Rumored Bradley Beal Trade Offers Revealed

On June 14, Shams Charania revealed that the Washington Wizards were working with franchise cornerstone Bradley Beal to find a trade the veteran would agree to. Beal has played his entire career in Washington after being drafted in 2012. However, despite Beal’s caliber, the Wizards had always let him down in terms of a supporting cast. After a handful of Conference Semifinal appearances in the late-2010s, Washington has just one playoff appearance in the last five years.

A variety of teams were immediately floated as good theoretical fits for Beal. However, Beal’s incredibly weighty contract ($207.7 million over the next four seasons) is a major part of the negotiations. Furthermore, Beal will be going from being the top player on the Wizards to like the second or third player on another team. A figure like $207.7 million is a lot of money for a guy who isn’t your best player. Over the past few days, rumors have linked four teams to Beal. However, the most recent development is that the Wizards are in “serious talks” with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns.

Per The Athletic, the Heat and Suns are offering major packages to try and secure Beal’s services. Miami’s deal reportedly pairs Kyle Lowery and Duncan Robinson with “multiple first-round picks.” Between now and 2030, the Heat currently own all but two of their first-round picks. The Thunder have the right to swap first-round picks with the Heat in 2025, as long as the Heat do not pick within the top-14. If they do, the Thunder retain the right to swap picks in 2026.

Meanwhile, the Suns’ package centers around star center DeAndre Ayton. The deal would additionally include “additional cap filler or future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul and Landry Shamet.” However, The Athletic report makes no mention of the Suns including picks in the deal. These offers present two very different futures for Washington. Either they can slowly rebuild through the draft or attempt a faster retooling around Ayton. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Washington Wizards In “Serious Talks” With Miami Heat And Phoenix Suns About Bradley Beal Trade

Furthermore, Beal will be going from being the top player on the Wizards to like the second or third player on another team. A figure like $207.7 million is a lot of money for a guy who isn’t your best player. Despite this four teams have so far been linked with a move to acquire Beal – the Heat, the Bucks, the Kings, and the Nets. However, it appears that the trade talks are starting to heat up.

Heat And Suns Emerge As Frontrunners For Beal

Per Charania, the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns have emerged as finalists to acquire Beal’s services. The Suns, who were not previously mentioned in trade rumors, make for an intriguing trade partner. The team is looking to restructure after falling well short of their “win-now” objective for 2023. A trade for Beal could see DeAndre Ayton, Chris Paul, or both, heading to Washington. That would set up a Big Three of Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker anchoring the Suns next season.

Meanwhile, the Heat are $67.3 million over the cap. Furthermore, the Heat do not have a lot of weighty contracts they could offload to Washington to balance out Beal’s. A hypothetical trade could force the Heat to give up a lot of good depth talent. This could be somewhat mitigated by draft picks. Despite this, they will still need to find some way to balance the books to accommodate Beal’s massive contract. That said, securing Beal would allow the Heat to field their own Big Three of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Beal. Where do you think Beal will end up? Let us know in the comments. Chris Paul Says His Daughter Was Trolled at School Over His Lack of NBA Titles

Chris Paul says trolls at school have bullied his daughter because he has not won an NBA championship. Appearing on The Pivot Podcast, Paul revealed how his career could sometimes make for tough parenting.

“It’s tough on me, but I think it’s probably even harder for the people around me. Especially my wife,” said Paul. “My wife is the one who has the bear those late nights those ‘I can’t sleep,’ and my kids, like my daughter is the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet in your life. She’s at that age now where at school kids talk crazy to her. So she had a little boy at school that said some reckless stuff to her. He was like, ‘Your Daddy ain’t never going to win no championship.’”

CP3 said he used it as a teaching moment. You can hear it below.

Chris Paul may have a new NBA home when the 2023-24 season kicks off. ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski reports Paul has been informed by Phoenix Suns’ ownership of their desire to move the legendary guard potentially.

Additional options for further negotiations with the Suns include trade opportunities for Paul, as well as center Deandre Ayton, continuing to look to make strides to improve the chances of winning a championship.

If Paul is waived, only $15.8 million of his $30.8 million for the upcoming season is guaranteed. The entire amount would be guaranteed if Paul is kept on the Suns’ roster past the June 28 deadline.

Paul’s desire to remain in Phoenix alongside his close friend Devin Booker and newcomer Kevin Durant is a wrinkle in the negotiations.

During the 2023 playoffs, Paul was sidelined, and the Denver Nuggets ousted the Suns in a 4-2 series.

Phoenix Suns Could Waive Chris Paul

In a shocking turn of events, the Phoenix Suns have met with Chris Paul and informed the veteran point guard that he could be waived before a guaranteed salary clause in his contract triggers on June 28th. Paul, who turned 38 earlier this month, has been in Phoenix since 2020. He was a trade acquisition from the Thunder. However, he has turned into a core piece for Phoenix.

