Coi Leray & Trippie Redd Confirm They’re Back Together

Coi Leray and Trippie Redd went their separate ways roughly five years ago, but it looks like their feelings for each other never really went away. Recently, they decided to give their romance another chance, this time with a bit more wisdom and life experience. In a sweet clip, the two of them are seen standing onstage at a concert when she pulls him in for a kiss. Hopefully, there will be a happier ending this time around for the fan-favorite couple, who’ve been rumored to have rekindled their relationship for months now.

For those who don’t recall, Coi and Trippie didn’t exactly have a clean break back in 2019. He addressed their messy split on his track “Leray,” which appears on his mixtape A Love Letter to You 4. “It was love at first sight and misery after two months/ Always feeling f**ked up either by love or no love,” he confesses in the emotional song.

Coi didn’t take kindly to the song at first, telling No Jumper at the time that she feared he was using her name for clicks. On the other hand, she praised Trippie for his ability to express himself through music. “At first, no, I didn’t like it. It was very like, what the f**k, because I always thought we really had something outside of the music,” she explained. “Just like me, I’mma put my feelings in a song and my emotions in a song and he does it very well, and that’s one thing I gotta give to him.”

Of course, both of them have come a long way since then, both personally and professionally. This likely means they’re more ready than ever to stick together for the long run. What do you think of Coi Leray and Trippie Redd confirming they’re back together? Do you think they make a good couple? Pras Admits He’s Frustrated For Fugees Fans After Last-Minute Tour Cancelation

Earlier this month, Lauryn Hill canceled the North American leg of her Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill anniversary tour with the Fugees, just days before it was scheduled to begin. Of course, supporters were disappointed, prompting Hill to deliver an explanation on Instagram. She told followers that “some media outlet’s penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines have seemingly created a narrative that has affected ticket sales.”

This sparked even more backlash, as fans questioned why she wasn’t taking accountability for her reputation of frequent tardiness and cancelations. Fellow Fugees artist Pras agreed with those calling Hill out, telling TMZ at the time that he too has grown frustrated by her offstage antics. Now, he’s weighed in on the debacle yet again, this time in a recent chat with Vulture. To start, he addressed his new song “Bar Mitzva,” which many believed was a diss track.

Pras Denies Dissing Lauryn Hill

He denies this, insisting that he was simply expressing himself. “You’re family, you have internal disagreements, but it’s not going to be on a level where I’m dissing her — that doesn’t make any sense,” he told the outlet. “Artistically speaking, sometimes we say things because that’s how we express ourselves. […] This track is me speaking my truth. When I was writing the record, those lines just came out.”

He added that “everyone’s frustration has been building up” about the tour cancelation, as “this is not something that just happened overnight.” Pras also feels for supporters who were looking forward to seeing them live, only to have the opportunity taken away unexpectedly. “They are paying their hard-earned money to see you,” he explained. “We’re going on almost three decades of our existence, individually and as a group. To have people still interested in wanting to come see you, man, you have to be grateful.” What do you think of Pras’ take on Lauryn Hill’s last-minute Fugees tour cancelation? Do you agree with him or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lil Scrappy & Bambi Spark Reunion Rumors After Club Outing

It goes without saying that Lil Scrappy’s love life is complicated, and over the weekend, he left fans confused when he was seen partying with his ex Bambi. The two of them haven’t always been on the best of terms and even got wrapped up in a heated legal battle earlier this year. Nonetheless, they hit the club together recently and seemed to be in good spirits.

The Shade Room chatted with both of them about their unexpected night out. The outlet questioned whether things were heating up between them or if they were just strengthening their bond as co-parents. Scrappy didn’t say much when asked to clarify, simply telling the outlet that he’s “just living and staying positive.”

Lil Scrappy & Bambi Are “Taking It One Step At A Time”

Bambi, on the other hand, said that they’re doing their best to avoid conflict for the sake of their children. Similarly, however, she didn’t reveal anything about their love lives. “We are absolutely working together to do our best to stay on the same page when it comes to the wellbeing of our children. Taking it one step at a time,” she explained. Bambi went on to urge fans to check out the upcoming season of Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta, where they may learn more about what’s been going on between them. “Our show airs July 23 on MTV. I will just say the people need to be tuned in,” she said.

