Tony Yayo Thinks NBA YoungBoy Has Too Much Money To Be Worrying About Prison Time

Tony Yayo’s latest interview with DJ Vlad on VladTV let his fans know that he’s about the money above all other things. Moreover, at one point during their conversation, they got around to discussing NBA YoungBoy’s 48-charge case for alleged prescription drug fraud, which has found the rapper in yet another legal bind. However, according to the G-Unit affiliate, YB doesn’t really need to worry about prison time or about facing criminal charges when he’s sitting on so much money. In fact, Tony said that he would spend ten years in prison for $100 million without flinching, suggesting that this amount would do far more for others rather than just himself.

Furthermore, this statement from Tony Yayo emerged amid reports of YoungBoy’s earnings during his house arrest period. According to Wack 100, his prolific release schedule and commercial relationship to his music (masters, publishing, distribution, etc.) netted him anywhere between $50 million to $100 million within a single year. The Baton Rouge MC has certainly dropped a lot of material while out in Utah, but that doesn’t stop these numbers from being quite impressive. Of course, we don’t really know for sure how much money he actually generated, but with such a ravenous fanbase, we guess we can’t express too much surprise.

Still, other rappers on VladTV have had other thoughts on YoungBoy’s situation, with Boosie Badazz being one guest who offered a more empathetic perspective. “I just feel like when you need help, you need help,” he remarked. “I was facing jail time. This is right before I went, and I couldn’t get off the weed and codeine. I needed help. When I got to prison, I did more codeine than I was doing on the streets. I needed help. It was no amount of time that I was facing that could make me get off it… I was sent straight to prison, I was never even offered rehab.”

Meanwhile, apart from YoungBoy, Tony Yayo also spoke with DJ Vlad about the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef… because why wouldn’t they? Jokes aside, he specifically gave a theory as to why some rappers are scared to diss Drizzy because they want to go to Canada without any issues. Some pretty interesting examples definitely emerged regarding this, with both Rick Ross and ScHoolboy Q facing some trouble up north. Let’s see what else comes of this, and whether or not YoungBoy would really remain behind bars for a big bag.

Cardi B Affiliate Star Brim Delays Prison Surrender Due To Family Matters

Cardi B’s friend Star Brim was unfortunately convicted and sentenced to jail time over RICO charges back in March due to her involvement with the 5-9 Brims gang. However, according to AllHipHop, she secured a small legal win recently, as on Wednesday (June 26), she reportedly secured a delay in her prison surrender. Moreover, Judge George B. Daniels had initially set Star’s surrender date as July 1 for her to begin her one year and one day jail sentence. This past Wednesday, her lawyer requested to delay the date until her son starts school, so she can take him to his first day of kindergarten.

Furthermore, while Star Brim is in prison, her sister will take care of the boy. “We respectfully request that she remain at liberty until September 16, 2024 to allow her son to adjust to his new surroundings and the beginning of school,” Star’s attorney expressed. Judge Daniels accepted this change, and her prison surrender to an institution that the Bureau of Prisons will determine will now occur on September 20 of this year, according to the new schedule. This RICO case also arrested 17 other alleged gang members, and prosecutors claimed that Star acted as their “godmother.”

After Star Brim’s prison time, the court ordered her to three years of supervised release and subjected her to terms barring recursions to gang activity. “One thing I’m not going to do is let anybody on this internet, or anybody in real life, make me feel bad for getting less time while standing ten toes,” she expressed on social media concerning her case. “Nobody’s going to ever make me feel bad about something like that. Ever. Like, I’m never going to feel bad about that.”

In addition, Star Brim blasted people who “want [her] to go to jail so bad” and thanked her friend Cardi B for her assistance in the case. “Shoutout to my lawyer. And also shoutout to my friend that paid for my $350K for that lawyer… Yeah, I had a paid lawyer. Thank you to my friend, thank you Cardi. Shoutout to you, you feel me, shoutout to a real one.”

Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer Demands No Jumper Pay Him For Prison Release Coverage

Pop Smoke’s alleged killer pulled up to No Jumper in Los Angeles demanding payment for their coverage of his release from prison. Few details have been confirmed regarding his release, but it appears he got out of a juvenile detention center for his 21st birthday. “You got all these people following me. All these people doing all this extra sh*t.,” he began, before demanding No Jumper pay him for the coverage. He concluded by threatening them not to do so again. Sometime later, he filmed himself outside of the store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

No Jumper doesn’t appear too concerned about the posts, as they shared them on Instagram themselves. One user in the comments wrote: “69 is alive and well, George Zimmerman is alive and well, nipsey killer is chilling and so is Vons Killer. Nobody gon do none and we’ve seen it happen time and time an time again.” Another questioned how he’s out so soon: “I am still perplexed how you can takes someone life and be out in the streets a few years later. But people are locked up for decades over non violent drug offenses??!?”