However, the Suns are currently in the midst of a roster dilemma, with a number of weighty contracts set to drag the franchise into cap hell. Unfortunately, this is something of the franchise’s own doing. The team made a number of blockbuster trades as they went all-in on winning in 2023. Next year, Paul is owed $30.8 million. However, he is only owed $15.8 million if he can be removed from the roster before June 28th.

Suns Meeting With Paul

According to sources who spoke with ESPN, the Suns met with Paul on June 7. This meeting was to discuss his future with the team. As part of those discussions, the team openly told Paul he could be waived. However, per ESPN, “The Suns insist that they’re still working through several possibilities on Paul’s future.” As recently as last week, ESPN‘s Tim McMahon reported that Paul’s place on the team was reportedly safe. Furthermore, center DeAndre Ayton was believed to be the main trade piece for the Suns.

As it stands, the Suns are currently $74 million over the NBA salary cap heading into next season. It’s quite possible, given that this may necessitate the trading/waiving of Paul, Ayton, and other key contributors, that the Suns’ championship window has closed for the moment. However. Paul is reportedly eager to stay with the Suns and his waiving is not yet confirmed. Despite this, it does appear that being waived, unless an equitable trade can be found, is the most likely outcome. Last season, Paul put up 13.9 points per game and 8.9 assists (4th highest in the NBA). However, he was largely unavailable during the playoffs due to a recurring late-season injury. Phoenix Suns Finalizing Hiring Of Frank Vogel

The Phoenix Suns are one of the few teams left in the NBA without a head coach. After crashing out of the playoffs in the Western Conference Semifinals, the Suns fired head coach Monty Williams. In the subsequent weeks, the Bucks, Pistons, Rocks, and Sixers all named their new head coaches. That left the Suns and Raptors looking for a new leader.

In late May, ESPN reported that the Suns had narrowed their search down to Nick Nurse, Doc Rivers, Kevin Young, and Jordi Fernández. However, Nurse was then hired by the Sixers. Now, ESPN is reporting that the Suns have found their next head coach.

Suns Land on Vogel

After Nurse left the candidate pool, he was replaced in the final four by Frank Vogel, and that is, according to ESPN, the man the Suns have tapped to lead them next season. Vogel, 49, most recently coached the Los Angeles Lakers, winning an NBA title with the team in 2020. However, he was fired following the 2021-22 season after the Lakers missed the playoffs following a 33-49 regular season. Vogel did not coach for any teams during the 2022-23 season. Meanwhile, the Lakers reached the Western Conference Finals.

Vogel first joined the NBA as a coach in 2001 as an assistant for the Celtics. A decade later, in 2011, he got his first head coaching gig with the Pacers. Vogel had been with Indiana since 2007. In 2016, Vogel moved to the Magic before heading to the Lakers in 2018. A defensively-minded coach, Vogel has coached the league’s best defense three times in his career. However, expectations will be high for him in Phoenix. With minimal draft capital and a top-heavy core, the Suns are firmly in a win-now mentality. What do you think about Frank Vogel to the Suns? Let us know in the comments. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

James Harden Reportedly Interested In This Team

James Harden is certainly one of the biggest names in the entire NBA. Although he may not be the player he used to be, he is still an effective playmaker. Overall, he did a solid job with the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he has always struggled in the playoffs, and we saw that against the Celtics. Now, he is a free agent and most pundits out there believe he wants to leave Philadelphia. Simply put, playing for Doc Rivers is just not the move. Consequently, a lot of speculation is happening right now.

For the vast majority of the season, the consensus was that Harden would go to the Houston Rockets. Of course, he has a history with that team. Moreover, they have a young core and there would be few expectations to win. Additionally, the team now has Ime Udoka who is seen as a fantastic head coach. It is certainly an interesting place for him to go. However, now, a new team is joining the rumor mill. In fact, this is a team that will be desperate to add some depth to the roster.

James Harden: The Decision

According to reporter Brian Geltzeiler, the Phoenix Suns are rumored to be on James Harden’s radar. Of course, the team has the talents of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Harden’s former teammate Chris Paul is in Phoenix as well, however, it has been reported that the Suns are looking to get rid of him. That said, perhaps James Harden would fit in well on the team. Meanwhile, there are also rumors that the Suns could be pursuing Kyrie Irving. Although this would end up being a mistake, most likely.

Either way, this should end up being a compelling free agency. If the Houston Rockets get the first pick and secure Victor Wembanyama, then perhaps James Harden will just go to Houston. At that point, the team will be a very attractive option. Let us know where you want to see Harden go, in the comments section below. Cam’ron Links Up With Suns Owner Mat Ishbia

Cam’ron has been everywhere as it pertains to the sports world as of late. Overall, this is largely due to his relatively new shoe with Ma$e called It Is What It Is. So far, this show has been getting some incredible ratings on YouTube. Although he and Ma$e might not have all the correct stats in the world, they certainly have some hilarious takes. Watching their show is like talking about sports with your best friends. Consequently, fans find themselves relating to a lot of the takes. It’s been fun to watch the show grow from week to week, and Cam is ready to expand.

