Rihanna “Can’t Wait To Kill It” At Super Bowl Halftime Show

We’re unsure what Rihanna has in store for her big Super Bowl performance, but a source says she’s been “killing it” in rehearsals. In less than two weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will face off for the NFL title, but it isn’t just the game everyone is talking about. Since it was announced that Rihanna would be this year’s halftime performer, there has been speculation regarding what the show will look like.

It was also rumored that Rihanna was filming her halftime experience for a forthcoming documentary. This would be much like Jennifer Lopez did for her Super Bowl performance or how Beyoncé chronicled her Coachella concert. The upcoming halftime display marks Rihanna’s epic return to the stage after taking time to focus on her other business ventures and motherhood.

PEOPLE spoke with a source close to Rihanna, who shared that the superstar is ready to show the world what she and her team have come up with. “She is ready for the Super Bowl,” the person revealed. “She is rehearsing right now. She’s very excited, ready and focused. She can’t wait to kill it.”

For years, Rih’s fans have been begging her to release another album. Instead, she’s mapped her way into billionaire status through her Fenty brand. Additionally, she and boyfriend A$AP Rocky welcomed their baby boy into the world. Further, the reclusive couple has reportedly been soaking up parenthood in all its glory.

“Last year was the most amazing year for her. She took a long break to focus on her baby boy,” the source further stated. Rihanna has yet to share her son’s name. “She is obsessed with him and feels fortunate that she has been able to slow down and just be a mom.”

Rihanna Reportedly Files “Fenty Kids” Clothing Line Trademark

Rihanna reportedly filed a trademark for a “Fenty Kids” clothing line, although that doesn’t mean she’s starting one anytime soon. However, the trademark does protect the name from use by other entities. Moreover, reports indicate that the star singer and upcoming Super Bowl halftime show performer filed on January 20th.

Furthermore, the motion describes the trademarked line as including “infant wear, swimwear, hats, underwear, footwear, leggings, socks,” and lots more. In fact, the patent even included baby bibs, booties, caps, and cloth diapers. While it seems hilariously exhaustive, you’d be surprised at how important it is to keep your patent affairs in order. Given Rihanna’s status, exposure, and variety of endeavors, she made a smart move.

Overall, the line’s products support a child from birth to toddler status, at least based on the described items. However, the trademark doesn’t mean that the “Diamonds” artist is guaranteed to launch a line in the future. In fact, it just means that other entities from infringing on the Fenty name.

Meanwhile, Rihanna filed for a trademark of “Fenty Hair” back in March of 2021. According to Highsnobiety, it protects “several hair products, from straightening devices to medicated treatments for dandruff.” Still, the mother of one is busier than ever, with a whole spectacle to organize for next week.

Moreover, Apple Music just launched their “Rihanna’s Road to Halftime” campaign. Among other elements, they’ll release an interview with Rihanna ahead of her Super Bowl performance. Also, the initiative gave fans the chance to listen to her incredible catalog in Spatial Audio. Additionally, new content includes programming for a series on past Super Bowl performances and one dedicated to the star herself.

“Rihanna is one of the most prolific artists of our time, and we, along with her many fans across the globe, cannot wait to see her take the stage at the first Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show,” Apple’s VP of Apple Music and Beats, Oliver Schusser, stated. “We are excited to celebrate Rihanna, and give her fans a new way to experience her music with Spatial Audio, as well as exclusive content from Apple Music.”

Still, what do you think of Rihanna filing a trademark for “Fenty Kids”? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, log back into HNHH for the latest on Rihanna and her many hats.

Rihanna Remains The Highest-Selling Female Singles Artist In RIAA History

It looks like Rihanna‘s reign won’t be coming to an end anytime soon. The Barbadian hitmaker continues to reach career highs, despite not releasing music in several years. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Rihanna has extended her record as the highest-certified female singles artist in the organization’s history.

“Rihanna extends her record as the highest certified female singles artist in RIAA history with 161.5 million units,” Pop Base reported.

Her last project, ANTI, which was released in 2016, spawned chart-topping hits like “Work,” “Needed Me,” and more. The project even landed her several Grammy nominations the following year, including one for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

With a career spanning almost two decades, Rihanna has cemented herself as an icon. Yet, she continues to break the mold and transcend the labels placed upon her. Whether it’s managing her billion-dollar business or motherhood, Ri can handle whatever comes her way.

