It’s wild to think that Drake’s Nothing Was The Same is already a decade old. After all, the album is still in regular rotation for many fans and casuals alike, with some of his biggest hits, fan-favorite tracks, and as a strong contender for his best body of work. All these elements add up to a very nostalgic and important album for the 36-year-old, which he knows now more than ever. On Sunday (September 24), the album’s ten-year anniversary, he took to his Instagram page with a commemorative post. It features various pictures from that era, including tour setups, the 6 God onstage, and what looks like a music video screenshot.

“If I had to live my life again I’d make the same mistakes only sooner,” Drake captioned the series of photos. Clearly, making those mistakes paid off. The Toronto superstar remains one of the biggest artists in the world, and there’s an ungodly level of hype for his next studio release. He may have pushed back the release date for For All The Dogs various times, but we know it’s because he wants to make it special.

In fact, it’s because of projects like Nothing Was The Same that Drizzy wants to hold his art to a higher standard. Sure, there’s an argument to be made that through bloated tracklists and genre diversions, he hasn’t lived up to that promise as well as he could. Still, fans dig through the mines and find gold in every release, and one can’t deny that nothing’s lowered the OVO MC’s commercial and artistic profile. With For All The Dogs seemingly bringing things back to “the old Drake,” maybe we’ll get vibes more reminiscent of this 2013 landmark. The R&B jam “Slime You Out” with SZA certainly points to that.

After an initial projection predicted a top 10 debut for the album an updated projection released earlier today has even higher ambitions for the album projecting it for a top 5 debut. It would mark her third straight album to debut in the top 10 and second in a row to reach the top 5.

Doja Cat also released a new music video for the newest single from Scarlet. The track is called “Agora Hills” and it connected with fans immediately. It seems like Doja knew it would because she already had a music video ready to go for the track. The video has already racked up over 4.5 million views on YouTube. Doja Cat Shares Painting She Made For Fans To Instagram

Over the weekend, Doja Cat released her fourth studio album Scarlet amid a wave of controversy. For months she had been dealing with backlash from fans online for her embrace of demonic and satanic imagery. She also picked a fight with some of her diehard fans after taking issue with their identity as “Kittenz.” The combined controversies caused the singer to lose hundreds of thousands of social media followers but it doesn’t seem to have stopped her commercial momentum. The second single from Scarlet “Paint The Town Red” hit number one on the Hot 100 earlier this month and is still parked at the number two spot.

Throughout the weekend Doja teased and promoted her new project through various methods. That began with the release of a music video for the record’s newest single “Agora Hills.” The song translated with many fans right away and it’s clear that Doja knew it would because she had the accompanying video ready to go. She shared a new line of merch with fans that poked fun at the entire Kittenz controversy. Shirts included had not just the “Kittenz” name but also one that said “Recovering Doja Cat Fan.”

Glamorous photo dumps aren’t the only thing Chloe Bailey does to amaze her fans. She’s also a pretty good singer and she reminded everyone of that earlier this month. She dazzled fans with a Tiny Desk Concert, taking her distinct vocals to the iconic small stage. Scarlet has yet to receive an official release date, however, some recent reports suggest that it’ll arrive on September 1. Latto Shares Some Delicious Looking Food Pics From The Studio

She posted some pictures of her together with Davido in the studio but they were cooking up more food than music. She fittingly captioned the posts “Let me cook.” Another element of the photos that got people’s attention is the fact that she isn’t wearing much makeup in them.

Other fans pointed out that in one hilarious pick Latto appears to be rapping into a microphone while holding food in her hand. “Not rapping with the plate.