While it’s unclear where exactly Scrappy and Bambi stand at this point, he was previously rumored to have rekindled things with another one of his exes, Erica Dixon. This was never confirmed, though he told fans in May that he’d consider marrying her. What do you think of Lil Scrappy and Bambi turning up together at the club? Turk Doesn’t Understand BG’s Anger At Him Over Hot Boys Reunion

The Hot Boys are getting fiery, especially after their “reunion” at the recent Birdman and Cash Money set at the Essence Festival only had two of the four group members on stage together. Moreover, there’s a lot of tension between group mates Turk and B.G. now, with the latter blasting the former for not making it to the Essence link-up. He fired back with equal force, doubling down on the business issues that led to this internal rift between the group. Furthermore, Turk readdressed the issue in a YouTube video on his channel posted on Wednesday (July 10), citing confusion.

“B.G. to me has been very disrespectful,” Turk remarked about his Hot Boys brethren. “If I really did anything to you, brother, I can’t see you holding back and saying what it is. I don’t know what it is, I can’t figure it out. I can’t put no light on a lie. Homie made a statement saying I know what I did last summer. I know what I did last summer. I never felt a Hot Boys reunion could be done without homie.

Turk Speaks On B.G. Beef Once Again

Proof of that is every time we came together,” Turk continued. “For instance, LeBron James’ party. LeBron James in the middle of his speech shouting out everybody. I’m like, ‘Hold up LeBron, free motherf***ing B.G.!’ I was doing these things because you can’t have a reunion without B.G. and I think I probably made a lot of people mad about that when I was doing it.” He finalized his remarks by saying that, when he spoke to B.G. on social media, they were all good to his knowledge, so that might be why he feels particularly blindsided now.

“You n***as want that s**t to come together because you n***as f***ed up outchea,” Turk previously said of B.G. “I ain’t f***ed up outchea. I’m blessed and highly favored by God. Y’all got me f***ed up. I’ll say f**k a Hot Boys tour, n***a. Disrespect won’t be tolerated, n***a. I don’t give a f**k who a n***a is. Ain’t no Big I’s or Lil U’s over me, mane. B.G. better sit his motherf***ing a** down somewhere, man. That n***a don’t run s**t round here. Not with me. He might run that s**t with you n***as. He don’t run that s**t with me. He ain’t doing nothing but running his motherf***ing mouth. Them wack a** raps, man. That s**t wack, n***a. All you n***as d**k-riding around here, man. That s**t wack.”

B.G. Suggests No One Will Miss Turk If He Doesn’t Reunite With Hot Boys

The ESSENCE Festival saw Birdman try and form a reunion with Cash Money, specifically the Hot Boys group. Unfortunately, it did not work out in his favor. Lil Wayne, perhaps the biggest star of them all, performed alone at the New Orleans event. It seems that Weezy was fine with linking back up with his crew, but who really knows at this point. Another conflict includes B.G. and Turk. These two have been going back and forth online since the failed reuniting. Even though they all did not rock the stage together, every other Hot Boys crew mate was in attendance. Turk was the only one not to show, as he cited “business” issues were the root cause.

The excuse is pretty flaccid, as Turk seems okay with not rejoining the group. He made these feelings clear while clapping back at B.G. for dissing his absence at ESSENCE. “I’ll say f*** a Hot Boys tour, n****. Disrespect won’t be tolerated, n****. I don’t give a f*** who a n**** is. Ain’t no Big I’s or Lil U’s over me, mane. B.G. better sit his motherf***ing a** down somewhere, man. That n**** don’t run s*** round here, not with me”, Turk vehemently expressed.

B.G. Continues To Shade Turk

Now, B.G. is returning the favor in a pretty harsh manner. It took a while for him to make his point, but here is what he had to say in a recent interview. Overall, the Louisiana rapper proposes that if him, Wayne, or Juvenile do not return, then Hot Boys would not be the same. However, if Turk were to turn down the opportunity for good, then no one would care. LeToya Luckett of Destiny’s Child even caught a stray from B.G., as he compared his Turk to the R&B singer being left out of the trio. It seems that Hot Boys reunion album is a faint possibility at this point.

What are your thoughts on B.G. continuing to diss Turk amid the Hot Boys reunion drama? Do you think they will be able to reconcile and move forward? Will Turk respond to B.G. why or why not, and should he? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Turk Blasts BG For Dissing His Absence At Cash Money Reunion

You probably have noticed that there’s a storm brewing within Cash Money and the Hot Boys specifically, as the collective seems a bit fractured. Moreover, Birdman hosted a label reunion at the Essence Festival recently, but not only did Lil Wayne have a solo set instead of performing alongside his crew, but Turk of the Hot Boys was not present at all. He said he wouldn’t go and cited business issues as his reasoning, something that B.G. was not happy with at all. He blasted his group mate on social media, and now that we have a response from Turk, we can understand what’s going on a little better… emphasis on “little.”