While one alleged killer has gotten out of prison, another has yet to go on trial. Corey Walker, who is the only defendant who was an adult at the time of the killing, was scheduled to begin trial this week, but a deal with the prosecution fell through. He’s pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, two counts of robbery, and one count of burglary in the killing of the late rapper. “Negotiations fell through, but there’s still a possibility we’ll come to an agreement,” Walker’s lawyer, Deion Benjamin, told Rolling Stone. “A few things need to be ironed out. If they don’t get resolved, we’ll go to trial.” The trial will continue on August 6 if both sides don’t come to an agreement.

Young Chop Seemingly Fights A Fellow Jail Inmate In New Body Cam Footage

Young Chop has been in jail for a while now, and while we’re sure that a lot of conflicts emerge in there, this is the first one that we know of publicly. Moreover, new body cam footage leaked online from April 10, and seemingly shows him fighting with another inmate in a cell. The Chicago drill producer apparently swung at his fellow inmate from behind, and they then got into a one-on-one scuffle that the officer in question attempted to halt. It’s very unclear what prompted this or whether or not this is part of a larger issue or altercation, but either way, it looks like he wasn’t able to sneak a swing on his colleague successfully.

Furthermore, Young Chop has unfortunately faced a lot of difficulties and obstacles in the 2020s decade so far. For one, he had to reckon with this jail time, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and for multiple charges including probation violation and animal cruelty. Another reason is that Chop sadly lost his brother Johnny May Cash to violence, which followed some possible tension with other individuals from the city. Hopefully this documented fight was just a one-off incident and he doesn’t have to deal with that as he heals from other circumstances.

However, hopefully there are brighter days ahead for Young Chop, who has still been able to occasionally drop new music during his time in jail. For example, he released the mixtape Under Surveillance back in 2021 as he dealt with some of these issues, bolstered by singles and hot collabs. While it’s been pretty radio silent since, it’s also very understandable that the focus is more on his physical and criminal obstacles. After all, things seem much bigger than what any one artist is able to fix or mitigate.

Meanwhile, we wonder if Young Chop’s animosity towards Kanye West remains or if prison has changed his assessment a bit. Regardless, he surely developed some very interesting perspectives on the world and how it changed since his legal issues began. Maybe that’s what prompted this prison fight in the first place. We’ll probably never know for sure, but hopefully his eventual freedom will show this new mentality.

Birdman Goes Viral For Telling Inmates That Reading Books Won’t Help Them

Birdman is catching backlash on social media for how he handled a group of inmates asking him for help getting books for a prison he was visiting. The incident was caught on video and posted by Worldstar. When one inmate asked for help getting literature for the group to read, Birdman responded: “If you think reading books is gonna help– no disrespect to reading books,” before the video cuts off. It’s unclear where the clip takes place.

In the comments section, fans weren’t happy with the way Birdman handled the situation. “Birdman wants to make sure no one knows how to read them contracts,” one user joked. Another remarked: “This guy went to jail and made things worse SMH.” Others were more serious with their criticism of the music mogul. One fan argued: “This just pissed me off.. does he NOT know the power reading & literature holds?” One more wrote: “Disappointing that he just went in there to flex power and ain’t listening to real cries for help.”

Sean Kingston’s Mother Is Out Of Jail After Shocking Arrest For Fraud

Sean Kingston’s family was in for a big shock last week, as he and his mother were both arrested on accusations of fraud and theft. Whereas authorities caught the singer at a concert in California, where he remains awaiting his extradition hearing for Florida, they brought Janice Turner into custody during Thursday’s (May 23) raid on his Florida home. According to court records, she faces eight charges including organizing a scheme of defraudation, grand theft, and identity theft. The 61-year-old attended her bail hearing on Friday (May 24) and later provided the $160,000 bail that led to her Sunday afternoon (May 26) release from the Broward County jail, according to TMZ.

Furthermore, police also arrested Sean Kingston that Thursday while he was in Fort Irwin, California for a performance at a military event. It’s a little unclear whether he’s been in jail this whole time or if he already had his extradition hearing and is just waiting for the next steps. Either way, it looks like they both have a lot of legal issues to deal with for the rest of 2024. It would also add onto their previous history, as Janice Turner already has a 2005 conviction for bank fraud.

