Shy Glizzy Announces New Album & Reflects On Beyoncé Shoutout

Shy Glizzy announced his upcoming album Flowers recently and spoke about Beyoncé shouting him out on tour. While readers are likely focused on Beyoncé’s recent $24 million Dubai show, don’t forget that she’s been killing stages for years. Furthermore, the pop star and media mogul performed Glizzy’s song “Awesome” during her tour.

Moreover, the D.C. native stopped by DJ Akademiks’s podcast Off The Record to share these thoughts. Still, it’s not like he’s been completely silent prior to this announcement. In fact, his last music release was just a month ago with the 21 Savage-assisted “Slime-U-Out.” During his conversation with Ak, the media host asked him about future projects.

“You have an album coming up soon, right?” the podcaster asked He then asked “Title?”, to which Shy responded with “Flowers.”

Flowers, why Flowers?” Ak said.

“I’ve been in this s**t for a minute now, man,” the 30-year-old stated. “I feel like the growth is there, this s**t’s finally gotten to a point where the knives are sharpening, and all the respect is due. That’s why I named this s**t Flowers, I feel like I need mines, I feel like I give a lot of people theirs. That just goes back to the conversation about the post that I put up and all of that… S**t, I give n***as they flowers. Any n***a that’s before me, any n***a that, you know, do this s**t, I don’t got no problem. You don’t gotta come from the streets, none of that s**t. I’ll just salute you, if you think I’m a cool n***a anyway, if you think that I make good music.”

“What was you first reaction when you seen Beyoncé dancing your song? Did she, like, call you, like, how does that happen?” Akademiks asked.

“Nah, she didn’t even call me, she just did that s**t. I don’t even know how it happened. That s**t just was going viral, and I’m like ‘What the f**k?’ ‘Cause I don’t watch s**t like that. I seen that s**t on the Internet, I was like ‘Damn, that’s crazy.’ Then they brung me out on her tour when she came to the city. So that was even bigger. N***a seen Jay, all of them, Beyoncé. That s**t was big, man, that was definitely a big moment. That was a highlight of my career, one of them.”

Beyoncé Stops Blue Ivy From Dancing In Cute Dubai Performance Clips

Blue Ivy has the Internet’s heart after clips of Beyoncé seemingly stopping her from dancing at her Dubai show went viral. While the star’s $24 million show was one night only, the sheer spectacle and grandiosity of the event will last for a long time. Despite the show’s no-phone policy, some clips from the performance featuring Queen Bey’s daughter made the social media rounds.

Furthermore, the clip’s gotten some mixed reactions online, though it’s almost completely positive. After all, it’s just a cute moment between mother and daughter. As Beyoncé performed her track “BROWN SKIN GIRL,” Blue Ivy hit some potentially improvised choreography.

Moreover, people in the comments and Twitter replies had a couple of differing, yet all hilarious takes. “Of the $24 million Dubai paid for Beyoncé to perform, $23 million went to her manager Blue Ivy,” one tweeter joked. Another wrote, “They didn’t write the check for a Blue Ivy performance. Bey stopped that QUICK.” Still, one of the funniest sentiments online was that Blue is the real star, which is fair enough. “Blue Ivy’s charity never ends. How kind of her to grace a fan with her vocal talents,” a fan commented.

Also, the stylist for the extravagant performance recently wrote some thoughts on the surreal experience. KJ Moody is based in Parkwood, California, hails from Texas, and has styled the R&B icon a few times now.

“Wow! This was my first Live performance!! Styled by Me!” Moody wrote. “I have watched this woman tear down the house since I was 5 years old. Going to destiny’s child concerts, screaming and dreaming of one day being apart of a moment like this. We DID IT TEAM! #StyledByKj #Beyonce #Dubai.”

However, it’s crazy to think that so much could’ve gone wrong with this performance after attendees shared new details. Apparently, Beyoncé put this whole spectacle together right after recovering from foot surgery.

Still, what did you think of Blue Ivy’s wholesome but interrupted dancing performance at Beyoncé’s Dubai show? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest extravagance from your favorite artists’ live performances.

Lizzo Reveals She’s Seen Beyoncé Perform 11 Times

Lizzo says that she’s seen Beyoncé perform live 11 times over the years. The Special singer revealed the surprising places she’s watched Beyoncé in a pair of tweets posted over the weekend.

“I have seen Beyoncé perform live 10 times in my lifetime,” she said. “and today the 11th time was on a IG live across a body of water of a hotel and I’m not ashamed.”

From there, Lizzo listed out the 10 previous times she watched Beyoncé perform. Among them were numerous tours, but also a parking lot in Houston.

Lizzo previously discussed the first time she saw Beyoncé live during an interview with Elle UK.

“Growing up in Houston, the impact that Destiny’s Child had on me making a decision to become an artist was incredible, mostly because I felt like we were so close to it,” she said. “Everyone had their, ‘I saw Beyoncé when…’ or, ‘I saw Destiny’s Child at this party…’ stories. And that made it seem more accessible. Like, ‘Oh, maybe I can do this too, if I worked hard enough and had the right people around me.‘ They had an album-signing event at a Wal-Mart and I skipped school to go see them. I listened to them sing their gospel medley.”

