Devin Booker has had some fairly successful seasons in Phoenix over the last few years. Moreover, with Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal on his team, the Suns are expected to contend for a title. Overall, Booker has a bit of a bad reputation around the league. For some reason, a lot of fans on NBA Twitter just don’t like him. Although he is a good player, there is this narrative that he is simply too overrated to be taken so seriously.

Now, however, there are some people on NBA Twitter who have changed their tone on Booker. This is all because of the stance he has taken on Jonah Hill. Over the weekend, Hill was accused of emotional abuse and manipulation by his ex-girlfriend. In some messages, Hill essentially told a surfer that she couldn’t surf anymore if she wanted to be with him. This sparked a conversation about boundaries that the incel community couldn’t help keep their hands off of. As it turns out, Booker decided to take Hill’s side on this, as he posted the actor on his Instagram story.

While some of the weirdos on NBA Twitter were quick to praise Booker for a “rare W,” others were quick to eat him alive. After all, it was a bit weird for Booker to praise Hill considering the discourse. Just staying quiet would have played things way safer. Regardless, Booker made his bed, and some made sure that he laid in it. “Why is devin booker dying on this jonah hill,” one user joked. “Surprisingly this makes book less hated on NBA Twitter because this app full of weirdos lol but this such an L man smh I’m disappointed,” said another.

During the conversation with George, Green praised what Paul can bring to the team. Referring to Paul as a great teacher of young talent. The Warriors forward even went on to say that Paul saved the career of Suns big man Deandre Ayton. Green claimed that Ayton was a bust before Paul arrived in the desert. However, now Ayton is now playing some of the best basketball of his career. Although it was meant to be a compliment, it still feels like a dig from Green.

The former number-one overall pick has had his critics since joining the league. At one time, many believed Ayton and Devin Booker could be the most deadly duo in the league. While he still hasn’t lived up to being a first-pick, Ayton continues to make a difference for this team. This upcoming season will be the best chance for the Suns and Ayton to win an NBA title. With money being a non-issue for Dallas, they could lock up Irving for as much as five years and $272.9 million.

But you should never trust anything in the NBA offseason to remain simple. Reports are now emerging that Irving will take a meeting with the Phoenix Suns once free agency officially opens on June 30. Not only does it add a shocking twist to one of the few “sure things” of the offseason, but it also raises a number of questions as to just what the Suns are doing.

Per Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Kyrie Irving will meet with the Suns in the first days of free agency. Furthermore, the Houston Rockets are also expected to take a meeting with Irving. It’s unclear where all the interest in Irving has suddenly come from, but it appears to be very much real. The Suns have already acquired Bradley Beal this offseason and are evidently looking to build the ultimate championship-hunting superteam. However, the biggest obstacle in signing Irving will be the salary cap. The Suns, with their incredibly bloated roster, are already pushed up against the league’s hard cap.

Despite this meeting, the Mavs are still believed to be the favorite for Irving’s services. As mentioned, they have the salary space to accommodate a max offer for Irving. Chris Paul, recently traded from the Phoenix Suns, said the deal surprised him. In addition, he is placing blame on both new Suns owner Mat Ishbia and Detroit Pistons legend and Ishbia’s advisor, Isiah Thomas. Paul, Landry Shamet, and picks were sent to the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal.

Paul is currently on a book tour and spoke with The New York Times about the trade.

“It’s just — it’s tough,” Paul said. “Seriously, it is part of the business, and what you realize is that no one owes you anything. No matter how you are with them or what you do, you realize that in this business, nobody owes you anything, as it should be.

“But when it comes through and my son texts me, I realize that, you know, Mat and Isiah, I guess, just wanted to go in a different direction.”

Paul is not expected to suit up for the Wizards, either being dealt in another deal or possibly being bought out. CP3 claims he has yet to think about the possibility.

“I really haven’t had enough time to process it yet,” Paul said. “Like seriously, because these things that happen affect more than just me.”

The NBA will always have a big three. The new one is in Phoenix, bringing Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards to team with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Beal has a career average of 22.1 points and 4.3 assists. The Suns now have $163 million in salary committed to their big three and center Deandre Ayton.

While there are a lot of people who do not like him, you cannot discount all that he has built. Moreover, he tries his best to give his honest opinion, even if the viewer doesn’t believe him. At this point, he is carrying ESPN on his back, and it has been a pleasure to watch. Now, Smith must navigate the NBA offseason, which could be packed with moves.

For instance, the Washington Wizards and Phoenix Suns engaged in a trade involving Bradley Beal and Chris Paul. Subsequently, Beal will get to play with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Additionally, Paul will likely be waived by the Wizards and become a free agent. Of course, much of the discourse is currently centered around the Suns and their chances of winning a title next year. In Stephen A.’s mind, however, people need to pump the brakes immediately.

This past season, the biggest issue with the Phoenix Suns was their complete and utter lack of depth. It was very clear during the series against the Denver Nuggets, and it remains a problem. “Is there any defense whatsoever?” Stephen A. asked. “And the depth, that definitely is a question mark as well.” Overall, these are some very poignant critiques of the team. There is absolutely no indication that this team will be any good, especially with these glaring holes throughout the lineup.

Sure, the Suns can be a great regular-season team, but the postseason will be a question mark. Perhaps they will get some ring chasers on a veteran minimum, but that still remains to be seen. Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards weren’t exactly a match that was working out. Although Beal was able to secure the bag from the Wizards, the team was never able to surround him with solid assets. Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma are not going to help you contend for a championship. Furthermore, they couldn’t even get this team to contend for a playoff spot. Overall, it became clear that Beal was not going to be with the team for long. After all, when you’re scoring over 25 points per game, it’s difficult to want to stay with a team that is going nowhere.

Throughout the past couple of days, there had been rumblings that Bradley Beal would be traded to either the Phoenix Suns or the Miami Heat. In the end, however, it was the Suns who came out on top. They ended up trading Chris Paul and some other minor pieces to get him, which for a guy like Beal, is a pretty small price. In fact, the Wizards couldn’t even get a first-round pick, which is a huge indictment of the Washington front office.

On June 14, Shams Charania revealed that the Washington Wizards were working with franchise cornerstone Bradley Beal to find a trade the veteran would agree to. Beal has played his entire career in Washington after being drafted in 2012. However, the Wizards have only made the playoffs once in the last five seasons. Treading water at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, they are in desperate need of a full rebuild. With Beal still in his prime, it seemed like the perfect time to maximize his value.

With Beal holding a valuable no-trade clause in his current $207 million contract, the Wizards would have to be careful about what trade offers they pursued. The Heat, Bucks, Kings, and Nets were all reported as possible trade partners. Later, it was reported that the Heat and Suns were the finalists for Beal‘s services. Per The Athletic, the Heat and Suns are offering major packages to try and secure Beal’s services. Miami’s deal reportedly pairs Kyle Lowery and Duncan Robinson with “multiple first-round picks.” Between now and 2030, the Heat currently own all but two of their first-round picks. The Thunder have the right to swap first-round picks with the Heat in 2025, as long as the Heat do not pick within the top-14. If they do, the Thunder retain the right to swap picks in 2026.

Meanwhile, the Suns’ package centers around star center DeAndre Ayton. The deal would additionally include “additional cap filler or future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul and Landry Shamet.” However, The Athletic report makes no mention of the Suns including picks in the deal. These offers present two very different futures for Washington. Either they can slowly rebuild through the draft or attempt a faster retooling around Ayton.