It’s only one n***a ain’t in this b***h, you heard me?” B.G. expressed on Instagram Live, seemingly addressing Turk’s absence at the reunion. “He brought that on his self, you heard me? N***a did a bunch of h*e s**t and can’t take it back. He gotta fault his self for not being here. I know there’s gonna be a lot of people that’s like, ‘Oh, well, such and such, whoop de whoop.’ The n***a know what he did last summer. And I’ma just leave it like that.”

Turk & BG Diss Each Other Online

“You n***as want that s**t to come together because you n***as f***ed up outchea,” Turk clapped back online. “He might run that s**t with you n***as, he don’t run that s**t with me,” Turk continued against B.G. “He ain’t doing nothing but running his motherf***ing mouth. Them wack a** raps, man. That s**t wack, n***a. All you n***as d**k-riding around here, man. That s**t wack. That’s why the n***a gotta play all these motherf***ing games. He tryna get some time off motherf***ing [clout].”

Lil Wayne Performs At Essence Festival But Not At Birdman, Cash Money & Hot Boys Reunion

Fans got a Birdman, Cash Money, and Hot Boys reunion at the Essence Festival in New Orleans on Friday (July 5), but not the one they might’ve hoped for. Moreover, Lil Wayne didn’t perform with his former label mates, instead doing a solo show after their set after he replaced the Cash Money logos with his Young Money insignias. He performed for about 20 minutes starting at around 1:30AM local time, wasn’t backstage with the group, and the fact that some artists that technically aren’t Cash Money Records roster members performed suggest that there are still issues to work out in the camp. Maybe they’re logistical, and perhaps they’re more beef-driven.

Furthermore, these guests at the Cash Money reunion included former New Orleans mayor Marc Morial, who presented a National Urban League proclamation to a Cash delegation with Birdman’s brother and record label co-boss Ronald Williams. He and Slim got their flowers recently with a street naming ceremony in their city. Regardless, performers included a live band, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Stunna himself, B.G., The LOX, Bun B, Scarface, and 2 Chainz. Turk, one of four Hot Boys member and the only one we haven’t mentioned so far, hinted that “business” issues prevented his appearance, and it’s unclear whether this has anything to do with inner tension.

Birdman Speaks At Essence Festival & Some Fans Unfoundedly Think He’s Talking About Lil Wayne

“My name is Tunechi,” Lil Wayne remarked as his show began with “Uproar” after all the other artists went off stage. “I’m here on behalf of Young Money f***ing Records,” he added, notably replacing his former Cash Money imprint with his now independent offshoot. In fact, some Young Money members joined him to perform “Every Girl,” and he went offstage before Birdman, Mannie Fresh, and B.G. returned for the Big Tymers’ “Still Fly.” Looks like Weezy is still outside the loop when it comes to this reunion, or perhaps he chose to stay out of it.

“Every day I did this s**t it was painful for me, because I lost Ms. Gladys as a youngster and I never recovered from that,” Birdman said of his late mother during the performance. “I was just trying to bless some young n***as who was headed in the direction I was headed. I swear to God on everything I love, and I love nothing more than Ms. Gladys, I would never let my city down and be a p***y a** n***a for nobody.”

Birdman Hopes Drake Will Pull Up To Perform At Cash Money Reunion Set At Essence Fest

Birdman is hosting a Cash Money reunion at New Orleans, Louisiana’s 30th anniversary rendition of the Essence Festival on Friday (July 5), and the festival’s been running since Thursday, July 4 and will continue through Sunday. Moreover, it will probably be a star-studded and very special affair to witness alongside Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, and more, and the record label’s co-CEO and cofounder emailed Billboard about how excited he is for it. In addition, he also hinted at Young Money icon Drake pulling up for an appearance, which would be very notable since Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” music video just dropped.

It’s been 15, 20 years since we’ve been onstage together,” Birdman remarked. “We’ve got a great production and some special guests. It’s going to be amazing! We are working on a few things that we can’t talk about yet. But I can promise you that it’s going to be a night to remember. We’re excited to be a part of the Essence Festival … We’re going to bring the energy; we’re going to have a good time. And we’re going to make sure the crowd has a good time, too.” “Everybody you thinking of as far as Cash Money will be there,” he told People for a July 4 piece. “But, also a lot of people that started with me when we was young in the game. It’s going to be a great night.”