Lizzo will have another opportunity to see Beyoncé grace the stage when she hits the road on the Renaissance world tour later this year. Ahead of the upcoming shows, Beyoncé held a performance in Dubai, on Saturday. It was her first live performance in four years.

Flesh-N-Bone Warns Nelly Of Drug Use After Gangsta Boo’s Death

After the tragic passing of Gangsta Boo, fans and loved ones are reeling at its shock and as-of-yet unclear circumstances. While millions honored and will continue to honor her legacy and memory, other close ones are reflecting on the wider issues that might be at play. Moreover, Flesh-N-Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony warned Nelly of the dangers of drug use after his viral Juicy Fest performance.

Furthermore, the “Hot In Here” rapper caused concern after he was twisting his head and rolling his eyes back at his show. Even though Flesh’s concern comes soon after Boo’s passing, the official cause of death is still unknown. However, many found rumors that it was due to a drug overdose, which makes the Cleveland MC’s words all the more chilling.

Before going into his thoughts, the Bone Thugs member said he hasn’t drank alcohol in two months and quit weed and all other substances six months ago.

“That’s one of the reasons why I quit doing substances, because they all gateway drugs,” he expressed to TMZ. “All you dopers out there, y’all better be careful, because it’s dangerous; you don’t know what’s in it. But he was out there wigged out, you could tell he was stoned.

“Nelly, you to good to be on that type of shit, man,” he continued. “It kinda threw you off, I never seen you like that, man. You might wanna take the dose down just a little bit. Just a word of advice, leave that s-h-*-t- alone. It ain’t even worth it.”

Moreover, once the conversation hit that topic, Flesh-N-Bone related it to the Three 6 Mafia MC’s passing.

“I think it affects not only the Verzuz situation, but the whole culture of Hip Hop ultimately in a very impactful way because, from my understanding, it was an overdose,” he stated. “And that’s one of those things that segways into what we was talking about earlier because I know so many people by the dozens, family and friends by the dozens and I have to say fentanyl or whatever the case may be that’s coming in, it’s mixin’ in there, you don’t know what you’re doing.

Nothing’s organic or pure anymore, they can slip it in your drink,” he continued. “And it’s in the pills, it’s in the weed, it’s in the cigars, it’s in the cigarettes. Just a little dose of it, it can hurt you, it’ll do more damage to you than just the feeling of getting high. I know brothers that lost all their children in their 20s. My brother DJ-Uneek lost both of his sons to that. My brother Ken Dog lost his son to that. The list goes on and on and on. Gangsta Boo OD’d the same thing. Something’s got to give, that’s one of the reasons why I’m sober today.”

Still, Gangsta Boo’s official cause of death is unknown as of writing this article. However, what do you think about Flesh-N-Bone’s advice to Nelly concerning drug use? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, check back in with HNHH for more reflections from hip-hop veterans.

Beyoncé Was Recovering From Foot Surgery Before Private Dubai Show: Report

We’re all jealous of attendees of the Queen’s private show at Dubai on Saturday (January 21). However, some more news and reports from the spectacle indicate that there were more risks to this show than one might expect. Moreover, one of the patrons reported that Beyoncé was recovering from foot surgery before her performance.

Of course, anyone being paid $24 million for a private concert would rush to it with two broken arms if they could. Still, if reports are accurate, this is yet another insane display of commitment and skill from the superstar artist. Attendees at Beyoncé’s concert at The Royal Atlantis in Dubai likely had a magical experience.

Despite the show’s strict no-phone policy, footage still leaked online. Moreover, many took to social media to share their takes and thoughts on the invite-only concert. It included celebrities, other artists, journalists, and critics like one cultural critic and author Gerrick Kennedy.

“BEYLANTIS was quite the unexpected show,” he tweeted. “That voice is just gets better and better. Mama was doing her good singing. Mind-blowing to see her and Blue Ivy perform together. Even more in awe to hear she did this after foot surgery. It’s unclear what injury led Bey to the operating table, but it’s good to know she’s doing better.”

However, the “BREAK MY SOUL” singer had other things to promote and celebrate this week. Her new campaign for Ivy Park x Adidas, Park Trail, debuted with help from the likes of Ice Spice and Offset. Moreover, she just released another Adidas collab in the form of her Top Ten 2000 sneaker colorways.

Meanwhile, other large performances caused comparisons to Beyoncé’s great live shows. Stephen A. Smith recently caught some flack for saying that Rihanna “ain’t Beyoncé,” referencing the “Diamonds” singer’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. Even when she’s not on stage, the RENAISSANCE mogul can’t help but dominate conversations around concert spectacles.

Still, what do you think of Beyoncé recovering from foot surgery right before her private Dubai concert? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, check back in with HNHH for more mind-blowing moments from your favorite performers.