Sean Kingston’s Mother Attends Bail Hearing

Meanwhile, as for the raid on Sean Kingston’s Florida home, TMZ reportedly obtained some photos from inside the property (which you can check out with the “Via” link down below) that detail some of what went down. Apparently, the cops got some valuable merchandise and property out of the house, including a massive LED television set valued at $150,000. This could relate to how authorities want the Kingstons to repay for their alleged crimes. The claims are that they stole almost $500,000 in jewelry, over $200,000 from Bank Of America, $160,000 from a car dealer, $100,000 from First Republic Bank, and $86,000 for a custom bed.

As such, this totals over $1 million in allegedly stolen goods, services, or fraudulent transactions, which is a pretty steep amount to answer for. This hasn’t resulted in much sympathy from the entertainment world, as The Game recently clowned Turner’s mugshot. However, there’s a chance that this could all turn around for Sean Kingston, so we’ll have to see what other updates emerge. Stressing out about prison is one thing, but dealing with your mother’s place in it must be another feeling entirely that is now moot.

Benzino Says R Kelly Deserves A Second Chance, He Shouldn’t “Rot In Jail”

Benzino discussed R Kelly during a recent appearance on the We In Miami Podcast and argued that the disgraced singer deserves a second chance at freedom. Kelly is currently serving 31 years in prison after being convicted of multiple charges of federal racketeering and sex trafficking involving sexual abuse of minors.

“Everyone deserves a second chance. I know that [Elvis Presley], a lot of motherf—-s was f—g with young girls,” Benzino said, as caught by Hollywood Unlocked. From there, he clarified: “I’m not into that. Again. The legal age is 16. So does that make it right if a n—a does it?” When the room responded “no,” he added: “But it’s legal in America. So why is R. Kelly doing all this time? Because you know why? They’re 13, 14, two years younger.” Once again, he reiterated: “I’m not condoning n—s f——g little girls. It’s sick. But I don’t think R Kelly should rot in jail for 30 years either.”

Many disagreed with Benzino with one remarking: “He met Aaliyah when she was just 12 and married her at 14, nah keep him in there.” Others took his side in the argument. “He’s got a point, why didn’t Elvis get in trouble for moving in that 14 yr old and then marrying her at 16? Sheff G Released From Prison After Posting Bond

Sheff G returned to Instagram on Sunday (April 21) to share some heartening news for fans: following a gun possession case and an indictment against him, Sleepy Hallow, and many others on gang allegations, he is now once again a free man. “10 MILL BOND , 1.5 MILL CASH BAIL WAS THE TICKET‼,” he captioned his post. “BAIL PAID SAME DAY ARE YOU DUMB, SHEFF G BACK‼ NEW YORK. WE FUCKING LITTTTT THEY COUNTED ME OUT!! THEY THOUGHT I WAS DONE , PEACE AND LOVE TO YALL LOL. ( WINNERSCIRCLE IM W THE STARS BABY. YOU CAN COME AND EAT W US YOU AINT GOTTA STARVEE BABYYYYYYY #FREETHEGUYZ #BAILOUTBOYZZZZZ.”

Furthermore, the Flatbush drill MC also posted some proof of all this with some screenshots that attested to his $10 million bond and $1.5 million cash bail, posted the same day. In addition, this post also included some videos of his return, which see him in very good spirits all things considered. Overall, it’s heartening to see that Sheff G overcame this part of his life and career at least for now, and hopefully he and his associates stay out of trouble. This is true especially for other rappers, as he recently squashed beef with Nas EBK and Smooky MarGielaa, even performing together at Rikers.

Of course, Sheff G unfortunately faced a lot of accusations about his alleged involvement in gang activity. This is an issue that many folks historically attributed to New York drill, a scene that also has a tough time receiving the proper support and guidance due to this bias. Regardless, it’s unfortunately not something exclusive to rap. Some major changes well beyond the scope of music are necessary to improve the city’s socioeconomic conditions, incentivize good behavior, defend their freedom of speech, and prevent harm and violence as much as possible.

Meanwhile, this release follows that of Sleepy Hallow last year, one that Sheff anticipated by promising his own very soon after. After 14 months, that promise finally came true. We’ll see what these returns to the rap game and to everyday life look like moving forward, and wish them the best path possible. For more news and the latest updates on Sheff G, log back into HNHH.
