Ryan Garcia Disses 21 Savage For Walking Out Devin Haney

Ryan Garcia called out 21 Savage on Twitter following his win over Devin Haney in their fight for the WBC Super Lightweight Title. The Atlanta rapper had walked out with Haney for the bout. “This proves 21 ain’t no savage,” Garcia wrote. Despite the win, he was ineligible to take Haney’s title after weighing in at 143.2 pounds Friday for the 140-pound contest.

Regardless of the ineligibility, Garcia was elated after the win. “I don’t give a f— what people say about me. I walked through the fire and still held it down and still beat f—ing Devin Haney and still drink every day,” he said, as noted by ESPN. “Not necessarily am I proud of that, but I’m just saying it was a statement to show you, you guys can’t really f— with me.”

He also complained about the refereeing during the match. “It was a horrible ref,” he added. “[Haney] was holding me for dear life, and I felt an opportunity to keep swinging while my hands were free and I cracked him. And then he took a point away when I cracked him, but [Haney] held me and then I should have knocked him out in that seventh round. Ryan Garcia seems to have been successful in hyping up his Devin Haney fight last night (Saturday, April 20), because it resulted in a big upset. Garcia beat the WBC junior lightweight title holder by majority decision after 12 rounds at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, knocking him down to the ground thrice throughout. The first was with a left hook to the head in the seventh round, and two more in the tenth and eleventh rounds, respectively. However, Haney still has his title, since his opponent did not make weight before the match-up. Still, it was a pretty exciting match that its losing competitor reflected on via Twitter in the wee hours of Sunday (April 21).

Of course, this battle followed a lot of antics and social media firestorms mostly caused by Ryan Garcia’s unabashed and often bizarre claims and takes. For example, he recently claimed that Drake slept with Bobbi Althoff, thus causing her divorce and resulting in the odd falling-out that they seemed to have online following their interview, and none of this has been confirmed. As for Devin Haney, he mostly stayed out of these things although he’s no stranger to public scrutiny. Still, when compared to Garcia’s antics and his relentless addresses of any other topic besides boxing, it seems like his composure wasn’t enough to cinch the victory.

Meanwhile, with no lost title here, perhaps the San Francisco native will feel even more pressured to defend it next time, as this loss could have a big impact. Or maybe he will instead have to look elsewhere for inspiration, as we don’t really know how he interprets this loss. Is the technicality comforting or does it add insult to injury? It was a pretty scathing attack, too, and considering their often chaotic presences on social media for very different reasons, we can only wonder what made them make up… if this isn’t the fattest load of cap from either celebrity.

Maybe Ryan Garcia is being played here, much like Playboi Carti played Adin Ross for their “stream” together, which lasted all of ten minutes. On the other hand, maybe he’s just trying to get more interest and hype building for this fight, and what better way to do that than by opening up the Ye beef again for a reconciliation? However, considering the “2024” producer’s relative silence right now as more alleged Vultures volumes are in limbo, this would be a bizarre way to re-enter the fold. Boxing star Ryan Garcia has just gone off the rails on X over some new beef with Kanye West. According to HipHopDX, it all began when the 25-year-old sent out a tweet to 50 Cent on April 3. He asked the New York rap icon to walk out with him for his upcoming fight on April 20 with Devin Haney. In that request he also said, “no Diddy,” as a reference to the running jokes surrounding the sexual assault allegations of the mogul. “@50cent would be awesome if you walked out with me 4-20 No diddy Let’s do this!!!!” Garcia presumably asked the same of Kanye, but he allegedly believes that the VULTURES MC “said no” because of the jab at Diddy.

This lit a raging fire inside the young boxer and it led him to send at least 16 vicious verbal attacks toward Kanye. It all began with this post, “Why Kanye mad at me for saying “no diddy” He lost it when he said he was the New Jesus.” From there the tweets began to snowball and increase in absurdity. For example, Garcia went as far as to claim that, “I heard Kim puts her finger in Kanye b** allegedly”

LMFAO you are a bum facts.” Garcia also calls out Kanye’s die-hard supporters, saying, “bro supported a genocide for a whole group and y’all defend him” and that it “is actually sad.” In another gut punch, the lightweight boxer says the Georgia-born native is “defending diddy bc that’s his daddy.” Kanye has yet to respond to any of these tweets and confirm if Garcia’s claim is true.

Taken from Wahid’s Instagram, the image appears to show Wahid hugging a friend from behind as the friend makes a kissing face at Wahid. “I love my brothas” can be seen as a caption to the image. “WTF Abdul” Garcia added in a screenshot he posted to his own Instagram story. A number of people have alleged the other person in the image is Adrien Broner.

Of course, there is no love lost between Garcia and Wahid. Wahid soundly beat Garcia last year. However, comments from Wahid in recent days appear to indicate that he would be open to a rematch. That is a fight that Garcia has been hoping for since his defeat. “Obviously I’m disappointed. I tried my best but he caught me with a good body shot. I’ll come back stronger and yeah man, one day…rack up a couple wins and maybe we could do a rematch at maybe 140, 147,” Garcia said immediately after their fight.

More confirmation. Yall support this I’m out. Kids are in danger from drinking this “allegedly”,” Garcia wrote in response to the sponsorship announcement. PRIME, the high-caffeine energy drink owned by Logan Paul and KSI, came under intense scrutiny last year. Several children were reported to have suffered heart attacks after consuming the beverage. Then illegal distribution in Canada led to the country banning the product.

Furthermore, Garcia’s post came after a string of posts that appeared to go against his promise to only tweet about his April 20 fight with Haney. This included a bizarre post about one of the biggest hip hop conspiracies of all time. “Would you believe me if I told you I know for a fact who killed Tupac, a lot of yall know the answer but I can prove it,” Garcia wrote on X. Duane “Keefe D” Davis is currently awaiting trial for his alleged role in Tupac’s murder. However, conspiracy theories have long connected Diddy to the case, amongst others.

Andre Ward Warns Ryan Garcia To Stay Off Social Media

Veteran boxer Andre Ward has warned Ryan Garcia to stay off social media amid Garcia’s whirlwind week of concerning posts. “I think the first thing is, he’s got to get off social media,” Ward said. “I think somebody around him gotta tell him, ‘We gotta deal with this, but we not going to deal with it in the public side’,” Ward told TMZ.

In a now-deleted tweet, Ryan Garcia accused social media star Bryce Hall of inappropriate conduct with minors. “Apologize for messing with underage kids,” Garcia wrote while calling out Hall by name. “You need to repent and stop hiding behind TikTok for clout,” Garcia added. Hall has been previously sued for his conduct at an LA restaurant. However, there have been no previous allegations linking him to conduct with minors. However, Garcia also appeared to have a moment of clarity after days of posting conspiracy theory-fuelled tweets. “I Ryan Garcia, will not be speaking or tweeting or writing anything other then My Fight “Boxing” and Sports. All topics of discussion will be discussed after my fight 5 weeks of focus. You have my word I’m locked in I’ll see you 4-20,” Garcia also wrote.

Andre Ward Gives Jake Paul His Flowers For Expanding Boxing’s Audience

Elsewhere, Ward recently gave high praise for Jake Paul during an interview with TMZ. “I don’t hate on it. The crossover stuff like what Jake Paul, Logan [Paul] is doing, [Francis] Ngannou just did, I respect it. That takes a lot of courage, takes a lot of heart.
