Coi Leray Poses Topless For Fake “Playboy” Cover After Dropping NSFW “Players” Visual

There are plenty of female artists who have our attention right now, but none of them are grabbing it quite like Coi Leray. The Boston-born baddie has crafted a formula for creating viral hits, allowing her to have one of the biggest years of her career so far thanks to her sophomore album, COI. One of the singles from that effort, “Players,” continues to generate big buzz for the fashionista, even nearly one year after its arrival on DSPs.

Over the weekend, Leray finally unleashed the music video for her hit track, which finds her showing off her modelling skills in a cute set of black bunny ears. Throughout the sultry clip, the 26-year-old shows how she would pose for a Playboy cover, wearing ultra-tiny black shorts and suspenders to cover her breasts from the camera. When announcing that the “Players” visual is out now on Instagram, Leray apologized for the lengthy wait, though she couldn’t help but give herself her flowers at the same time.

Coi Leray Finally Shares Her “Players” Music Video

“The s**t is ICONIC 🔥🔥,” Coi declared of the Michael Vincent-directed project. As streams on that continue to increase, the blue haired-beauty returned to IG on Monday (October 9) afternoon to show off some of the photos she would pic to appear on a Playboy cover.

Her outfit of choice was little more than a black and white tennis skirt, though Leray also strategically used a small towel to shield her chest. In the other snaps included in her photo dump, the Trendsetter artist used a Chanel racquet to hide her petite booty while bending over in a pair of black heels.

Coi Leray Indulges Her ‘Playboy’ Fantasies In Her ‘Players’ Video, For Which We Had To Wait Nearly A Whole Year

Coi Leray empowered people everywhere with her undeniably catchy “Players” single last November, leading to equally as fun remixes with Busta Rhymes and Tokischa. Since then, “Players” has been certified platinum and busted several Billboard charts, Leray released Coi, and she engaged in beef, squashed that beef, then sort of re-engaged in it again with Latto — all before dropping a video for “Players.” That finally changed on Friday, October 6.

“‘PLAYERS’ OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW !!!!!!” Leray posted on Instagram alongside several heart and flower emojis. “#sorryforthewait this sh*t is ICONIC [two flame emojis].”

And she’s not wrong. The cinematic video begins with a highlight reel of Leray’s rise to dominance — depicting a risqué photoshoot for a Playboy magazine cover — as she says, “See, me, I love breaking the rules. I do what the f*ck I want, when I want, where I want, and I keep God first, always. So I make sure I move with grace. This is chess, not checkers. While they prayin’ on my downfall, I’ll never let my crown fall. Keep it playa, baby.”

Once the song starts, we see a confident and very stylist Leray step outside only to be met by throngs of paparazzi and fans. She’s leading boardrooms, posing for the cameras, hopping on a private jet, letting loose on a yacht, and leading the charge at the nightclub. In other words, anyone who watches should feel like immediately slamming shut their laptops (or chucking their phones) and actualizing their every fantasy.

Coi Leray’s ‘Official Last Remix’ Of ‘Players’ Features Tokischa

Coi Leray presented SZA with the Woman Of The Year honor at Billboard‘s 2023 Women In Music event at the start of March. Leray is moving like she wants that Women Of The Year title for herself in 2024 — from her inclusion in Hulu’s RapCaviar Presents and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Nonsense” remix to continuing to refresh her November 2022 single “Players.”

“Players” already got a remix featuring Busta Rhymes, but Leray isn’t stopping there. When you keep hitting home runs, why stop swinging? She just dropped another “Players” remix featuring the rising Dominican star Tokischa.

“The official last remix,” Leray wrote on Instagram, complete with three fire emojis. “I NEED ALL MY LATINAS TO GO CRAZY THIS WEEKEND.”

“Diamond chain, that’s my bestie / Trust nobody, these b*tches is messy,” Tokischa raps in English, seamlessly transitioning from her Spanish bars. “Big ass smile, my mouth gotta bling / Thinkin’ ’bout money, not thinkin’ ’bout him / Soy la perra, you already know me / Wanna eat my ass en mi penthouse suite.”

“Players” became Leray’s first-ever Billboard Hot 100 top-10 hit, slotting in at No. 9 on the chart dated April 1. She celebrated the news with an Instagram reel set to Tee Grizzley’s “Winning” captioned, “Top 10 [five heart emojis, three party popper emojis] thank you again for all your support! each and every one of you [prayer hands emoji].”

Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ Is No. 1 For Another Week While Coi Leray Earns Her First Top-10 Song On The Hot 100 Chart

Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” is a hit and it’s not slowing down: It came out about two-and-a-half months ago and it’s still the top song in the country. On the new Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 1, “Flowers” is once again No. 1 for an eighth total week. The Endless Summer Vacation favorite was Cyrus’ first song to debut at No. 1 and is her second chart-topping single after “Wrecking Ball.”

She’s not the only one making noise on this week’s Hot 100, though, as two artists have made their debut in the top-10 on the new chart: Coi Leray’s “Players” has risen to No. 9 while TikTok-boosted country star Bailey Zimmerman’s “Rock And A Hard Place” is No. 10.

Previously, Leray had two songs reach the top 40 of the Hot 100: 2019’s “No More Parties” featuring Lil Durk peaked at No. 26 while last year’s Nicki Minaj collaboration “Blick Blick” topped out at No. 37. “Players” samples the Grandmaster Flash classic “The Message” and has become a hit on TikTok. She also recently released a Busta Rhymes-featuring remix of the song.

