT.’ People love us as a group and we’re stronger as a group. We’re stronger together.” JT replies with “Why the f*ck are y’all doing that?” which comes off as if the conversation was about people wondering if the duo might break up. It’s a natural thought to have when a member of a group begins to do their own thing, especially as music history has shown that very thing has led to the demise of many a group. However, these thoughts may be a bit premature.

The trailer also shows the three laughing with one another and JT doing her best Yung Miami impression, so whoever has questions about the City Girls’ future will simply have to wait until Thursday for the full discussion.

Saucy Santana Drops Video To His Single, “Booty”

Saucy Santana

Earlier, Saucy Santana released the long-anticipated video to his single “Booty” featuring popular female artist Latto. Saucy Santana finally released the video to his song “Booty.”  This is the first single the “Material Gworl” artist has released since signing a deal with RCA earlier this year. In the video, the “Walk ‘Em Like A Dog” […]

Saucy Santana And Latto Throw It Back In Their Whiplash-Inducing ‘Booty’ Video

After two weeks, it’s probably safe to say that Saucy Santana’s Beyonce-sampling new single “Booty” is a hit. The girls love to throw it back, and alongside Latto (whose own anatomy-based single “P*ssy” is shaking up social media now as well), Santana gives them the perfect motivational anthem to do so. Today, the dynamic duo shared the twerk-tastic video for the single and yes, it is everything you should have expected, with teams of colorfully dressed men and women gyrating their derrieres to an interpolation of “Crazy In Love.” Santana even pays a visual homage to the “Crazy In Love” video, donning the same tank top and cutoff jean shorts Beyonce rocked in her “official” solo debut — and yes, that includes the cherry red high heels.

Saucy Santana timed the release of the song and the video perfectly, putting out the song just days before he was announced as one of XXL‘s 2022 Freshman Class. The video arrives on the tail of Saucy’s standout performance in the XXL Freshman Cypher, where he stole the show after running the anchor leg of the installment featuring Doechii, KayCyy, and SoFaygo. Santana is also proving to be pretty much bulletproof, shrugging off a fan backlash for sampling Beyonce after dissing her in old tweets when he was “miserable and broke.” He certainly isn’t either of those things anymore, and with “Booty” taking off, it might not be long until he has a chance to thank Beyonce for clearing the sample in person.

Doechii Leads Off The 2022 ‘XXL’ Freshman Cypher With Saucy Santana, KayCyy, And SoFaygo

The 2022 XXL Freshman Cypher has arrived. The first round consists of Doechii, SoFaygo, KayCyy, and Saucy Santana, with a beat produced by Wheezy. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but the clear standout here is Saucy Santana, who approaches this year’s Cypher like he has something to prove, delivering a rapid-fire verse with a hand on his hip like he’s already tired of the inevitable Twitter comments.

Members of this year’s class included the above-mentioned names, as well as Babyface Ray, Babytron, Big30, Big Scarr, Cochise, Kali, KenTheMan, and Nardo Wick. It’ll be interesting to see how this group is divided up between the next two potential Cypher videos. Will the Detroiters Babytron and Babyface Ray be split up? What about the two Memphis upstarts, Big30 and Big Scarr? Meanwhile, standouts in the standalone freestyles included Doechii, Saucy Santana, and Nardo Wick, so that last name will certainly be one to watch out for when he shows off his skills alongside his classmates.

2022’s Freshmen have had a standout year so far, with Doechii delivering an explosive performance of her songs “Crazy” and “Persuasive” at the 2022 BET Awards and the Danny Brown-cosigned Saucy Santana securing a Beyonce sample on his song of the summer contender, “Booty.”

Saucy Santana Delivers A Picture-Perfect ‘XXL’ Freshman Freestyle

Saucy Santana has officially arrived. Despite only starting his professional rap career in the last three years, Santana has seen his fame skyrocket behind ultra-viral tracks like “Here We Go,” “Material Girl,” and “Walk.” His latest single, the Beyonce-sampling “Booty,” is already taking over radio stations and was even tabbed by fans as a song of the summer before it was even officially released. Last month, Santana’s status was sealed as he was one of the 12 artists selected to represent XXL‘s annual Freshman class for 2022.

In his swaggering freestyle for XXL, Santana postures behind an ornate portrait frame in a Givenchy hoodie, decked out in stunner shades, glistening jewels, and his ever-present long nails. Rapping acapella, Santana details his experiences as “the gay boy on the block selling a purse full of drugs,” and dismisses haters who’ve questioned his presence and popularity due to his sexual orientation. “I’m still snatchin’ y’all wigs,” he boasts. “Call me ‘hair physician’ / Million-dollar deal on a billion-dollar mission.” Like I said, Santana has arrived. It’s up to fans to get used to him.

Danny Brown Reacts To Saucy Santana Comparisons On TikTok: ‘This Is Incredible’

Saucy Santana is once again going viral. This time, in the form of a TikTok sound. The aforementioned sound features vocals from Santana’s hit single “Material Girl,” which, itself, has received several rotations on TikTok, over the instrumental track of Danny Brown’s “Ain’t It Funny.”

Brown has caught wind of the sound, and it’s safe to say, he is a fan.

“I’ve noticed that you sound incredibly similar to @SaucySantana_,” said Twitter user @ReyDG23, with a video clip embedded, containing the sound.

Brown quote-retweeted the clip, saying, “this is incredible.”

Last year, Brown, 40, teased a new project called Quaranta, a reference to his age, as “quaranta” means “40” in Italian. He spoke about the project during an interview with Antony Fantano.

“We’re just waiting on the right timing,” Brown said. “But it’s not called ‘40’, it’s called ‘Quaranta’. You know what I’m saying, it’s a… I don’t wanna give away too much why, but y’all will figure it out.”

He confirmed that MixedByAli of Top Dawg Entertainment will handle the album’s final mix, which includes some production work by The Alchemist. In another interview with HotNewHipHop, Brown described the sound of Quaranta as “just all over the place,” and also, “it’s going to be fun.”
