50 Cent Trolls “Power Book II” Actor Over Show’s Cancelation

50 Cent has bizarrely chosen to troll an actor who publicly reacted to the cancelation of Power Book II: Ghost. After Michael Rainey Jr said he was “blindsided” by the cancelation, 50 Cent responded to the story on X, formerly Twitter. “Yeah because @michaelraineyjr don’t answer his phone, 🤷🏽‍♂️,” Fif wrote.

Power Book II: Ghost will end after its fourth season in what Starz has described as a cost-cutting move. “We want to contain content costs by developing more new shows versus sustaining series longer as they become more expensive. You look at the [Power] map and say, ‘OK, if I take one of those characters out and spin one of those out, I can bring that on to replace the Power show at half the cost.’ Now I’m putting a lot of money right to the bottom line. And I’m really not losing anything in terms of acquisition costs and subscriber viewership, because we know what those demos want,” Starz CEO Jeffery Hirsch explained.

BMF Fans Roast Show’s Weak 2Pac Casting

However, Power Book II is not the only Fif project making headlines. BMF fans have voiced their frustration over the show’s weak casting and portrayal of Tupac Shakur. Actor Mason Douglas only bears a passing resemblance to Pac, while the costuming debate chose to give him what can only be described as a Spirit Halloween 2Pac costume. Online, many fans commented “WhoPac” on clips from the show’s latest episode. 2Pac does not play much of a role in the story of BMF. However, his association with the powerful crime outfit is enough to warrant a brief cameo appearance as the show’s story unfolds.

The casting of 2Pac has always been a daunting one. Anthony Mackie, now best known for his work in the MCU, has famously recalled the dread he felt announcing that he would be playing 2Pac. Overall, most depictions of the beloved rapper have not gone over well with fans. How did you feel about 2Pac in BMF? Let us know in the comments.

“Power Book II: Ghost” Season 3 Trailer: Watch

Today (February 16), Starz released the trailer for the next season of Power Book II: Ghost. The trailer gives fans a glimpse into the highly-anticipated third season of the hit drama series. The show was created by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Courtney A. Kemp. The intense trailer shows audiences pieces of the brand-new twists, turns, and murders that will shake the show’s characters this season. Characters Tariq, Brayden, and the Tejada family grieve the death of Zeke. Based on the synopsis, this season is going to be “flashier, juicer, and sexier, with even more family drama, betrayals, and surprising new alliances.”

The previous season of Power Book II: Ghost left fans begging for more. Tariq is on a quest to get out of the game and reconnect with his family. Brayden possibly betrayed him before he was taken out of school. Additionally, the Tejada family has a substantial amount of product to distribute– more than ever before. Also, Riq has little to no options to cut ties with the family. The Tejada’s family matriarch is setting out to avenge Zeke’s death. She is also fighting to keep Davis MacLean, a criminal defense attorney, off her back. Another question that needs answers is if Effie got rid of Riq’s girlfriend, Lauren. Watch the trailer for Power Book II: Ghost season 3 here.

Finally, Shane Johnson is playing Cooper Saxe.

The list of continuing performers in the spin-off continues with Paton Ashbrook as Jenny Sullivan and Monique Curnen as Detective Blanca Rodriguez. T.I. Was Rumored to Star as Davis MacLean in ‘Power Book II’ Before Method Man

T.I. Takes Aim At Sexual Assault Accusers In New Song: 'I’m Up Against Some Lyin’ A*s B*tches'

How do you think Power Book II: Ghost would have been if T.I. was Attorney Davis MacLean instead of Method Man? The series stars, Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo, were caught in the street by TMZ, who revealed T.I. was once rumored to be their co-star instead of the Wu-Tang Clan legend.

The TMZ reporter who caught up with the two stars asked did a past beef of 50 Cent ever interfere with their show and they recall expecting T.I. to be on set. Instead, Method Man was present.

“I heard – this is a rumor, I can’t confirm,” Paolo opened.”T.I. was supposed to play Method Man’s character. I don’t know if there was beef or something happened, but he never ended up playing him, and Meth was Davis MacLean.”

“This was early in the production before we started filming,” Rainey added.

After being asked was is it a product of beef, Paolo said: “We showed up to set, and Method was there. They didn’t really tell us.”

But both stars agreed that Method Man is a better fit. You can catch the interview below.

Perhaps the beef between T.I. and 50 Cent was this, or this, maybe even this.