Zimmerman, meanwhile, is readying his debut album, Religiously. The Album., which is set for release on May 12 via Warner Music Nashville. “Fall In Love,” his debut single that immediately preceded “Rock And A Hard Place,” managed a Hot 100 peak at No. 29.

Coi Leray Brings Busta Rhymes To Prove They Are ‘Players’ On A Brand New Remix

Coi Leray added none other than Busta Rhymes on her new song, “Players,” for an added verse of the remixed hit.

“It never ends, the way we doing it and how we f*cking them up again / Look how we got them, DJ Saige killing them with the blend,” Busta breaks out in his lyrics.

The remix addition also felt a little like fate, as “Players” previously got a mashup from DJ Saige with Busta Rhymes’ 1997 song, “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See.”

Leray samples Grandmaster Flash’s 1982 song, “The Message,” on “Players.” The song marks her fourth in Billboard‘s Hot 100 songs chart — and could very well enter the Top 10. (It already has in the UK and Australia, according to the publication.)

“I started working with more writers towards the end of last year,” she also shared with Billboard about the creation process of “Players,” which included a collaborative session. “I worked with writers in the past, but I remember I was a little stubborn — like, ‘I don’t need nobody to write for me.’ My pen game is amazing but this year is the first time I learned structure to a song. Like the verse, pre-chorus, bridge, hook.”

Coi Leray & David Guetta Collide On “Players (Remix)”

Coi Leray isn’t letting her foot off the gas when it comes to her hit record, “Players” and this week, she unloaded the remix with David Guetta. As the song continues to bubble on TikTok and the radio, Coi’s continued to deliver a slew of remixes to keep the record’s momentum high. She tapped into the buzzing Jersey Club sound when she linked up with DJ Smallz 732, who breathed new life into the song. Then, she linked up with DJ Saige for another remix of the record.

Over the weekend, Coi Leray joined the roster of artists who’ve had the opportunity to have David Guetta remix the song. Guetta’s remix of the record falls in line with his signature strain of club EDM by flipping the sample of “The Message” by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. While Coi doesn’t necessarily add any new vocals, the remix could very well be the anecdote to propel the single to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Either way, Coi continues to make a strong case for her staying power.

David Guetta Electrifies Coi Leray’s “Players” On The Official Remix

The success of “Players” certainly caught many people off-guard. In the past year, the New Jersey-based rapper made a 180 in her career following the release of her debut album, Trendsetter. Despite the number of high-profile features, the album was considered a flop commercially and critically, though she evidently didn’t prevent her from returning with new heat.

“I’m 25, and sometimes you don’t know everything,” Leray told Billboard of the song’s success. “I look at constructive criticism, even in a negative way. I try to figure out how to learn from it — just taking it and bringing it back even better. You don’t know everything. I learned the power of listening is key.” Evidently, Coi Leray is evolving and taking cues from the criticism she’s faced since she came out. Check out the David Guetta remix above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Coi Leray Gives Stunning Performance Of “Players” On Jimmy Kimmel

The end of 2022 and the start of 2023 have been very kind to Coi Leray. It all started when she released her Nov. 2022 single “Players.” The song samples the classic hit “The Message” released by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five in 1982. The track would eventually land on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and recently peaked at No. 17. This is Leray’s first top 20 hit in her career, indicative of how far she’s come in the past few months.

With the “Players” success came some interesting revelations about the song. Soon after its blow-up, Coi dropped a club mix of the song to continue attracting attention to it. She later confessed that the song only took her one take in the studio to record. This impressive feat eventually caught the eye of the song’s originator. Grandmaster Flash recently gave his props to Coi for the song and its success. “I love his positive energy,” Coi said after the encounter. As one of the biggest moments of her career, Leray decided that “Players” needed to be performed in front of live audiences.

Coi Leray On Kimmel

On Feb. 28, Coi Leray visited the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show on ABC. Donning an all-white fit and accompanied by two backup dancers dressed accordingly, Coi delivered a stellar performance of “Players.” Although there was a back-track present, Coi Leray did most of the singing live. With very animated dance moves and her patented confident demeanor, Leray once again proved why she has attracted so many loyal fans. Her “girls is players too” hook certainly resonated with not only female fans, but listeners of all backgrounds.

“Players” came out in the same year that Coi released her debut album Trendsetter. The LP included hits like “BIG PURR,” “Blick Blick,” “Thief In The Night, “TWINNEM” and “No More Parties.” Although the first week numbers underwhelmed, the success of “Players” proved that Coi never stopped believing in herself and her artistry. With a nice second wind for her career, it will be interesting to see where Coi goes from here, and when we can expect more music from the 25-year-old.

Coi Leray Says She Freestyled “Players” Single In One Take

After a bit of a lull, Coi Leray is back in action. For a moment there, it seemed as if social media channels were flooded with news and updates about Leray. Whether she was celebrating collaborations with Nicki Minaj or verbally sparring with her father, Benzino, the rapper was at the top of her game as her star continued to rise.

Then, as many artists do, Leray fell back as she plotted her next step. We now have her latest single, “Players,” that famously interpolates a Hip Hop classic: “The Message” by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. The viral track has sparked a new era for Leray, especially as DJs and artists remix the single to their liking.

On Instagram, Leray is giving her fans an inside look at her “Players” recording process. As the track climbs up the charts thanks to TikTok, it’s a good time for the rapper to flex her time in the booth.

“This the day we made a movie,” she wrote in the caption of her clip. “I went in and freestyled players in 1 take. Wait till you see how my brain works in these studios 🔥🔥.”