Nelly Gives Weird Performance At Juicy Fest

While artists love to give it their all on stage, sometimes it might be too much for fans. Nelly recently turned heads at Juicy Fest in Melbourne, Australia for his odd performance. Moreover, he performed with other notable artists from the 2000s such as Ja Rule, Xzibit, Mya, and many more. Following last year’s clips of him performing to younger girls, this isn’t the only rodeo we’ve had with his shows.

In recently surfaced clips, you can see the St. Louis artists performing his song, “Over and Over” featuring Tim McGraw. During his show, he was smiling and shouting his lyrics quite expressively. Still, it all seems in line with typical stage antics and excitement. After all, when you’ve worked as long as Nelly, you’ve got to find different ways to perform the same song over and over again. However, people really expressed their worries when his eyes rolled into the back of his head at a few points.

As such, many online were quick to clown the show and Nelly’s erratic stage presence. “When that edible starts TO FIGHT BACK,” one user wrote under a clip of his singing. “Like look at this n***a lmao,” another wrote. “He is WASHED, DREDGED, BATTERED AND DEEP FRIED lmaoo.”

Moreover, the last we heard of Nelly was from longtime friend Ashanti, who said she’d work with her ex again last year. She actually teased it multiple times, but most recently discussed so with Selena Hill.

“I don’t know if we’re gonna go to the studio or anything together,” she stated. “But what I will say is, again, we’re both very business savvy. If an opportunity presents itself to make a record and get to the bag, we’re probably gonna be all in.”

Still, with this recent performance clip in mind, fans might be expecting something different if Nelly drops new music. As one of the 2000s’ brightest and most impactful stars, a comeback wouldn’t be surprising. However, let’s see if this is part of his performance gimmick or if he addresses the viral clip.

What do you think of Nelly’s bizarre performance at Juicy Fest this year? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for more weird, curious, or straight up bizarre hip-hop happenings.

Justin Bieber Forgot Lyrics To “Stay” During Performance, Plays It Off

Even with artists performing songs dozens of times, we can’t blame them for slipping up here and there. Justin Bieber forgot the words to his The Kid LAROI collab, “Stay,” during an impromptu performance on Saturday (January 14). Moreover, they celebrated the opening of Michael D. Ratner’s OBB Studios in Los Angeles.

While that track came out in July of 2021, both artists are planning big for the future. LAROI announced his debut album The First Time and is dropping its first single this week. Meanwhile, sources reported that Bieber is closing a deal to sell his catalog for $200 million. However, he’s been mostly away from big stages ever since postponing his Justice World Tour last September.

Maybe it’s that lack of practice that prompted the Canadian superstar to forget the words. Furthermore, both artists performed a stripped-back version of their still-enduring hit during the celebrations. While some might be frustrated by their favorite artists forgetting lyrics, Bieber played it off charmingly.

“It’s been difficult for me to trust / And I’m afraid that I’ma f**k it up,” Bieber sang. “Ain’t no way that I can leave you stranded / ‘Cause I don’t remember the words and that’s crazy.” When the crowd realized what was happening, they didn’t react with disappointment. Instead, many cheered and applauded after seeing an honest mistake. After all, millions have seen a song performed live, but how many have seen it messed up like that?

Regardless, after the commotion, the “Sorry” singer continued his performance and closed out strong. “You know that I know that I can’t live without you,” he sang. “So, baby, stay.”

Meanwhile, “Stay” appeared in the news earlier in the month for continuing to break records. Moreover, it cemented its staying power after becoming nine-times platinum per the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Given its popularity, it’s no surprise it landed third on Spotify’s most streamed songs of 2022 and sixth across all streaming platforms. Not bad for a year-and-a-half old song. The Kid LAROI continues to build his success.

For those unfamiliar with OBB and Ratner, he directed Bieber’s recent YouTube documentaries: Seasons, Next Chapter, and Our World. Also, OBB co-produced the films, the third of which is nominated for Best Music Film at the 2023 Grammys. Moreover, they are also behind Hailey Bieber’s YouTube series, Who’s In My Bathroom?

It’s now been nearly seven months since Lil Tjay was shot while in New Jersey in June of last year. Throughout his recovery, he is certainly proving to be resilient.

The “Run It Up” rapper recently returned to the state of New Jersey for a performance.

On Friday (December 30), the 21-year-old took to his Instagram account to share some photos of himself on stage. In the last photo, he’s performing while shirtless. There are noticeably several gunshot wounds on the front of his body. “BACK IN JERSEY,” he writes in the post’s caption, along with a couple of hand emojis making a heart shape.

His first music release following the incident came in the form of “Beat the Odds.” The single finds the Bronx native addressing the difficulties of recovering from his injuries. Furthermore, the video shows him writing and recording the song while recovering in a hospital bed.

In November, the Bronx native dropped another single, “Give What You Want.” The track is a soulful performance and continues his streak as one of the most diverse artists in the game right now.

The alleged suspect was arrested for attempted murder and armed robbery the same day of the shooting. Mohamed Konate is reportedly responsible for shooting Tjay and two others while sitting in a car outside of a Chipotle restaurant.

While it’s difficult to see his wounds, it’s certainly good to see that the 21-year-old has recovered enough to be on stage again.
