Recently, he dropped off a song called “Light Again,” although it came with more controversy than praise.

Although the internet sure does love coming through and making all kinds of assumptions about people and their love lives. With that in mind, Nas X appears to be unbothered. Even through all of the beef with Azealia Banks, the man is just doing his thing.

Ever since coming into the industry, Nas X has unapologetically been himself, and you have to appreciate that. One has to wonder what will be next for the singer/rapper. If you only know French Montana casually for his rap career, you might be surprised by some of his curious celebrity connections. They aren’t always a positive surprise in many’s eyes, as he recently caught heat for hanging out with Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law. But the Moroccan-American MC’s most recent famous link-up has a lot of fans thinking that romance could be brewing… A royal one, to be exact. Fans noticed that he’s spent a lot of time recently with Her Highness Shaikha Mahra, the Princess of Dubai. That’s not spicy enough for you? Well, she recently announced her divorce from her husband on Instagram.

Of course, these are just rumors based on some social media pictures and videos floating around of completely friendly and non-romantic interactions, so don’t take them too seriously. But we’d imagine that French Montana might at least be appreciating that people seem a tad more accepting of his circle this time around. That’s “Unforgettable” with Swae Lee, a track so massive that this isn’t a very surprising accolade. But hardcore hip-hop fans still squirmed at the idea, as haters are going to hate. Maybe another song will eventually dethrone it, whether a newer hit or a classic.

Meanwhile, French Montana also caused a lot of discussion this year for something that he wasn’t even a part of. Rick Ross claimed that Drake sent French a cease and desist over a feature verse, something that even Gamma’s CEO seemed to confirm. Rod Wave Threatens Chris Sails After Spreading Rumors About Wave’s Alleged New Flame

Off the release of Rod Wave’s new album Last Lap, a lot of fans have questions about his song topics and their relation to his real life… Just don’t make too many assumptions about it. That’s what popular YouTuber Chris Sails learned when he took to social media to claim that Wave and his child’s mother are going through a rough patch right now. Then, Sails questioned why the rapper and singer keeps making sad songs, presumably about this topic, when he allegedly has a new girlfriend. The YouTuber did not offer any confirmation of this, though, so these are still just social media rumors on the gossip train at the end of the day.

Regardless, Rod Wave eventually caught wind of this, and he was understandably not pleased. “Aye Chris sail when we catch u we gone beat tf out u boyyyyy for da f**k of it,” he tweeted. “lol jk,” the “25” artist followed up. Soon after, Chris Sails returned to TikTok to react to these tweets and apologize to Wave for his presumptions and gossiping. He even started to sing one of his songs to show that he was a big fan, and that he meant no harm with his speculation.

Elsewhere, Rod Wave also handled another social media narrative that seemed to propagate at his expense. GloRilla called him out for dropping an album the same day she was. “WHY DF WOULD YOU DROP ON MY DAY IM FINNA TWEAK OUT,” she wrote in Wave’s Instagram comments section upon the announcement of the aforementioned Last Lap. While this seems to be a joke, a theory bolstered by Glo engaging with his own social media page, some folks interpreted it as legitimate frustration.

Nevertheless, whether or not this is a contentious matter or just a light-hearted one, Rod Wave outsold GloRilla, so maybe she was right to be a little disillusioned. However, numbers don’t determine greatness in art. Fans enjoyed both new albums for wildly different reasons, and their crossover audience can get a kick out of both. Also, they found that the Bronx femcee is actually following this account. However, as you can see in the comments section of the Instagram post below, a lot of fans aren’t buying this theory.

As such, it seems more likely than not that Cardi B will eventually dismiss this gossip just like how she seemed to write off the Stefon Diggs claims. “The internet is insane,” she had expressed during a previous Instagram Live session. “All these rumors are so f***ing crazy. That’s why I don’t want to address it because I feel like it’s funny. While he didn’t go into much detail all things considered, this is definitely the most direct and elaborated response to this speculation so far. All we wonder is why this was so big for basketball reporters to cover…

Since Young Thug is unfortunately still behind bars, we can’t really get many life updates from him that fall outside of his RICO case alongside YSL. As such, whenever they do allegedly pop up, they always have to come accompanied by a huge grain of salt. The latest example of this is an Instagram tribute to Thugger from a woman named Daisy, writing “Free Jeffery” and a rendition of a snake in a pool full of flowers. Of course, this prompted a whole lot of relationship rumors and speculation that he had another woman in his life that wasn’t his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist.

As such, fans tagged Mariah in this post incessantly, but this is all too unclear and vague to really call either way. We know that Young Thug has had many partners in the past, and it’s impossible to know who he’s still in contact with. The last development that we got concerning his RICO case is DJ Akademiks’ belief that he will be found guilty. Other than that and other social media discussions, not much has happened over the past week or so.
