Patrick Clark, Takeoff’s Alleged Killer, Indicted for Murder

Patrick Clark, Takeoff's Alleged Killer, Indicted for Murder

Patrick Xavier Clark, Takeoff’s alleged killer, has been formally charged with the murder of the Migos rapper.

According to KHOU, Clark was indicted by a Texas grand jury on murder charges, as confirmed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Takeoff was the victim of a shooting that sparked after a fight outside a bowling alley party in Houston. Clark was first arrested in December for the crime but was released in early January after posting a $1 million bond.

Clark recently asked for a private investigator to prepare for his defense, but asking the judge for $5,000, saying he can’t cover the costs alone.

Clark was capture on video pulling a gun and shooting muitple rounds while also holding a wine bottle. Clark was then seen running to the House of Blues. He doubled back to the bowling alley before leaving the area.

When he was originally arrested, Patrick Clark had a gun with him but it was different from the one used in Takeoff’s shooting.

Takeoff Murder Suspect Indicted

Reports indicate that a grand jury formally indicted suspect Patrick Xavier Clark for the murder of Takeoff in Houston. Moreover, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that authorities officially charged Clark on Thursday morning (May 25). The Migos rapper, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball, died on November 1 in a shooting outside of a private bowling alley party that left two other individuals injured. Previously, much speculation surged in the media concerning Clark’s whereabouts, status under officials who arrested him, and other factors in the case. Now, it seems like a formal trial will follow suit and finally give the MC’s loved ones at least some sort of closure and peace.

Furthermore, police confirmed their arrest of Clark back in December of 2022. Since then, not much came out concerning his status, especially after authorities released him on a $1 million bond. Before that, officials set bond at $2 million, and his release became odder when news broke that neither his family nor Clark himself put up the money for his freedom. “A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf,” his attorney Letitia D. Quinones told KTVU News. “Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond. He also has an obligation to comply with all the terms the court has laid out.”

Murder Suspect In Takeoff’s Case Formally Charged

Meanwhile, reports also emerged that Clark sought to claim self-defense in the case. “We feel comfortable that when the time is right that Mr. Clark will have a valid and meritorious claim for self-defense,” one of his lawyers reportedly stated according to the Associated Press. In addition, Clark vowed to move in with his parents in court, amid efforts to reduce his bail and fight back against beliefs that he was a flight risk. After all, he reportedly tried to flee to Mexico and get an emergency passport before his arrest for Takeoff’s murder.

While this is promising news for justice, the Migo’s legacy lives on in much more important ways through his loved ones, fans, collaborators, and family alike. Offset’s new album will feature his last Takeoff collaboration, whereas Quave dedicated his next project Rocket Power to him as well. The rap world waits for Clark’s fate, but they will never hesitate to keep Take’s legacy alive. For more updates and the latest news on this case, stay up to date on HNHH.

Accused Takeoff Killer Patrick Clark Released On $1 Million Bond

After being taken into custody last December, Patrick Clark, the accused shooter of Migos rapper Takeoff, has been released from Houston’s Harris County Jail.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Clark posted a $1 million bond on Wednesday. Though he can return home, he is required to wear a GPS tracker while on house arrest. He will also undergo drug testing and cannot own a firearm or use drugs and alcohol.

His next court date is scheduled for March 9, according to the outlet, with Clark facing a murder charge in the case. During the November shooting, he allegedly fired his gun following an argument at a Houston bowling alley.

An investigation into the shooting reportedly found that Clark’s rounds were the only ones to hit Takeoff, though others were also shooting at the time.

Born Kirsnick Khari Ball, Takeoff was only 28 years old when he tragically lost his life on November 1, 2022. His family and friends came together to honor the Culture rapper’s memory at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

As HotNewHipHop previously reported, Clark’s lawyer recently revealed that their client could claim self-defense in the case. Clark’s lawyer implied that he only started shooting after someone else began shooting at him.

After originally having a $2 million bond, the accused shooter was able to have the amount reduced to $1 million despite concerns that he could be a flight risk. Prior to his arrest last month, he allegedly tried to flee the country.

Takeoff’s Alleged Murderer Vows To Move In With Parents, Requests Lower Bail

The weeks that have passed since Takeoff’s death haven’t made the loss any easier to bear. Thankfully December began on a high note as police finally arrested someone in connection with the case.

33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark is the alleged gunman behind the youngest Migo’s death. As he awaits trial, he’s been given a hefty $2 million bail fee. His lawyer, Carl Moore, simply doesn’t think his client can pay that much.

According to TMZ, the accused murderer filed a motion on Monday (December 12) in Texas. The documents reveal that he’s seeking to have his bond significantly taken down to just $100K.

Clark says he’ll be able to pull these funds together with the help of a professional bondsman. Additionally, he’s promising to live with his parents upon release, where he was apparently previously residing.

Moore has assured the court that his client will wear a GPS monitor at all times. He’ll also be responsible for following a curfew from a judge – if his motion earns approval, that is. To ensure he doesn’t attempt to flee the country (again), Clark is willing to surrender his passport.

Another clause in the potential deal states that he’ll follow any “no contact” order that comes his way with respect to different people.

It remains unclear what the odds of Clark making bail currently are. Before being taken into custody, reports say that he was attempting to get an emergency passport. At the same time, Takeoff’s murder investigation was unfolding and his family was in mourning.

Just last week, a judge gave the DJ $5,000. The money will go toward a private investigator. At this time, Patrick seems eager to prove that he was framed. Many of those closest to him were in shock when news of the charges came out, reports say.

Takeoff Murder Suspect Receives $5K From Judge For P.I.: Report

The DJ accused of killing Takeoff is determined to prove his innocence and Patrick Xavier Clark now has the chance to hire a private investigator. Clark and his attorney have denied the allegations against him as the Houston musician faces murder charges. Prosecutors claim Clark is the person who fired the shots that took the life of Takeoff. The rapper was attending a private event on November 1 with approximately 30 people when a verbal argument turned deadly. Police say Takeoff was an innocent bystander who wasn’t involved in the disagreement.

Meanwhile, following Clark’s arrest, he asked a judge to provide finances so he could hire a private investigator to work his case. NBC News reports the motion was granted and he will receive $5,000 to fund his efforts.

The outlet stated the P.I. agreed to take on the case, albeit at a rate under what they normally charge. The private investigator will also receive devices including a printer and laptop, provided by the sheriff’s office.

In a recent report by The Daily Beast, those who know Clark couldn’t believe that he is facing murder charges. The publication stated that Clark’s friends, who wanted to remain anonymous, believe the DJ is being “framed” for the crime. Clark’s lawyer also shared her client feels “nervous” and “concerned” because he insists he is innocent.

Another man, Cameron Joshua, was also arrested. However, it’s reported that he was taken into custody for having a firearm in his possession, not for the murder of the Migos rapper.

The investigation into this case was expected to be a quick one due to the number of people at the scene at the time of the shooting. Yet, police publicly stated they were struggling with moving forward because several witnesses were unwilling to cooperate with the investigation.

Friends Of Takeoff’s Alleged Killer Patrick Clark Think He’s Being “Framed”

A popular Houston DJ has been arrested in connection with Takeoff’s death, and now friends of Patrick Xavier Clark are speaking out. The Migos star was killed in the early morning hours of November 1 while at a private event. A verbal disagreement ensued, and sadly, Takeoff was shot and killed. Police stated that the rapper was an innocent bystander who was struck by stray bullets.

As Hip Hop continues to mourn the late star, the investigation into his death continues. Takeoff was in a room of upward of 30 people when he was killed, but police claim they are struggling with finding witnesses who will cooperate. Nevertheless, arrests have been made, but Clark has denied responsibility.

The Daily Beast reportedly also caught up with people who knew Clark personally, including rapper Jmali. According to the artist, DJ Pat wasn’t a violent person.

“You could see by the reactions of everyone that we’re shocked because that’s not the type of person [Clark] is,” Jmali said. “He was about business, not violence.”

“Pat was similar to Takeoff in that he was quiet and just went about his business,” the rapper added. “That’s why this is so surprising to everyone here.”

Additionally, a friend of Clark’s, who reportedly wanted to remain anonymous, told TDB they believed he was being “framed” for Takeoff’s murder. They also didn’t think Clark would “jeopardize” himself and his life’s work.

“I know him. He’s not like that. I honestly feel like they got the wrong guy,” a person told the outlet. “He doesn’t get mad or hostile. He’s very nice and thoughtful. That’s all I have to say. I feel he is being framed.”

Prosecutors believe otherwise and allege Clark wanted to flee to Mexico as the investigation heated up.

Cameron Joshua was also arrested in connection with the incident, however, he faces a firearm charge. Investigators don’t believe Joshua had anything to do with Takeoff’s death, but he has been tacked for “carrying a weapon illegally at the party.”

Takeoff Update: Alleged Killer Wants Judge To Help Fund Defense

It’s only been just over a month since Takeoff was tragically shot and killed at a private party in Houston. Last week, Houston police arrested and charged the alleged gunman, Patrick Xavier Clark, with murder in Takeoff’s sudden death.

Clark is now claiming that he is unable to afford the hiring of a private investigator. Since he will need one to start building his defense, the accused is asking a judge for the money.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Clark is asking for an initial sum of $5,000. He claims he needs the money in order to hire a private investigator. He’s “financially unable to cover the costs,” according to the papers.

The alleged murderer claims to have already found a P.I. who will work on the case for a reduced rate of $85/hour. He just doesn’t have the money to pay for it himself.

The docs are also claiming that Clark’s family is unable to financially assist, as they’ve spent all of their money on his attorney.

The attorney is further arguing that a private investigator is necessary for the Takeoff case. In order to “properly investigate [Clark’s] case and to prepare effectively for trial,” he claims.

The accused 33-year-old is a known DJ in the Houston area who goes by DJ Pat, according to DJ Akademiks.

Recent reports indicate that although he claims innocence, Clark is “nervous and concerned” to appear in court. The funeral service for Takeoff took place at State Farm Arena in his hometown of Atlanta on November 11. A star-studded guest list made appearances to pay respect to their late friend.

Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys and Chlöe Bailey were among those who performed tributes for the sold-out crowd of 20,000. Make sure to stay tuned to HNHH with the latest updates in the trial.

Suspect In Takeoff’s Murder Case Is “Nervous” & Concerned”: Report

The shocking death of Takeoff is still felt throughout Hip Hop, but prosecutors believe they found his killer in Patrick Xavier Clark. Arrests have been made in connection to the untimely death of the Migos star, but Clark denies he’s responsible. It was in the wee morning hours of November 1 when Takeoff attended a private party at a Houston bowling alley. A verbal argument ensued and shots were fired, striking the beloved rapper in the head and back. It has been reported by investigators that Takeoff wasn’t involved in the disagreement.

Meanwhile, Clark made his first court appearance this week, where his attorney argued on his behalf. Although Clark didn’t say a word during the hearing, lawyer Letitia Quinones told the judge he was “nervous” and “concerned.” This was because “he’s being charged with something that he believes he’s innocent of, so how would anyone do in that type of circumstance?”

In recent press conferences, police have pleaded with the public to help with acquiring information about the case. Although it was stated that upwards of 30 people were in the room when Takeoff was killed, investigators still struggle to find cooperative witnesses.

Additionally, two other people, a man and a woman, sustained gunshot wounds during the incident, but they weren’t life-threatening. The relationship between Clark and Takeoff is unknown; however, the suspect is widely recognized as DJ Pat.

Quinones was questioned about Clark and Takeoff’s connection. “We really don’t want to go into the facts at this point,” she said. Quinones added that this was all a “tragedy and it’s happening well too often in our communities.”

“There is a lot of investigation that needs to be done,” she stated. “So, we just ask that everyone keep an open mind and let the system do its part and let the Constitution do its part, and that is, right now, he’s innocent until he’s proven guilty.”

The attorney also denied that her client was attempting to flee to Mexico. It was reported that Clark filed for an emergency passport and was arrested with a large sum of cash.
