Congratulatory messages are pouring in for Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca Dupart, who are expecting their first child together. The couple has embarked on a fertility journey met with highs and lows, and today (February 21), they shared their big news. The announcement arrived via PEOPLE, and in the feature, Brat showed off her growing baby bump. “It’s been quite a journey,” the 48-year-old said. “There’s a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40.”

Brat said she and Dupart began discussing having children because of a business move. Dupart owns and operates the mega-successful Kaleidoscope hair care brand, and she partnered with Brat for a new line. They joked about expanding their family, and soon, the conversation about having children became more serious. “Then we got a huge response. It was like, ‘Oh my God do we want to actually have kids, and if we do, girl, we better hurry up!’”

Da Brat Never Believed She Would Be A Mother

Brat admitted that when it came to motherhood, she counted herself out. In fact, it wasn’t something she considered until marrying Dupart. “I never thought I was going to have kids,” she said. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

However, as love often does, it shifted Brat’s dreams for the future. Soon, she claimed, she began “looking at life so differently.” Being in love caused her to see that she wanted “a little me with you,” she said of her wife. “Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally.” Yet, the idea of carrying a child was almost out of the question. “I was like, nothing’s gonna come out of me!”

Jesseca Dupart Had To Do A Bit Of Convincing

Rihanna’s father found out about her second baby during her Super Bowl halftime show, just like the rest of us mortals. Moreover, Ronald Fenty told TMZ that he’s incredibly happy that her daughter’s expecting again with her husband A$AP Rocky. However, since he has four grandsons already, Ronald expressed that he’s hoping for a girl this time. Also, he added that he’s very excited at the idea of having a granddaughter, especially considering how RiRi turned out. Though he expressed those hopes for her first pregnancy, too, maybe a second go at it will yield more luck.

Furthermore, Ronald detailed to TMZ how the superstar singer got him tickets to the Super Bowl. Still, she didn’t let him know that she’s going to drop some big news soon. So, he felt very surprised when he looked up at the floating Smash Bros.-esque stage design and saw her girl’s bump from the stands. “Oh, my God!” he exclaimed to his partner in the audience. “My baby girl looks pregnant!” Many might remember how difficult it was to tell as the halftime show aired. While Twitter came to conclusions quickly, surely many Super Bowl parties took a while to debate or notice the bump.

Regardless, Rihanna’s statement shook the world and elevated an already compelling performance for some. With that statement came renewed hopes for a daughter for Ronald, which he likely doesn’t feel too pressed over all things considered. After all, he said back when she announced her first pregnancy that he had a feeling they wouldn’t stop at two. Not only that, but it also represents another chance for him to be more involved. Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Never Hired A Nanny After Son’s Birth

Rihanna says that she and A$AP Rocky chose not to hire a nanny after the birth of their son. The iconic singer discussed motherhood during an interview with British Vogue after headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show, earlier this month. Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their first child together in May 2022. Rihanna is currently pregnant with their second child.

“We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby,” Rihanna told the outlet. “I cannot believe it,” she said. “Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts. And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to.”

“Man, you’re a zombie for the most part,” she continued. “You’re just going through the motions and even then you’re so paranoid. Because you’re like: they trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us? No doctors, no nurses, we’re just… going home?”

Rihanna also described the first several months with their child as “legendary.” She explained: “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever. You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because…. Because it doesn’t matter.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Rihanna discussed her next album, admitting that she wants to drop it at some point this year. “I want it to be this year,” Rihanna told the outlet. “Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.” She added: “I realized that if I keep waiting until this feels right and perfect and better, maybe it’s going to keep taking forever and maybe it’ll never come out and no, I’m not down to that.”

However, there were even rumors of her pregnancy prior to that. According to TMZ, Rihanna hid her pregnancy from roughly 280 backup dancers during rehearsals. Though the pregnancy reveal played a huge part in the show itself, Rih disguised the baby bump by rocking baggy clothes. Sources close to the publication explained that at Saturday and Sunday’s rehearsals, Rih wore loose clothing to prevent anyone from finding out she was pregnant. That is until she hit the stage for her performance at the halftime show and revealed her belly. 

Those involved with the production reportedly only saw the baby bump when they were about to hit the stage. Rih rocked an outfit that seemingly helped reveal her pregnancy clearly. Chrisean Rock Addresses Blueface’s Reaction To Pregnancy

Chrisean Rock has responded to Blueface’s remarks about wanting a paternity test following her pregnancy announcement. Speaking with Complex, Rock addressed her partner’s comments and admitted she’s hoping for twins. The interview came ahead of the premiere of Zeus Network’s new show Baddies West in Los Angeles.

As for Blueface’s response on social media to the pregnancy, she explained he was “just being a clown.”

Rock also responded to Blueface’s claim that she “had encounters with 10 different men in the last year.”

Bobby Lytes Doubles Down On Chrisean Rock’s Pregnancy: “I Said What I Said”

Chrisean Rock continues to make headlines, especially now that she’s a mom-to-be. The controversial viral figure revealed that she was pregnant with Blueface’s baby, though the rapper denied he’s the father. Regardless of his position, Rock is intent on keeping the baby after suffering fertility issues due to several abortions.

Though many are happy for her, some felt that she’s far from ready to take care of another life. Bobby Lytes issued a message on Twitter this week where he said Rock needed to grow and evolve before taking on motherhood.

“Chrisean my sweet baby, you are NOT ready for a baby,” Lytes wrote. “One day, yes! I say this with so much love just take this time to grow and evolve. You can do it! I believe in you!”

The Baddies West star later clapped back, claiming that she could “take care of your ugly ass” if she wanted to. 

Ultimately, Lytes doubled down on his comments, claiming that Chrisean Rock lacks the maturity to properly love and care for a child.

“I said what I said and I still feel the same way I feel,” Lytes said before addressing Chrisean’s comments directly. “You tellin’ said you could probably take care of my ugly ass? That’s how I know you really not ready for a baby… Money doesn’t mean that you’re ready for a baby. I will say that with love because I feel like everyone on the internet is gaslighting you. Everybody is making you feel like, ‘it’s going to be okay.’… It will be okay but should nobody should be enabling your behavior.”

Bobby added that within 72 hours of announcing her pregnancy, she involved herself in 2 separate altercations.

India Royale just shut down pregnancy rumors via her social media apps after they swirled around the Internet. Moreover, the recently single influencer showed off her slim physique in a short Instagram live clip. After fans spotted her wearing a loose-fitted shirt, many thought that she was expecting.

With that in mind, people might just be looking for signs wherever they can find them. Regardless, many in the comments section of The Shade Room‘s report post made some funny observations about the situation.

“Being a celebrity is a lot because why are you taking pictures of me at McDonald’s and calling me pregnant ,” one user commented. Another wrote, “McDonald’s equals pregnancy? I’m confused,” referring to where fans spotted the loose shirt.

Moreover, a few users felt the need to bring up her ex, The Voice. Of course, it’s unclear who would’ve fathered this mystery baby, but people had their ideas. “Durk spreaded that rumor,” someone commented with a slew of laughing emojis. However, some were a little less charmed by the rumors. “The fact the women feel the need to prove to strangers that they’re not pregnant is sad, stay out ppls business,” a user added.