Moreover, Cam’ron and Ma$e have attended some basketball games as of late. For instance, they were at Game 4 of the Suns and Nuggets game last week. In the end, the Suns won that game. However, they went on to lose the next two games of the series. This subsequently eliminated them from the playoffs. Furthermore, the team immediately fired head coach Monty Williams, who will likely be going to a team like Toronto or maybe even Milwaukee. That said, Cam is now commenting on the firing.

Cam’ron Delivers #BossTalk

He did this with a post on Instagram of himself standing next to new Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia. “When you the owner, you can’t get fired,” Cam’ron explained. “Sorry Monte but #ItIsWhatItIs #BossTalk.” Needless to say, Cam isn’t feeling too remorseful about what happened to the Suns coach. Quite frankly, it isn’t Williams’ fault this team wasn’t good. They traded all of their depth to get Kevin Durant, and it didn’t pay off in the end. This has happened to plenty of good teams, and Williams will certainly bounce back.

As for Cam’ron, it is going to be fun to see if he goes to any other games throughout the NBA Playoffs. The Western Conference Finals start tonight as the Lakers are set to take on the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are the favorites in this series, however, the Lakers could very well end up taking this one. Let us know who you think is taking Game 1, in the comments section below. Phoenix Suns Fire Monty Williams

The Phoenix Suns have fired head coach Monty Williams after four seasons. The move comes after the Suns were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Denver Nuggets. After reaching the NBA Finals in 2021, the Suns have been eliminated in the second round of the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. 2023 was meant to be the Suns’ year. They went all-in to acquire Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade with the Nets. However, he and Devin Booker were unable to carry the team past the Nuggets.

The move was expected by many NBA experts and is potentially the first of many in the Suns’ offseason. Furthermore, previous reporting indicated that the team could be set to “aggressively” shop veteran Chris Paul and young star DeAndre Ayton. However, big moves during the season could limit what the Suns are able to do.

Suns Ownership Putting Stamp On Tenure

Monty Williams’ job was never truly safe. A holdover from the tenure of the previous owner, there was every chance that new owner Mat Ishiba could choose to replace Williams. Additionally, this appears to be the case, with sources suggesting that Ishiba, who never warmed to Williams, quickly made the decision after the Suns’ Game 6 loss. Furthermore, Ishiba also reportedly had GM James Jones, an ally and advocate of Williams, deliver the news.

The Suns become of the more intriguing teams in the head coach market. They join the Milwaukee Bucks as a team with title contention status who made the decision to move on from their head coach. However, a difficult challenge lies ahead for whoever they hire. The Suns traded away for future first-round picks to acquire Kevin Durant. Furthermore, bloated contracts and new regulations imposed by the CBA will further stymie the team’s efforts to retool or rebuild. With Williams only being notified on Saturday, no names have been linked with the job. However, the Suns will have an elite pool to choose from.

Cam’ron & Ma$e Sit Courtside For Nuggets-Suns: Watch

Cam’ron and Ma$e have been having themselves a great time on their new show, It Is What It Is. Although they had a falling out a while back, they are now friends again. Overall, this has been great news for the hip-hop world. Fans have been excited about a potential new album from these two. However, it seems like they are mainly focused on taking over the sports media world. They have great chemistry on their show, and so far, it has all been a massive success. There is no doubt that they can keep this going for a long time.

That said when you work in the sports media game, you have to make appearances at the games. Otherwise, some may throw your knowledge into question. Having said that Cam’ron and Ma$e decided to pop out at the game between the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets. Last night, the game was in Phoenix, and Game 4 was pivotal for many reasons. If the Suns lost, they would be down 3-1 in the series. However, with a win, they could even it up heading back to Denver.

Cam’ron & Ma$e Take In The Big Game

In the end, Cam’ron and Ma$e got to witness and pretty phenomenal match. Overall, it was the Phoenix Suns who came out on top, despite everything Nikola Jokic tried. Now, the series is tied at two games a piece, and it is anyone’s series. At this point, no one really knows who is going to come through and win. Either way, a trip to the Western Conference Finals is at stake. The winner will either play the Los Angeles Lakers or the Golden State Warriors.

Speaking of that series, perhaps Cam and Ma$e will want to make the trip to L.A. tonight for Game 4. If there is any game they would want to take in, it would be that one. The Lakers have an opportunity to go up 3-1 in the series, which would be a massive achievement. Let us know who you think is taking the NBA Championship this year, in the comments below.