Birdman & Drake Back In 2010

Elsewhere during that conversation, Birdman announced that B.G. will also make and appearance, and here’s where he teased a performance from the 6ix God. “We’re all excited to have B.G. home after doing 13 years in the penitentiary,” he told the publication. “It’s his first time touching anybody’s stage so that’s exciting. We’re definitely looking forward to that and hoping that do happen. It’s a possibility. We made this a family thing, but Drake, we’re close friends. He one of us.” In addition, Stunna also revealed that the reunion will include a tribute to Magnolia Shorty, the late and legendary Cash Money MC who passed in 2010 at just 28 years old. “We lost a lot of great artists over the years, but Magnolia Shorty was one of the most special,” he noted. “We’re going to do a song for her and celebrate her life.”

Meanwhile, Essence Fest isn’t the only relevant organization here that celebrated its 30th anniversary recently. So did Cash Money, as Birdman and his brother and business partner Ronald “Slim” Williams were recently honored at a YouTube Music event. Specifically, it was a Leaders and Legends gala on June 27 in Hollywood, and Lil Wayne was there to show some love. With all this in mind, Cash Money’s Essence set should be a very exciting and fulfilling event. “I feel like once you start getting honored, you’re finished with it and I’m not finished with it. I’m far from finished,” he told People.

Lil Wayne Knows Nothing About A Hot Boys Reunion: “You Just Told Me!”

Rumors of a potential Hot Boys reunion album have been circulating for some time now, but according to Lil Wayne, he knows nothing about it. During a recent appearance on the Not Just Football podcast, the rapper was asked about it, prompting him to call some of Juvenile’s previous claims into question. In May of this year, Juvenile took to Instagram Live to announce that the group’s first album in over two decades was in the works.

“The Hot Boys Is back together, man,” he declared at the time, stating that he and other members planned to hit the studio in the coming weeks. “Any other f*cking questions?” For obvious reasons, his announcement had fans eager to hear what was to come, but it looks like the wait could be longer than they may have hoped.

Lil Wayne Discusses Hot Boys Reunion Album

It’s certainly possible that Juvenile linked up with some of the other Hot Boys, but Lil Wayne insists that he himself hasn’t done any work on the project. “That’s what he [said]? I ain’t been to the kitchen yet. I would not lie to you, I have not been in that kitchen yet,” he said, “I have no problem with going to that kitchen, but I ain’t smell it, it ain’t come through the window yet. I ain’t smell the food […] They ain’t told me nothing yet.”

Fortunately, it seems as though Lil Wayne is willing to take part in a reunion album, despite not knowing much about it at this point. Hopefully, he’ll touch base with Juvenile and the rest of the members soon to work out the details. What do you think of Lil Wayne revealing that he knows nothing about the previously announced Hot Boys reunion album? Do you hope he gets in the studio soon? Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy Finally Give Fans The Reunion They Dreamed Of At “The Pop Out”

TDE supergroup Black Hippy finally fulfilled fans’ dreams and hit the stage together for the first time in a long time at member Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out” concert last night (Wednesday, Juneteenth). Of course, the team behind the show promoted it as an event “with friends,” so guest appearances and special performances were par the course. Still, a lot of folks assumed that Ken would bring out Baby Keem and recent collaborators as well, but a more skeptical buzz when it came to whether Black Hippy would reunite. In retrospect, assuming that Mr. Morale wouldn’t capitalize on this opportunity with his L.A. brothers sounds outright ridiculous.

Moreover, here’s how it all went down. First, Jay Rock emerged during Kendrick Lamar’s performance of “Money Trees” to deliver one of his best verses ever. Then, Ab-Soul came out to sing the beginning of Kendrick’s “6:16 In LA” Drake diss, which he had posted a notable video of doing back when the beef was at a more heightened tension level. Finally, ScHoolboy Q came out to his K.Dot collab “Collard Greens.” The quartet stuck around to vibe out to Q’s “THat Part” (no Black Hippy remix verses, sadly) and to Ken’s “King Kunta.”

Black Hippy Returns At Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out”

Obviously, they all popped out for the multiple performances on “Not Like Us,” which was another heartening moment to see. If you remove the context of a Drake diss (a near-impossible task, as the setlist opened with “Euphoria” and also included the “Like That” verse), “The Pop Out” seems like a wholly positive and unitary event. It certainly was so, but Kendrick Lamar made it clear that it wasn’t all fun and games, either. After all, duality is a Gemini’s best friend.

Also, it was amazing to see some love and renewed respect for Los Angeles legends that the newer generation might be less familiar with. The biggest non-musical example of this is the appearance of Tommy The Clown, an L.A. dance legend that invented the “clowning” dance style that led to “krumping” during the 1992 Rodney King riots. Surely more info and West Coast history will emerge as a result of Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out.” Hopefully more celebrations of the culture can happen throughout the year that aren’t tied to PDF file-downloading allegations.