While fans have patiently awaited her highly anticipated ninth album, they’ll presumably be waiting a bit longer. The “Pon De Replay” songstress has been quite elusive about her forthcoming project or its possible release date. That said, she hasn’t entirely left music behind. Recently, Rihanna recorded “Lift Me Up” for Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever, scoring her first Oscar nomination. She’s also gearing up to perform at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show on February 12.

Rihanna May Be Launching A Fenty Kids Clothing Line, As A New Trademark Filing Indicates

Rihanna is busy preparing for her highly anticipated performance at the halftime show at Super Bowl LVII. The star is not only a singer but also a businesswoman, and she combined those qualities by teasing a “Super Bowl-inspired” Savage x Fenty collection. But she’s not stopping there — she appears to have more plans with her Fenty collection.

The “Umbrella” performer has filed a trademark for Fenty Kids, which can be found on the United States Patent And Trademark Office website. The trademark was filed on January 20 and lists various types of clothing in the “goods and services” field.

Many fans on social media are expressing excitement about this possible extension of her clothing line; however, most are just begging for new music, because it’s been six years since her last album.

Meanwhile there have also been rumors circulating about a Rihanna documentary. A “music insider” recently told The Sun: “There is a massive appetite for everything to do with Rihanna, especially as this will be her major return to the stage for the first time in years. She will be recorded during rehearsals and meetings in the lead-up to the big night and give an insight into what her life is really like now she is returning to pop as a mum. Rihanna is a massive force to be reckoned with when it comes to music and so Apple has paid millions.”

Stephen A. Smith Dismisses Angry Critics Over Rihanna Vs. Beyonce Comments

After voicing his opinion about this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, Stephen A. Smith is once again talking about Rihanna and Beyoncé. Recently, Smith incurred the wrath of Rihanna’s fans when he visited Sherri and compared the Fenty star to Bey.

“Ladies and gentlemen, she’s a lot of things,” Smith said as he referenced Rihanna. “She’s spectacular, actually. And congratulations on new mamahood.” He added, “There’s one thing she’s not: she ain’t Beyoncé.”

The backlash was swift, and Smith soon issued a public apology of sorts to Rihanna.

“I meant it as no disrespect to Rihanna. I know she’s phenomenal, and she’s my sister,” he further shared. “Nothing but love for her, but Beyoncé is my sister, too.”

The public accused Smith of unnecessarily pitting the two stars—and their fanbases—against each other. He answered his critics while on The Breakfast Club.

“I think that Beyoncé might be the greatest female performer of all time,” said Smith. “That’s how I feel about her.”

“I think Rihanna’s fantastic. Now, you agree, fine. You disagree? Fine. How we get to the point, ‘Why he gotta pit two Black women…’ Really?! I just can’t be a fan of both? But I prefer Beyoncé over Rihanna. That’s a crime! I didn’t know that.”

Charlamagne Tha God brought up Smith previously getting into trouble for comparing Ayesha Curry and Savannah James. The ladies are the wives of NBA stars Steph Curry and LeBron James, respectively.

Smith had an answer for that, as well. Check out what he had to say in the clip above.

Who Are The Music Performers For Super Bowl LVII?

Arguably one of the biggest nights of the year, Super Bowl LVII, will be hitting television screens on February 12. The annual sporting event, which will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, typically draws millions of viewers yearly. 2023 will be no different. This year, Rihanna will join legendary performers — artists like Beyonce, Prince, and Michael Jackson — when she takes the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show.

The “Lift Me Up” singer made the announcement on social media this past September, sharing a pic of herself holding a football. Recently, the new mother dropped a teaser trailer of her upcoming performance, only amping up the anticipation.

Ri also dropped a limited edition Super Bowl-themed collection with her Savage X Fenty lingerie company earlier this month. The “Game Day” collection will feature 17 sporty styles, including varsity jerseys, hoodies, sweatpants, and more.

But before the billionaire singer takes the stage, several other acts are expected to appear. Country star Chris Stapleton will be opening the show with a rendition of the national anthem. Emmy award-winning Abbot Elementary actress Sherly Lee Ralph is expected to sing the Black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice.”

The lineup doesn’t stop there. Iconic producer, singer, and songwriter Babyface will be singing “America the Beautiful” at the ceremony.

Super Bowl LVII premieres Sunday, February 12, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET
