Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Gets Travel Request Approved For “Pink Friday 2” Tour

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty asked a judge for permission to travel with her on her Pink Friday 2 world tour. Petty, who is a convicted sex offender, previously failed to register in Los Angeles after relocating to be near Nicki. As a result, he’s on probation, meaning that he can’t travel outside of the U.S. freely.

In his request, Petty claimed that he’d be accompanying Nicki on tour for “various purposes, including childcare.” Luckily for him, and he and Nicki’s son Papa Bear, it looks like things are looking up. Today, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald approved his request, meaning that he’ll be able to take part in all of the Pink Friday 2 fun with the rest of his family.

Petty Can Now Join Nicki On Tour

In his filing, Petty claimed that his probation officer “does not oppose” the Queens native traveling with Nicki. He previously asked that the filing be kept secret, but that request was rejected. Currently, Nicki is scheduled to perform in various cities across the U.S. and Canada before heading to Europe in May.

While Petty’s travel request is no longer an issue for the high-profile pair, it’s not the only obstacle they’re facing. Last month, it was reported that a judge had granted their alleged assault victim a default judgment, meaning that they owe the security guard roughly $500K. What do you think of Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty asking a judge for permission to travel with her on her Pink Friday 2 tour? What about his request getting approved? Young Thug Requests Mistrial In YSL RICO Case

Day one of the Young Thug and YSL RICO trial already got off to a pretty wild and contentious start. Moreover, during the prosecution’s opening statements, in which they presented some PowerPoint slides, Thug’s attorney Brian Steele interrupted- which reporter Meghan Cuniff noted is bizarre for legal proceedings- and called for a mistrial in this case. This is due to his claim that the information in these slides wasn’t disclosed, and the defense lawyer said that these revelations were barred in court. All this is according to Cuniff, who added that the District Attorney’s team acknowledged that they messed up by proposing a curative jury instruction. Of course, they still objected to a mistrial motion.

Furthermore, Cuniff also quoted a prosecutor in the Young Thug trial whose inflammatory take provided objection. “‘What you will not hear any evidence of is that the defendants were not involved in a criminal street gang,’” she wrote. “Unreal burden shifting from a prosecutor here. Stunning that she said this and seemed surprised when there was an objection. ‘If that’s the case, then she’s just lying to the court.’” It’s unclear who the journalist quoted with that last sentence, but we can assume it’s the defense’s opposition to the prosecutor.

Young Thug’s Lawyer Brian Steele Keeps Pushing For Mistrial: See Updates

However, this isn’t a win on either side, as the court denied previous motions to dismiss this case and no one is any happier with what prosecutors have been doing. As such, it’s harder than ever to tell what will happen with this case moving forward, which is ironic considering that it’s finally underway after so long. What’s most worrisome about these developments, though, is how they obfuscate what Young Thug and YSL’s tru culpability is in all this. With so many differing procedures, contested approaches, and lack of informational organization, it’s clear that both sides are struggling to reckon with the breadth, scope, and visibility of this case.

Regardless, this rocky start to this RICO trial prompted many to look back at what happened with Thugger and YSL up until this point. There’s a lot to sum up and consider, without even accounting for the details and developments that didn’t make it to the media cycle. Nevertheless, hopefully this trial aims to concern itself with the evidence and the arguments at hand in a clear, fair, equitable, and effective way for the sake of all those involved. On that note, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Young Thug and the YSL RICO trial.

50 Cent Brushes Off Son’s $10K Apple Cash Request

50 Cent just took to Instagram to slightly ridicule his 10-year-old son Sire’s alleged request for $10K via Apple Cash. Moreover, he posted a screenshot of the request with no further details, instead choosing to elaborate in his post’s caption. “I just got this from my son SIRE, [eyes emoji],” Fif wrote. “He is 10 years old I hope this is a joke.” Apparently, all the hard work that the music and business mogul put in for his cash isn’t easily forgotten, and he’s not one to give it indiscriminately- even to his children. Still, many wondered how the young Jackson family member could’ve schemed this out to begin with. Kids and tech are just growing too fast these days.

Regardless, Sire’s hustling has probably transcended even 50 Cent’s expectations, as he apparently passed down his money-making mindset to him. According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, the young buck (whom Curtis shares with his ex Daphne Joy) got $700,000 for his first modeling contract. What’s more is that the reportedly lucrative move came when Sire was just two years old. It’s always quite impressive, however jarring, to see kids adapt to our hyper-capital-obsessed world with ease.

50 Cent Hopes His Son’s Apple Cash Request Is A Joke

Not only that, but Sire seems to be following 50 Cent’s footsteps into the wider entertainment industry. Moreover, the G-Unit mogul recently celebrated his son being cast in the upcoming horror film Skill House in August of 2022. Of course, 50 took to Instagram to show off Sire talking to the flick’s director, Josh Stolberg. From what his caption indicates, he’ll star in an undisclosed role that Stolberg is expecting hard work from, as he’s seen listening intently to the director.

Once again in September of that year, the Queens legend expressed pride in his ten-year-old son when he received a Student of the Month award in language arts from his school. “My boy getting student of the month,” the rapper captioned his celebratory post. With all those achievements in mind, maybe Sire’s just looking for some extra cash to invest or put into his career. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest on Sire Jackson and 50 Cent.

Tory Lanez Retrial Request “Lacks Substance,” Prosecutors Say

The case of Tory Lanez and his shooting of Megan Thee Stallion isn’t over yet, but prosecutors seem determined to uphold the original verdict. Moreover, they expressed that the rapper’s motion for a new trial “lacks substance” according to court law. Los Angeles County prosecutors gave a Response to the Defendant’s Motion for a New Trial, and that motion surfaced on Thursday (April 6). In it, attorneys Kathy Ta and Alexander Bott point to a number of reasons as to why Tory’s request is unfounded. With this development, the court’s response to each side will prove crucial to his accountability

First, prosecutors pointed to the main reason why a defendant may request a new trial: if they can “demonstrate a reversible error or other defect.” Furthermore, the defense team argued for a retrial based on evidence that they didn’t fight back against in court. As such, the prosecution did not identify any significant “error” or “defect” that calls for a retrial. They maintained the defense had the chance to comment on said evidence. Another point they brought up was Lanez’s access to counsel under the Sixth Amendment, which the defense team denied.

Prosecution Blasts Tory Lanez’s Retrial Request

Also, no evidence (including DNA) was determined to be improper in the trial. Not only that, but said evidence wasn’t objected to at trial, making it “proper” in the legal sense. Said conclusions mean that the defense can’t retroactively dismiss the evidence or a faulty proceeding under rule of law. In addition, prosecutors disputed Tory Lanez’s claims that he couldn’t testify and that they violated his rights of due process.

“Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David J. Herriford is scheduled to consider Lanez’s new trial request Monday (April 10) at 10:30 a.m.,” Law & Crime reporter Meghan Cuniff tweeted. “Lanez was to be sentenced that day if Herriford rejects the motion. But the sentencing is now expected to be delayed to late April or early May.” Tory Lanez faces up to 22 years in prison and deportation to Canada ahead of sentencing.
